The moment her eyes landed on him, it felt like the world had stopped. The cold temperature were suddenly replace with warm breeze, comforting and home-like almost. As she stares at the boy's face that's almost like an angel, she were struck by the love arrow once again. The feeling she felt once before came all over again, her heart flutters and her stomach grew butterflies in it. Her breathe hitched when his eyes fell upon her, it felt like eternity waiting for him to speak but she felt her warmness inside her when the boy's gaze towards her was so loving that she thought she's probably imagining. It felt like it was spring, cherry blossom falling upon her, on them both. At that moment, it only felt like it was the two of them in this world, her perfect world with him inside of it.
Only for the world to get shattered into pieces as the boy wasn't referring to her, realizing the boy's ever so loving gaze wasn't directed to her but to someone, and that someone was close to her. A bit disappointed inside her heart, she decided that she should avoid the boy. But how could she? When his loving gaze still remains the same as the time they first met, the angelic smile he that adorns his face and pretty little shyness that he held within him. Every moment felt like pieces of cherry blossoms waiting to be pieced together as a complete portrait of heart, him being the very focus, the prince of her heart, her beloved. At that point, she thought if she can bring it a little further, a bit more further? however, she felt a sense of guilt towards the taller boy, and with a lingering disappointment that his gaze filled with love was never really for her and it felt like there was this invisible barrier that she somehow felt she must not break it, and that was her another beloved one, you.
but fate seems to play with her as the prince of her heart soon comes like truly that one prince that saves his princess as it always does in fairy tales.
Chaewon tried to scream, asking for help but her screams were muffled as the hands on her mouth were pressed tighter, it felt like eternity as she tried to escape from the stranger's strong grasp but then another firm hand, but warm, pulled her hand immediately breaking her away from the stranger behind her. Too scared, she couldn't processed anything as everything were happening too fast so she kept her eyes shut tight, her face landed on the person's chest, and suddenly she felt safe. And the person in question, voiced out.
"Get the fuck away from here." he spat out, and she recognized the voice. Opening her eyes to look at him, at that moment their eyes met. And there it was, that loving gaze of him again. It felt so warm. She gasped when Heeseung's hand caressed her back, asking her if she's okay, but everything seems blur and what he asked fell into deaf ears as she scanned his features which was now adorned with concern. And at that moment, in his arms that felt like home, his eyes that resemble of a warm sun, she wanted him.
Ever since that day, time seems to slow down without his presence and when he's around, time seems to move fast and the moments with him never felt enough, and Chaewon wanted more time with him. His pretty smile whenever they met, his deep chuckle that made her stomach grew butterflies, his warm hands when it brushes to hers, and his gaze that were filled with love.
"Hey, what you doing?" Sakura's voice snapping her out of her thoughts. Chaewon gasped as she realized the class has ended, mentally slapping herself for being too much deep in her thoughts. Noticing the girl beside her were waiting for an answer, she opened her mouth to answer back but were cut off by the older girl.
"Thinking bout Heeseung, huh?" taken aback by her words, she shake her head.
"N-no! How could you think of that?--"
"Well, if you don't make it so obvious that you like him then maybe I won't" Sakura chuckled, Chaewon's expression making her burst into laughter even more. "What? You didn't think I knew?" shaking her head, "God, Chaewon, it was so painfully obvious."
Hanging her head low, with a sad expression on her face, "Was it? I'm sorry, I didn't knew."
"It's okay! I get it, Hee is really hot. It's no doubt that many girls would want to be his, a popular guy indeed-" patting Chaewon's back, "So, it's no problem." the girl smiling so brightly to her, made her smile back in return.
"Yea, it's really no doubt.." Chaewon said in a low voice, not entirely sure she wants the girl beside her to hear about it. "I'm sorry, Sakura."
"Hm?" Sakura raising her eyebrows, "For what?"
"For liking him? I mean it's a bit bad when I think about it-"
"You silly!" flicking Chaewon's forehead, "Ah!"
"Why would you say sorry? I said it's no big deal!" Sakura laughed, very amused with Chaewon's words.
"But, you two.. are.. you know-" the next word felt too distasteful in her tongue, just hoping Sakura would get the hint.
"What? Me and Heeseung?" Pointing her fingers at herself, "A couple?" Chaewon nodded, remaining silent. But soon an even more loud snort comes out from Sakura.
"Pfft- not so close! I mean we did fuck around, and of course I did have some crush for him.." Sakura contemplated for a moment, "But I guess you gotta take the hint when its in front of you."
"Hint?"
Sakura then proceeds to tell her that Heeseung had somehow changed for the past few months, and that was in a way that was about 'girls'. As mentioned, she and Heeseung were friends with benefits but they're free to fuck anyone they want. Heeseung, at some point had returned her feelings leading to some petty little games they go with whenever it was party time. However, she wasn't sure when but it just happens when Heeseung no longer fucks with anyone during the party, a hot topic around the college. Ignoring hot chicks who want to get in his pants, or even refusing basic touch from other girls, in to which his face turned into disgust, a complete change of his character than he was before. Sakura said she doesn't believe it, but when she throw herself upon him, he seems uninterested and his eyes always seems to linger somewhere and that was his phone. Ever since then on, it was like an unspoken fact that both of them were done with it, the deal was gone just like that. The word 'benefit' was thrown out, and only the 'friends' were all that's left. Sure, yes, Sakura were still trying sometimes but she got her dignity to preserve. Feeling a bit of disappointment, but soon she shrugs it off.
"Oh well, he's hot, yea let's admit that. But he isn't the only guy in this world, I got a long list of guys queuing up for me so there's that." Sakura raising both her eyebrows in a playful manner in which Chaewon chuckled. As always, Sakura was that confident girl. "Well, I would definitely throw tantrum if it was some girls below my level that he got crush on--"
Chaewon nodding along, "But gotta admit he got some good taste, and I don't mind tho since you're literally a perfect incarnate of a goddess." Slapping Chaewon in the arms, she was confused trying to take it in what Sakura had just said and why she was looking at her like that.
"W-what?" Chaewon confused as ever.
"Gosh, as much as you're so painfully obvious. Heeseung too, dumbass." Sakura said, "You two acting like an oblivious lovebirds together most of the time, duh."
"E-eh?" Chaewon thought for a moment, "B-but.. don't you like him?" Chaewon asked with a concern expression.
"Yea, before. But it doesn't matter now especially since it's you!" leaning in to hug Chaewon, "As long as you're happy, then i'm happy for you. Sisters before fuckboys, right?" both of them bursting into laughter, hugging each other tightly. Their laughter, echoing through the empty class. Sunlight shining onto their face as they spoke about other stuffs.
Chaewon, walking through the empty hall after Sakura excused herself for some reasons. With a smile on her face that she couldn't stop, her heart felt at ease than it was a few hours ago. Was this the chance? Was this it? Thousands of questions run through her mind, making multiple scenarios of what could go right, and what could go wrong. With a sudden switch, as if someone had flick it inside her mind, she wanted to go for it, not wanting to regret it once again like she had before. Her prince, that made her heart flutter like cherry blossoms, she must look for him.
And as if fate had listened to her, as if it was binding them both in an invisible red string.
"Chaewon?" his warm voice called out behind her. Turning her back to the voice, there he was. With that same sweet smile he always had, and that loving gaze that never ceases to make her heart flutter. Chaewon returning the smile, but with her eyes sparkling with tears.
"Heeseung-ah.."
"Does it bother you?" you snapped out after listening to your sister telling about how she and Heeseung got into a relationship. You were a bit enthralled, and deep in thought to how could such thing happen in the first place. Your sister with Heeseung? What kind of nonsense is this? Realizing that she was waiting for your answer, you shook your head, smiling.
"Nope! If anything, i'm happy for you Unnie!" you took both her hands stroking it, reassuring her that you were fine with it. Yes, you are. But something was odd. You can't seem to shake that feeling, but you ignored it for now.
"Really?" you saw how your sister's eyes sparkle, "Then i'm really really glad to hear that."
Your heart felt so warm seeing your sister's smile. You can sense that she was happier than ever, love is really something, you thought. That smile, that kind of smile, you had last seen it way back before. That horrible thing you did that took that smile away and replace it with tears for years, you would never do that again.
"Of course, if you're happy then i'm happy." Your smile grew wider, then you suddenly remembered the gift you bought for her that was hidden in your pocket. "Ta-da!" you took it off, showing the dangling necklace with the music note pendant on it.
"O-oh." your sister was surprised to see it.
you stood up, walking over to your sister's back. "This is for you, Unnie. I bought it when I was in vacation, i'm a good sister right." You joked, putting it on your sister's neck while she holds her hair in her hand. Your sister chuckled lowly, amused by your choice of words. "It's a music note, just like Unnie when she's playing piano."
You smiled looking at the necklace now on its rightful owner, Chaewon holds the necklace looking at the pendant. "Thank you, (Name). It's so pretty."
"It's nothing! Unnie looks so beautiful as always." you leaned in to hug her.
"Ah, right- I got-"
"Chae! Time for the cake~" a high-pitched voice called out behind the door, sounding really excited for the cake more than the birthday girl. You frowned, the girl was too loud.. Your sister noticing your expression, laughed. Shaking your heads, you both stood up. Fixing your sister's dress as you walked alongside with her. Upon walking out of the door, your sister moves down the stairs quickly obviously going to that guy. Leaning on the door,, you watched them both giggling and being that lovebirds. Seeing your sister happy and smiling, you can't help but smile too. As your eyes moved over to the taller boy though, your smile disappeared, flashing back to that moment.
"Nice to meet you, (Name)."
You swore you had seen him smirk, or was it just your imagination? As much as you tried to shrug it off that uncomfortable feeling in your chest, you can't. Your mind trying to make sense of something, there was somehow something sinister with that 'smile'.
"(Name)!" your parents calling out for you, snapping you out from your deep thought. Answering back, you rushed downstairs as the cake was already there, on Heeseung's hand, that is. You frowned a bit, you should be the one holding it but alright you'll let this pass. Your sister in the middle pulled you closer to her left side, and Heeseung on her right holding the cake with the 20 candles already light up on it.
"Happy birthday to you~" multiple voices wishing your sister with excitement, the boy in front of your singing as well. You clapped your hands looking over at your sister who was smiling in complete happiness while wishing clasping both her hands. Soon the song ends, clapping ensues pushing your sister to blow the candle off.
"Let's blow it together! Hee, (Name)!" she exclaimed, you were a bit surprised but complied since it was her birthday anyways. Getting ready to blow it off, leaning your face a bit closer to the cake feeling the slight heat on your face, scrunching your nose as your eyes landed on the boy's face in front of you, his features now a bit brighter due to the candle. For a few seconds, you stared at him and then, his eyes met with yours. His doe eyes, it felt warm however as if you were being hypnotised, his eyes seems to darkened and it felt like there was no soul behind that eyes.
"one, two,--" voices counting numbers all over your surroundings, it was like the bass was boosted too high leading the voices to sound muffled as you were staring right into his eyes.
"Three!" the sudden rise of their voices snapped you out immediately blowing off the candle.
The three of you blows the candle off, but one of the candles in front of you suddenly fell from the cake onto the ground. You must have blow it off too hard, you mentally slap yourself. You kneeled down picking the candle wanting to put it back on the cake without much thought.
"(Name)!" your sister looking amused at you, you who were still a bit lost and confused.
"It's already dirty, (Name). Just throw it away." your sister with that smile on her face never seems to go away, you nodded throwing the candle onto the trash bin. And once again, you felt uneasy but you shrug it off whatsoever wondering what's wrong with you today.
The birthday party soon ends, and all the guests had already left including your sister's friends. But for some reason, your family wanted to host a private family dinner and that was with Heeseung. Cringing, at your parents of how they could easily accept the boy, oh well, how can they not? The hot popular guy that was perfect in every way, not to mention his tall physique and handsome face; just every parent's ideal son-in-law. And you who just wanted to go to sleep mentally praying that he would refuse it making you hang your head low, as the boy immediately agrees with it into which your sister squealed happily. You cringe once again, as much as you're rooting for your sister, you just want to go your room. You wanted to leave, but your parents won't let you telling you to get to know the boy a bit. You cursed mentally,
'dad mom, I know this guy so much better than you do."
Sighing for the 10000th time today, sitting at the table with your parents, Chaewon and her boyfriend, Heeseung. Yawning profusely, as they talked over family matters, and your parents praising Heeseung after your sister told them that he had saved her from trouble. You were grateful for him after hearing that but your sleep, your sleep is freaking important, you thought. Glancing once in awhile at your watch, frowning as to how you can just spend this time sleeping.
"Yes, sir. I'll take good care of her." Heeseung smiling and holding Chaewon's hands. Tilting your head, what a sweet words, you thought.
Your mom clearly swooning over the boy just because of what he said, you cringed.
"(Name), you've been silent for awhile now." your dad said. Obviously, you're going to switch off your playful personality when that particular person who's now your sister's lover are in front of you.
"I'm just sleepy." you blurted out without much thought, forcing a smile.
"Hm, you can go to your room now if you want-"
"That's not really polite, honey. When Heeseung's right here," your mom cuts off your dad, making you want to just smash the table and leave, "You should introduce yourself, sweetie."
"Chaewon had introduced us to each other just now," Heeseung smiled, his eyes now looking at you, "(Name), right? It's really nice to meet you, knowing that Chaewon had a very loving sister like you made me really feel at ease. We probably would meet more often starting from now, and im happy with that. And i'm going to be a good big brother to you, (Name)." sweet smile adorning his face, his words made your parents swooned even more at him.
There really was no need to exchange a few words since you kept silent, just nodding in return. Keeping that shy and reserved façade, smiling politely but in truth you were chuckling in amusement.
'Big brother? Huh?"
The dinner soon come to an end, your sister were outside your house talking with Heeseung. You observed them both, never did it pass your mind that both of could even be in a relationship but the sight in front of you says otherwise, them being awfully sweet to each other; Heeseung's arms wrapped around your sister's waist while they whisper something to each other's ears, not even caring about their surroundings. You nearly puke at the sight in front of you but seeing your sister in happiness, made you want it to last forever. You weren't entirely sure how to feel about the relationship, but you're going to see it first, for your sister.
~~
You swore you wanted to be in a good relationship with Heeseung due to the fact that he made your sister happier than ever, you wanted that particular moment of that happiness within her to last forever however something still bothers you, and you don't know what it was. Ever since you were a child, with that condition you had, something you weren't able to control that made people unable to trust you, made you felt horrible. You wanted to stop, but you can't. But people's eyes that seem to carry a hint of disgust within them made you felt anger. Over the years, it taught you to care less about other people, growing clever as time passed. You grew not to trust people and began to loathe them behind, your sister being one of them but also the one who made you felt a bit comfortable.
However, this guy that was sitting on the couch inside your house, was giving you that same feeling you had years ago. Danger, someone you can't trust completely even though you had texted with him for months, but online is never the same offline. But, considering how your sister compliments him a lot and adores him, you must be just overthinking right? Worried for your sister? Maybe it would take time to trust him, maybe.
Looking again at the said boy, you frowned. He has been visiting your house way too often now, just like he said, mentally cursing your sister a bit as they could just bring their lovebirds thingy somewhere. You thought that after the birthday party, he won't visit again. However you were proven wrong, when a knock on your house's door caught your attention, the sight in front of you made you surprised
Lee Heeseung, with a casual fit holding a bouquet of flowers. Raising one of your eyebrows as to what he was doing here, especially this early. With a shy expression on his face as he was trying to find words, you tilted your head, this doesn't seem like the cocky boy you were texting with.
"Unnie is still sleeping." you informed him.
"I know. I just want to give this to you.." he paused, giving the flowers to you making your mouth opened a lil bit to answer back, but soon he cut you off. "Can you give it to your sister when she wakes up later? It's a surprise." he grin cheerfully, taking the bouquet not wanting to prolong the conversation, you nodded mumbling a low okay taking the bouquet of flowers from his hand, your fingers brushing against his cold ones.
"And ah, (Name). Did I do something wrong?" he asked with concern replacing his cheerful grin.
"No, why do you ask?"
"Nothing, it's like you don't really like me around."
"Why do you think so?"
"I can sense it ever since the birthday party, have I done something that perhaps annoys you?"
"There's no need to worry, it's just how I am most of the time." you smiled. A tiny grin found it's home on Heeseung's lips.
"Great! I was a bit worried, to be honest," he paused, making you raised your eyebrows. "After all, you're Chaewon's sister, we can be like friends?" your lips part in a silent 'oh' as you tilted your head in response.
"Friends?"
"Yeah, didn't I said i'll be a good big brother to you.." your face somehow cringe at the word in which he notice quickly, "But since you don't really like the term, maybe we could be friends."
You contemplated for a moment, the boy's waiting for your answer. Friends, huh? Slowly nodding in response, "Sure, it would be nice." the cheerful grin adorns his face once again, that expression of his somehow made your heart flutter a bit.
"Guess our friendship starts here then?" he extended out his hand to you,
"Hm?" a bit confused, in which he answered, "It's like sealing a deal or promises if you want, so deal?" the smile never leaving his face,
"Right, it's a deal then." your hand met his, he shaked your hand playfully. Amused by the boy's personality, you let out a small chuckle.
"I'll get going now then." Heeseung said, taking his leave in which you nodded. You observed the boy's figure for awhile but went inside your house before you heard him called for you again.
"Huh?"
"Wait, here." turning once again to him, he was holding a rose. A purple one. What is this, a trick? "For you." handing the rose to you, you frowned at him.
"I'm not a big fan of roses." You lied.
"Don't lie." His lips smiling widely, your breathe hitched for a moment. "Your sister told me you like roses, especially the color purple." he took your hand, putting the rose between your fingers. Ah, is that true?
"Thanks, but there's no need-"
"We're friends, remember, it would be a waste since we're going to meet way often now, just take it." you were a bit taken aback by the 'often', but you took the rose still being silent. Realizing that you stared at the rose of awhile, forgetting the boy in front of you.
"thanks." he's still smiling, not minding you didn't answer right away.
"Is it okay If I ask for your help sometime later?" he asked.
"Huh? What kind of help?
"Haven't thought about it yet but will you do me a favor later?" you contemplated for a moment, a bit alarmed with the favor he's asking for but you hummed in return.
"Sure then! Just make sure it isn't something fishy.." you said. In which a small chuckle escapes from his mouth,
"Of course, not. See ya, (Name)." Observing his figure as he walks away, the conversation go a bit different than expected, you thought. Still raising your guards around him though, since you still had that unknown uneasy in your chest as you stare at the purple rose in your hand.
And he did exactly what he had said, showing up in your front door every other day and now. Your parent's conversation now including his name, talking about how perfect of a boyfriend he was, an ideal future son-in-law as the sweet things he did for them never seem to end.
Every now and then, he was everywhere in your life. It kinda annoys you a bit, especially when your sister won't shut up talking about him as well.
"Heeseung-ah!" your sister coming down from the stairs, running to hug her beloved boyfriend. Dramatically closing your eyes with your hands, sipping your hot chocolate drink leaving the spot. Your sister and Heeseung are going to have their mini dates, baking cookies in your home's kitchen, that is. You swear to god, why can't they just do it somewhere? Going up to your room, you turned around to take a quick glance at them for awhile, they were too busy in their own world, you thought.
Scrolling on your social media, you were getting bored staying in your room for awhile now. It's been a few hours now, aren't they done yet? You went downstairs, raising your eyebrows to how awfully silent it was. Walking hastily to the kitchen only for your jaw to dropped upon seeing that sight in front of you; your sister's back facing you making out with Heeseung. Okay, this is too much. You swiftly turn around running quietly to your room.
"Have some decency, oh my gosh!" You exclaimed while walking up to the stairs.
The next day, Heeseung showed up again. A bit too early than yesterday, as it was still fucking 6am in the morning. Just why you had to be the one opening the door every freaking time, you mentally cursed yourself and the deities. With the bag of cookies that they baked yesterday, he gave one to you, mumbling that your sis had already gave you one but he insisted as he said he just wants to.
Heeseung sat on the couch as you mumbled that your sister has gone with your parents for something, and he said he knows.
"Then why are you here again, dude?" you asked, not really looking at him.
"I'm here for the favor, remember?" Heeseung grins, the boy was being too comfortable now. "I need your help."
"Tell me first then I'll decide if it's okay."
"i notice Chaewon seems to like scented stuffs, I wonder if you could help me with it?" this guy, he's spoiling your sister a lot as it seems.
"You seem to be doing a lot for my sis." you scoffed, "Very, very fishy." sarcastically hinting that you don't trust him yet.
Letting out a low chuckle, he answered.
"I do, after all it's my girl. I'll do whatever I can-" looking up to you, "for her."
"Hm.." sighing deeply, is he that head over heels for your sister? how funny, you thought.
"Alright then, how do actually I can help you with it?" you asked back. He smiled in return. "I got some few stores in mind, is it possible if we can go now?"
And here you are in an expensive perfume store with Heeseung, you scanned his features that seem to be really invested in finding the perfect gift for your sister. Strolling around, you took one of the perfumes trying to smell it, the scent instantly boosting your mood.
"Do you think she will like it?" Heeseung asked, holding a scent samples. You walked closer, leaning to it.
"Nah, too weak." You shook your head, frowning. "Sis doesn't like weak scented perfumes, also she love fruit scented ones, so make sure to find that." you waved your hand in a playful manner. He nodded in return, turning back to look for another one again. You sighed, he really seems that serious. You sat on one of the couches, staring at him. His tall figure paired with his casual fit, just like the boy next door that could get your heart anytime he could. You gotta admit, he's hot.
"How about this?" Heeseung this time, walking over to you, bringing the sample closer to your nose.
"Still weak." you said.
"This?" he came back again.
You shake your head, smelling it. "It's still damn weak."
And another one again, followed by another again. it repeated for a plenty of time. You groaned, "Gosh, are you even good with this?"
He sighed deeply, pouting which somehow make you chuckled accidentally. "Bruh, follow me." motioning him to walk beside you as you take multiple scent samples, smelling each one of them and showing it to him. "This is perfect. See, it's a fruit scented!"
"Remember this one, dumbass." you shoved it against his face, "It's such an easy peasy stuff, gosh." you chuckled while shaking your head. Then you realized you were showing your playful side you've been trying to suppressed around him, that online identity of yours that he had grown to know very well.
"You could get something while we're here, (Name)." Heeseung said. You raised your eyebrows confused as to what he was trying to say.
"I already said, i'll take good care very well of you. So why don't you try something here and buy it if you like it?" that smile again.
"I had a lot, besides it's a waste of money." you mumbled.
"It's no big deal, i'll pay for it."
you look back at him again, "I just said I had a lot, dude."
"Just this once? Chae would get mad too if I don't buy something for you." he pouted, basically begging you. "Or shall I pick one for you too?"
"No, you're bad at it." you scoffed. "I could try." he smirked, going to the find another one even with your protests.
"Here." making you smell another scent samples once again, the smell hitting your nose, you frowned coughing profusely like a dying fish.
"I don't like strong scented ones, bruh. Sis likes it but I don't!" coughing again, in which Heeseung laughed. You pouted, slapping him on his arm,
"Laughing at me huh?"
"It's just your face-," shaking his head unable to control his laugh.
"Wh-whats wrong with my face!?" You took a quick look of yourself through the small mirror on top of the shelf.
"You look like a dying fish running out of air just now." he's still laughing, making you embarrassed. You kicked him with your right leg,
"Bitch, stop laughing. I almost die because of your stupidness."
"S-sorry!." his laughter growing louder as it pass, slapping his arm repeatedly.
"Stop laughing!" slapping him really hard, "What's so funny!?"
"N-nothing! You're just so cute I can't help it." he blurted out with a wide smile on his face, it was so sudden that it made your cheeks grew redder really quick, you felt it and embarrassment was felt more than ever before,
"And you're the idiot here!"
you slapped his arm even further which push him a little bit to the counter making a few bottles fell of the ground, scattering its content.
"Oh my god!" you both screamed in sync, the staff immediately came seeing the commotion. Both of your eyes widen, in sync you both immediately apologize bowing down.
Standing outside the store as Heeseung was paying for the trouble you both had caused, it has been sunny awhile ago but now rain were pouring down along with the sun light shining on the street. It looks so beautiful as you marveled at the scene, you've always love sunshowers. You've always associated meaning with such occurrence, and you found delight in it as you pulled out your hand receiving the raindrops. Hearing the bell rings behind you, knowing it was Heeseung. You glanced at him and he was holding two small bags, raising your eyebrows.
"Why two?"
"Like I said, I bought one for you. Here." he gave you the small bag, "And definitely not the strongest one, pinky promise." he gave you a sweet smile.
"But I already said I had one."
"I see you love sunshowers, I find them pretty too." turning his attention at your wet hands, completely ignoring your previous question. You tilted your head, confused as to what he was trying to pull off.
"Woah, a popular guy likes sunshowers. Cool." You blurted out without much thought.
"How did you know i'm popular at school?"
You wanna slapped yourself, "Who wouldn't when sis shove it right to my face 24/7?"
Bursting into laughter again, Heeseung shakes his head. "I see, you got some pretty good humor, huh?" he looks at you, "I wonder where you got it."
"It's natural, bro."
"it just doesn't seem like you when I met you at your sis birthday party, it really worries me since Chae told me to be close with you, but I'm really glad." you paused, trying think of an answer but remain silent.
"Glad? For what?" You asked, looking at him.
"That we're close now."
You snorted, "Not so close, you're still on my watchlist."
"Watchlist? For what-"
"You and my sis, I'm watching you." You scoffed.
He chuckled, "I'll try my best to gain your trust then."
"Wishing you a good luck." Shrugging off your shoulders.
"Oh, is this a challenge then?" He raised his eyebrow in a playful manner, his lips curving up.
"Who knows, maybe." You answered back.
"Challenge accepted, it would be my pleasure to be this little girl's bestie later." his cheerful grin coming back again, in which you scoffed.
"Little girl? Did unnie told u that??"
"Maybe or maybe not~" he joked.
"Tsk."
"What's my prize then? Once I got your trust?" Heeseung asked, making you look at him. Giving you a feeling of nostalgia, memories flashing back to the time you were both texting together.
"Being besties, I guess? You said it just now." you scoffed.
"Of course, however I'll decide my prize for later." He said in a low voice, but you manage to hear it.
"Pfft, what you gonna do? Take all my plushies away?" You dramatically said, making the boy laughed once again.
"Plushies? You got plushies? At this age?" his mouth forming an 'o', looking at you up and down, "How adorable for a 17 year old." He mockingly teased you.
"Huh!? Mocking me huh??" you kicked him once again.
You went back home with a huge smile on your face, spending time with Heeseung was unexpectedly fun, however you're still not gonna trust him way that fast. Not yet.
Your house, playing with the sunlight shining on your hand as you felt peaceful. You've always loved this feeling, often spending your time like this when you just want to do nothing. Then you hear faint footsteps approaching, the figure revealing itself above you and it was none other than your sister, Chaewon.
"Dad's calling." she extended her hand to you, pulling you up.
"How's school by the way, sis?" You asked, grinning.
"Exhausting but I guess it was great!" her smile curving up.
"Lemme guess, Heeseung huh?" you tilted your head, teasing her as her cheeks grew redder upon saying his name. Gosh, she's really in love, you thought. Walking alongside with her, you caught up on her scent and it was exactly the same as the one you picked. So Heeseung had given it.
Walking to the main living room, your parents sitting on the table talking to each other.
"Wassup, folks." you jokingly said, earning a glare from your dad. Shrugging your shoulders as you took a seat beside them.
"So what's the matter, mom dad?" Chaewon speaks up.
"Me and your dad have been planning this for awhile-" your mom said, motioning your dad to continue.
"And since weekends are coming, we're atleast planning for a three-day camping trip."
"Omg! That's awesome!" you squealed, raising your arms in excitement. "I'm so tired with all the nonsense these past few months, might as well take a break!"
"You just got in a vacation last month-" your sister jokes, you rolled your eyes sticking a tongue to her.
"And it wouldn't just be us, your grandparents are going to come along too." your dad said.
"Huh!? Grandma??" you exclaimed, falling back to your seat. "Don't tell me she won't let us bring our phones to the trip as well-" you facepalmed yourself, fake crying. Making your mom and sister shaking their head in amusement.
"I don't think she won't, who knows." your sister chuckles.
You snapped your head at her, squinting your eyes, "Pfft, you won't have your phone to contact your beloved princey as well~" you jokingly said, and the realization dawns on your sister as your words settled in her. She then eyed your parents.
"About that, don't worry. Since Heeseung are going to join us as well-"
"Wait what!?" you and your sister exclaimed at the same time but with different expressions adorning your faces.
"But for what!?" you dramatically slaps the table, "He ain't part of our family!" you groaned, not a three-day camping trip out from troubles having Heeseung in it too.
"(name), he is part of our family," your mother playfully smiles, you pouted. "After all he's our future son-in-law." she cooes along with your sister who was awfully silent but with obvious blushing on her face.
"I can tell Heeseung right-"
"No worries, we already told Heeseung!" your mom's words make your jaw dropped even further, just how far they were planning this? "And he agrees!"
Sighing deeply, your peaceful moment seems to shattered to pieces. What is this, a horror film with Heeseung in it? You look up in the feeling, your eyes wandering through the space as you simply can't do anything.
"We're going to meet way more often than you think, (Name)."
Sighing dramatically, that guy ain't lying. You mentally cursed yourself as you're just going to stay as invisible person throughout the camping trip. Even though, you seem to be in good terms with Heeseung already. You were just so tired seeing those lovey dovey interactions between Heeseung and your sister. You don't have anything against it, but you just want it to lessen a bit and not showing it so much in front of you. The rest of the conversation were spent planning and packing.
Going back to your room, you plopped on your bed pouting dramatically. Hugging your pillows as you trashed around like a maniac, it's hard being happy for your sister, while having a little crush on your sister's boyfriend.
Your phone rings, taking your phone in which the caller ID reveals to be your bestfriend, Chaeryeong. This bish, why hasn't she call all this time, you thought. Quickly answering it, taking a whole deep breathe in.
"Yah! Idiot! Where have you been!?" you yelled through the phone wanting to rupture your bestfriend's eardrums for going missing for god knows how long.
"(Name)~~ having fun of course," your bestfriend cooed behind the phone, then you notice the change of her voice.
Frowning, "Are you drunk?" you asked in disbelief, it was still early in the morning.
"Uh-huh.."
"Are you serious? It's still fucking early in the morning-" you glared at the bright sky outside your window.
"Don't be mad at me (Name)~ atleast I-im having fun duh-"
"Yea fun, but it won't be so fun if some random perverts throw themselves upon you." you spat out earning a chuckle from her.
"Tsk, what a feisty. I'll murder them before they c-can." she joked. You shake your head, chuckling.
"Where are you, huh? I'll come pick you up." you stood up, taking your coat.
"N-no! I'm with someone!" her voice rise a bit, making you surprised a bit.
"Someone?"
"Gosh, (Name). I'm with a hot guy right here." she whispered.
"Trying to get laid, huh?" you smirked.
"I'm tryinggg~ oh- i'll call you back later!" ... " she immediately hanged up the phone amidst you protests, shaking your head to how annoying but cute your bestfriend was. Your smile, however, disappears are you remembers the camping trip with that particular person in it, once again. Throwing your hands up, letting yourself fall on your bed, groaning loudly
``
"Hey!!" you heard your sister squealing happily from the door, you who were in the living room had finished packing your bag, now playing with your phone while sitting on the couch.
"Pfft, lovebirds." you mumbled. You then heard your mom's voice alongside theirs, complimenting him about how good he looks today as always.
``
The way to the camping site was awfully quiet, as your sister were in another car, Heeseung's car. That guy always had a way to steal your sister away from you, you scoffed while scrolling through your social media. Your dad then informed you that your grandparents were on the way too, causing you to mentally note yourself to hide your phone when you're there. Staring at the passing trees, you wonder if your grandparents already knew about Heeseung?
Hopping out from the car with your small legs, carrying your backpack, in which Heeseung approached you.
"I can help you." he extended his hand trying to reach for your bag, causing you to swift around really fast.
"I appreciate your concern, but i'm not a weakass kid." you spat out, "Back off." Walking past him hitting his arm, continuing your way to the designated area of camping. But not before hearing the low chuckle behind you making you feel goosebumps hearing it, just what's up with him? As you continued to walk, you heard your sister talking with him. Their voices gradually grew weaker as you walk farther away from them.
Soon, your grandparents appeared, meeting Heeseung. And to your surprise, your grandma also finds him endearing, calling the boy an angel. Scoffing for what seem like the hundredth time today, does everyone in this family has been bewitched by him? You rolled your eyes, preparing your tent by your own self insisting that you don't need help.
"(Name), are you sure you don't need help?" your dad asked for the second time as he observed you, you mumbled no. You turned around to see him holding a fishing rod and a bucket with your mom.
"Fishing, huh?" you playfully asked.
"Yeah, gotta get a lot of fish for tonight's dinner." your dad proudly said as your mom chuckled beside him.
"We're going to be back a bit later, are you sure you can do that?" your mom asked the same question, eyes hovering on the material on your hands.
"Yea, yea. I got this." you gave a proud smirk, in which your parents chuckled. Going on their way to the fishing section, "Also! Better give me a lot of fish later, okay?" you raised your voice hoping for them to hear, your dad waving his hand in return. You were excited to for dinner later, you thought. Looking back at the material on your hand, you continued with it.
However, it took you an eternity to even do it properly so well, you mentally cursed as if it was getting too much trouble to set it up, you took a deep breath, "Unnie!" you called for her, turning around to see that she wasn't around. And it wasn't just her, no one was in sight,
"Just where the hell is she?"
"Need some help?" you were startled by the sudden voice behind you, a boyish laugh escaped his mouth as he looks over at you and your little trouble.
"Nope." ignoring him, as you put your while attention on the problematic tent within your hands. "
"It doesn't look like it. Let me." he walked closer to you, protesting that you don't need his help but he still does it without any complaints.
"You gotta learn how to ask for help sometimes, don't you think?" he spoke while setting up the tents, you tilted your head crossing your arms.
"Independence, independence, dude." you emphasized the last word. Chuckle escaped from his mouth as he shook his head in a playful manner. "You should help Unnie instead."
"Speaking of unnie, where the hell is she?"
"Chaewon is with grandma and grandpa, taking the bags they bought with them."
"You should help them instead then, just what are you doing here?" Raising you eyebrows.
"What do you think, then?" He stood up, leaning his head closer to you as you took a step backwards. You got silent for a moment due to how close and intimidating his aura gotten so fast. Suddenly, smile adorns his face as he walks past you. "Gotta pick some extra basket to help them." Holding up showing it to you.
"Oh, that's good then. Get lost." You mumbled, clearing your throat. Just what was that?
``
The rest of the night were then spent eating marshmallows, frying the fishes your parents caught, and some vegetables that your grandparents brought with them.
And of course, it didn't go past the conversations without complimenting Heeseung, and praising him for taking care of your sister very well. You were silent for the entire ordeal, just wanting to eat your food. You couldn't really be playful after all, since he was here.
Soon, the dinner ends and everyone's going back to their tents. You dust off your knees after watching the sky for a plenty of time, walking over to your tent but not before noticing that your sister were going into Heeseung's tent.
"Pfft, lovebirds. Ew." You scoffed, which was not directed to your sister but to Heeseung. Feeling a bit of jealousy, you were unsure what kind of jealousy it was. Was it because your sister were spending too much time with Heeseung? Or was it because of him? But you were really happy for her, that she found someone that painted her days with rainbows and flowers. Shaking your head, you groaned about the fact that camping trip should be the chance you two could bond more was spent with that guy Heeseung.
Sighing, you somehow wished that you didn't install that dating app in the first place. Rolling your eyes, you went back into the tent, settling on your cozy and warm blankets. Wondering how tomorrow could go.
``
Sunlights shined outside your tent, yawning as you raised your arms, stretching it. Getting out of the tent, you realized you were the first one to woke up as everyone's tent was still zipped close. You contemplated for awhile to whether go back to sleep, but you decided to take a walk to the woods for awhile.
Walking through the woods, as your feets stepped on the leaves scattered on the ground making noises. You marveled at the giant trees, and the pretty flowers surrounding it, the tiny insects that flies around. You let out a small 'o' when you notice another blue butterfly flying towards you, landing on your hand. Your heart flutters, marveling at the beauty of the little creature on your hand.
'crack'
You immediately spun around turning to the sudden noise behind you, only to see your sister Chaewon.
"(name)?"
"Oh, unnie!"
"What you doing here? It's dangerous, do you know that?" She approaches you with a concerned expression, it was a small gesture but it made your heart swell in happiness.
"I'm no longer sleepy, so I just wanna take a walk." You smiled at her, then you realize the butterfly is no longer on your hand. You pouted.
"Still, you should be careful. Come here." She motions you to come closer, extending her hand for you to grab it.
"Did you sleep well, unnie?" You asked her.
"Kinda, I guess.."
"Why kinda?"
"Hm, it's nothing."
"Why? Are you sick?" You raised your hand, stroking it upon her forehead.
"I'm okay! (Name)!" Your sister let out a small laugh, as you protests still stroking her forehead. Feeling her temperature was just okay, you hummed. Eyes darting down to her cheeks then to her neck, you noticed purple hues on it.
"Huh, what's that?" You took a closer look, frowning in which your sister quickly covers it with her hand.
"H-hey! No staring!" She exclaimed, cheeks burning red.
"But what's that? It looks like a bite mark-"
"Shut up, (name). It's nothing." your sister avoiding the question, obviously looking flustered. "Ah! How about we sit there for awhile? My knees are getting sore!" Your sister pointing towards a log beside a tree.
"You're avoiding the question!" You laughed, then it hits you. "Wait, is that a h-hickey!?" You exclaimed a bit too loudly in which your sister quickly covers your mouth.
"Sshhh!!" her eyes widening only proves your suspicion, raising her finger on her mouth telling you to stay quiet. You nodded, but then flashbacks of your sister going inside Heeseung's tent.
"Wait!? Unnie's making out in that tent!?" For the second time, she covers your mouth really tight.
"Oh my god, (name)!" She whisper yelled, turning around if any of your family members were around.
"Why you gotta be so scared- everyone knows unnie and that guy is a thing." You mumbled under her hand. Releasing her hand off your mouth, she pouted at you.
"Still!" She exclaimed, walking off sitting on the log. You followed her, chuckling in amusement as to how adorable she was acting like that.
"Unnie, you're so adorable, don't you know that?" You cooed, pinching her cheeks with your fingers in which she squint her eyes.
"Stop that!" She chuckled, pinching your cheeks as well but a bit stronger making you wince in pain.
"Unnie!!"
Laughter echoed throughout the air, as you teased her right back on again. Conversations rise after one another, making it seem like the moment was forever and you were
"Unnie, why don't we go somewhere later after the camping trip?"
"Hm, like where?"
"No idea, hmm.." you thought for awhile. "Ah! There's a carnival a month later! Let's go there together, just the two of us." Emphasizing your last word, excited and hoping for your sister to agree.
"The carnival? Hmm..." Your sister humming.
"Cmon!" You shook both her arms, pouting. Your sister then grin, "ofc I'll go with my babygirl~" she patted your head.
You beamed up, "Really!? Just the two of us, right? You better not bring him." You frowned.
"Of course, just the two of us."
"Deal? Pinky promise?" You raised your pinky finger in front of her, in which she wrapped hers into yours as well.
"Pinky promise!" You both giggle in sync.
"Ah, I forgot."
"Hm?"
"Here," she pulled out a tiny box, "can't believe I forgot it, ugh." pulling the cover up, revealing a butterfly necklace, you hummed in confusion.
"Should have given this to you back then.." dangling the necklace, your jaw dropped.
"This is for me!?" Your sister hummed in return, "omg, unnie. This is the first time you bought a gift for me." You grin, instantly tying your hair in a knot in which she placed the necklace on you.
"It looks beautiful on you, (name)."
"It's really prettyy, thank you unnie." You exclaimed happily.
"Look, I'm wearing your gift too." Your sister revealing the music note necklace you gave to her back then.
"Matching necklaces!" You exclaimed happily in which Chaewon nodded in return, giggling as well.
"We definitely got some telepathic powers! Like we bought necklaces for each other, isn't that amazing!?" you giggled nonstop, still amazed. Your talkativeness easing itself after awhile now, making you feel so cozy and warm.
"We're the super sisters~!" your silly jokes made your sister burst into laughter.
"Just where are you getting that, silly." She slapped your arm.
"O-oh! Told you I'm natural." You smirk.
"Especially that tiny little marks on unnie's neck~" her cheeks redden once more, "(Name)!"
Giggles echoed throughout the air, warm breezes flow through the leaves, the trees swinging its branches along with the warm sunlight as the both of you were unaware of the pair of eyes watching over you two.
Walking back to the tent, holding hands with your sister, you were contented walking in little hops. A small conversation between you and your sister were cut off after the male appears in front of you again. You sister letting out an 'o' sound, eyes beaming up seeing the boy in front of her.
"Heeseungie~" your sister called for him. The boy's lips curving up in a sweet manner, walking closer to you both. His eyes focusing on your sister's as you scanned his fit of the day.
"hey, pretty kitten." the nickname taken you aback. Your sister let go of your hands and went to him, engulfing him in a hug and intertwining their hands together. You were left a bit surprised, your feets staying on the ground as if it were frozen.
Hee_01: you r such a feisty pretty kitten :) huh?
Wasn't that his nickname for you?
Walking back to the tent beside them, eventually you lower your pace making you a bit behind the two having a conversation about God knows who. You were awfully silent, at first it shakes a feeling in you but then you thought that this guy must just be recycling nicknames, right? You sighed in relief, now scoffing, what a joke, you thought.
``
The trip ends sooner than expected, well you were glad it did. Not wanting to see the annoying guy's face even more you wanted to puke so hard and possibly punch him because of the nickname thingy. You sighed profusely, realising just what your thoughts had been all this time
"Just what's wrong with me?" You scoffed.
Back in the house, in your room, now folding your clothes back into the closet. You glanced at the window and saw that your sister were having lovebirds moment with Heeseung who was about to leave now.
"Pretty kitten, huh? Pfft." You scoffed, not really sure whether you're jealous or not but it still pretty irks you a bit. For a moment, did he just glance at you? You rubbed your eyes but he was invested in your sister, you shrugged it off going back to doing your stuff.
``
Fixing your uniform as it's school day once again, tying up your hair. The gift your sister gave you sprawled on the table, you giggle as you were so happy with it. Taking it, you happily put it on, grinning. You hop downstairs, taking your lunchbox with you. A car horns outside your house, and you knew who it was when your sister got excited.
"(Name)? Wanna join? I can fetch you to the school."
"It's fine, unnie. I just want to take a walk, and it's good for the health isn't?"
"But-"
"I'm okay! Go, unnie! Your boyfie is waiting~" you teased her, she then went off but not before telling you look after yourself while on the way to your school.
You wave goodbye to her, observing her getting on the car revealing the boy beside her, with a big grin on his face. He must be really in love with your sister, huh? Turning to the direction of your school which wasn't so far away, you informed your parents that you wanted to take a walk to your school in which they hummed in return.
As you were getting close to the schoolgate, a high pitched voice called for you engulfing you in a side hug, you rolled your eyes immediately knowing who it was.
"(name)~~ how's the camping trip?"
"I don't know."
"Why tho?"
"Eh, because of a stranger mixing in our family." You mumbled, but decided to continue "but atleast it was good, because of this!"
You showed your necklace to her, in which she exclaimed "Woah! It's so pretty!"
"I know right~"
"Who got you that?" She tilted her head, raising her eyebrows, "must be from a boy, huh?"
"Oh god! It's from my sister, dumbass."
"Oh! Chaewon-ssi? Aaaah!"
"Not everything's from a boy, you idiot." You tapped her forehead with your finger.
"Not my fault~" she pouted. "When the guy I met the other day is such a pure hottie."
"Hm? Oh, that guy. Wassup with him?" You smirked.
"Well, he's hot.."
"And??"
"Really hot."
"Tsk! Is that the only thing you can say? Hot? HOT?
"Not my fault that he's so damn hot, duh!" Chaeryeong defending herself.
"Girl.." you face palmed yourself. "So any news then?"
"Sweet~!" She exclaimed, "Imma meet up with him again this week, and I'm sooo up for it~"
"Pfft, everyone's getting laid, huh." You snorted.
~~
"I'm home!" You exclaimed, taking your shoes off, relieved that you were finally home, walking like a paralyzed zombie. You cursed the school for giving extra exams for the month, and now you got to study even more because of that. Not thinking of anything more but your cozy bed and plushies, you smiled contentedly. Your mom suddenly appears, with a worried expression.
"(Name)? Have you seen my watch?"
"Huh? Watch?" You raised your eyebrows, "Nope, why tho?"
"I can't find it."
"Probably got lost somewhere in your room, mom." You sing song through the sentence, as you walk past your mom, plopping on the couch.
"I've search for it everywhere, you sure you didn't see it somewhere?"
"Gosh mom, if I did, I would." You snorted, your mom giving you that look. "You can't be serious? I swear to god I would get struck by a lightning if I did, gosh chill."
"Can't you just wear another one?"
"I can, but that's a gift from a friend long time ago. Can't bear to lose it."
"Hm. Check it again then, mom. Maybe you missed it somewhere."
"Gosh, (name), I already search through the entire house." Your mom sighing deeply.
"Eh?" your face contorted into confusion, "How about the camping site?"
"Good idea." Your mom stood up, getting her wallet and keys.
"You can't be serious mom," you raised your head seeing your mom was really adamant to search for the watch and go through the long way to the campsite. Ignoring it, you continued to rest on the couch watching the TV, not bothering to take a shower first.
~~
"Where's your mom?" Your dad asked you who were still laying on the couch, but now sleeping and sprawled like a starfish not caring a bit about how you look. You didn't realize it has been a few hours, raising your arms up stretching and yawning.
"Camping site, lost watch." too lazy to talk.
"Huh?"
"Tsk, mom lost her watch and now she's going to the camping site to look for it."
"And you didn't follow her?"
"Dad, just look at me." You pointed at yourself, looking like a zombie.
The next day, school were so hectic, assignments piled one after another, making you so invested in your grades that you spent all your time studying in almost everywhere, but mostly in the library. You finally went home, tired as ever, upon opening the door revealing your parents sitting on a couch with their stuffs sprawled on the floor.
"What's up, mom dad?" You lazily asked, exhaustion obviously on your face.
"Your dad's documents are gone, and it's important." Your mom answered. And your dad didn't bother to answer, with his hand on his face clearly devastated about it.
"Try to search for a bit more, I guess?" You really don't know what to say, since you yourself were tired.
"We will, how's school by the way?" your mom asked.
"It's so tiring, mom." you groaned, your head growing dizzy as moments passed. Your parents nodding, telling you to rest first.
"(name)!" a high pitched voice wokes you up from your nap. Cursing to whoever who disturb your precious sleep that you finally got after hours of studying, looking up you saw Minji, the noisy girl. Smashing her bag onto your table, you glared at her.
"Got any problem?" You tilted your head in a smug manner.
"Yes I do, Miss. Klepto." She spats out which amused you a bit. You just chuckled at the nickname, looking up to her again. "My phone is fucking missing." She slams the table repeatedly.
"So?"
"So?? Return my phone then!!"
"God, I wonder what you ate today~" you sing song, giggling, "Ah, ruining my precious sleep with your pathetic mouth, don't you got anything better to do, girl?"
"Huh!? P-pathetic?" too loud, you frowned. "Yah, everyone here knows you're a kleptomaniac shit-ass. So give me back my phone."
"Do I look like I care?" You pointed at yourself, chuckling. Standing up, facing her eye to eye level. "Why would I? You're nothing to me anyways." You walk past her, taking your bag with you.
"You're not going anywhere!" She pulled your arm, resulting in your bag dropping on the floor. You groaned, taking it but the girl was quicker. Rummaging through your bag, you were pissed but you let her.
"I fucking told you guys," murmurs can be heard from the entire class, as she founds her phone inside your bag, holding her phone up in the air. "I fucking knew it, you're done."
You raised your eyebrows, some people is setting you up. But you were amused, don't they have anything better to do?
"Oh. That's a pretty good plan." You grin.
``
"Miss.(Name), we've called your family. You should explain yourself." Your teacher said with disappointment, but really it didn't bother you.
"C'mon, it's so obvious. There's no need to talk so much. Just punish her or something!!" the girl beside you exclaimed angrily. Yawning, you really got no time for this nonsense.
"Hm." You just hummed. You knew yourself that you didn't steal anything, defending yourself would be useless at this point, much less wasting your energy.
"Oh, Miss Chaewon." You turn around, eyes lighting up at the sight of your older sister whose face was adorned with concern. Your happiness were replaced with sudden fear, as you really don't want her to think of you like that again.
"Unnie." you said lowly.
"Ah-hah, so you're her sister?" Minji standing up, walking over to your sister.
"Yes I am."
"You look so innocent and pretty.. but--" she turns around to glance at you, "you should teach your insane sister a bit, her stealing ass never seems to go away as it seems." The girl spats out.
"I'm sorry?"
"I said, your fucking sister is a kleptomaniac shit who's good for nothing so you-" a loud slap echoes through the room, resulting in a scream from the girl.
"Watch your mouth." She pointed at her, "as long as I live, you better shut your mouth around my sister or else-"
She leans in, "like you said, I look all innocent and pretty but I'm surely capable that I can fucking make your life miserable."
Walking over to you, she pulled you with her guiding you out of the school. Protests comes from the teacher and the girl herself, but she ignores them.
"Unnie- i''m"
"If you didn't do it, then don't say sorry." your sister stops walking, turning around to face you."
"Huh?"
"You heard me, if you know you didn't do it. Then don't ever say sorry, okay?"
"So you believe me?"
"Of course, I do."
"But, how?" you asked again, wanting to hear it from her once more.
"I just know, I can feel it."
You quickly hugged her, tears threatening to come out of your eyes enjoying her warmth. Not anyone, but your sister's opinion that you really cared for so these pulled strings within your heart.
"There, there." She patted your head. "Told you, I'm going to trust you right?"
"Yeah.." you sniffled.
"You know what, my things going missing too." Your sister said.
"That's weird." ... " Do you think there's ghosts in our house?" Your lips curving up in a playful manner.
"Ghost??"
"Yea, stealing our stuff or they're probably eating it!" You joked. "Dad's gonna kill them once he knew the ghosts ate his documents-"
Your sister laughing, "The ghosts are dead tho, idiot."
"Then they would be dead twice!!"
"Or maybe your plushies are the culprit in our house. That's why they're so fat and fluffy " She joked, making you laugh in return.
"Since when did you know how to joke, unnie?"
"I don't know, hmm.." she raised her finger to her chin, tapping it. "Maybe I got it from an adorable little girl right here."
"I'm not little already!"
"I know, I know!"
"Gosh, unnie."
Walking under the orange sky with the sun setting upon you two, cold breeze flowing through the air as you hold your sister's hands. Wishing for this moment to always last forever, you wholeheartedly pray for it.
``
Weekends finally set in, there was no proof that you didn't stole the girls phone nor you did. But they still decided to give you a punishment by cleaning the toilet, in which you just obliged but not before mentally cursing the girl. She appeared leaning behind the door, laughing and mocking you
You ignored her but not before saying, "Better close your rotten mouth before the fly goes in."
"You wish!"
"Yea, with this right here." You raise the toilet pump, splashing it towards the girl making her shriek, running off.
"You bitch!"
"Just like what an idiot would say." You purposely laughed like an evil witch to scare her even more, your laughter echoing through the restroom.
``
Writing on your notes, doing your homework, relentlessly studying since morning inside your room. You were determined to ace your exams just like you always did, scoffing as you're going to put that girl into her place. Night soon comes, raising your both of your hands up in the air, stretching your body getting some relief. A knock on your door caught your attention, revealing your sister.
Observing her fit, you notice she's going out for the night, "going for party?" You asked before she can speak.
"Yea, Heeseung got party tonight. Wanna join?"
"Wait what?"
"Wanna join to the party? Heeseung invited you as well." Your sister grinning, walking closer to you.
"I'm a minor and I don't party??" raising your eyebrows in confusion as to how she can ask that in the very first place.
"that's why he had made the party a bit friendly theme today." She chuckled.
"Bruh, friendly theme?" You suddenly burst into laughter at the word.
"But I got studies tho, unnie. It's such a mess."
"I know, that's why get some break just today!" She pulled your both hands, pulling you up.
"We're gonna play fun games there!"
"You mean those games?" you asked again.
"I already said it's a friendly theme, so it's fine. I got mom and dad's permission anyways." You scoffed, of course they're going to agree, it's their son in law after all.
"Alright, just lemme find a good fit."
``
The cab soon pulls up, you look outside and there the house filled with party lights and a plenty of people going in and out."
"This? A friendly theme?"
"We're always up there so it's fine. It's a bit bigger in the upstairs so yea" paying the cabs fee, you followed your sister through the crowds inside the house. Alcohol scents fills the room, as you cough to how strong it was. Blaring noises echoing through the walls as the people were busy in their own world. You mentally cursed for a moment that you should've stayed at home, not knowing why you even agreed in the first place.
Your sister then stops at a door, knocking it and a male voice answers behind. Opening the door, it reveals Heeseung and some other guys with familiar looking girls; your sister's popular friends.
"Kitten." Heeseung approaching your sister, wrapping his arm around your sister's wait. Cringing at the word and observing them having their PDA moment earning a few 'oh' and chuckles from their friends sitting on the couch. But your sister immediately let's go and pulls you together with her, introducing you to her group of friends.
"This is my sister, (name), I'm sure you've already know her by now right?"
"Yea! (Name)! Omg it's been a long time! Do you still recognize me tho?" A brown long haired girl walks over to you, her high pitched voice along with her extroverted personality made you remember that she was the girl that shouted back in your sister's birthday party.
"Yeah, I guess?" You answered in a low voice.
"Oh so that's her?"
"Chaewon's sister?"
"She looks hot."
"How have you been?"
"Woah, chill." Your sister chuckled. "Tone it down a bit, guys." Your sister's hand stroking your back drawing small patterns as if she was comforting you that you're doing fine.
Multiple questions rise one after another making you feel dazed a bit. Conversations soon formed between you and the group, quickly becoming comfortable since they were friendly and chill even when you're a bit younger than them.
"That sucks. But college sucks even more."
"Yea."
"I miss high school tho, I feel like I'm an elder now, gosh." the brown haired girl's words made you laughed. Her humor was really something.
"Grandma Yunjin, then." The black haired girl beside her spoke, Eunchae if you remember it correctly. The two bickered, reminding you of you and your sister, making you chuckle.
"Guys, wanna play a game? I'm seriously getting bored now." The black haired guy beside Heeseung, wearing some branded fits that you and anyone could easily recognized, squinting your eyes, he's obviously giving off rich vibes.
"Hm yeah! Same!"
"How about Tag it?"
"Are you serious?"
"We're not kids."
"Well, we had one right here."
"But still-"
"Can you shut up for a moment, I'm trying to think of a game right here."
"Then the exit is right there-"
The group was really too noisy, you wondered how your sister could even survive here and never complain about their antics to you, but considering how happy she looks being here, maybe it wasn't so bad after all.
Then Heeseung suggested a friendly game because of you that finally made the whole group agreed, a simple hide and seek. The rules remain the same; 2 out of 11 will be the the seekers and they must wear blindfolds, and the rest will hide.
The winner decides the prize.
The roles were decided through rock, paper, scissors. The loser will hide, and the winner will be the seeker. Now standing behind the door with blindfolds on, as you heard the others counting down to 10. You somehow won with another guy called Jake, who was now standing beside you.
"Nervous?" Even though you can't see him, you can sense the grin on his face through his voice.
"Not as nervous as you." You jokingly said.
"Huh? I'm not-" the countdown finally ends, you carefully went out the door with your hands stroking the walls to help yourself.
The boy behind you scoffed, you were clearly messing around.
``
It was dark like an empty void but the blue lights were still bright enough to tell you where you were going, taking a moment to figure out where the others could be hiding, your hand strokes upon a door wide open.
'a trick.' you smirked. You carefully stepped inside the room, a faint light making your dark vision grew a bit brighter. the temperature was almost different when you were outside.
"Anyone here?" You spoke, excitement filled inside you as no one answered, but you knew someone was there.
The boy who's on the farthest corner of the room, trying his best to stay quiet. Jungwon was determined to win this game, but to his dismay, you raised your arm in a horizontal manner moving it right and left, till it stops right at his direction. He hissed, how the fuck. But you lowered your arm, in which he sighed in relief. You scratched your head leaving the room till your silhouette disappears.
"Woah, that was close." He walks hastily through the door, "WOAH WHAT THE FUCK!" you hold onto his shirt with a tight grip,
"Gotcha! Haha!" You exclaimed happily, pretending to leave was part of the plan as you already knew he was there. Sprinting towards him would be dangerous so this was the best way. Jungwon groaning, going back to the room in disappointment.
You were sure the rest had heard it, so you continued to look for the others as your hands stroke upon another door, however this one was closed, you thought. Stepping inside carefully, opening the door as silent as you can. The room's light was definitely turned off because of how dark it was.
But as soon as you went inside, a pair of strong arms immediately pulled you inside harshly making you wince in pain, the person pushed you to the door closing it. Hands covering your mouth tightly, preventing you to scream. Immediately knowing that this was a guy, you panic.
"Mmmhhh!!" You screamed trying to let go, then you felt his knee dangerously pushing it between your knees, making you squirm even harder. Tongue find its way licking your ear down to your neck, it felt disgusting. Hands creeping under your shirt, touching your skin, gripping it tighter. You panted really hard, along with his tongue, you felt his teeth sank in to your neck biting you. The pain were too much for you to bear, your screams were muffled with his hands as the person whispered into your ear.
"......."
(Name)?" you heard voices calling for you, trying to wake you up. Memories quickly find its way back to your head, you opened your eyes seeing your sister and Heeseung with concern expression.
"What you doing here?- You slept?" Your sister looks amused.
"W-what happen?" Your throat felt sore for some reason.
They told you they that they had found you in one of the rooms' door wide open, sleeping on the bed. After hearing that, you immediately stood up walking to the mirror in the corner of the room, pulling your collar a bit down and scan your neck for the bite mark.
"What's wrong?" your sister asked with a concern now on her face.
But the bite mark was nowhere to be found, surprising you. "N-nothing." You answered with a smile on your face, not really wanting to worry your sister. If anything, you know you can solve this by your own. Looking back at your neck again, you frowned, was that just a hallucination?
They then proceed to say that the game has ended because Jake had caught them all, leading him to become the winner. He then made you all drank 3 shots of beer, while yours was replace with juice.
You still feel horrible over what 'happen', it felt so real. For a moment, you overthink if you had somehow taken drugs that's why you had hallucinate such thing in the first place. But you laughed it off. However the bite, you felt the pain but the missing mark that was suppose to be on your neck says otherwise. You observed your sister talking happily with the rest of them, tilting your head, what if such thing happen to her? Just thinking about it wanna make you puke, you would never let that. You'll protect her with all you got, even if it means sacrificing yourself for her.
You notice the door slightly opening, revealing a somewhat older girl. Heeseung turn around, face beaming up after seeing the girl. You wondered who was it, a fling?
"Sis," Huh?
"Unnie, you're here." your sister stood up engulfing the older girl in a hug. So Heeseung had an older sister, he never told you about that before. As you observed Heeseung's sister whose name was Heemin after one of them called for her name, you took notes that she had a somewhat similar features as him, well they're siblings after all. She had that intimidating aura that could shoo bad guys really easily, you thought. The two then had a small convo, leaning in to Heeseung's ear whispering something, you notice how the girl's face looks pissed compared to how she went in just now. You grew curious, but shrug it off as it wasn't your business at all.
Then Heeseung claps his hand twice, taking everyone's attention to him, "Had everyone perhaps seen my sister's necklace somewhere? It's quite important, to be honest."
Everyone shook their heads, mumbling that they had no idea or saying to just find it somewhere else, or it could've just drop in some corners.
"Hee, can you ask the others?" Heeseung then nodded, taking his leave. The group then continued their convo but now with the topic about the necklace, wondering where it could be.
"What if we try to find it too?" one of the boys suggested, in which everyone agreed. Your sister walks over to you extending her hand to you, pulling you up with a smile on her face. You all proceed to look for her necklaces in every way possible.
But to no avail, it was nowhere to be found. You observed as the Heeseung's sister's face grew annoyed and pale as time passed, sighing every time someone said they didn't found it. The necklace must be that important to her, huh? It's been a whole 30mins, however none of you can find it.
"Hee, what we gonna do? It's really important, you know that right?" her face contorted into sadness, as Heeseung nodded "I know, I know."
"You know what, just saying.." Jay speaks up, getting everyone's attention onto him. "I think someone stole it, and that someone is in this house but who knows." shrugging off his shoulders. Everyone agreed instantly in sync, you had thought the same too but just didn't bother much to say anything
"Hm, what if we check the people downstairs?"
"That's illegal."
"Well, stealing is illegal, after all her necklace is their family's heirloom."
"Heirloom?!"
"Yeah, it's been passed down for generations so we can't just let it go." Heeseung said.
"Wow."
"I guess that leaves us no choice then."
And so, every person downstairs were told to give their bags, or check their pockets and some stuffs which undoubtedly earn some complaints from them. It goes on for quite a long time to get through each one of them, until then the last one had been completely inspected and no one actually stole anything.
"Well, now what?"
"I guess your necklace has drop somewhere else, huh?"
"No, it's impossible.." Heemin shakes her head, "I was just wearing it this morning! Took a shower before the party and when I came back, it was gone. Someone..-" her eyes landed on all of you, earning confusion.
"Why you looking at.. us?"
"Don't tell me you're thinking-"
"Just do it, please." Heemin pleaded.
"Huh??" almost in sync, almost all of their faces were replace with surprised.
"If it's not you, you don't have to be afraid. Just do it so we can get over it fast."
"But that means you're suspecting us!" Jake as you know it, exclaimed. He looks a bit offended.
"It's not that hard-"
"Well but that means you're accusing us stealing something!" Jake exclaimed angrily, now eyeing the older boy "Heeseung??"
"No but I think she's right," said Heeseung who also don't know what to say.
"Wtf bro."
"Let's just do it, for Heeseung's sister." Chaewon said, finally speaking up after awhile. Silence ensues for a moment, and one of them, Jungwon walks over to Heeseung.
"She's right. Let's just get over it as fast as we can, alright?" He asked, raising both his hands. "After all, the necklace is important for them. You wouldn't want such thing to happen to you guys, right?"
"Let's just do it, guys? Okay?" Everyone seem to calm down after his words. Observing the boy's figure, Jungwon, wasn't it? The guy you caught in the hide and seek game just now, has a complete turn of character than a moment ago. Even though, he seems younger, he got that vibes. Adding the fact, that everyone somehow listens to him, you immediately take notes that he must be the leader.
Heeseung nodded, smiling. "thanks bro."
``
One by one, Chaewon and Heeseung checks their respective members of their group, while Heeseung's sister sat on the couch, you on the other side. It goes on for awhile, taking their jackets off and revealing the content of their bags.
"I fucking told you, who the hell here would steal?" The tall blondie called Niki, hissed in annoyance.
"No, we're not done yet." Heeseung's sister said.
"What again?" One of them groaned.
"You." She pointed at you. It was silent for quite a moment before your sister spoke.
"Unnie, she's my sister." Your sister quickly walks over to your side, intertwining her hands with yours. "(Name) won't do such a thing."
"But she has it, right?" She raised her eyebrows. The atmosphere grew thicker with tension as the moment passed, everyone grew silent.
"Eh?" Your sister asked.
"She is kleptomaniac, isn't she?"
"Sis, stop." Heeseung grabbed her sister's arm, but she pushed him a bit.
"Who told you that, unnie?" You sense your sister shaking a bit, then she turned her head looking over at her friends.
"It doesn't matter who told me, just do it." She sighed.
"But my sister won't do such a thing again, sis. Besides-"
"Then prove it." Heemin cuts off your sister's words.
"Huh?"
"Sis, stop. (Name) is not that kind of person." Heeseung defended you.
"What is there to be scared about? Fuck, we already checked everyone. What's such a big deal about her?"
"Sis! Are you fucking serious? She's Chaewon's sister." Heeseung whispered yelled at her.
"Oh god, Heeseung." She turned around, facing both you and your sister now.
"Oh c'mon now, don't make me look like the bad person right here? All I'm asking is just take her over here and let's see if she had it or not. Easy as fuck, guys." Heemin growing impatient, ruffling her hair. "That necklace is fucking important to me so prove it, c'mon just do it. There's no need to be scared if she didn't do it right?"
"But-"
"Unnie, I'll do it."
"(Name), you don't have to. I told you, right?"
"It's no big deal duh, at least I could prove my innocence right?" You reassured your sister, stroking her hands. You left her side, walking closer to Heeseung's sister.
"Easy, right? Just what's so hard about it." She said in a low voice, then she proceed to take off your sling bag. Opening it, and checking its contents. You sighed, problems after problems. You observed as she found nothing inside it, rolling your eyes. Pathetic, you thought. Then she pulled you closer, checking your clothes.
It felt suffocating with her hands all over you and their eyes glued on you as if you were their prey. A situation that was completely different than when you went in for the first time.
You sense her hands stopped after slipping it inside your jean's pockets, her eyes widening in fractions as she looks up to you with amused expression. And with one swift pull, a vintage necklace dangled between her fingers as she raised it up in the air. You noticed how everyone's faces were replaced with shock, and you felt your energy being sucked out of you. The situation completely settling in your mind, as you realize what kind of situation you were in right now.
She scoffed, "now what do we got here?" Her eyes filled with disgust, now looking behind you. You felt your knees going weak, wanting to turn around and see her expression, your sister.
"Won't do such a thing again? Bullshit." She spat out, "still the same kleptomaniac shit."
You turned to face your sister, tears threatening to fall from your eyes, shaking your head "Its not me, I d-didnt do it." Stuttering, her view on you was the only thing that ever mattered to you. You care nothing about the people in this room, fuck they could insult you however they want. But your sister? You couldn't bear it, not again, for the second time.
"Huh?" Heeseung's sister forcefully grab your shoulders, turning you to face her again. "You didn't do it? Are we fucking blind? You didn't steal it? Then what the fuck is this?" She dangled her necklace in front of you.
"It must be a mistake, sis." Heeseung pulled his sister's hand from your shoulder, you look up to him seeing his face now concerned.
"What the fuck are you saying?"
"There's might be something we can't explain here!" Heeseung exclaimed, pulling you behind him as if to protect you. The small gesture of his, pulled strings in your heart.
"Oh my god, fucking Heeseung. Are you fucking blind or what?" She walks closer to you, trying to pull you to her side but Heeseung stopped her, "Why are you defending a kleptomaniac!?" She yelled.
"I told you it's not me!" You yelled back at her.
"What a shameless bitch!? You fucking stole what's important from me and you have the fucking guts to yell at me!?"
"I've never met you, how can I ever steal your fucking necklace in the first place!? Get some brain cells, freak!" The situation grew more worse and worse.
"Fuck, a kleptomaniac shit ass like you are the one who got no brain here. You're done, I'm going to fucking report you to the police." She pulled out her phone.
"Sis! Stop! We have to hear her explanation first!" Heeseung trying to take the phone away from her sister.
"Explanation!? Are you hearing yourself, Lee Heeseung? Fucking shut up." Heeseung defending you, her sister growing mad, the entire group remaining silent since they aren't in the place to even say anything made you feel dizzy. You wanted to move but you feel like you were frozen, stuck on the ground. Your sister, you can't bear to see her face.
"just shut up." You heard your sister said in a low voice, you quickly turned around to face her. You were unable to read her expression, was she disappointed? Angry? Disgusted?
"What?" You heard Heeseung's sister said behind you.
"Sis.." you said lowly.
"I'm sorry, Heeseung. I'm sorry, sis." What? Why is she saying sorry? For what?
"You don't have to, Chae-"
"No, I'm sorry. It's my fault, I didn't look after her well so this things happened." You sister cuts off Heeseung.
"Why are you saying sorry?" Your voice broke, "I already said I didn't do it-"
"Fucking shut up, and apologize." Your sister spat out, the sudden change of her behaviour shook you.
"What?"
"Apologize. You stole what was her's, now apologize (Name)." Your sister looks at you with disgust written on her face, and it broke your heart deep inside you.
"I won't." You said in a low voice, in which your sister quickly pulled your arm walking over to Heeseung and his sister.
"Apologize."
"Chaewon, we don't know yet if she really did-"
"Heeseung, please." She raised her hand in front of him, "I'll teach my own sister so please just let me."
"But-"
"Fucking apologize to her now!" She yelled at you, making you flinched. You're about to cry anytime now, you felt weak and horrible once again. You felt a heavy weight on you growing heavier with their eyes filled with disappointment, anger, disgust and disbelief mocks you within the depths of their mind. If your sister wasn't here, it won't be much of a trouble to save yourself but..
"I'm s-sorry." you stuttered, your throat felt dry and sore as you look down. Unable to lift your heads up to look at them in the eyes, you felt shame for something.. you didn't do.
"A simple sorry isn't enough." Heeseung's sister spat out.
"I know, that's why I'm really sorry. But please just let her go just this one time." you observed as your sister took her hands, stroking it. "I'll take care of this, so just please let me do it."
Your head hanging low since then, unable to say anything as you sat inside the car with your sister and Heeseung taking you both home. It was awfully silent, you wanted to defend yourself but felt as if there was no use to say anything. It felt like eternity, as the car finally pulls up outside your house. You immediately get out from the car, but not before your sister calls you.
``
"Stop right there." You immediately stop at her words, feet stuck on the ground as your fingers fiddled the shirts of your hem. You heard the two talking to each other first, exchanging "sorry" and "it's okay".
You look up to your house's windows and notice that your parents had already been sleeping as the lights from their room was off. You sighed in relief, a bit of contentment knowing that your parents won't have to be part of the conversation. The car behind you finally drives away, you turned to see Heeseung leaving. For a moment, you felt alone as you remember him defending you back in the party, that small gesture that made you felt that you weren't alone in all of that chaos.
You notice your sister walking closer to you in your peripheral view, your heart sinking as you weren't prepared for what's about to come. You couldn't.
"Unnie-?" you let out a small voice, scanning your sister's expression.
"So what's that?" Your sister asked disappointment lingering in her eyes.
"What?"
"You're doing it all over again, that's really disappointing." You didn't say anything back, it's not like you had no energy to say anything but it's honestly useless at this point for you.
"What? Can't say anything?" Your sister chuckles, "That really says alot about you.."
"You never really change after all, still the kleptomaniac shit like you've always been."
Crack. Something broke inside your heart, no, it didn't just broke, her words stabbed your heart. The cold breeze that flows past your hair, brings the coziness however it felt like you were suffocating. You wanted to say something, but you kept your mouth shut. Mouth trembling, and your head aching really bad.
"Just say anything you want, sis." you said, your throat felt sore as you let out the words.
Turning around to go inside your house, but your sister raised her voice behind you.
"I trusted you! But you were fooling me." You turned around to face her again, you didn't fool her. Maybe you did once before, however you regretted it and you wanted to say it again in front of her.
However as you were about to speak, your phone rings inside your bag, you immediately took your phone revealing the caller ID 'bestie<3'
"Hello?" You answered while observing as your sister turns her back against you, groaning.
"(Name).." you frowned, her voice seems a little weaker than it sounds.
"W-whats up, why are you calling around this time?" you sniffed, clearing your throat not wanting Chaeryeong to notice it.
"I-it's really .. painful-"
"Huh? Are you sick? You sound like a dead person." you asked, getting concerned waiting for her to reply. But silence ensues, you thought the call has ended so you took a quick glance on it but it's still on. Putting the phone back on your ear, "Chaeryeong? What's wrong?"
"I-t's hell here... (Name).." you heard her cried, but it sounds like she already had no energy left to talk. Her words were alarming to you as soon as it left from her mouth.
"W-whut? Are you okay there? Where are you!?" You tapped your feet, getting impatient and worried. "Are you home or what?"
"I-im at..-" you heard a door slamming shut on the other line, "P-please help me (Name)!!-" she screamed making your blood run cold, the call got cuts off immediately. You tried to call her again but it's pointless, your eyes darting back to your sister who has a confused expression now.
"Ch-chaeryeong is in danger, I have to go!" You exclaimed.
"What? What are you saying?"
You nervously tapped your phone screen, opening the emergency number but you weren't sure if you should call the police or not. Was it just a prank? If it was, you would seriously kill Chaeryeong. Exhaling deeply, you put your phone back in your bag with the plan to go to her house if she's somehow there, you're praying with all your heart that she's still safe and it was just a prank. As you turned to the other direction, sprinting. You felt a hand tugging you forcefully from behind preventing you from running.
"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" she spat out, her hand grabbing your arm tightly making you wince in pain.
"Unnie, Chaeryeong is in danger. I have to help her!" you exclaimed, your foot tapping impatiently as you were starting to get horribly worried for your bestfriend.
"Fuck.." she chuckled, you raise your eyebrow in confusion, "Now you're fucking making up another lie?"
"W-what? Unnie, what you're talking about?"
"I can't believe you're trying to save yourself by using Chaeryeong's name, are you that selfish?!" she yelled at you. In disbelief, you were wondering what's happening with your sister right now. You get it, that she's mad at the previous incident, and you thought she'll eventually believe you once she's in a better mood. But what is this?
"I'm not lying, I swear to god! Chaeryeong is in trouble! Look this is Chaeryeong, she just called me!" you hurriedly open your bag, trying to take your phone.
"Just stop.." you looked up to her, seeing tears falling from her eyes. And it breaks your heart.
"Unnie-" you raised your hand instinctively trying to wipe off her tears but she pushed your hand away.
"You know.." she said in a low voice, "It's really embarrassing."
"Embarrassing?..What do you mean?"
She put both her hands on her face, inhaling deeply, "It's fucking embarrassing, (Name)! Why? Why?! Why the hell you have to do that!?" yelling at you even louder than before making you flinch in surprise.
"I already said, I didn't stole her necklace!.. Why won't you trust me?" trying with all your might to stay calm, this is nothing, you reassured yourself. Your sister is just mad, her emotions are just getting the best of herself, you repeated in your mind countlessly.
"Trust you? Trust? It's so fucking obvious you had it in your fucking pocket, (Name)!"
"But someone could've frame me, unnie! Why can't you think about that?"
"Shut the fuck up! God, you're still the same! You would just blame everyone and anyone you can think of like it doesn't matter to you at all!"
"You said you would trust me.." you stuttered, mouth trembling. Your eyes looking up in the sky, still don't wanna cry.
"I fucking did.. but you prove me wrong. And you still wouldn't say sorry when you get caught."
"I won't say sorry!" you raised your voice, begging inside your heart that your sister would just trust you already. "You told me I shouldn't say sorry if I didn't do it!"
"It's so fucking clear that it's was only you who can do such thing! And I who was the fucking idiot chose to believe you even though I knew you had that fucking condition!"
Looking down to the ground, you kept silent, you've given up. You don't want to say anything anymore, you felt that if you talk more, things would get worse between you and your sister and that's the very least thing you would ever want to happen.
""It's so embarrassing. You're really embarrassing me, (Name).." your breath hitched the moment those words left from her mouth. "What would they think of me? Heeseung, his sister? All of them.." her voice grew lower.
At that point, you didn't realize the tears you've been trying to stop had fallen down your cheeks, mouth trembling and your breathing grew unstable, "W-why?.. Why are they so important to you?" you cried, you felt deep pain inside your heart as you tried to speak, you point your fingers to yourself, "What's so embarrassing about me?"
"I said you're embarrassing! You're embarrassing me in front of everyone , including Heeseung! Even our family! You being a kleptomaniac is so embarrassing, you can't even control yourself!"
"Do you actually think it's something I can control!?" you screamed, "It's not that easy! How can you be so igno-" you stopped yourself, you don't want to say something that's gonna hurt her however you felt as if there was a wound in your heart bleeding profusely.
'But I did my best to stop stealing..' you sniffed, "Just stop, Unnie.. if you won't trust me then atleast don't say anything anymore."
"Why? Can't accept the truth?" you turned around, wiping off your tears.
"You're really a coward."
``
You walked away from your sister, crying loudly on the streets, sniffing and hiccups echoed through the air. You wanted to stop crying but your heart ache really bad, wiping off your tears with the sleeve of your shirt. Trying to regain your composure when the thought of Chaeryeong passed through your mind, inhaling and exhaling calming yourself down. You observed your surrounding, only noticing that it had been so quiet for awhile now. It doesn't feel safe at all, but you have to check on Chaeryeong. Just then, you heard a ting from your phone. Your heart immediately felt at ease, immediately thinking it was Chaeryeong texting you, you hurriedly opened your phone. However the text made your face grew pale, as you realize just where you are right now; under the dark sky, all alone by yourself in a quiet neighbourhood. Gulping, you opened the text.
