ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS:

Ecaterina + romance is.... oof. Difficult, to say the least. She’s all rough around the edges, completely non-committal, and difficult to keep around. Really, the only way to get her to come back is to accept that she will leave whenever she feels the need to be on her own and simply let her go. That said, the best way to approach romance with her is via the friends with benefits route, which could develop into catching feelings for real. With Ford, I think an on-and-off sort of deal stretching over many years and with lots of history, but never anything Official ™, would work well!

For similar reasons as the above, she’s not a great friend either. But she is more likely to stick closer to friends than lovers. Especially if there’s some common interest there or they’re working together in some capacity. She gets involved in all sorts of shady dealings, so weapons trafficking is small potatoes lol

COMMENTS: they haven’t interacted yet so this is subject to change based on how they interact, but it’s hard to pinpoint a dynamic when she’s so detached from konoha, so, konoha elders don’t really interest her apart from maybe small-talk. i can only assume they have conflicting ideologies bc she has no loyalty to any village or Morals™, and he’s a Classic Hokage. but who knows !! she’s very social/talkative so shes open to small-talk if she happens to be visiting konoha. :^)

COMMENTS: i feel she only goes to konoha to visit friends, and then have reoccurring banter buddies/acquaintances whos faces are familiar, and she vaguely knows their names but barely know their lives. i find their dynamic to be on the comedic side, comedy relief mainly, but up for any sort of conversation since they’re both talkative people—but she will always be annoyed of his more pervy ways, so she’ll bite him any chance she gets. spray him like a misbehaving cat. i don’t see anything deep, nothing familial or within romantic interest. just, casual banter.

COMMENTS: casual conversation partner, she thinks he’s too nice to even be remotely antagonizing to and respects his kinda fatherly-nature. he doesn’t leave that much of an impression on her, apart from general respect (or as respectful as someone like mayu could be), so she’s fairly neutral.

more note: I love rem and machina but they can be actually devastating to each other since neither of them willing to admit their weakness to the other and that in the end make them lose communication and sadly fight each other as l’cies. i would love to explore if one of them, or the two realized that they are just being too stubborn and actually talked instead of ‘i will wait until s/he tells me what is wrong’ which is very sad. they are cute but the type 0 cycle was cruel to them. perhaps things could work out in different cycles. we have over 6million cycle to try all sort of relationships and ideas haha. but as i said in my rules, and i will say it again for good measure because i don't want to seem pushy with this, romantic shipping is nice if we both agree to it~ pwease i will kick machina to not bother rem. i promise lol.

*Rokurou most likely admires Velvet’s ambition and how she sets her mind to something; she’ll get it done no matter who stands in her way. Cool and sexy if you ask him, especially when she can stand sword to sword against him. Never forget he forgot MOST of his human feelings like shame and being embarrassing. Love is too different for him. i crossed out parental dynamics because despite my url, her being a mom isn’t a dynamic that i constantly want to write out anymore. it’s a dynamic people instantly want but it becomes old and played out for me personally ( also due to her husband dying / son leaving, any type of family dynamics isn’t desirable to her anymore within the context of kh ). should a bond like that happen to naturally develop between them then sure but i would rather not instantly go there anymore. so with that said, i do agree with you about how the parallels between them are interesting - specifically the one about the moon kingdom and replica earth in kh. i would imagine that if the moon kingdom is known to very few other people / worlds then replica earth would be one of the few places aware of its existence and…they probably don’t like each other or at least only reluctantly get along for the sake of the universe.

i’m mostly basing this off the relationship between the moon kingdom and earth during the silver millennium in sailor moon ( i feel like there had to be tension between the two even before beryl was influenced by metalia ). both kingdoms are highly different in regards to what the represent ( life vs death ) but also just aesthetically, ex. you aren’t going to see robots in the moon kingdom and i doubt serenity has even seen a skyscraper lol. so there were definitely be almost the equivalent of a culture clash i guess as they try to interact? i also think that she would more than likely see him as almost an equal, maybe not exactly but as close as someone’s going to get, due to their respectful stations. as a result, she wouldn’t treat or address him as a child because in her eyes she became an adult as soon as she became queen and it would be the same for him.

❛ I don’t . . . know how to place you. you’re scrappy and mean and big, but I kind of admire that as much as I hate to admit it. you don’t seem to die easy, but also don’t seem to know when to quit either. ❜

some plot ideas based off of the stuff above ! if it doesn’t fit what you want / how your muse would react then no pressure ! ♥

FRIENDSHIP. a circumstantial friendship is probably the most obvious one since he’s seen how ‘ fight-y ’ David is and he’s smart enough to know he can learn a thing or two about how his creator’s world works through watching him. Both when he fails and when he succeeds. But I think that may shift into being a more real kind of relationship after a while, even if he is frustrated by trying to understand David. He wants to pick at his brain and he has the impression that David may have the same sentiment, but he’s afraid of the punishment he may receive from the entity if he shares too much with him. Because of this and their clashing objectives and personalities, I think it’d be a rough start of a friendship but honestly, I kind of like the idea of them being at odds with each other and then gradually growing to be closer. Dynamic duo type thing. Also if he doesn’t let Oni climb up on his shoulders he’s gonna be sad, David tall and he wants the height to be able to see where the killer is and totally not because he just wants to be on his shoulders.

FAMILIAL. I’ve mentioned before that Oni could be capable of helping in wrangling the entity and freeing the survivors and killers, although this would take a lot of help and cooperation and would probably end with Oni barely surviving. Even if he did survive and the entity was killed he’d effectively be alone again, I’m not sure if it’d be within David’s character to be like “Well I guess this is mine now” but I did think it’d be a sweet idea if he kept Oni around and parented him a bit since he’s never had that. I think it’d also be a sweet gesture for the group to not totally abandon each other after escaping cause hey shared trauma amiright? and that would include the little hellspawn himself! who effectively has no home, no parent now, and no legal guardian. he wouldn’t really expect any sort of kindness still, even if he did just free the very people he was feeding on along with the entity he still fed on them. I think he’d be the only one in the group to just hover outside of it while they’re celebrating / relaxing now that they’re free, and just try to wander off out of embarrassment and total confusing on what to do now. I feel like maybe they could be kind of an endearing little family that struggles to find stability but does their best to take care of each other. Oni certainly isn’t easy to get along with at times with how bratty he can be, and how sensitive and anxious he is at being separated from people he latches to. I’d be aiming for maybe the vibe of a messy struggling but loving little family if that makes sense? Like they’re both Trying to be better and move on past the Entity and their own personal issues but it’s rough sometimes if that makes sense? So while I’m not sure if this would be a relationship you’re interested in or that fits David since he’s not mine and I don’t wanna be rude and force or assume, I thought it’d be a cute idea!

ANTAGONISTIC. Oni’s killer verse leaves him open to being a big pain in the ass to survivors. He doesn’t really take things too seriously, to him it’s all a fun little game and he gets to play over and over again and have the time of his life. However, David’s will to survive is a little too strong for Oni’s taste, especially when he doesn’t want the man who insulted his creator to be the final boy or last man standing! Going against Oni’s make-believe bullshit script makes him go absolutely ballistic, he goes from being much more casual and playful when he’s hooking something too full-on tantrum mode, which wouldn’t normally be a problem if he didn’t have the power and strength of an eldritch abomination. I think his stance on David would fluctuate depending on how much of a problem he is each trial, if he manages to outsmart him and sacrifice him then he’ll be pleased and nonchalant, no hard feelings from him of course. But if he’s a problem for his “vision” then Oni will definitely be a brat and just tunnel him. I’m so sorry David. For the most part though he’s kind of on the fence about him, he’s fun to play with because he’s so willing to fight to survive which makes for a good show and he doesn’t want him to completely give up because then it isn’t fun. ( which could be a fun avenue to explore if you wanted to since Oni does value every “actor in his script ) But when he doesn’t die when Oni wants him to he gets upset. Either way, he gets a lot of playful banter and one-liners, and he definitely brings out some of the most personality and raw emotion from Oni that he wouldn’t normally want to show. Overall he would be pretty unpredictable but it would be fun to see all of what that could spawn, like days where he’s “Just not feeling up to playing this game with you today”

hewwo! i just made everything i could see happening bold because i am not into the whole italics/bold/etc thing. general interest for me!

here are some ideas for you to consider:

i bolded childhood friends because if they are both in faerghus (i still don’t know where aries TECHNICALLY is but i suppose he can be from any place that is most fun for us) then maybe the low ranking noble couple rubbed elbows with aries’ more prominent family? and if adelaide and aries are generally the same age, maybe they were cute little toddler besties. and then adelaide disappeared and they generally forgot each other... except there’s a faint flicker of remembrance ... when they meet again at the academy...

i have yet to decide when aries technically sees his visions or activates his crest. i am headcanoning that for some dang reason the family mostly keeps the secrets of their crests to themselves ? it’s a very subtle crest, does not show itself except in brief moments of foreboding or anticipation (if minor) or visions that only they can see (if major), but also very powerful; i don’t think. they want ... people to know ? what their crest is? mostly because of the threat to them, and the potential for stronger powers than them using them to portent outcomes of conflicts and wars . UMM where was i going with this?!?!??!? OH YEAH

i think aries’ visions would have started (if they were the same age and went to the academy at around the same time (?) ) a few years after they first started seeing each other. so there’s loads of potential for them to be friends before then. he’s a bit of a rascal, but i think maybe being friends with adelaide would at least make him tolerable for a bit?!??!?! i could even see him growing like the tiniest hint of a crush.. but he wouldn’t act on it, because he’s dumb, and because i love unrequited things,

i could see after he gets the visions just, souring on her. if they care for each other, then he’d definitely try to push her away as fast as possible. whether she accepts it or is hurt by it or pushes back would be up to you! but i could see that happening

it would also be pretty cool for aries to see a vision of her death OR a vision of her fucking up some people by way of her crest flaring up again. maybe his vision of his death (i am always flexible on how he dies, i like the mystery) is about dying to fire! and then he sees adelaide’s crest bursting into flames and is like ah. and just tries to distance himself/pick on her even harder, because fuck, that kind of really hurts?!??!

betrayal is also really cool to me because i could see him easily getting recruited into the black eagles, and from there, into edelgard’s faction when the timeskip happens. he’s just so angry all the time, and though his family is firmly for faerghus, aries is the lost son, the betrayer... and i would love for them to see each other across the battlefield post time skip.. and if he saw a death by flame on his part, he might even make it an extra point to either avoid her (if he wants to live) or actively pursue her (if he’s decided he finally wants to die or thinks it’s his time)

hmm hmm!! those are my base thoughts so far. it’s subject to change as we get to writing, but i’m sure there’s a lot of potential here for adelaide and aries, and i am excited to get to writing with you!

yae!! outside of ayaka's like immediate circle, yae's one of the only characters ayaka speaks of so highly. which is neat and interesting. ayaka's careful in her choice of words towards though she is distant to and does not necessarily agree with. but her opinion of yae is warm, even if she doesn't necessarily know what she's thinking, especially in regards to the current climate of inazuma. so, i think there's a lot of potential and particularly a lot ayaka could learn from yae's wisdom.
