After some consideration my blog is going to be transitioning to private / mutuals only. I’ll probably be considerably more picky with who I write with and it will only be things I enjoy. I don’t want to come off as an asshole but I don’t have the time or energy for anything but stuff I genuinely am interested in or enjoy.

That being said, if something doesn’t work out I’m always open to trying something else! I’ll still be open to plotting and new threads but only interested in continuing those things if they’re interesting or unique to me. I’m not really a big fan of casual threads that don’t go anywhere – if that makes any sense! :)

If anyone has questions, concerns or needs clarification feel free to dm me. ✨ Soon I’ll update my rules with a more coherent version of this. For the most part, the people I usually and consistently write with are likely to be unaffected as we already have a repertoire and I clearly enjoy the interactions. For anyone else I’m more than happy to try to find something we can both enjoy and work with! (Probably just requiring more plotting than winging it so I know what direction we’re headed and stuff!)

Currently relieved to see that Orikan isn't taking Szarekh's calls. I genuinely worry that GW will write things to have him working with the Silent King soon and just...no? Orikan "would fist fight the sun if it looked like it was trying to tell him what to do" the Diviner hates authority and has even more reason to hate Szarekh specifically. He warned Szarekh about biotransference! Szarekh did not listen! Damn right Orikan is leaving him on read.

That's even without all the stuff with Imotekh that is STILL BEING IGNORED!

Finding the joy has quickly vanished from her face, Charade casts a gaze at Maria, giving the Umbreon a deliberate, knowing stare. She musters up a sad smile before turning her attention back on Prince, gently giving him a fond ruffle on the head.

Charade: “Your family is very important to you, isn't it? Here's a little story about me. When I was a kitten, my... family... was important to me, too. They wanted me to evolve so I could be a strong battler when I grew up. And I thought that's what I wanted! I thought I wanted to evolve and make the family proud.”

Charade: “Here's the thing: your family shouldn't make you feel pressured into doing what they want you to do. In my case, not evolving would have been... unacceptable. They were a terrible family for a lot of reasons, but that was one of them!”

Charade's expression turns to disgust, briefly enough that it was possible for Prince to miss it as just as quickly, a cunning smile appears beneath the Meowscarada's mask. As she speaks, her eyes flicker over to Maria several times.

Charade: “I did feel some regrets when I was a Floragato. But when I evolved into Meowscarada, it was because I wanted to. I haven't regretted my evolution at all since then! And, I found a family that loves me for who I am. Remember that, Prince! You're allowed to decide who your family really is.”

A controversial opinion perhaps, but I actually don't enjoy ethical AI art either.

Sure, if an artist wants to draw like 200 pictures and then train an AI to reproduce their style, they can do whatever they want. If they want to sell that and are upfront about it being ethically made AI art, whatever.

But the entire notion of automating art, something that makes humans uniquely us, something we've been at for millennia, for the sake of capitalism or production or time-cost saving or whatever, makes me sick.

kiwami 2 has plunged me into a vicious hell of "i just need to complete the cabaret club first" in which i viciously grind the cabaret club to level up the women and sit through visual novels i don't care about to level up the women to rack up unlawful amounts of cash that im going to dump into the clan creator to summon Some of the SR workers i need to complete the clan creator later. im still in chapter 5. im afraid im going to be here for a very long time

my only problem w tgcf so far is that its so fucking overwhelming to consume 😭😭

i’m on my second watch of the donghua (en dub this time) and its constantly just “wow you somehow missed this detail that was very important actually”

and then i am also reading the novel and thats opening another layer of information i was missing. xie lian’s brutal inner monologue aside it just gives so much more lore and worldbuilding while still keeping a relatively high pace AND also assumes you know common tropes within the wuxia genre which cant be helped bc it was targeted towards cn audiences but still figuring out what everything is in english is whack asf

then comes the manhua which i initially wrote off bc it was so confusing and in hindsight i think i was right for that bc w/o the context from either the donghua or the novel its hardly coherent. it makes huge ass jumps and it assumes you know the source material

so yeah this is an interesting journey for sure but its fun so wtv 😋😋
