Kneeling down next to the trapped fox, Oliver made sure his movements were slow to avoid startling the poor thing. Careful just in case it would bite, slowly he freed it from that awful trap. Wrapping it up in a towel, the fox got a few gentle pets from him. How anyone could put out such awful traps, leaving them to suffer for who knows how long.

If he found the bastards that put out the traps, he'd break their damn legs for making these sweet critters suffer.

"Such a beauty. I'll take you home with me, make sure to care for you until you're healed. Don't worry little one, you'll be better again soon enough."

put yourself out there and show enthusiasm and a willingness to participate and socialize, and people will reflect your energy back to you. it's good practice and you will get better at it over time and it will get less scary. // op here and this was helpful tysm! I think for me it’s mostly just like, sometimes I just genuinely can’t think of something to say. Sometimes it doesn’t help when people give you absolutely nothing on their profile to prompt conversation. But I’ve known people who can just come up with conversation starters on the fly and have no problem keeping up interactions. I do know that the effort needs to come from both sides though and ig that’s also a struggle for me because there are so many people out there who don’t really put in the effort if you don’t already know them or one of their close friends (either ic or ooc). Or if you’re not instantly the most interesting person to ever exist. My go to is usually to initiate dms based on profile info but as mentioned above sometimes not even that is possible. I haven’t tried anything like 20 questions yet, but perhaps will in future! My disorders just often leave me burnt out in general, so I like to rp to unwind and as a way to get better at interacting and writing with others. But it means that plot calls that might take that extra effort, like a question game, I can experience demand avoidance about actually doing it. So all in all it’s just a struggle, though I am trying to learn and adapt, to really push my muses out there and not have to worry about being the only one that puts in any real effort
