中国の獅子

横浜のみなとみらい線の元町中華街駅の中に置かれていた中国の獅子。中華街が近いからか、ここに展示されていたようです。

中国のお正月は1月中旬から2月初めなので、その頃になると横浜中華街では、盛大な春節イベントが行われます。

そして、このような獅子が登場するのです。

私は生まれが富山県で、子供の頃はよく獅子舞を見ていました。富山県は獅子舞が盛んな地域らしく。

しかーし、この獅子と富山で見ていた獅子では、かなりビジュアルが違います。

私が見ていたのは、木彫りで朱塗りの光沢ある日本の獅子です。

中国の獅子はカラフルで派手。着ぐるみのような印象です。

春節イベントでは、爆竹を鳴らしたりの演出もあるので、これくらい派手じゃないとカッコつかないかもしれません。

主に中華街では、獅子と龍をよく見かけます。どちらも、迫力あって色が派手です。

龍は、こんな感じですね。

店が閉まる時間になると、龍だけが輝いてて、結構怖いです💦

近くに住んでたので、ときどき歩いてました。

Shishimai (獅子舞) from Kaibou Zukan (2022) by Osaka-based electronic producer Takahiro Kinoshita aka 99Letters, based around the sampling and processing of traditional Gagaku Japanese instruments. The sounds of koto and shakuhachi are transformed through spatial effects and noise to create beguiling ambient drones and out-and-out dancefloor bangers. The title Kaibou Zukan translates as “picture book” and it serves as a kind of audio diary of the artist during lockdown, trapped at home and thinking about their place within their home country, landscape, and culture.

But ayyy my original tail + flag team @nninalvs @maria.starzz WE LOOK SO GOOD💖💖💖I swear, we look the best in the team🤗FYI: nina & maria have NEVER dropped me EVER. even when they're much smaller & lighter than tony, they still make more stable balancers than Tony ever will. I love you two. Also: Alan & me noticed the camera! Look at our million dollar smiles!!!💖🤗😁 Then went to Momocon dance with cosplay group @risaozu.cos @redpanda_lamai @zero_celes at night. 10月11日から始まる小豆島の秋祭り。 初日は福田地区にある葺田八幡神社の秋祭りでした。 この地区には、他ではみられない獅子舞の奉納があります。

獅子が生きているような激しい動きと速さで、その迫力に心が躍りました。

若い世代に代々引き継がれる伝統行事、大切にしていきたいですね。
