I have to leave you curious of course!  but yes Tommy and Rob are the brothers but they have two younger sisters!

Thea Laurel Queen is the third child and eldest daughter, and she's Ivy's daughter through and through!  She picks up both the Speedy and Arsenal mantles herself and is the only meta in the family, and much like Robbie she eventually creates her own mantle too.  She's the embodiment of "too smart for her own good" (much like her mother), clever and strategic with a talent for puzzle solving in ways that seem like jumps to anyone else but are actually carefully thought out.  She's also quite athletic, having always found success in every sport that she tries, but her favourites are soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, and archery!  and her face is Danielle Campbell

and last but certainly not least is the baby of the family, Harper Felicity Queen!  Harper is the only sibling to not have dabbled in vigilantism (her older siblings are insistent that she be at least 18 before she makes that choice) but I know myself that she never does!  She fully intends to take over the family businesses (primarily Queen Consolidated and Knight Media, Thea Laurel is determined to take over the vineyards) with her father's stubbornness and persistence and her mom's cleverness and hard-working nature.  She has an endless supply of hobbies and is still very much in the process of figuring out who she wants to be, but she is equal parts sweet and ambitious and determined to never limit her options in life!  and her face is Mackenzie Foy

(I also have Mackenzie as a non-FFL oc named Diana Queen who's also Oliver's daughter, but she was made after I thought of Mackenzie as an Olivy kid fc)

as for William... I haven’t figured out whether he exists or not in this verse (Oliver is less of a playboy as he’s forever hung up on Ivy) but I do want him to exist because Ivy would be a wonderful step mom and he would be a wonderful older brother so tbd for now!

It has been one year. No, it's been several years. That was what the faceless blonde in her dreams had said.

Dr. Rosenbräig had to repeat this to herself.

The memories of her marriage were real, her having a whirlwind romance and then marriage: that was real. Her being a widower of a faceless man and then a vilomah of a mere toddler; that was also real.

Her meeting Antonio when she had went on vacation - was it a beach? Where was this beach? - was also real.

She knew that he once worked in the business sector but was also a soldier before that - though, the Vigilante left this vague on purpose when implanting memories for the human. He has a sister or a brother or both - again, vague. But, real.

And now they moved to the country with a shed with wireless lights. That was real.

Alice was tired of pretending. Not necessarily of being a double agent, though that did eat away at her, but rather of acting as though she wasn’t completely and utterly upset due to their defeat in the last Quidditch match. It had been like, seconds ago, and people wanted to celebrate already? What about giving others time to grieve? And sure, Alice might have been on her second or eighth drink, but still. Those people weren’t decent; that’s all there was to it.

Sighing, Alice looked around at the crowd of excited people with a look of disgust before downing the rest of her ninth drink. After slamming it down on the table beside her, to the cheers of a few irrelevant people, she decided to walk away. She wasn’t sure where she was going, but she needed a break. These people were so happy; it was gross. Spotting Eliza, finally, the brunette made a bee line towards her and grabbed her friend’s hand. She could afford to do so, as she had been pretending to the Death Eaters that she was remaining friendly with her to get information. Truth was, Eliza was one of Alice’s few and best friends. But the Death Eaters didn’t need to know that. Not yet. Squeezing the other brunette’s hand, Alice leaned up to whisper in her ear, somewhat clumsily: “Get me out of here.”

Truly, if she was to stay any longer, Alice was scared she’d ruin everything. Maybe not her cover, but her reputation for sure, and that was what mattered most at that state of her drinking.

Welcome to the Painted Wolves Universe Masterlist! I will be posting them in the order they should be read as they are chronological. I had so much fun coming up with this universe and cannot wait for all of you to watch how the series plays out! These will all be posted sometime after The Spork so it will be a while before you get to meet our boys, however, The Culling will be out this year for sure! It was looking to be another slow night. So far, Tim’s stopped someone from taking an old lady’s purse (sad attempt, really- dude didn’t even have a weapon), he’s stopped some junkie from trying to sell drugs in an alleyway (turned out to actually be powdered sugar), and then after that it’s been…

Nothing. Why is it the only time he sees any real action is when Bruce is with him? That can’t be a coincidence.

He sighed, taking a moment to perch on a rooftop to stretch out his back. He heard it pop,  and then again as he stifled a yawn.

“Long night?”

Tim smiled. Hearing Babs voice always seemed to do that to him.

“Not long long. Just, well… long.” He put it plainly, trusting Brbara to read between the lines. It wasn’t that he was ungrateful , or anything. A slow night was always preferred over a chaotic one. Besides, who’s to say the small stuff didn’t matter? The old lady who nearly got robbed tonight would certainly disagree, and the look of gratitude she gave him while he returned her purse, well, that was appreciated all the same. That’s why they do this, anyways. To help the civilians.

It’s just… Well, he never saw Bruce have a slow night.

He heard Barbara let out a small hum in acknowledgement. “Don’t worry. You’re almost done.” 

She let out her own tired sigh. No doubt she was just as bored as him. After all, she wasn’t done until Tim was. They were in this together.  “And then you can go home, take a shower, watch a movie, maybe order a pizza…”

It was his turn to laugh now. “Are you talking about you or me?”

“Why not both?” 

He felt a small flash of heat rise up to his cheeks, and Tim suddenly remembered a pro to slow nights; this. Passing the time with Babs, talking about whatever they wanted to. It usually started with work but then it would somehow turn into other things- movies, food, opinions, life. 

And then sometimes, there would be a comment or a joke that Tim swore sounded like flirting.

“Both!” he blurted out, a little too eagerly. “Both, uh… both sounds good.”

A full-on laugh from her this time. A tune Tim couldn’t get enough of. “What type of pizza do you want? I can order while you finish up.”

“Uh, anything’s fine with me. Just-” And then he saw something. Nothing big. A movement off to the side that, normally, would’ve been nothing. But he was up on a roof, and whatever it was, it was too big to be a bird.

“Tim? What is it?”

“Uh…” He turned on his scanner, heart thumping as his immediate thought was that it was Batman (and that he heard the entire conversation) but then he saw that the blue outline wasn’t Batman’s at all but a civilian’s, wedged between two buildings. About twenty stories up.

Well, that’s not good.

“I’ll be right back,” and then, knowing how Barbara worried, he added “It’s probably nothing. Just a kid being stupid.”

“Be careful,” she said it anyway, and Tim understood why. They’ve done this for far too long, and they both know how quickly a night could turn.

“I will.” He assured her, intending to keep his promise. And then he took off, zipping over rooftops until he was right above the person. He turned off his scanner to find that it was a woman. Her silhouette illuminated by the blue neon of a nearby sign. She hadn’t noticed him, instead too focused on pointing her camera at the building across from her.

“You know, you can get into serious trouble if you fall!” he called out.

“You almost broke my camera, asshole!” she hissed at him.

“Rather it be a camera than your body,” Tim retorted back. He began to zipline down to her level.

The woman just snorted, ignoring him to go back to her camera.

Tim zoomed in on where she was looking, finding two people having a heated conversation in the building across from them. His scanner didn’t pick up any facial recognition. They’re not in the system, just regular civilians. “Uh, you wanna tell me why you’re spying on them? ‘Cause I gotta say, this does not look good for you…”

“Relax,” the woman simply said, unphased by his question. “I’m not a peeping tom or anything. This is for work.”

“Work… Right.” Tim didn’t believe it, and he should probably work on confiscating that camera. But before he could do so, the woman sighed, dropping her gaze to pull out a card from her pocket.

He took it from her and read it.

Alias Investigations.

“A private investigator?”

The woman nodded her head, then gestured across the street. “The woman over there? Her husband hired me to follow her. He thinks she’s having an affair.” She held up her camera again, back to investigating.

Tim pocketed the card into his belt, knowing Bruce would want to look at it. “How do I know you’re legit?”

He thought he saw her roll her eyes from behind the camera. “I have my license and everything. I assure you, I’m legit.” She said it monotone, like she was reading a script. 

And like she was reading his mind, the woman added, “If you don’t believe me, feel free to ask Officer Cash from GCPD. We’ve already had this conversation.”

“Cash knows about you?”

“Yup. ”

And then she started taking pictures, several little clicks punctuating the air.

Tim went to look, but the woman stopped him. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”

“Why?”

“Let’s just say,” a few more clicks, then the woman glanced at him, “my client was right about the affair.”

“I’ll, uh, take your word for it.” He crossed his arms casually, before taking in the woman’s position. Back against one wall, feet up against another. And stakeouts were not for the faint of heart. “How long have you been like this?”

“In regards to me, wedged between two buildings? Or in regards to me, personality-wise?”

“Why not both?” Tim couldn’t help the small smirk that snuck across his face, thinking of Barbara.

The woman scoffed before moving to put away her camera, seemingly satisfied with the amount of pictures she took. “I’m afraid both are pretty long stories, and we don’t have time for either.”

And then out of nowhere, the woman released her feet and she dropped.

“Shit!” Tim cried, releasing his zipline to follow, but as he fell through the air, he saw that she already landed. On her feet. Perfectly fine.

Tim opened his cape, slowing down his fall to a glide so he could land right next to her. He looked up at her in annoyance, but the woman just shrugged. “But that should give you an idea.”

A metahuman.

Robin stood up, one hand on his belt as he became suspicious once again. “And if I ask Cash about you, what name should I give him?”

“Jones,” she began to turn away, before adding, “Jessica.”

“Well, Jessica Jones. I’m Robi-”

“I know.” Jessica gestured her hand in the air as she continued to walk away. “You’re kinda famous around here.”

Robin began to follow her. “Well, if you know about me then you know who I work with-”

“I know.”

“So, you know to stay out of our way-”

“Will do.”

“‘Cause if you don’t- ”

Jessica suddenly whipped around, her face a few inches away from Tim’s. He took the opportunity to scan it real quick, knowing it’ll be helpful to have later on, when they look her up on the Batcomputer.

“Look, kid,” she said, completely unaware of what he just did, “I know you’re just trying to do your diligence as a part of Gotham’s Almighty Saviors or whatever-”

“Almighty?” Tim whispered.

“-but we’re cool. Really.” Jessica took a step back. “I’m just another civilian, trying to make a goddamn living in this goddamn city.” She waved him off. “So go back to fighting lizards, or evil clowns, or whatever the hell you do around here. You don’t have to worry about me. Got it?”

But before Tim could respond, she began to walk away.

“O… kay?” was all he could say, watching her retreating form as he just stood there, utterly confused over her choice of words. 

Evil clowns? Well, she wasn’t exactly wrong …

After a moment, he turned his comm back on. “Uh, hey…”

“Hey!” Barbara called back. “Everything okay?”

“Uh, yeah. I think so?” He pulled the business card out from his belt. Alias Investigations… “We have a new visitor. A metahuman.”

“A metahuman? Are they friendly?”

“Seems like it, but you know Batman won’t see it that way. I’ll send over the face scan I got of them, but in the meantime…” Tim felt his stomach growl (and maybe, flutter) from the idea of what was next. “Pizza?”

“On its way.” And it might just be his imagination, but he could just feel the smile radiating from the other line. “Get over here, Boy Wonder.”

Tim smiled. Didn’t need to tell him twice.

"Let's go downstairs." Robin motions to Jenny.

"Why? The movers can find their way up here."

He hesitates for a brief second. "They'll have a better chance and finding us if we are down there." He grabs her by the elbow before she could elbow him on the side again.

"Alright, alright. But can I call you Rob, pretty please?”

I laugh as they walk by and towards the door, Robin shaking his head.

“No.”

“How about Robbie?”

“Hell no!”

“We’ll be right back Marie. Lock the door, you don’t know how many crazies are out there.” Jenny calls out as they make their way out and down the hall.

Closing the door, I turn the lock and then the dead bolt. Resting against the door, I close my eyes and replay everything that has lead up to this. No matter how loud the world around me was all I got was silence where it mattered.

Jumping back at the knock on the door. I unlock the door, pulling it open.

“That was fast you guys.” I say.

But it’s not Jenny and Robin standing in front of me.

All the things I wanted to say to him if I ever say him again sit on the tip of my tongue, unwilling to come out. My only instinct was closing the door.

Alice hated this whole thing. Team spirit and good sportsmanship and what not had led her to the party in the Ravenclaw common room, but she was certainly not about to act as though she wanted to be there. Some may have called what she was doing “sulking”, but Alice didn’t believe so. In fact, she thought she must have looked quite beautiful in the corner of the room, drink in hand and glaring at everyone who dared come too close to her that wasn’t part of her team. Problem was, no one was coming to talk to her due to her glaring. Which, sure, was what she wanted, but Alice also loved attention. It was why she played Quidditch, after all, and she didn’t know what to do with herself when she wasn’t being admired by at least one person. She did lose, though. Her reputation would surely suffer from it, too, and so she sighed as she finally decided to get up from the windowsill she was leaning against. Looking around, she tried to find someone she actually felt like maybe talking to, and her gaze finally stopped upon Katya. Though she was a bit bitter and worried about the fact that Katya might think she would have been able to do better than Alice, the brunette thought that at least the other could understand, and so she made her way over to her. 

“This whole thing is a bit ridiculous, don’t you think? Ravenclaws throwing a party; it just feels wrong.”
