What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? omg. umm. merthur fans don't know this yet bc i havent finished posting but it's arthur pendragon long may she reign (BUT it's part of a series, so it's literally fine). idk, i dont tend to write long fics that end angsty. but my angstiest fic in general is probably Hollow-Boned Boy (armand contemplating his human life in the early CoD era) or Vision of the Damned (daniel's turning from armand's pov)

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? i love a happy ending!! my series Odysseus in White Silk is probably the happiest ending, and in such an undeserved way hahaha it's so very AU because i was sad after s1 of the show and just wanted them all (and armandaniel) to live happily ever after

8. Do you get hate on fics? i dont think i ever have, but i tend to read comments in good faith too, so maybe someone out there is annoyed that i interpreted their vague dislike comment as a genuine comment or something, idk. in general though, i'll say no

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? yes but i dont post that often, idk if there's a particular kind, but generally it tends to be a little rougher than is probably appropriate without discussion in real-life situations, but also very...idk my friend described it as very tender, like theyre very clearly in love. which is so funny considering that that kind of tenderness irl gives me fucking hives lmfao

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? oh wow, not in a long time. i do have a wip sitting around rn that's a crossover between london spy and cloud atlas, which is really crazy until you remember that ben whishaw is in both london spy and the cloud atlas movie lol. and cloud atlas is already about weird reincarnations and parallel worlds and stuff, so it isnt too out-there.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? all-time? probably merlin/arthur from merlin (bbc). it's the whole fate-destiny-choice thing, it just compels me like nothing else

What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? hmmm, i would like to finish Roswell -- well, kinda (agent carter farm girl / alien crash landing au) because i still have all the original notes and outlines and stuff. i also made a shitty conlang when i was first writing it, which is crazy lol. but it would need some pretty serious revisions, and i would definitely rewrite the first few chapters that i posted years ago. i just kind of lost the agent carter bug, but i might return to that fic if i ever get in the mood for it again.

What are your writing strengths? ooh, i'm not really sure! i get a lot of comments mentioning characters' voices and/or personalities, so i would say maybe that!!! i also feel that i'm fairly good at mimicking an author's writing style when i want to (notably, i do not mimic anne rice when writing vc fic, lol)

What are your writing weaknesses? editing for sure. i have at least a hundred fics sitting on my hard drive fully or almost-fully written that i just need to edit. but i would simply rather die than do all of that. it's also why my whole merlin fic got put on pause while i went down the vc rabbithole, because i just can't bring myself to go edit the next chapters lol

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? hmm, i think it's usually unnecessary and comes off as a bit silly. that said, i did do it once (maybe excessively) in Daniel Molloy, Time Bandit (1984 daniel ends up in 1794 theatre des vampires, it's more of a character study than a time travel fic) BUT, let me defend myself -- i did it because daniel doesnt understand french, it's his pov, and he's incredibly confused and distraught for most of the fic. i felt like the dialogue being in french conveyed this sort of "daniel does not belong in this time/place" vibes. but, also, my french is...a little rough. so i'm sure it's an annoying fic for french readers lmao

Favourite fic you’ve written? ok, i have three different answers for this. the fic i think is the best, objectively, in terms of writing and content: The Story of Dani [...] (r63 devil's minion from armand's pov, starting with lestat's house). the fic i am the proudest of, mostly because it was my first "big" fic (it's funny now, bc it's only 41k) and i feel like i grew a lot as a writer while working on it, and i'm still happy with it: The Face of God (les mis pov javert, character study from childhood). the fic i have the most fun with and think about almost 24/7: Arthur Pendragon, Long May She Reign (r63 merthur, canon divergence, this is like a 4-part series that's currently over 300k lmao)

Take this with a grain of salt. I can't find myself to believe it right now until I see it. Supposedly Disney has made their final plans with what they are going to do with the POTC series. I don't know if you know who BeastBoyFunk is but if you are part of his Discord or know someone that is in it, you'll know he does all things Disney. He was the one that dropped the spoilers about Brandy coming back to play Cinderella before it was even announced.

It is being said that the original cast is coming back to POTC in a two part finale. They are going to finally end it.

Tekst pisany na podstawie spektaklu z 23 lutego 2025 

Jeszcze nie tak dawno musicale kojarzono głównie z lekkimi spektaklami, na których można miło spędzić czas. To spojrzenie zmienia się jednak dzięki wybitnym produkcjom realistycznie poruszającym problemy obecnego świata. Kolejna miała swoją premierę w zeszłą sobotę, w stołecznym Teatrze Syrena. 

Rodzina Barkerów: Robert (Maciej Maciejewski), Roza (Anna Terpiłowska) Archibald (Jacek Pluta), Rupert (Michał Konarski). To oni wprowadzili na rynek śmiertelnie niebezpieczny, wysoce uzależniający środek ukryty pod powłoką leku przeciwbólowego. To przez nich umarły setki tysięcy amerykanów. Tylko ambitna prokurator Evelyn Morgan (Agnieszka Rose) i jej młody podwładny, Oliver Harris (Michał Juraszek) mogą stawić im czoło. O całej sprawie opowie słynna osobowość telewizyjna, Megan Queen (Marta Walesiak-Łabędzka). Tylko czy w medialnym szumie znajdzie się miejsce dla Królowej opioidów (Ewelina Adamska-Porczyk) i jej ofiar? 

Robert Barker w wykonaniu Macieja Maciejewskiego to postać dynamiczna. Z jednej strony człowiek podporządkowany rodzinie, który raz po raz traci kontrolę nad rozwojem wypadków. Z drugiej stanowczy prezes, który nabiera pewności siebie w miarę osiągania sukcesu i nie zamierza się cofnąć choćby na krok. Maciejewski jest świetny ruchowo, szczególnie w scenach tańca, roztaczając wokół siebie władczą aurę. Perfekcyjnie gra ciałem: garbi się w scenach z wujami, by stanąć dumnie przed kongresem lekarzy.  

Anna Terpiłowska jako Rosa Barker to wyrachowana businesswoman, piekielnie inteligentna i świetnie poinformowana. Jest bezwzględna, o czym dobrze świadczy niebezpieczny błysk w oku czy pełen wyższości uśmiech. A mimo to w kryzysowej sytuacji unosi się gniewem i potrzebuje wsparcia kuzyna. 

Jacek Pluta jako sir Archibald Barker roztacza dokoła siebie aurę pogardy dla wszystkich, łącznie z własnym bratem i córką. Uwielbia być uwielbiany i potrafi za to wiele zapłacić. Z kolei Michał Konarski jako Rupert Barker to stereotypowo rubaszny wujek, który bezrefleksyjnie podąża za bratem, a denerwuje się tylko wtedy, gdy coś zagraża jego interesom. 

Piotr Siejka w roli Adama Barkera gra monument twórcy imperium, któremu wszyscy próbują dorównać. A jednocześnie pełni rolę głosu bez ogródek i zahamowań mówiącego prawdę, zarówno swojemu synowi, jak i widowni. 

Marta Walesiak-Łabędzka perfekcyjnie wciela się w nastawioną na sławę gospodynię programu telewizyjnego Megan Queen. Gdy zwraca się do widowni, jest wspaniale przerysowana, lecz kiedy obserwuje wydarzenia z drugiego planu, można dostrzec jej prawdziwe oblicze. 

Agnieszka Rose gra prokurator stanową Evelyn Morgan z energią kobiety, która wie czego chce i nie boi się po to sięgać. Dąży do celu po trupach, jest charyzmatyczna i surowa, zarówno dla wrogów jak i podwładnych, a uczuciami gardzi.  

Michał Juraszek wypada bardzo przekonywująco jako młody prokurator Oliver Harris, który jako jedyny skupia się na czynniku ludzkim. Na przestrzeni spektaklu obserwujemy jak pod wpływem sprawy Barkerów przemienia się z dobrze się zapowiadającego człowieka sukcesu, w empatycznego wojownika o sprawiedliwość.  

Albert Osik występujący w pięciu różnych rolach wykazuje się niesamowitym zakresem aktorskim. Choć każda z jego postaci pojawia się na scenie na krótko, wszystkie są porażająco realistyczne. Dramat uzależnionych pacjentów sprawnie podsumowuje historia Nancy (Angelika Kurowska) i Brendy (Beatrycze Łukaszewska). Kurowska przejmująco gra córkę, która straciła kontrolę nad swoim życiem, a Łukaszewska zrozpaczoną matkę, która nie potrafiła jej pomóc. 

Niekłamaną władczynią sceny pozostaje jednak zachwycająca Ewelina Adamska-Porczyk jako Królowa opioidów. Szczególnie poruszająco wypada wcielając się w ofiary epidemii. Pod jej intensywnym spojrzeniem, które zmusza do zmierzenia się z okrutną rzeczywistością widz czuje się niekomfortowo. Co więcej, artystka nie tylko perfekcyjnie kontroluje swoje ciało, ale sprawia, że każdy jej ruch staje się nośnikiem emocji wyrażanych przez taniec.  

Nic dziwnego, to właśnie Adamska-Porczyk przygotowała choreografię do “Na Prochach”. Piosenkom towarzyszą psychodeliczne wręcz układy, w których sposób poruszania się uzależnionych trafnie przywodzi na myśl apokalipsę zombie. Natomiast językiem Królowej jest taniec nowoczesny. Warto też wspomnieć o fenomenalnym pomyśle przedstawienia batalii sądowej jako pojedynku bokserskiego. 

Zarówno za scenografię, kostiumy jak i reżyserię świateł odpowiada Justyna Łagowska, dzięki czemu wszystkie trzy elementy perfekcyjnie ze sobą współdziałają. Zastosowano minimalistyczny wystrój, który dobrze oddaje atmosferę studia telewizyjnego, ale i pozwala przenieść akcję w dowolne miejsce. Stanowiąca centrum wydarzeń kanapa wydaje się miękka i puchata, ale niecodzienna narzuta przywodzi też na myśl kolce. 

Na scenie króluje róż i fiolet w odcieniach wszelakich, choć pojawi się też odrobina bieli i jaskrawej zieleni. Każdy z nich zdaje się nieść ze sobą ukryte znaczenie. Wystylizowana na Marilyn Monroe Megan Queen i Królowa opioidów w zwiewnym kostiumie, przypominający strój baśniowej wróżki wyróżniają się spo��ród ubranych w garnitury członków rodziny Barkerów i pracowników prokuratury. Wprost nie sposób zauważyć wszystkich smaczków i zależności ukrytych w zdawać by się mogło, prostych strojach. 

“Na prochach” to spektakl o uzależnieniu, jego przyczynach, przebiegu i konsekwencjach, które dotykają ofiar i ich bliskich. Ale to też spektakl o tym jak media wykorzystują tragedię dla zysku. O tym jak chciwość i pęd do kariery mogą zniszczyć świat. 

Taki temat zasługuje na godną reprezentację, taką, która trafi do każdego widza. Jacek Mikołajczyk stworzył spektakl, który perfekcyjnie spełnia to zadanie. W “Na prochach” są zarówno chwytające za serce monologi ofiar, poruszające piosenki, a także trafne porównania, dzięki którym statystyki przestają być abstrakcyjne. A to wszystko w psychodelicznej atmosferze budowanej przez światła i niepokojącą muzykę. 

“Na prochach” to produkcja wybitna, wiernie odtwarzająca prawdziwe wydarzenia, czym jeszcze bardziej skłania widza do refleksji. Teatr Syrena podszedł do tego ciężkiego tematu z ogromną wrażliwością i rzetelnością, tworząc spektakl, który na długo zostanie w mojej pamięci. Na pewno też wybiorę się na niego ponownie, by spróbować odkryć wszystkie ukryte w nim tajemnice. 

Ale to tylko moja opinia, a ja nie jestem obiektywna.

"How impossible do you think it would be to get you, Carter, myself, and our dates and get a picture together?" Syrena asked her older brother curiously before looking at him. "I mean, I think it would be such a cute picture, I need to have at my apartment. And I'm sure our parents would love a copy as well." Now it hit her that maybe they should've planned for this before the prom starter, but hopefully it wasn't too late.

┊ ➶ ｡˚ ° harrison james "harry" evans-potter [born jul. 31, 1987] is the boy-who-survived. he was born in godric’s hollow, somerset, england to james fleamont potter & lillian jessamine ‘lily’ evans through ivf. he has tanned skin, messy curly dark brown hair & emerald green eyes. his scar looks like actual lightning, starting at the top right of his forehead and reaching down to just below his right eye by his nose. due to the scar, he’s fully blind in his right eye. like i said, hermione introduced us to each other four days after they fought the troll. we became quick friends but he was still wary of me, and in turn theo, due to us being slytherins. when he learned that my dad was his godfather, he confronted me about it but was surprised when i revealed i had absolutely no clue. when he is sorted, he’ll be sorted into slytherin instead of gryffindor.

Syrena made a face. Of course something came to mind, but she just smiled and played if off. "Hm, nope, nothing comes to mind." She said with a shrug of her shoulders.

She laughed at the stronger drink part. "What about your job? Well first, what is your job? I need all the details to get a full understanding." She rested her chin on her fist as she studied his face. Syrena Harris was a little too nosey for her own good.

“Oh really?” Felix rose his brows, his twitching up in a small grin. “There has to be something in your life that’s made you wonder if you’re truly a dumbass or not.”

“Actually neither. It’s my job. Well, my last relationship, too, but that’s something I’m not getting into right now or I’m going to need a stronger drink.”

I caved.

I was hesitating to get in on the POTC au by @carewyncromwell because I don't remember most of the movies except Stranger Tides and Dead Men Tell No Tales. BUT THE AU IS JUST SO FUN AND I WANTED TO GET IN TOO!

So while I was racking my brain trying to see if there's a character Sarahi would fit in, I have to give Carewyn the credit for reminding me about Syrena the mermaid in Stranger Tides. I loved that immediately, with Barnaby as Philip, and made up some sketches... at least they were meant to be just sketches. I colored them because I have zero self control.

I just sorta made screenshot redraws for now. I'm gonna make more of Mermaid Sarahi soon!

"Of course I think so! You two are totally cute and perfect and the list goes on and on. Definitely prom queen and king material." Syrena would die on that hill, it was a fact to her. And no, she definitely was not biased in any way. Surely she would still think the same even if it wasn't her brother and his girlfriend. "Yeah, yeah, of course he did." She said waving her off with a playful eyeroll. "But I guess since he was bragging so can I. I was also prom queen my year." The Harris family were quite popular around town, there was no doubt about that.

"No, really? You'd think we'd win?" There was no mistaking the surprise in Gwen's voice. Maybe she should've thought more of herself, but in all honesty she didn't think she would get anywhere close to being prom queen. She thought someone more of a social butterfly would win. "Well, thank you. That means a lot. You know, he did tell me he won prom king during his time here. I'm not too surprised, though." @syrenaxharris
