ERICA WEST: COULD YOU BE HAPPY HERE WITH ME? the question catches him off guard, for a lot of reasons. he is happy here with her - happier than he's been in a long time ; maybe ever. erica makes him feel safe, appreciated, possibly even loved. the feeling scared him, sometimes, but carmen planned to stick around in spite of that fear. brows crease a bit as he looks at erica, taking a drag from their shared cigarette before he passes off to her. 'what, uh... what d'you mean?' he finally asks, slow and unsure. 'do i not seem happy?' @roseguided.

" erica whispers from where she's sitting on the floor. she's a little drunk ( as much as she can get ) but she's mostly having a panic attack because she feels like a child again. the one that had no friends and was laughed at when she had a seizures. she hates how she still hears it when she walks the halls of the high school for work. she thought coming to this party would be nice but it hasn't been. it just reminded her how lost she is. she still doesn't want to go home though because it will just remind her how alone she still is and how nothing has changed. even with the fake confidence, wardrobe change and almost dying then moving across the country. she's a grown adult but she still doesn't know how to have friends or even be a friend. " i'll just get a ride later -- don't worry about it. i'm gonna get another drink and have fun. you should do the same. "

I don’t think anybody has ever explained the Upside Down to Steve so he came up with his own explanations for what happens and then spreads that misinformation around to the new members of The Party.

Like, turns out Eddie didn’t die and Steve’s just like, “Yeah, that happens. Will died and came back. Hopper…Dustin’s cat. Only seems to work with guys though. The girls never come back.”

Robin, who knows this too, “The Upside Down is sexist.”

“Yeah, exactly.”

erica & the consequences of almost dying in that vault:

it's surprisingly easy to fuck up killing a werewolf. that, or it's just easier than you think to save one from the brink of death. whatever it is, whether it's kali fucking up, or morrell really knowing what she's doing, erica falls in that vault and wakes up days later in morrell's bathtub.

apparently despite working for the alpha pack, morrell wasn't exactly okay with just letting kali slaughter a teenage girl. erica doesn't thank her for saving her life. she stares at her reflection in the mirror—haggard, pale, eyes glowing yellow—and wonders if this was the better alternative to dying.

being an omega is one thing, but being erica is another. she's faulty. a defect. kali had reached in and clawed all the derek out of erica, but in the process accidentally left behind too much of herself. even after kali is killed, the phantom imprint of her claws remain carved into erica's bones.

packless, but still with the ghost of an alpha hovering over her. maybe she should be grateful that this saves her from slowly descending into madness like every other lonely, packless omega. or maybe she should resent the fact that being damaged like this means no other alpha can claim her ever again. kali's left an alpha's imprint on erica's insides, and in her death, has marked erica for life.

tldr; erica's a Special omega bc of Circumstances (the weirdness of the alpha pack and being fucked up by one of them + being on the brink of death then being saved using probably some strange supernatural means) and is essentially cursed to loneliness (forever without a pack). i think she's also got a bit of a peculiar smell as a broken omega, like something that was familiar once but has since been tainted. warped. but she can be a little stronger as a treat, just to balance things out a lil bit. like she could probably overpower a beta if she put her mind to it. but it'd still be kinda close, and she'd still get her ass handed to her by an alpha.

Before she was bitten, Allison had never crossed paths with Erica. She'd seen the blonde in the library a few times, but they hadn't interacted. After? Allison can't stand her. Between the fact that Erica had tried to kill Lydia, as well as 'steal' Scott -- Allison isn't a fan. She doesn't feel bad for having tried to kill her, nor did she mourn Erica's death. Sure, she felt sad for the people the blonde's death effected, knows if it hadn't been at the hands of the Alpha pack, it probably would have been by one of the Argents.

obsessed with the idea of eddie and erika having beef, solely due to steve. like maybe eddie has a habit of including steve-esque npcs in hellfire campaigns. erica while young is smart and it doesn’t take long for her to recognize the pattern of the npcs and she is not impressed ™. she doesn’t quite know what eddie is doing and why (it’s some unholy combination of loathing and infatuation most likely) but that’s HER, she actually doesn’t really know how to categorize him but Steve is hers and is one of the only people she listens to while minimal complaints (she might even respect him and robin a tiny bit, unlike dustin, she has long since realized exactly what Steve and Robin did for them in that base, if her parents were that grateful to the two dumbasses for “saving them from a fire” she can’t imagine what they’d do if they knew exactly how much steve has done for the family over the years). Regardless, no raggedy, hyper-active metal head while be fucking with steve on her watch and so starts erica repeatedly calling eddie out on any and everything and eddie, digging his feet in and refusing to give up his mechanism for coping with gay yearning, willingly enters a beef with a child.

To all the fans/followers on tumblr, I just want to say thanks from the bottom of my heart. I know I haven't been around here much in the last few years... to be honest I've been social media-ing less and less pretty much everywhere. Maybe that was the cost of actually making W2H2? I'm not sure. But when I think back about interacting with everyone on tumblr in the years following W2H, it's really sweet and nostalgic for me. I was going thru some rough times, and knowing that there were people out there who saw my dumb little short and connected with it, and wanted to spend more time with the characters... that's really important for an artist. So I genuinely can't thank you guys enough. There would be no W2H2 without the W2H Fandom. I know it's been 10 years, but... thank you for everything. Enjoy!

(PS - you guys got the only heartfelt side-note. Twitter got a "eeehhhHHHHhhhhhHHHHhhhhh", and Youtube got a "please don't be mean to me, I worked really hard on this just to be broke for my entire adult life so far, you GHOULS". So you know I mean it!)
