My favourite tsc book cover????? My favourite is probably the city of glass cover: the red is just so pretty + bias because it’s my favourite book. However if you were to ask me which cover I think is the prettiest I’d have to chain of iron

I don’t hate him by any means at all, but I find Thomas to be a very boring and lack lustre character!!!! In my opinion he does not really offer anything to the story.

Like if you removed him, there would be no impact 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 and i know a lot of people are fond him X Alastair, which is cute and I do like: but Alastair is just 10x a more interesting character in that relationship 😭

I have been re reading asoiaf and got inspired to do a stannis portrait. I tried to show the theorized night lamp scenario. Started as a pencil sketch then brought over to krita, I put the sketch back in as an overlay at the end and the texture might be a bit heavy handed but I don’t mind it. Hope you like!

I keep seeing this take a lot but I really hate the perception that Kit is only mad at Ty because he confessed during Livvy’s resurrection and Ty didn’t say anything! That is not the only reason why he’s upset!

This comes from Kit’s letter that Cassandra shared on tumblr. For me it was clear that the whole resurrection and getting to that point, Kit saw a different side of Ty which he didn’t like and didn’t like the way it made Kit feel. That’s why he’s upset. Don’t get me wrong ,I think Ty not responding to his confession definitely adds to his anger and sadness but I think only taking the away from Kit’s feelings disregards nuance to the emotion (and also takes away from Cassandra’s FAVOURITE TROPE OF ALL TIME MISCOMMUNICATION).

At the same time, while yes the confession is very very poorly timed, it’s one of the only times we actively see Kit go out of his way to express his emotions truthfully. Kit hiding his emotions is very prevalent to his character and so this moment of vulnerability being disregarded WOULD negatively impact him. But, at the same time having to keep this secret also hinders his ability to fully connect with his new family (as stated in the letter). In SOBH we see that Tessa can tell Kit is not telling them something that obviously impacts Kit because he genuinely tries so hard to make these connections but doesn’t know how due to his dad. Ty sadly adds onto this.

And while I’m talking about the whole confession resurrection, that’s also not the primary reason why Kit leaves. I definitely think it’s a driving force, but I think it just adds onto the fact kit doesn’t think he belongs with the blackthorns because there not really his family, and that he didn’t see himself apart of there family. It’s definitely very prevalent to the insecurity we see him harbour throughout all the books, but he also mentions this at the end of QOOAD. Ty ‘rejecting’ (can you truly reject someone when there raising there sister from the dead? Who knows) enforced the idea that he wasn’t apart of blackthorns family IMO.
