okay so when I think of these two I think of mellow giant ( bc yong is a tall birb ) with chaotic gremlin ( bc suki is short in comparison to at least all of her friends so far….she needs to find shorter friends really 🥲 ) BUT ALSO…it’s because based on what we’ve plotted for these two so far and also from my understanding of yong ( so far- do correct me if I’m wrong tho!! ), he’s not the kind of person to necessarily get riled by the small things UNLESS it’s hurting someone he cares about. ( this is why suki’s here- so she can complain for him…she has enough salt and pettiness to complain for both her AND yong JFKSLJF ) So in this case, I would like to introduce u to this image….bc it?? Screams them?? KINDA??

But back to them!! I love that suki is perpetually confusing yong with her thoughts 24/7 and how they’re almost opposites in how suki is just go, go, go, and yong is more chill, mellow again might be the right word?? Like I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s completely go-with-the-flow, but it’s more like…he’s a warm sunny day by the the river…peaceful. A breath of fresh air, even and especially for someone like suki, who is almost always on her toes out a. habit but also b. a necessity since her job is very demanding and not to mention her coworkers are very similar to her in that they are also….go-getters. yong is very nice if not NECESSARY change for her pace as since he’s lived for a long while ( at least by human years ), he’s probably seen and experienced a lot…also just that he tends to wait and think things through first before making a decision…something that suki decidedly does not do more often than not JFKLSDJFSL but also as I’ve said before, she doesn’t’ make friends easily so when she makes someone, pls know she is clingy af….alexa play ‘never gonna give you up, never gonna say goodbye’ JFLKSJDKLFJS

on yong’s end though, I hope that suki provides him with a certain…freshness to life again? Like of course he has his sibling and someone he’s crushing on BUT also suki is well…u see her, someone who very much would kneel to the side to smell the roses even if she’s seen it for the nth/ someone who would take a moment to look at a lizard bc she?? Wants to and needs no other reason to do so :’D basically, what I’m trying to say is that suki might give?? yong a little variation in his life as she is quite unpredictable….good thing yong is more than happy to follow along FJKSLDJF

but also i love the irony in their friendship how yong is the chosen one of a korean phoenix, which still means he does have the motif of fire and then there’s suki….with a severe pyrophobia AND YET?? They still get along SO WELL :D I think that also comes with despite having different demeanors, they do share some crucial traits, like how they both aren’t incredibly open about their respective histories and traumas ( did I mention I’m gonna KICK THOSE PPLS BUTTS BTW; WHY WOULD YOU DO SUCH A THING TO SWEET TOL’ BIRB D-:< ) and how they both have unique habits ( ie. Suki- the paper thing, yong- clicking pens ) to cope with stress….it’s in that sense I like to think suki can relate to yong even if she doesn’t necessarily know a lot about him….

Honestly, when I think of yong, I think of a hearth fire- true it’s still fire, but it’s also controlled and tranquil, the kind of fire that suki these days is more comfortable and when she begins to really push to overcome her pyrophobia, the kind of fire she practices her exposure with….but also pls consider!! Suki asking yong to use his powers around her when she starts looking to overcome it bc he’s got the most access to fire AKA he can also turn it off, BUT ALSO when those mean people come back trying to find yong pls know suki is more than willing to get in front of yong bc even if she is a pipsqueak and DEFINITELY not the most physically intimidating, is she going to try and fite them?? yes absolutely ( but also pls consider on a lighter note, suki getting worked up at least once and trying to fite someone….only for yong to hold her back by the back of her shirt JFKLSJDLF )- she’ll probably break her hand in the process but anything for her friend, okay?

as for her discovering he’s a superhuman…well she’s seen pretty weird ( ie. See ace attorney trilogy ) so if she can handle spirit world shenaganians then while it might take some time, I think she wouldn’t be too surprised…if ppl can talk to the dead, then why not everything else as well?? I do think she would try to see where the intersections of the supernatural and science can be applied as well ( ethically, of course )….

As for where they can go….well I was thinking about her cinders verse and therefore her BLACK KNIGHT VERSE and just…if you’re okay with this, but yong being one of the ppl she confides in when she initially quits the lapd?? But also in her black knight verse, not her meeting up with yong occasionally for lunch and just maybe?? The two of them talking about the same person ( ie. The pigeon man ) but knowing him by a different name JFLSJDFJKL

a/n : Am I posting too much Jaehyun fic? Anyways it is February and I associate him with February (despite there are other members having Feb as their bday too! miannnn)

“Hey um sorry to bother you,” Mark pops his head into your room.

You turn your head to look at him, eyebrows rising to ask him why.

Mark scratches his neck and you pause the music jamming into your ears. You drag your earphone down and ask the “troubled” man on your door frame.

“Umm Jaehyun is drunk again, and he called me to pick him up.” Mark explains slowly, you nod and wait for him to continue, “Are you busy?”

You glance at the clock, it’s almost nine and tomorrow is Saturday. You don’t really have anything coming soon, you finished your work for this week already.

“Nope not busy, why?” You finally tackle Mark down to the big question mark you had in your head.

Jaehyun is drunk and yeah what does Mark needs?

“You know I still cannot drive, and Johnny is on the party too drunk. Taeyong has passed out since his first cup and I don’t know who else can I ask help for.”

You smirk and shake your head, what a silly request!

However, Mark is still your cousin and Jaehyun is the man you treasure.

“Funny how Jaehyun called you instead of me! Did he forget you cannot drive yet.” You stand up to change your clothes and Mark doesn’t need a second order to change too.

“You’re sitting beside me! I am not dealing with the drunk men!” You put on a jacket and grab the key, wallet, and phone.

You made it to the party house, Mark quickly fetching his three drunk brothers and you just stay back. You’re not coming in.

The last man to enter the car is Jaehyun. You did not know how Mark made the three big men sit on the back compartment of your car, but here we are!

“Woaah we’re suddenly in a car! Who called the cab? Why is the service so nice…” Taeyong blurs off laughs and words, “Even the driver is pretty!”

You roll your eyes, why would Tae drinks if he knows he is this bad with alcohol.

“Hey she’s (y/n)! Dummy… keep quiet Yong, or else you’ll puke.” Johnny pushes Taeyong’s head to the other side. Well Taeyong needs to sit between the two men and he’s already leaning to Johnny.

“Ah it’s you sweetie! Sorry for going out again without you…” Jaehyun reaches for your shoulder from the back seat. You’re used to this, even though you two are dating, you don’t always join him on his parties.

“Driving her boyfriend home safely, check!” Jaehyun giggles in his unconscious state.

“Bae, help me with this calculus homework!!” Jaehyun once knocked on your apartment you share with Mark. He barged in one evening after you and Mark finished dinner, in a messy hair and crumpled math paper.

You nicely offered him dinner and brought him to sit on the dining table. Mark served him snacks and water, while you calmly taught him how to work on the problems. Step by step, well while reviewing too, since he was on the same class as you.

After working on the homework and Jaehyun could answer ten sets of question by himself, you let him go.

“Thanks girl! You’re the perfect lover!”

Teaching and tutoring your boyfriend? Check!

“Babe, sorry to disturb you again…” Jaehyun’s voice appears softer and you know he is going to ask you a favor with this tone.

You glance from your homework, sparing only an eyebrow to him and he grins “I lost some buttons on the way home.” He shows you his button up shirt that lost three buttons.

You raise your brow, “Did you fight?”

He scratches his pink hair, “Well, someone mocked Doyoung and Taeyong, so I taught them some lessons.”

Only then did you notice, he has a small bruise on his face and a ripped lip.

You quickly stand up and grab his cheeks, checking for any other scratches on his pretty face. Jaehyun giggles when he sees your worried face.

You pick up the first aid kit and sit down on the sofa with Jaehyun by your side. “You should stop fist fighting sweetie, you don’t want to end up in the police office. I don’t have enough money to bail you out.” You roll your eyes and laugh, trying to make him laugh too.

Jaehyun smirks, “Haha yeah I know that, but you will find a way.”

You press on his scar and he winces, “Stop playing around.” You snap at him.

After taking care and bandaging his wounds, you finish your homework while Jaehyun sits on the sofa compressing his body.

You clean up your stuffs and finally walk to take your sewing kit, “Do you still have your buttons?”

He shakes his head, “Gone.”

You smirk, “Sorry, the only one I have are these,” you show him a set of cute pink buttons.

Jaehyun’s mouth drop, “You want me to wear that?”

You frown, “Well you lost your buttons. That is your button up, you go buy your own buttons.”

He sighs, “Fine…”

You smile secretly, “I’ll fix it later, wash this first.” You toss it to him and he lazily walks to the laundry basket and bring his dirty laundries with him to the washing room.

He goes back to the room with a happier face, saying he met Doyoung and Taeyong doing their laundries and got treated to some coffee. You just nod and the night goes on.

Only on the next morning did Jaehyun greets you with a spin and a kiss.

“When did you fix my shirt? Gosh thanks! You really are a perfect girl! Love you!!” he kisses you happily and you just nod your head.

Well, he slept early last night and you nicely sew his three buttons back with a normal button. You have them, you just want to tease him.

“Taking care of boyfriend and sewing clothes, check!”

“Sorry I am late!” Jaehyun appears wet under the rain, and you just shake your head at the boy who is stranding in the front porch of your college building drenched in rain water.

“Forgot your umbrella again?” you calmly lead him into your college hall. Well, he promised to attend the exhibition with you, but here he is drenched in rain.

“I lend it to an old lady, she was stuck in the supermarket and I passed by.” He tries his best to squeeze the water out of his shirt.

You dig into your bag and toss him your sweater, “Lucky I brought your sweater. Go change, at least you won’t fall sick.”

His pants are wonderfully wet, but that guy managed to half dry it on the toilet.

“Secretly has a back up for boyfie, check!” Jaehyun grins to himself.

The list goes on, the number of incidental and accidental moments pile up. But always whatever happen, you always have a solution for him. With your calm personality, you just shake your head in disbelieve and like magic, you are able to give him a solution.

“Yow Jae, tell us how are you still surviving college at this rate?” Johnny asks his friend on a Saturday boys night.

Jaehyun looks away from the TV screen and spare a glance on his friend, “Survive? What do you mean?”

Doyoung groans at his slow wit, “That slow wit, fights, constant good scores despite you sleeping in class, and many more drunk nights.”

Taeyong has already shifted his attention too from the screen to the young man in pink hair.

“Share the secret please!” Yuta chimes in.

Jaehyun thinks for awhile, trying to answer all the questions proposed to him suddenly.

“Um… I think I survived and still live today because of (Y/n).” he shrugs his shoulder.

The four men groan and sigh, “RIGHT! How can we forget your super girlfriend!”

“You’re right (y/n) is the one who takes care of me! It’s like any problem I have… she has the solution.” Jaehyun realizes.

Doyoung lets out a huff, “Where can we get one?”

“I lowkey want to steal her when she picks us up on the club at night!” Johnny winks, which earns a pout from Jaehyun

“I want her more when Jaehyun said she sew his clothes at night when he lost three buttons. Gosh Jaehyun you’re really pampered, she does everything for you!” Taeyong punches Jaehyun’s shoulder playfully.

Jaehyun stays silent, his friends’ words coming in and out of his ear like that, but his head is slowly playing all of the memories and times he asked for your help and you’re always there. You always leave everything behind and help him, but has he done the same thing for you? Doubt.

“Aigo she is perfect! Can I just steal her? I believe I can be a better man,” Yuta laughs, and the other men laugh too but that earns him a loud smack on the head from Jaehyun.

“CALM DOWN! MY HEAD! YOU PUNCHED ME FULL POWER!” Yuta rubs his pounding head and sees fire in Jaehyun’s eyes

“No one is stealing her! She is mine, and fyi you cannot find anyone else like her in this world.” Jaehyun smiles with proud, “She is one of a kind, and if you find someone else like her, she belongs to me.”

"oh, no please. let's chat," he replies, leaning forward to cradle in chin in his palm, grinning. "there's chatting trickling through about you and yoongi being a thing -- or almost a thing. would you like to expand on that?" not expecting the question, your mouth gapes as you sit there speechless, nervously chuckling and reaching for your glass of wine to distract yourself with a sip. "oh? do my eyes deceive me, or is miss _____ speechless? and blushing?"

"shut up, i am not."

"you so are."

"it's the wine."

"we've drunk together before; i know you're good with your alcohol. you haven't even had a full glass yet. c'mon. gimme the details. what's going on with you and yoongi?"

"nothing. we've just... gone on a couple dates outside of work, that's all. that's nothing wild and crazy," you say, shrugging and hoping it looks as casual as you want it to be.

"mhm. sure," hoseok hums, still grinning when he sits back in his chair.

"alright, fine. you're level-headed enough to handle your own work, i'm sure. should we talk business?"

"it's a good a time as ever. what's the scene?"

"a sandwich: you, jeongguk, and taehyung."

"mmm, my favourite type of sandwich," you hum, unlocking your phone to type notes. "specifics?"

"well, if you'd ever like to cave to temptation, you know where to find me."

the both of you turn to see namjoon at the table, ruffling his hair and fixing his shirt.

"wow. nice of you to turn up," hoseok scoffs, rolling his eyes. "you're only forty-five minutes late."

"sorry," namjoon says, sitting down. "i, um... got caught up."

"seokjin oppa's ass that tight?"

"wh-- c'mon! i wasn't that late!" namjoon whines.

"i've made porn shorter than how long it took you to get here. i've made men come quicker than how long it took you to get here."

"next time i need to talk about work between _____ and the other two, i think i'm gonna contact her directly," hoseok says.

Paring: Yoonmin (Yoongi x Jimin) Words: 1854 {My first time writing a fanfiction ^^ Hopefully you'll enjoy} -Jimin's POV- I woke up from my nap to the sound of Hoseok and Jin arguing... again. I got up from bed to get a snack and headed down. "Listen Hoseok, I'm not going to- ah! Hello, Jimin!" Jin greeted me with a bright smile that was almost immediately was smacked on his face. I greeted him back "Hi, Jin." I just gave him a smile back and opened the cabinet. They continued arguing, but I yelped in surprise when I was picked up by my waist and twirled around. "Jiminieeee!!" I'll admit, the sound of Yoongi's voice made my heart race. "Ah! H-Hello Yoongi!" I felt my face burning up, pretty sure I was tomato red to be honest. "How'd you sleep?" He asked me sweetly in a sift voice. "I s-slept well, t-thank you!" I responded back being the stuttering mess I was. He put me down and just stroked my hair "Mm, that's nice to hear." He smirked slightly at me and pinched my cheeks suddenly.. -Yoongi's POV- "Y-Yoongi!!" He somewhat shouted, yelping before that. God, he's so cute. I laughed a little and continued what I did, him still calling for me. "Yess?" I asked while still laughing a bit. "S-Stop!" He told me. "How can I stop at something so cute? Hm?" I responded back. He looked at me for a moment with those cute little chocolate eyes. "I'm n-not cute y-yoonie!" I just giggled in response and stopped pinching his cheeks. "Yes you are jimin, don't lie to me~" I held him close and gave him a kiss on his forehead. Jimin didn't seem to notice but he blushing a bright rosy color, but knew his face was probably burning up. They later then all left, and we were left alone. -Nobody's POV- They both stood there looking in the each other's eyes for a few moments before Jimin called out to him. "Hyung..I-I have s-something to show y-you that I b-bought yesterday. I-I don't know i-if you'll l-like it, but I thought it w-was cute." Yoongi smiled in response and kissed his cheek softly "I'm sure I'll like it chim chim, don't worry.." Jimin blushed brightly and held his hand before saying "O-Ok, follow m-me.." He held yoongi's hand and led him upstairs to show him. Jimin soon let go of his hand and went into his room. "Wait h-here, please.." He told him as he slowly closed the door. Yoongi nodded and waited for him. Jimin ran to his closet quickly and looked through to find what he bought. He put on the outfit before looking in the mirror to fix some stuff on the outfit before calling out to Yoongi "I-I'm almost f-finished!" Yoongi responded by saying "Ok jiminie, take your time!" Jimin quickly went back to his closet and put on pastel pink thigh highs. He walked over to the door and opened it slowly, hiding behind the door shyly. Yoongi chuckled slightly "Don't hide chim chim, what is it you want to show me?" Jimin was practically red at this point and came out from behind the door. G-Dragon fanfiction (one shot)

Plot:

You’re a daughter of music editor from YG company. Your father works there for ages and at times you visit studio. At first it was because you’re fascinated by this whole process of music production. When you was teenager you was firstly dazed, seeing so many popular artists. Big Bang was already popular when you visited studio for the first time. Now you can rather call all these people your friends. The other (and now main) reason of you coming here was just behind a door that you just opened. He was writing on computer, certainly working on his new song.

Jiyong was fascinating person and you noticed it throught all these years when you’ve been coming here few times per month. You noticed he’s beautiful man right away but he became even hotter when his stage image became more rebellious. But earlier- when you started to watch him at tv and listened to stories from others, you felt that he’s really interesting. Wasn’t it quite ironic? Sometimes he was next to you but you never really talked since you started having crush on him so you actually knew most of things about him from others. Last time you dared to talk to him was five years ago when you thought about showing him some of your lyrics that you wroted at the age of 16.

Jiyong oppa, they say that you’re really good in writing lyrics.. you started conversation in one breath. Your heart was beating fast but that time you wasn’t still sure why. He looked up at you with smile.

Me? Who did tell you this? he asked you, laughing. Something skipped in your stomach. You thought it sounded like you was asking people about him which was true.

Uh.. Just some folks. you answered, trying to sound cool. Anyway, I wroted some stuff and I wanted to ask if.. you know, if you could take a look.

Let’s see.

He started reading and you wanted this moment to end because you felt like a fool standing there in silence, not knowing what what he was thinking.

Min Young, do you want to be a song writer? he asked suddenly, looking at piece of paper in his hands. He always seemed unpredictable. You rather expected him to say that song was a real crap or just fine but instead of this he came out with this sudden question on which whom you didn’t know the answer.

Oh.. That’s tough question. you started, fixing your long hair. I guess I must like it if I wrote some of it.

Then wrote thousands of it. Then you will know if you really like it and if it’s better than the previous one. If people like it, it means you did good. Try to improve it.

Wow. Kwon Ji Yong, that’s cool advice. you said out of blue and Jiyong started to laugh.

Ok, I’ll be back to work. Good luck. he said, patting your arm. You knew he treated you like a kid and just a daughter of his co-worker. You was a young lady but still underage so it would be creepy if he had any interest in you. But even now when you was 21, you kne he didn’t pay attention so you decided that you will just continue coming to studio to at least see him. You bowed to everybody in room and sit next to your father. You started talking to him about mom wanting him to come home earlier. When your father started nagging about having lot of work, you looked discreetly at Jiyong. He was already in his own world, listening to background music, prepared for new lyrics.

Anyway, why aren’t you home? you heard your father. You didn’t pay attention until he looked at you curious.

Huh? Why? Can’t I? you took a simple words out of your mouth.

Sweetheart, you know that we’re working on new album. And you’re not little girl..

Ok, I get it, appa. you cut it off. You didn’t want to listen that you’re too big girl to come here anytime you want. You didn’t want anyone say anything connected with you being kid. You was adult now and you wanted the one you liked to see you as a woman. You got up from the chair and took your handbag.

Go to lunchroom and drink some coffe. I’ll be there in fifteen minutes, ok?

For some reason you wanted to stay in YG building so you agreed and left. You had an idea to buy some coffe and come back to studio, pretending that fifteen minutes already left and you waited for too long. So you did it. You entered room that was now full of people. You heard discussion between Jiyong and producers. There was also Taeyang who left recording room, saying that he wanted to change his part. You saw Jiyong rubbing his face with tired expression.

Your father noticed you and directed you to corridor.

We’re having hard time because we may not have all songs ready for a planned date. He sigh, looking at you. I know why you’re coming here but he needs to focus now.. And I also don’t think it’s a good idea.

You prayed not to blush that time and be too obvious but you knew how to talk smoothly with your father to make him think that his assumptions were wrong.

No. You don’t know why I’m coming here and even if you think you know there’s no specific reason that I’m coming here. And even if there was, you can’t stop me.

Father started blinking with disbelief.

Here you go again. I don’t understand anything.

That was my intention, actually.

Ugh.. Ok, just go home. he said with resignation in tone.

Before you fell asleep you remembered this awkward moment from past when you visited studio. You saw Daesung sleeping on couch and T.O.P sitting on chair, staring at his phone with his tongue sticked. He was probably playing some weird game. Music producer was doing something important but there was no trace of Jiyong.

Hi, Min Young. Are you looking for GD hyung?! you heard behind your back and you looked at Seungri with awe. T.O.P looked over his phone at you. You gulped silently and forced yourself to smile.

What? You’re weird, oppa. you laughed and patted his arm. I’m just bored. Can’t I stay here?

Of course you can! Seungri said. You sit on the couch. GD oppa will be back soon by the way. he added and you clenched your teeth to not to accidentally tell him to shup up. You noticed suspicious smile on T.O.P’s face.

But it would look too obvious if you left now. It would look like Seungri was right and you tried to run away from Jiyong. Besides, you wanted to see him so badly. Jiyong came and said short hello to you. He was in good mood and you just listened when he talked funny story about his trip to Japan. He was so adorable when he laughed so sincerely.

You knew that one of many things that made you fall in love with him was his sweet smile.

All right, boys. Time to go home. There’s nothing for you to do here now. producer annouced after few minutes.

Yes, sir! T.O.P shouted suddenly, jumping from his place and saluting. Daesung lifted his head with grimace.

Why are you screaming? I had so sweet dream. he mumbled.

D-Lite, you can go home and sleep as much as you want now. Jiyong laughed, stroking his head.

Oh ok..

You took your jacket and bag, ready to leave when you suddenly felt embrace around your chest.

Min Young-ah, thanks for cheering us up. It’s been a while when some girl was in studio and it’s boring without girls around. you heard Jiyong’s voice close to your ear.

You stopped breathing for a second. Did he just hugged you from behind? Right in front of the rest of members? You saw surprised face of Daesung and then you just started looking at the ground. Jiyong realeased you and you knew you was checking out if you’re fine.

Min Young-ah?

Why did you hug me? We.. Do you hug every girl you barely know?

You didn’t know how these words came out from your mouth but you sounded so cold. You were embarrased. Was he making fun of you because he knew what you felt about him or he was flirting like this with every girl?

No.. but.. We’re like a family. We, people from YG. he looked confused.You felt even bigger anger. So he hugged you like you was his sister or some cute puppy? It was even worse than him playing with you. At least then it would mean that he treated you like a women he’s attracted to. Not some baby. And then you said a words that you regretted later:

You’re just working with my father. We’re not that close.

It felt even more awkward because members were still there, looking at both of you. You bowed.

Thank you. I had a nice time. Good bye.

You left studio calmly but you started walking very fast to come to elevator before other memebers. You took a lift. It was raining outside so you stopped for a while, thinking what to do next.

Awful weather, isin’t it? My driver is coming. He will take you home. I heard your dad still has a meeting with CEO.

You looked at T.O.P approaching you, lighting his cigarette.

Thanks.

You like him, right? he asked you. You started staring at him but kept looking ahead. I mean, Jiyong-sshi.

You just nodded after longer silence. T.O.P smiled.

Many girls have crush on him.

I know. you answered.

He likes fooling around with girls at times but he didn’t mean to offend you. I’m sure he’s embarrassed now.

And after that you felt that T.O.P was right because Jiyong didn’t try to talk to you instead of saying hello to you. He even seemed to not noticing you when you were coming. You decided that you will try to stop liking him so much but it was hard. You even started to date a guy from your school. It’s been years and you tried to avoid Jiyong. You just dated your boyfriend and you stopped coming to studio. You even felt that your feelings started fading away but ou was wrong. One day you had to visit your father’s workplace to give lunch that your mother prepared for whole crew. You saw Jiyong behind a glass in recording room, rapping his part. Your heart skipped.

Hey, guys. Come here. My daughter brought very delicious meal. you father said.

Can I go now? you asked, seeing that Jiyong was just taking off his headphones, ready to leave recording room.

Look at you. Not so long ago I couldn’t make you go home. Your father laughed. You will eat with us. Don’t be ridiculous. Sit down.

Jiyong came and he only looked shortly at you. Your father invited him for little treat.

He thanked and tooked his part of meal. He didn’t talk much. In fact he seemed to be in a bad mood.

I’ll go to smoke. T.O.P-sshi, you’re coming too? he annouced, rising from chair.

No. I just smoked. Thanks.

You finished eating and checked out if anyone was looking at you in any weird way.

Dad, I’ll be going now, ok? Thanks for your company. You bowed and left studio. You started looking around. You wanted to follow Jiyong so badly. You wanted to see him, to look at him and be with. He usually smoked on the roof so you went there but he wasn’t there. There was also a balcony on second floor where most of people smoked so went there. Jiyong was sitting on the stairs but he didn’t seem like someone who came to smoke a cigarette. He seemed more like someone deep in thought. He noticed you but didn’t say a word. He probably didn’t realise that you came here for him. You came closer.

What are you doing here?

I don’t know.. You seem down. Something’s wrong? You asked him, sitting next to him. He was clearly surprised.

Aren’t we just strangers? Why would you care about my mood?

You could feel bitterness in his voice, even if his face didn’t show any emotions.

But.. we didn’t seem strangers before.

You said yourself that I was just your father’s co-worker. he answered, not even looking at you.

You still remember what I said almost five years ago?! you couldn’t hide how surprised you were. He slowly nodded and started to laugh.

How couldn’t I? I thought that I will be killed by your father after he finds out I hugged his one and only daughter. Wasn’t that inappropriate when you were only 16?

Oh.. I see. you answered shortly, looking at the ground. Sorry for overacting. I was just.. surprised, I guess.

You noticed Jiyong smiling under his nose.

I’m sorry too. I don’t know what came into me. he added and there was something different in tone of his voice. You looked at him and he smiled lightly, looking away. Was is only your imagination or he just gulped?

Just the same way that you used to when you was nervous in front of him? Your felt your stomach coming to your throat. You involuntarily looked at his lips.

What? you asked nervously but he only smiled.His eyes were so beautiful and sparkling.

You even didn’t know when your faces become so close.You felt his breath on your lips and warmth of his body next to you.

Your lips met but just a second before they meant to be linked, your phone started to ring. You flinched on the sound of it so Jiyong moved his head away.

You looked at display. Your boyfriend was calling you.

Aren’t you going to answer? Jiyong’s voice was cold.

Oh.. Yes.

You picked your phone and you heard your boyfriend’s voice:

Where are you? I found out you’re not home.

Did you check it? I told you before that I’ll be later. you answer with tired tone.

Why didn’t you answer my message? You’ve been ignoring me lately!

I’m not ignoring you. Stop screaming! you answered with anger. I’ll talki with you later. See ya!

Yah..

You disconnected and and looked down. There was a long silence between you and Jiyong. Like both of you were afraid to say anything. You finally got up from stairs. You take few steps but you stopped. You couldn’t just walk away when you almost kissed. But he heard your conversation with your boyfriend..

Min Young-ah.. you heard him and felt a touch of his fingers on your hand. He grabbed it and he quickly stood next to you like he was afraid that you might disappear in one second. When I heard you talking with him, it’s obvious that you’re not doing well. Maybe I’m delusional but it gave me some hope.

Hope? you only whispered, staring deeply in his eyes. You were breathing heavily.

I thought you didn’t like me all this time but now it looks like you care about me too, don’t you?

I-I do.. you mumured. He took both of your hands.

You can call me crazy jerk but I don’t care that you have a boyfriend. He touched your cheek, looking intensely at you. It makes me like you even more. he added and you suddenly felt that your legs became weak. Did he just confessed to you when you thought he didn’t even see you as a love interest?

But.. you started but he stopped you by sudden kiss. It was deep and passionate.

There wasn’t even a second when you just pulled him closer and kissed him back. I like you too, Jiyong.

[BRODUCE 911] EP.3 Heart Attack

you sighed and almost collapsed onto the ground but was supported by your arm which was leaning against the railing inside the elevator. you forgot to breath during all these frantic moments.

YOU: *m-maybe next time I’ll try to find someone kinder looking.... but Seungwoo looked kind.... but it was weird.... I’ll just-*

before you know it, the elevator door had opened and you found yourself in an awkward position. it’s now level 4 and you’ve gone up a level. not really upgraded but in your opinion, you’re more lost than ever.

YOU: *i don’t think i can’t not get lost youngmin-shi*

you carefully stepped out of the elevator and looked around. it seems like a more deserted area for sure.

you read a nearby sign ‘surgeon office’.

YOU: *come to think of it... i haven’t met any surgeons yet...* /slowly opens the door and sees a figure in the sofa located in the center of the room.

looks around to see if anyone else is there and decides to ask the simple question you’ve help in for so long.

YOU: /approaches the figure and lightly tapped his shoulder. E-excuse me..

before you know it, the person eyes you with only one eye open and pulls your arm, making you stumble on top of him. you blushed redder than you are before and gasped.

YOU: oH MY GOD! /you shrieked in panic.

???: /groans at the loud noise and opens both eyes. ...who are you?

YOU: *holy watermelons... that’s what i want to ask you??? why do I keep getting involved in a weird way?*

YOU: *oH MY GOD I DID MEET A SURGEON TODAY. He was totally weird so I forgot all about it... more than that I shouldn’t have peeked into this room and sneaked around and found another weird guy- /internally screaming.*

YONGGUK: /places a finger on your lips. Shh... /looks back at ong. Nothing. Where were you anyway? I needed to to talk to you about that class five stroke patient who was admitted yesterday.

(don’t fry me med students i don’t know if there’s classes or levels for strokes but as a dent student there is one for caries/decay so let’s just pretend ok don’t deep fry me!!!)

MINHYUN: /sighs, rolls back his aching shoulder. Don’t ask him. He’s going to rant about an intern girl who ditched him.

???: /lolz. Don’t forget the fact that she was having an ‘affair’ /makes quotation marks with his fingers. with Youngmin

MINHYUN: /snickers. Y-yeah, he’s busy exercising alright.

YONGGUK: Seungwoo- /tries to think of an excuse. -can you check on the report I did for this month’s-

SEUNGWOO: /looks over the sofa curiously to see what kind of yoga position yongguk is doing (and if he can copy it himself lol). /finds you and yongguk in an intimate position. Wow I must be day-dreaming because i sEE HER RIGHT HERE! /he points a finger towards yongguk and you.

JAEHWAN: /drags his chair to see the scene and burst out laughing; hitting the sofa and spinning around in circles. O-oh my god t-this is so funny! She got a-another one down! pFFT!

at this moment you didn’t know if you’d prefer to resign starting from day one or try to escape your current position and avoid the surgeons and the surgeon office for good.

YONGGUK: /sits up properly and pulls you up gently. /sighs. Looks like we’ve been discovered /mumbles in a low voice. I’ll explain-

SEUNGWOO: OK YOU’RE NOT EXPLAINING ANYTHING. I’M A GROWN MAN WITH A FUNCTIONING BRAIN AND I CAN PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER-

MINHYUN: If you go into a cardiac arrest right now I’m not sure if Yongguk would save you, you know /stares at Jaehwan nonchalantly.

JAEHWAN: oH NO! /jokingly. MY HEART DOCTOR WON’T FIX MY HEART FOR MEEEEEE. I THINK HE HAS TOO MANY LOVE PROBLEMS IN HIS HANDS RIGHT NOW- PFFFFFFT.

YOU: ...are you a cardiac surgeon? /looks at yongguk.

YONGGUK: /nods twice.

Telexistence thinks that having a telepresence robot that’s humanoid on the other end will make it more natural to interact with, I’m guessing. And they’ve done a reasonable job with the design:

I have to wonder what kind of latency you get between Japan and Hawaii, though. And honestly, if I had to pick a place to experience via telepresence, “inside of a surf shop” would not be at the top of my list. But space, pretty cool.

Researchers from MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) have designed a fleet of autonomous boats that offer high maneuverability and precise control. These boats can be 3-D printed using low-cost hardware and materials, and could serve as models for future self-assembling, driver-less water taxis transporting people and goods from place to place.

Exoskeletons are currently being tested for development and adoption in various roles, like helping assembly line workers with repetitive movements, baggage handlers lift luggage, and helping disabled people become more mobile. At the Applied Collegiate Exoskeleton (ACE) Competition, the first of it’s kind, teams created their exoskeletons for use by rescue workers.

The exoskeletons were put through tests similar to those for entry-level firefighters. After a design review, where safety components and how long it took to suit up were assessed, the exoskeletons were fitted with a 75 pounds of weights and timed while moving through an obstacle course: on balance beam, up and down stairs, across uneven terrain, under a low-clearance beam, and dragging a 165-pound mannequin for 100 feet.

Colorado School of Mines won the overall competition, edging out the U-M host team by less than a tenth of a point on a 650-point scale. MSU took third place.

Better TickBot than me, mate.

The TickBot works by using a magnetic sensor that follows a metal wire strung along the ground. Dry ice loaded into the TickBot is released as it crawls along, and the carbon dioxide it emits causes the ticks to grab onto a piece of cloth treated with pyrethrin, a pesticide that is non-toxic to humans.

In a new paper spearheaded by MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) and the University of Toronto, researchers demonstrate “VirtualHome,” a system that can simulate detailed household tasks and then have artificial “agents” execute them, opening up the possibility of one day teaching robots to do such tasks.

The team trained the system using nearly 3,000 programs of various activities, which are further broken down into subtasks for the computer to understand. A simple task like “making coffee,” for example, would also include the step “grabbing a cup.” The researchers demonstrated VirtualHome in a 3-D world inspired by the Sims video game.

The team’s artificial agent can execute 1,000 of these interactions in the Sims-style world, with eight different scenes including a living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, and home office.

The project TransFIT is part of the space road map of the DFKI RIC. The project focuses on the assembly and installation of infrastructure for space applications by humans and robots either autonomously or in cooperation. The cooperation between humans and robots follows the concept of “sliding autonomy”. This means that the control over a robot by a human can be very strong as it is the case during teleoperation, weaker as in case of teleoperation with an autonomous control of components or like supervision only in case of “operator in the loop” approaches. The goal of the human-robot interaction is not only task sharing but further training of robots enabling more complex autonomous behaviour.

2020 is going to be an exciting year for robots on Mars, and the ESA’s ExoMars rover will be conducting the most detailed search for Martians yet.

ESA’s (The European Space Agency) ExoMars rover is headed to the red planet in 2020, on a mission to search for signs of past or present life. One of its primary tools in this endeavor is MOMA, the Mars Organic Molecule Analyzer. MOMA is a sophisticated suite of technologies that squeezes a lab full of chemistry equipment into a package the size of a toaster oven. Its mass spectrometer subsystem and main electronics were built at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md, and mark the first use of a linear ion trap on another planet – a leap forward in the search for life beyond Earth.

Spring Berman talks about her extensive experience from research in the field of swarm robotics. One of the underlying ideas of the area is designing robot controls similar to the ones used in nature by different types of swarms of animals, systems that work without having a leader. We get to hear how many robots can be used together to handle tasks that would not be possible using one or a small number of robots. We also get introduced to the opportunities of mixing artificial animals with real ones. Spring describes some of the challenges within swarm robotics, which can be as diverse as mathematical modelling and regulatory issues. She also comments on the next frontier of research and the different research areas that are relevant to advance this area.

Twelfth day of Christmas (the last one!)

Lay by Your Side (Taeyong x you)

I do not own pictures, but I own the stories :D. It’s the last day of the project and although the header doesn’t really fit the theme, it’s too cute!! I gotta do it lol

Before reading I want to thank you all for reading this much :D I really appreciate your time and everything else you give for this 🥺🤗💖 ily all! Here we go

It’s another new year, a new chance to start the things you missed last year, a chance to fix your mistakes, the time for you to learn and grow from your past self.

You rest your eyes from watching the picturesque scene laid before your eyes. The blue green endless ocean that meets the horizon, the bright sun shining above your head and of course the sight of a book cover you can see when you raise your head.

You’re enjoying the last day staying in a bungalow at Hawaii before duty and responsibility call back. With your boyfriend, Lee Taeyong, relaxing on the long couch while reading his newest novel and your head is resting on his strong thighs.

The gentle breeze coming from the ocean through the window is enough to almost drive you to sleep, along with Taeyong’s slender fingers slowly stroking your hair as he focuses on his story, you can’t hold back the sleepiness hitting your body.

You yawn and feel his fingers leave your hair, only to hear a page flips and his fingers are back, stroking your hair calmly while sometimes applying a bit of a pressure to your scalp. You exhale and relax your shoulder, feeling even drowsier now.

“Yong-ie” you mumble with your eyes closed, you’re bored seeing the cover.

“Hmm?” he asks you back, his head didn’t move, his book is still in the same place and you bet his eyes are not stopping at all from those lines.

“Fun part?” you ask him the chapter he is reading, well it’s not like he is ignoring you the whole holiday to finish that book. No, he was treating you so well and he just continued where he left off today. You understand if he wants to add a few more pages before he is back to his tight schedule as an idol.

“Quiet exhilarating, why? Need anything?” he asks finally pausing and putting aside the book so he can see your face.

“Glad I can finally see your face, not that boring book cover.” You grin and he leans in to kiss you.

“Sorry, let me fix my posture a bit,” he pulls his body that has been slipping down the couch and you yelp when you feel your head forced to meet his knees.

“Whoops, sorry” he picks you up from your neck slowly and helps you return to your position.

You giggle when you realize he’s still sweet even after he did something so clumsy. You flip your body so you’re resting your arms on his thighs as you cup your cheeks. You’re laying on your belly between his legs. (I really hope you can picture this)

“It’s okay, what are we going to do after this?” you ask, sending him a subtle hint you’re wishing to be able to do something else in this good villa before going home.

Taeyong smirks “Want what? We’ve explored everything around here, we even went swimming this morning.” He rubs circle with his thumb on your slightly tanned shoulder.

“Didn’t you have enough tan already? I cannot go tanner than this even if I want to, my stylist will kill me.” He chuckles and you nod your head “I know, I mean if I want my skin to be tanner, I’ll do it by myself. But-“ your breath hitched when you catch his red shiny lips in your sight.

Taeyong follows your gaze and realizes where you are staring at and he licks his lips when he caught you staring “Eyes are up here miss,” he teases you and do the regular “see my eyes here” finger gestures.

You gulp “Sorry,” and you focus your eyes to see his. His dark eyes are twinkling as usual but today with his messy hair he didn’t look cuddly at all.

You secretly snake your arms around his torso and bury your face into his chest before snuggling closer to his body if that is possible.

“Woah, careful can you breathe?” he asks when he sees you plant your face to his torso, you nod “Perfectly fine.”

He giggles and reaches out his book to continue where he left off. He peacefully hold his book on his right hand and his left hand is back to stroking your hair and now touching your skin too slightly grazing over it with his callouses fingers.

You did not know you fell asleep while hugging him. The soft snore coming out from you is what makes Taeyong stop reading his book.

He marks his page down and puts it aside. Slowly without waking you up, Taeyong moves your head so at least he can see your pretty face and ensures himself you’re not suffocated.

The man smiles down lovingly and gently places a kiss on your temple, he lets go when he feels your body stirring. While leaning back to the sofa, Taeyong watches the endless blue horizon that meets the sea. A small smile tugs his lips when he remembered the night he confessed his true feelings to you.

Taeyong always says he is a man with the heart of the sea, yes the sea because it is deep and mysterious. Though some of his friends say that may be interpreted in a wrong way, he met you and you bravely answered him with “And I am a fearless adventurer, who’s not afraid of the deep and mysterious sea. Guess we matched.”

He cannot hide his happiness away when his ring finger sparkles while stroking your hair and getting caught in the golden sun ray. With memories playing in his head, Taeyong plays with the metal ring on his hand. He always wears it everywhere he go, even to music shows!

Taeyong keeps his promise ring on his hand no matter what, no matter how hard the stylists tried to make him put it down just for the sake of the wardrobe and cameras. He always find a way to sneak it back on or just go to a long ass bickering of ridiculous things like

“It is my lucky ring… my mom said to never take this off…. Hey I might lose it….” And others even silly ones. But in the end, he did it. He always brings that small part of you with him, to remind him you are his and he is yours. He’s glad you’re not the type who gets jealousies instantly or even put needless curiosity over him.

Instead, Taeyong is more protective of you. He knows your past with your boyfriends are not good, especially the ones that secretly date another person, or just the abusive ones who are obsessed to have you. Taeyong acts protective because he didn’t want any one of them to hurt you, but you just smile and tell him “Thank you Tae, but trust me I can keep myself safe.”

And for three years of dating, you proofed yourself to Taeyong that you can take a good care of yourself. Saesang fans have gotten through your way before, but you can finish it off with a cold head and cold heart. You talked to them nicely, explaining that no it’s not a relationship. Well to you and him this is already beyond relationship, both of you are committed already and slowly taking steps to marriage. The fans asked your apology and you told them you won’t make a fuss if they keep quiet and also stop being a saesang.

You even asked them to join you for a drink and they open up to you, you learnt they became this wild because they crave for attentions they couldn’t get. So, you give them the attention they needed. Every month, you make a small gathering for that group of fans and they even bring more fans too and you just reveal yourself to be a nobody. They didn’t really mind who you are, they’re so happy to see that being a healthy fan is way way way much better.

You never tell Taeyong about that secret project, he only found out about it when a fan came to him during fan sign and told him everything. Taeyong went home that day with fascination, he told you about the story and he even praised the creator of that event.

You teased him “So you wanna marry that person?”

Taeyong on that day giggled and pulls out an “are you insane face” “Hell if I am not committed yet, I might ask that person out.”

You nod your head “I’m gonna tell you, even when you’re committed you can do that.”

He shakes his head “No way! I am not going to hurt you. I was just talking nonsense.”

You just silently walk to his back and hug him “Will you still say no when I show you who runs that project?” you show your phone to his face and swipe the photos you took from each event.

He went speechless and when his soul is back, Taeyong gets down on one knees and proposes without a ring. But that spontaneity and the air that night, made you nod your head. The night and the promise were sealed with a warm passionate kiss.

He bought you the ring two days after it, because he asked the jeweler to crave names inside.

It was a beautiful memory and you’ve passed the event on to another friend you trust can handle the lonely fans. You disappear from media because slowly Taeyong and you will be coming up to the agency and open up the hidden stories, though you both don’t know when.

He wants to marry you once the agency gives him the green light and of course after both your parents and his agree. Though he knows the latter part will be easier than the first one.

“So, are we going up this year?” Taeyong mumbles to the air, he is not actually talking to you for he knows you’re sleeping.

But even in your sleep, you unconsciously nod your head and give him a reassuring face he always gets from your face whenever he is in doubt.

Taeyong brushes your hair away from your glowing face and leans in once again to seal his lips with yours. “I love you (y/n), to infinity and beyond.” He whispers and seals your lips one more time.
