横浜出張最終日、仕事が終わって晩飯の家系ラーメン食べた後に少し歩きました。せっかくの横浜、海も眺めておこうと港の方角へ。

大さん橋は冷たく強い海風が吹きわたっていて、立ってい��と体がよろめくほどでした。･･ こりゃたまらんと赤レンガ倉庫を経由して宿のある馬車道に戻ります。

While exploring Yokohama's waterfront for street photography, the mesmerizing ripples and reflections of skyscrapers on the Ooka River caught my eye.

A distinctive amphibious bus, the Yokohama Sky Duck, glides upstream on the Ooka River, offering breathtaking views of shimmering skyscrapers, grand hotels, and charming waterfront promenades.

Above the river, the Yokohama Air Cabin urban ropeway slowly transports passengers from Sakuragicho Station to Unga Park on Shinko Island, providing picturesque views day and night.

Both the Yokohama Air Cabin and Sky Duck are must-see attractions, offering unique experiences and unforgettable vistas.

Retired Ocean Liner and Lovers on Park Bench

Regardless of the time of day, the benches of Yamashita Park facing the waterfront are enjoyed by young mothers looking to take a break, elderly couples out for a short walk, young embracing couples, elderly men listening to the AM radio broadcast, young skateboarders at night waiting for pedestrians to disappear, and more.

The first time I boarded the NYK Hikawa Maru cruise ship was back in the mid-80s. I hope to go back to visit again and take photos when I’m able to leave my dog at home.

Before the war, this ship was the most luxurious means of travel to the U.S. with passengers that included members of the Japanese imperial family, Charlie Chaplin, and Babe Ruth to name a few.
