i wonder how affected the mourn watch & emmrich were by the mage rebellion. i guess less than any other southern mages because they have the necropolis to run, which can’t be abandoned and strongly has the good will of the nobility, and also good fucking luck to the templar who tries to get at them in there. but at least politically/socially there must have been something. it’s robably because of how lax and (relatively) welcome it is, but nevarra was a centre for the circle of magi, it’s where the first enchanters used to gather for the college

Sudden thought: If Solas is playing an advisory role (as opposed to losing his shit at Rook for fucking shit up so epicly and having a tantrum) then he's basically going from being in a position of Pride to being in a position of Wisdom.

If Solas really is a spirit like Cole then that has interesting implications.

CODEX ENTRY: THE HERO OF FERELDEN - DINAYA TABRIS

The Hero of Ferelden grew up in Denerim's impoverished elven alienage. A bitter clash with a Denerim noble during her wedding resulted in her facing arrest by the city guards. The Grey Warden Commander Duncan recruited Dinaya, saving her from a certain death sentence.

Rumors sprouted of her having entered into a romantic relationship with a former Chantry sister and Orlesian bard during the Fifth Blight, though these rumors remain unconfirmed.

After defeating the Archdemon and ending the Fifth Blight, Dinaya took up the mantle of Warden - Commander of Ferelden. She began the task of rebuilding the order in Ferelden until her disappearance several years later.

Inquisition agents later uncovered that she had left to travel west in search for a cure to the Calling.

Codex entry: Solas (2/2)

"Inquisitor,

Despite my efforts, I have been unable to locate Solas. From the site of your battle with Corypheus, he was last seen headed west, still distraught over the destruction of the orb Corypheus carried. From there he disappeared, evading my people so easily and so completely that I am forced to wonder how much he knew about them.

When Solas initially approached the Inquisition and offered aid, I questioned him extensively about his background and history. He was evasive, but he did give the name of the village where he grew up, noting that it was small, unlikely to appear on any map.

I hate loose ends, so I kept a few of my agents searching, to verify his story. They recently located the village… or what remains of it. It is a ruin, as it has been for centuries, its name preserved only in degraded form in Ancient Tevinter mysteries. Whoever Solas truly is, wherever he came from, he has deceived us from the very start.

I apologize for not investigating this more thoroughly while Solas was here. He was clearly helping us, and other matters were of greater urgency, but it was an oversight nevertheless, given how little he shared with us. It is not clear what his plans are, if any, but I will continue to search.

i dont know if we're allowed to talk about the weapon codex entries here but ive been going through the patron posts and help omgggggg red's hammer is as tall as briony 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 AND TALLER THAN SHERRY 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 ...... almost as tall as riel rip........

It's HUGE and it can get even bigger than that if there's a need for it! *that's what she said* It's a very useful and versatile weapon, and he's getting better at throwing it when it's in its smaller form, too! His family doesn't even really know about it because they'd all laugh at the thought of him carrying any kind of weapon, let alone this giant, brutal warhammer 😭 The only thing funnier to them would be a gun or a sword!
