It's like that rush in your belly that you get at the peak of a roller coaster. Imagine getting that over the smallest of things. Yes, it's a great feeling when you're sitting on that roller coaster, and the adrenaline that follows. But every day? At the supermarket? At a random party? Suddenly that feeling isn't so fun anymore. Suddenly your body is just so sensitive to adrenaline that you feel on edge all of the time. Suddenly, you're just stuck on the peak of that rollercoaster and you can't come down. And then that stomach flip, or whatever that adrenaline filled stomach-turning feeling is, turns in to fear. It's suddenly not fun anymore, because it feels dangerous. I feel like I'm in danger.
