another Rosienne card, woo! this time for the fan event hosted by @zetsubobu <3 it's quite ironic that i choose to participate in a hat-based event considering the fact that i famously hate drawing hats but i still had a lot of fun with this!! i thought Rosienne would especially fit the aesthetic, so here he is!!

One of the more open and bubbly people at Night Raven College, but that friendly smile of his hides an ulterior motive - to help you find your true love, of course! And maybe learn the latest school gossip along the way, but that's less important than your heart's desires! Rosienne grew up as the ugly duckling, a little too weird, a little too focused on his books. He quickly learned how to turn those things into strengths - to become loud and funny, and overly dramatic. Quirky, instead of a weirdo. Fewer kids teased him that way. But you couldn't change everything that way. The books he read were always full of dramatic, sweeping love stories that always had a picture-perfect happy ending, yet it looked like it would never happen to him. He could only watch the people around getting together or, worse yet, get asked out as a prank. It made him resent all those beautiful, popular kids, who seemed to only care about their appearance, their social media accounts and going to parties. He started to stop taking care of himself, look messy on purpose, as if to spite everyone else. So he rolls up at NRC, angry, looking like he never brushed his hair in his life, with no idea how to tie a tie. Getting sorted into Pomefiore was as surprising for him as for everyone else. He's far from an ugly duckling now, sparkling and fashionable and with a new hair color every other week. Accepting he will probably never get his own perfect romance, he instead focuses on other people, trying to find the perfect match for everyone around him. Pairing people up and giving them unsolicited advice is his biggest passion, one he had almost turned into a job. Not only does he work on the school newspaper, he has his own column where he gives anonymous students love advice. Despite his cheerful, happy-go-lucky exterior, Rosienne is fierce and stubborn and loves being challenged. Once he put his mind to something, few things can stop him, and he's not above using the gossip he gathered about other students as blackmail. He's also more mature than he may come off as; he understands other people's emotions well and the advice he gives them is often surprisingly good. His signature spell is called Kiss of True Love. It allows him to feel other people's emotions for a limited amount of time.

RELATIONSHIPS

Vil Schoenheit - it was hate at first sight - Vil seemed like everything Rosie hated and Vil couldn't believe that somebody who looked like he just walked out of a barn would even dare to speak a word to him. They often fought, unable to see eye to eye. But being in the same dorm and class, as well as sharing a friend, forced them to interact more often than they would have liked. Over time, somehow, they actually managed to become friends, slowly learning that they may have more in common than they had initially thought. Vil helped Rosie gain confidence and taught him how to properly take care of himself and find his own style. In retrospect, Rosienne should've expected that he would eventually catch a crush. It's not like he can have one good thing in life, and Vil was stunning, and charismatic, and worked harder than anyone to reach his goals. There was no other ending to this. Rosie is convinced that Vil is so out of his league, he could never return any of those feelings. So he keeps quiet, pining on the sidelines, convinced this is the best way out of the situation. Rook Hunt - they quickly became friends, back in freshman year. Rosienne found Rook's eccentricity interesting, even a little impressive. He found Rook's outlook on life very romantic and he liked listening to him talk; Rook's definition of beauty was different from other people and that helped Rosie look at some things in his own life differently. He just couldn't understand what Rook saw in Vil. It was actually in part due to Rook that Rosienne and Vil had finally stopped fighting. Nowadays, Rook and Rosie can often be spotted on campus, chatting about something in French. Rosienne also finds Rook's ability to gather information on other people very useful in his own line of work. Epel Felmier - Rosie saw a lot of the younger version of himself in Epel, which made him instantly fond of the boy. When Vil got too overbearing, Epel would often go and complain to Rosienne, since he was always empathetic and seemed the most like an "uninvolved third party". Unfortunately for Epel, Rosie didn't stop at just giving him advice on how to handle their housewarden and jumped straight into trying to set him up with somebody. After all, is there anything sweeter than young love? Lilia Vanrouge - since Rosienne was always drawn to the people that were different in some way, he quickly developed an interest in Lilia. Simply put - the fae seemed cool as hell and Rosie wanted to be his friend. He was shy but eager in trying to approach Lilia, who found it amusing. They often hang out to do some dumb shit together, and it's not unheard of Rosie to just randomly burst into Diasomnia for tea and some chit-chat
