Warnings: lots of fluff, some insecure/not worthy feelings, mentions of nightmares, (following my friend's @dixons-sunshine design cause I have no idea what I'm doing yet. SORRY KRYS 😅)

A/N: HEEEEY! So, huh. This is the first time I ever posted on Tumblr or done smt like this (I'm familiar with writing short fics, fics and one-shots, but not headcanons) so idk what the outcome may be... but I'll try to have fun since this is just a way to pass time and write down some kinda random stuff I had in my head! With that said, let's head on to it!

☽‧₊˚ Daryl would look at you questioning why you want cuddles out of nowhere, but he would comply with a small smile nonetheless. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ Daryl would allow you to cuddle his arm if you guys are still with other people. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ The first time he laid down with you in a bed (way long ago), he was paralysed and didn't know what to do when your body moved closer to him seeking comfort and warmth. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ Daryl at first is super shy to even hold you, not to talk about cuddling you. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ Even when you occasionally hugged him out of fear/anxiety after a dangerous situation back then, his body would stiffen, and he would barely move (the poor man being too conflicted in his own mind to mind how you were doing yourself). ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ Daryl frequently thought it was wrong for you to hug him or seek comfort from him because of how broken he felt he was. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ As you grow closer, he will begin to feel more comfortable with physical contact with you. ONLY you. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ Don't get him wrong, just because he stands you better than the others, doesn't mean he is gonna behave all sunshine with everyone ‧₊˚ (He is like a little stray animal who has trust issues and doesn't know how to act towards kindness 🥺😭❤️‍🩹)

☽‧₊˚ Daryl is straightforward and will tell you when he is not in the mood for hugs, cuddles and such. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ He "secretly" loves the cuddles with you sitting in his lap and resting your head on his chest. ‧₊˚ (don't tell him I told ya 🤫)

☽‧₊˚ He has memorised your cuddling patterns and discovered you have a cuddling setting time. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ It is a rule for Daryl now that he will wrap you with his arm and hold you closer on cold nights or when he feels you're distressed. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ "'S aight peach, 'm here with ya." ‧₊˚ (he would def whisper that in your ear with his raspy voice 🤭😆😆)

☽‧₊˚ Sometimes, cuddle times (anytime from 10 pm to midnight) end up in conversations that worry/tire you (mainly after an event has occurred), which is why Daryl prefers not to talk much and just hold you between his arms. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ Other times, you guys plan things together like what to look for in the next run, things you'd like to do or want him to teach you or just joke and enjoy each other's presence. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ When you are too worried, Daryl passes his hand through your hair and massages your temple. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ He often kisses your head or forehead when you fall asleep first (which is sincerely always lmao). ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ Daryl gets grumpy/worried when he wakes up in the morning and you're not by his side, but he masks it well. ‧₊˚ (to the others tho 👀)

☽‧₊˚ On the contrary, if he wakes first and still finds you sleeping, he will watch over you lovingly and maybe place a kiss or two to wake you up. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ You both like to intertwine your hands as you cuddle. Daryl often kisses your knuckles when you do. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ He will big-spoon you to eternity unless he is angry, or distressed. ‧₊˚ (so you might be the one big-spooning lol or maybe just giving him some space)

☽‧₊˚ During difficult times or when you're most agitated/anxious, Daryl reverts into thinking he isn't worth enough to be with you or hold you like he does. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ You never take it on him when he doesn't know how to console you, instead, sometimes you are the one consoling him, because you know he needs it as well. He appreciates it. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ Daryl has had nightmares previously revolving around his past, his family, his brother, and occasionally even you. You are always there to reassure him that you love him, and you are not going anywhere without him with kisses. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ If you ever fight/argue, cuddle time is not interrupted. Daryl would take the coach and you'd take the bed, though in the middle of the night, you (who couldn't fall asleep after the argument and without Daryl by your side) would feel some weight on the bed and next thing is, Daryl's apologising for acting like that, expressing his mind more openly and calmed, and asking you to not stay angry at him for longer. You (or more like me haha) can't stay angry with him for that long, so you'd have gone to meet him for the same thing. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ After a fight comes reconciliation, and with it comes reconciliation cuddles and quality time together. ‧₊˚

☽‧₊˚ He adores hugging you from behind (softly or firmly) whenever you're cooking or doing something. It will surely be accompanied by some cheek and neck kisses. ‧₊˚ (😆😆)

Alright, that's all I could come up with in the past 2 hours or so (I think...).

I decided to do this basically because... I was feeling sleepy and just felt like having cuddles- 😶 And with my not-so-sudden Daryl Dixon rise concerning stuff about him on Tumblr, and discovering a new page of Daryl's content (fic, hdcs and series) I absolutely adored, I said to myself (in my sleepy state ofc) why don't I make one too? I mean, it could be nice and cute to do short (hopefully, cause this ain't short at all 😭) content about the fandoms and more that I like.

How do you feel when people say that Takaya is just using Jin and Chidori?

{{ You mean like that one hot take that drove me up the wall? lmao I am going to give you the full blown dissertation here i go-- let's call this essay

The Most Commonly Misunderstood Thing About Takaya's Character: or Why Team Strega Is Not Literally A Cult lol

When people say that Takaya is just 'using" Jin and Chidori, what they're implying in most contexts is that Takaya is incapable of forming attachments and his motivations are fairly shallow-- essentially Takaya is not a complex villain and should be dismissed as purely selfishly motivated and malicious. He's a "simple" villain.

Now I realize....... that I might be biased as that girly that's written him on a dedicated blog for multiple years now, but purely objectively speaking, removing all my own headcanons, using only the information provided to use in canon? It's just thoroughly false, tbh!

First I'll go into why he isn't purely selfishly motivated and then I'll explain his relationship with Strega because I can prove the motivation with just Reload as an example, let alone the novel. Takaya, in Reload especially but even in the original game, I would argue has a full blown character arc off screen. At the start of the game he does appear to be more selfish, he has no real motivation and is just living out the last of his life doing underhanded assassin work-- nothing's really challenging him. But as the story progresses, Takaya begins to express a meaningful ideology-- he develops a greater concern for the world around him and expresses a full blown motivation. He says, in protest to the choices of the protagonist in one of his social events, and I quote: " Choosing to turn a blind eye towards your own power, to the grief of the fallen, to the unchosen and the unloved." Its clear he is not talking about himself here, as he mentions grief for the fallen. Takaya is expressing that he feels grief for something-- he is sorry about something that has happened to someone else, and it bothers him enough to nearly scream about it.

I think, often times, people dismiss what Takaya says as insincere almost automatically without any indication that he doesn't mean the words he's saying besides perhaps being vain and dishonest in other scenes, but these social event scenes are clearly meant to be interpreted as him being unusually earnest. By the end, Takaya is not just trying to keep his own power, but, as he says " this is not just my will but the will of all people. " which all culminates into Takaya's final character arc moment, where, in his final boss, he says the line " I will throw away my pride! " before using an evoker instead of trying to summon without help, implying that he is finally sacrificing his ego to better fight for what he believes in. If he was fighting for a positive cause, this would be a heroic moment, but it is still concrete evidence that his motivation is no longer meant to be seen as purely selfish. He is now fighting for " the will of all people ". He cares about the " the fallen, the unchosen and the unloved."

So what about Jin and Chidori? To put it simply, Takaya is not some puppet master that breaks them down emotionally and treats them like tools. They're his friends, and he happens to have a leader's personality, so they follow him, much like the protagonist he is designed to mirror. Its a lot easier to guess how he feels about them when you don't assume the worst and look at all his canon interactions with them. And even easier to tell if you can manage to read any english translated pages of their strega-focused novel ( which we can assume is fairly canon since Reload references it with the child turned into a large shadow ).

In the novel, as far as I've seen ( its only partially translated ), team Strega is extremely informal and lighthearted around each other. There is no sign that they fear Takaya, as they are willing to tease each other and disagree. The opening scenes of the book quickly establish a sort of family-like dynamic, with Takaya having an older brother-like role. He teases Chidori ( in a bit of heavy handed foreshadowing ) that she will understand why people fall in love when she's older-- of which Chidori sort of says gross and "as if" and rolls her eyes at him. Jin, being the narrator perspective, shows no sign of intimidation when around Takaya, something that would bleed through into their every interaction-- especially the establishing scene introducing the cast-- if that were the case. I feel, even if the novel is not canon, the writer would be instructed not to write Takaya so friendly if he was meant to be a heartless manipulator regardless.

In the game, the most manipulative thing he ever does to either is when Chidori is pulled back into Strega. Takaya tells her that there is nowhere else she can go and reminds her that death is not to be feared in a way that sounds like he's repeated this mantra often enough he knows she can guess it. This seems spooky, but the tension is immediately alleviated by the flippant and kind of sassy way that Chidori assures them she remembers Takaya's advice. This is not how you talk to your cult leader and this is not a cult, this is something closer to a gang or a club-- at worst, a coven of witches ( considering their team name is "witch" in italian.). They simply have an in-group and out-group sort of mentality, a shared since of identity, and a shared view of the world to go with it, which is to be expected when you've been openly shunned and mocked by the average person ( as seen at the start of the first scene with Shinji ) But this scene, when compared to all their mundane and lighthearted interactions, doesn't imply anything more severe than the leader of your misfit club reminding you why we don't hang out with the normies. You're "one of us" and a level of loyalty and commitment is expected when you otherwise always act as a group.

Yes, he is very cold and indifferent to the sight of his team members getting hurt-- or hurting themselves, for that matter, but the reason for this is obvious. In Reload, Takaya plainly expresses that he is feeling attachment ( for the protag at the moment ) but is avoiding his own capability for attachment intentionally. That scene was meant to establish that he can feel attachment, that he isn't as cold as he pretends to be, to encourage the viewer to see him with a little more nuance. What causes a man to force himself to be colder than he really is? What can cause an avoidance toward emotional attachment? Maybe...... watching 100 children die after being orphaned and stolen away to live underground for years? lmao

And so, when Takaya watches Chidori do self harm or literally sacrifice her life, for one-- he's not going to parent her, they don't have that kind of relationship, and he would be a hypocrite if he tried to encourage her not to do what she wants to to her dying body-- and two, of course he doesn't mind if Chidori dies, he's expecting that to happen anyways. His one greatest gift is his uncanny ability to accept death and the death of others. Mourning you openly is not how he expresses emotion. Especially when he sincerely believes death is a blessing. Its just the way she died that he's a little annoyed by. ( And why shouldn't he be honestly-- the girl threw her life away on the first nice guy she met at the mall just to make his work harder from his perspective, lmao ) BUT. In the comic version of that scene, Takaya does let himself be cut across the chest purely because he hesitated to shoot when he saw Chidori's spirit protecting Junpei. So... that might imply something.

However, if there is any greater evidence against any who claim that Takaya does not care about Jin especially... Takaya's final words, in multiple renditions of the story including the movies and Reload, are to say that he wishes Jin was with him as he died. If there is anyone that Takaya cared for, at least one single character in the entire game, it is above all Jin Shirato.

In the movies its very obvious, with the sad closeup shot of him looking beaten and washed up as he wishes Jin could be here to see it all end with him. I have the scene as an icon ! Look at how emotional the framing is !

So yeah, that's how I feel, it just drives me crazy when people remember Takaya as just Some Asshole lmao-- he IS an asshole! But he's no Chairman Ikutsuki, he has a lot of complexity to him beyond being the guy who killed Shinji, and not everything he does is black and white. There is highly plausible reason to believe Takaya cared for both of them in his own way, but the ever loyal, best friend, Jin Shirato, especially so. }}

They may look like simple golden wedding bands to the public, but the wedding bands the royal couple wears have a lot more going on than one might think - they're very personal, made by the their own hands.

The first signature feature of these rings is the fact that they are made with song. Melody is the gold, and that melody is 'More than Anything', but personal to L&L. They sang as they made these rings and poured their hearts into it. If you run your fingers over them, you'll hear the song in your head.

This bleeds into the second feature, being that the rings are bound with blood - their mixed blood, at that. With great intimacy, they cut into the other's hand one way or another and squeezed their palms together, combining crimson and gold. They sung, and the magic in their blood listened and spun with it until it became a physical manifestation of two pristine rings. In certain lights, there is a red glint and shade to the surface.

Their wedding bands being formed in such an intimate way gives them an even deeper spiritual connection; though Lilith is all the way in Heaven, locked behind the pearly gates, she takes comfort in speaking quietly to her wedding ring - as even if he is in the deepest bowels of Hell, Lucifer is able to hear her like the most quiet whisper. It's so quiet, it's difficult and he needs to focus, but he can hear her, and she can hear him.

Naturally, I do not auto-apply this headcanon to any Lucifer - it is purely the choice of the writer if they would like to play with it, otherwise it is simply my own.

3 pros and cons of dating Mikey

Pros:

Will take you to lots of dessert places and buffets for dates(Also amusement parks). He enjoys going out often, and will even share his flags with the one he loves! Also, he'll take you all over on his motorcycle.

He tends to spoil you. He insists on paying for everything. Mikey is very sweet, loving, and thoughtful, trying to predict things you may want or need. This could also be a con though, as he can become a bit overbearing with his need to please. Luckily he's still very respectful of boundaries and will back off if his partner asks.

He's very protective of you, and the ultimate human weapon. He's always wary of his surroundings, and looking out for you. If something happened to you, he would burn the world down in order to save you.

Cons:

He tends to be very immature about certain things, and he sometimes will even throw a tantrum, which can be quite embarassing in public(Such as denying him flags.)

He may just well lose himself to the darkness someday. Before that happens, he'd try and push you away, but if that failed, then he could very well kill you.

He has literally no dating experience, and will probably be awkward as hell at first. He's never even had a crush before. Mikey will be like "Why is my heart doing this thing...? Am I dying?" and just be clueless about his feelings for a good while. He's especially unsure around women, since he's never had any as friends, and he doesn't quite know how to treat them. (Until he gets comfortable enough to start spoiling them.)

I originally thought about reblogging and having yall ask me the questions but i decided i would just answer them all in one go because i think these questions would be really fun to understand about him SO!!! HERE GOES NOTHING

TW: gender dysphoria and transphobia

How does your muse describe their own identity? Do they use a different label or describe themselves differently depending on who's asking?

He doesn’t much like the labels — trans man feels too limiting, nonbinary masc presenting is probably the closest but still doesn’t quite hit the mark. He isn’t super well versed into other form of gender on the spectrum so he hasn’t looked into anything else — so for the most part he defaults to trans male, which he doesn’t proclaim from the mountaintops nor does he keep a secret. He will tell those who ask him with no shame, but he’s also not about to start a conversation with it (unless in an appropriate situation ie a queer centric meetup or something like that)

How does your muse most enjoy dressing, when they feel at ease to present however they like? Is this different to how they present most of the time?

He just likes dressing alternative. Probably best described as goth punk. And punks wear whatever the fuck they want, so for the most part he feels comfortable in almost everything these days — the most comfortable thing for him to wear is a larged oversized hoody and maybe a nice pair of nineties straight leg jeans — bagger clothes always feel safer.

How does your muse handle feeling dysphoric or insecure in their appearance?

When that dysphoria be hitting he will have a good, long cry about it. He isnt so insecure that he will try to cover the mirrors in his house but he certainly wont be looking in them. How he tries to get OUT of that dysphoric slump is to emulate those he thinks are “peak masculinity” in his eyes. His favorite actors and musicians, or friends he knows that fit the bill of his perfect, idealized version of masculinity.

Did your muse's orientation or way of feeling attracted to others shift with their gender identity?

Absolutely not. Hes very comfortable with the fact he is so into just about everyone LMAO 

What was the moment your muse first realized (or began to realize) their gender roles didn't match up with who they were or wanted to be?

It was slow and gradual for him. He lived a very sheltered childhood, only allowed to spend time with very specific people that his dad deemed “worthy” and he wasnt allowed much in the way of internet access so he wasnt able to stumble upon the labels of it until he was in high school and thoroughly embroiled in his “tomboy” era. 

Is there someone your muse considers a "gender icon" or aspires to be like?

@skullfck and @ohfiendangelical both actually. Salem thinks that if you mix those two together (NOT PERSONALITY ABSOLUTELY NOT PERSONALITY THIS IS ALL LOOKS AND VIBES) that would make the perfect man. Absolute gender god. He wishes to achieve that some day LMAO

What does your muse's ideal example of their gender look like? Eg. "the ideal man" and so on.

Strong, brave, willing to embrace femininity (as that is a very important part of the human experience to him since he was so embroiled in it and also for religious reasons), if we are also talking PHYSICAL then like. Prominent adams apple. BOY HANDS????? This is a long and very complicated question and i might get back to this on another post sometime but for the most part he thinks he has reached his ideal in many ways, but of course there is always room for improvement

Have the people in your muse's life been more of a support or a hindrance in them exploring or coming out and/or learning about themselves?

Save for his brother, his family wasnt understanding, they were anti-med in general so he wasnt able to begin his medical transition until after he left home and moved up to san francisco. NOW, however, he is very lucky to be around people who love and encourage him <3 

Talk about a key moment in your muse's journey towards becoming their more ideal self.

Changing his name was really hard for him because his mom was the one that gave it to him, and he had just freshly lost her around the time he decided to go through with it. Not only did changing his name really feel like a turning point where he was fully embracing the fact that he is trans and that this is who he is, but it was also a way to distance himself from his family. 

Is your muse confident in their identity? Still questioning? Is there anything that ever makes them feel doubtful about themselves?

His confident that he is masculine, but he thinks his very personal definition of “man” might very strongly differ from those who identify as a man themselves. But at the end of the day, he thinks thats just the nature of gender. Hes comfortable in that.

Does your muse consider themselves out and proud, or would they rather live their life quietly and unnoticed?

OUT AND PROUD BABY he wears his scars visibly a lot, like you can see them through mesh shirts or popping out of the bottom of a crop top or something, and like i said before he has no problem telling people. 

What very personalized piece of advice would your muse give, either to their younger self or to someone else just beginning to explore who they are?

if youre questioning your gender identity in any way, chances are you arent as cis as you think. and thats okay! down with cis!(jokingly) lmao

Is there a seemingly gender-unrelated thing that gives your muse a feeling of gender euphoria? (Eg. an activity outside of the usual societally gender-coded ones that they associate with their gender for some certain reason, an article of clothing that isn't specifically gendered but feels flattering or validating in some way, etcetera.)

Shirts like these, and having a SHIT ton of tattoos. Thats so gender to him

Did your muse experience a grieving process at the beginning of realizing their identity, or was the revelation wholly positive and affirming for them?

GOD YEAH. his dad very much made it seem like transness was inherently unnatural or just very rare — for the majority of his high school days he was told that it was just a phase, and for a while he really hoped that it was because he had a very hard time dealing with the disrespect and blatant misgendering from his family members. “If i were a girl like they tell me i’m supposed to be, this would all be easier and they wouldn’t be so disappointed” sorta thinking. Sometimes he still catches himself grieving, but for entirely different reasons now. Mostly because he feels robbed of a childhood as a boy, but then he remembers that as a child he was his most authentic self, really. Gender didnt matter then. He was him and thats what matters.

Did your muse feel like they had to "learn" how to perform their gender, or did they slip into the role naturally? Did they change much about their mannerisms or how they interact with the world, at all?

He tried for a bit to play the hyper masculine role when he first discovered his transness, most specifically to appeal to his families very dated and limited views on masculinity — but once he left and starts spending more time with flamboyant gay men and queer masc leaning individuals, he quickly fell back into what he was before. A healthy dose of masculine and feminine both, but the way he sees it — he’s just him.

in the aftermath of moonrise, it takes quite a while for isobel to comfortable introduce herself as 'isobel thorm' — the association with her father and her family after what her father did to them all is a stain she isn't sure how to wash away... until she begins to realize that the only way to do so is to do good works and reclaim that name.

post-game, isobel is proclaiming her family name, and working to ensure that her father's deeds are not the last thing anyone will remember about the thorm family.

The one alone. forsaken. surely this can't be surprising. of course the defining characteristic of your life is how achingly alone you are in it. fog is rolling in around you, chilling you to the bone, and you can't bring yourself to care. throngs of faceless people bustle past, knocking into you, but your apology is swallowed up by the din of the crowd, lost forever. you are standing in an icy puddle, getting your best shoes wet. you are lost in a foreign country and you can't read the signs that might point you back to where you came from. there is a glass wall separating you from everyone around you, you could bang and yell all you like but the sounds will just fall muffled on their indifferent ears. you could lay down right here and curl up, and others would just step over or around you, your pain nothing more than a mild inconvenience on their commute to do important things. you are being left behind. if you faded away, would people even notice? sure, they might notice the absence of all the things you've done for them. they might even miss all those little gestures. but that's not really the same thing as missing you, is it? now, now. there's no need to get upset. what good has that ever done for anyone? just allow yourself to drift away, quiet and peaceful. at least here, you're somewhere you're wanted.

3. is your muse typical about where they sleep or can they fall asleep just about anywhere?

Jevil:

Jevil can sleep practically anywhere, in the air, on the floor, crunched up in a box it doesn't matter. Especially since he literally had nothing to sleep on or with when he got locked up in his little freedom.

Spamton:

Once again the exact opposite of Jevil. Spamton likes being enclosed by something whether it's being surrounded by trash in a dumpster or enclosed by blankets and plushies he needs to feel something by him or on him.
