A subject that suddenly made itself prominent lately.

A subject that kept worming its way back into Hinozall's mind.

Something that he lacked. Something he never had.

Decades, no, centuries... no, millennia had passed since his existence.

An existence he had to shoulder alone.

...so why...? Why was now any different?

Just because he made a couple new acquaintances?

What a joke. Not even his employees counted as that very thing he lacked.

The reddish Yo-kai chuckled half-heartedly, his fingers slamming away at his keyboard's keys more than they had before. He needed to continue distracting himself. It didn't matter how much it felt like a new, agonizing wound had opened. He had work to do. After all, work was his passion, right?

Just keep working. This new wound will heal itself soon.

"That one is an extra; you can keep it. I can always make more."

He watched Venomous fiddle with the watch, though perhaps a demonstration was in order.

"Well, the best way to show how it works is to give an example! I'm going to vanish from mortal sight. I want you to use that watch to find me!"

Hinozall's tone was quite playful, and was accompanied by equally playful laughter as he vanished in a puff of purple smoke. He hadn't left... he was now simply invisible. ...that invisibility must have been coupled with not being able to hear him for the time being, either... the distinct sounds of his typing were oddly gone.

Yo-kai... Spirits aren't something he messes with too much. He... means spirits, right? Suppose it could be similar to calling Venomous a snake instead - it's not exactly truthful. Either way, it's a field that only crosses his mind whenever he has to engineer souls for clones - anything else about them is unknown territory. On top of it, there's the awkwardness of getting a gift. Mind you, he doesn't hate Hinozall - but getting a freebie from a stranger feels a tad odd. It's kindness. What has he done to deserve that? Are tours really enough? Standards must be low...

Despite his emotions and thoughts, however, he slowly reaches out for the offered watch. It's a useful tool, at least. Has a funny little power to it if he understands correctly - capable of seeing these creatures whether they want to be seen or not. To see what's invisible... "...Thanks," he said, slowly, then glanced down to the odd piece of technology. Sort of flashy... does the top part lift up? Huh...

Maya's got a new look

Continuing my trek of redesigning yokai watch characters for my Natsuki au. So next up is the fashionista who's one of the few background characters to have an English last name, Maya Skylar!

With her look, I tried to give her a gyaru vibe. It's a genre of J fashion I'm not well versed in, but wanted to experiment with!

One idea I really like for this version of Maya, is her being one of the few friends of the local occult geek, Zoey! Cause I remember a single frame in an episode of season 3 I can't remember, where the two were chatting with eachother!

The thought hit me the other day while watching a videogame top 10 list.

TMNT in the Fallout universe!

While a majority of my ideas more apply with Rise, there are still many that fit with other versions.

Now since there isn't a version of Fallout in New York yet, it leaves alot of room for interpretation. Like creating Vaults, what some places have turned into, how Mutants from TMNT might have been effected from the nuclear blasts, like near immortality? Maybe?

But I can also see Donatello stealing multiple different types of tech from basically everyone he thinks doesn't deserve it, lots of Power Armour and vehicles. The Brotherhood of Steel both want him on their side, but hate him because he doesn't think they deserve their tech either.

Raphael would have to be kept away from raiders, and various fighting rings, it's self explanatory. But this also depends on the version, some may just want to make a sanctuary for their families, and maybe any non hostile critters that won't cause trouble.

Leonardo depending on the version might just help with training the members of settlements that the Turtles watch over, and patrolling for anyone who might cause trouble.

If you follow the Medic Leo headcanaon they might make more advanced medicine, and ways to clear radiation, and drugs from peoples systems.

Michelangelo is a bit harder, maybe he acts as a cook for some settlements, maybe he watches over the kids at times. Or maybe he figures out how to fix a bunch of arcade machines, or game systems because he craves entertainment.

April and Casey depending on how you want to take it, maybe tmnt style mutants, maybe ghouls, maybe they watch over all of the couple descendants. But either way they watch over and help out, whatever you call the New York apocalypse, like as mechanics, protectors, if she would still want to April could still be a reporter, but face a weird mix of people listening who like or hate her.

Splinter would probably act as a leader, and teacher. Who might be a little close to smaking any of the other 'Leaders' who won't stop trying to spread misinformation about his clan, with the sharp edge of Leo's Katana.

Now as for the Foot, they would probably to preoccupied fighting off raiders, ghouls, super mutants, and the general hostile environment, to worry about the remains of the Hamato Clan.

The Kraang/Krang (depending on the version) probably gave up on Earth, and are bothering some other race in the universe. Maybe.

The Purple Dragons would probably be a fairly large raider gang, but moved far away from the Turtles territory if only to get out of range, and mess with some other people, like 2-3 states away.

Baxter Stockman all depends on the version, but I can see him also trying to get far away from the Turtles, probably on his way to being like the brains from the Big MT, or one of those other robots with a brain in them. Maybe like Mr. House?

With the Rise verse the whole Yokai thing could add an interesting layer to everything, but really I can see Big Mama still just running her Battle Nexus just toss in some Raiders, Super Mutants, Deathclaws, Feral Ghouls and general Fallout insanity.

As for the TMNT Mutants, well I don't quite know, maybe some side with the turtles, maybe they moved elsewhere. I don't know some of them well enough to guess.

Well since I'm not as familiar with Fallout, I don't know how much more to take this, but I welcome other to add, and make their own interpretations of TMNT in the Fallout universe.

The line of false lasers went right through him, before abruptly stopping as she landed behind him. As if the graceful twirl and landing finished the show of laser dodging dancing she had been doing. To say he was impressed was an understatement.

"Amazing! You know, I've not had anyone think of doing that before! If there is something you are good at, it's thinking of things outside of the box!"

"This is going to be fun!" she chimes in her feminine voice, bounding from spot to spot to avoid the beams. It seems she was very agile. Hand meeting the ground to toss herself back into the air to land in another spot. It was almost as if she was dancing graceful and fast to avoid the lasers.

It was almost like a game to her. But one thing to note, she was heading towards the Yokai. She leaps high into the air above his head with a twirl and lands behind him. "If there were real and targeting me, I would make them come to you too!"

@squiddiliusmckraken Ah, Terror Time. A strange plane of existence to be in. An alternate dimension that was parallel to the human world, except it was empty. And grey. And children, usually of the trouble making variety, sometimes unwillingly showed up here. It was kind of boring, Hinozall had to admit. Especially since he didn't get a single visitor.

He had simply subbed in for an "empty territory" for the day. Clocked in already, so he had to wait until he could clock out. It wasn't like he could leave... ...well, at least not Terror Time itself, anyway. No one was showing up here anyway. Why not have some fun and explore? He took his desk to the skies above, looking for anything interesting...

Before he could answer, the cold finally caught up to him. He shivered, realizing his current attire, while normally warm, really wasn't cutting it right now.

"Oh, um, excuse me one sec."

He typed on his computer, and glowing binary numbers surrounded him. A green light quickly enveloped him, and disappeared just as quickly, revealing him in much heavier, mostly black winter clothing, complete with a blue scarf that ended off like one of his desk wisps and a beanie that had his crown attached to it.

"Much better! Oh, right, that was a small taste of my power in action, wasn't it?"

He leaned over his desk, and beckoned the spirit that had been sitting down in front of his desk. The little simplistic spirit then rested on his beanie, making him chuckle as he settled back into his seat.

"So, everything that exists is made of code to me. As such, I can create anything, and manipulate that code to whatever I see fit! Aki here is one of those creations! My first, in fact!"

"Wait you wanna help, me? Dude, you must be outta your gourd if that is the case. But like if you are gonna offer like that sure. Though I am not sure where to like even start. But yeah, humans did this. All of this. They were sooo smart to put humans on other planets that were deemed hospitable then Bam! Snowy winter ice cap. Guess isn't not all bad. Just living in a bunker for so long can drive you mad."

Uzi explained while she was dumbfounded on how this guy really was that caring. Whatever happens in his world, wont find it here. Though getting off Copper 9 would be so much more better. Closer to destroying the humans. Now knowing they are legit garbage to them.

"Guess its safe to say once a human sees something that they want, achieve it, then throw the rest out. I can only imagine how people react to you Yo-Kai. Hearing that stuff from legend and finding out that its true. Though I am curious... What do you have to offer, like, help wise? All I see is you working hard at your desk. Do ya ever stop to catch a break?"

So I finally finished watching both 2012 AND Rise which means its time to make it EVERYBODIES problem. So without further ado, I introduce to you.... THE INTERCEPTED PATHS AU!!! This is an AU tying to post season 5 TMNT 2012 (canon divergent) and post Movie ROTTMNT (canon compliant mostly) Where Utrom forces have offered peace to the 12 verse turtles. As a thank you for stopping all know REACHABLE kraang across 3 dimensions out of 10, they offered to send them to a 2d universe where they could live in a sort of teenage retirement, a universe where they dont have to play hero anymore, somewhere to finally relax without the worry of death and destruction behind them. The turtles take this deal, gaining some base info like how there are alternate versions of themselves who are kind of a big deal so they cant go by their full names and how they'll be living in a hidden city full of other mutants or better known as Yokai. They get a small bag of currency, a lease to a small apartment, a dimension X portal to get back if they are needed or want to visit friends, and finally new nicknames and set off on the quest to finally be set free of the pain they new since they hit the surface at 15. Of course I have way more info and am VERY excited to share but I'll save that for chapter one on Ao3, or not, I have no clue i very much like to talk and probably will post more of this beforehand on impulse

So, since you've been enjoying the newest version of TMNT, I have to ask:

1) Have you seen the older Turtles Forever movie, a Turtles version of spiderverse.

2) Did you know there was a live action show of TMNT and they had a 2 episode crossover on an older Power Rangers show.

3) Also on that live action show they introduced a controversial female turtle. Which reminds me, I saw on YouTube that in a recent run of TMNT comics they brought back the 5th turtle as a possible clone/Frankenstein creation and in this comic, one of the Turtles loses their shell and had to get it replaced.

4) A thought that crossed my mind, how do you think the Turtles & April from "Rise" would react to a female turtle popping up?

Answer 1: No But I Caught A Few Out Of Context Clips Of Previous Cartoon Iterations And Mortal Kombat Cutscenes (Mainly 2012 And 2003) Via Both YouTube And My Uncle Being The OG Turtles Fan In My Family. I Also Watched The First Bay-verse Film Cause I Was Into The Transformers Movies At The Time And Was Curious.

Answer 2: No I Didn't But Honestly It Tracks Considering All The Things TMNT Has Officially Crossed Over With (Wonder If I Can Find Any Clips Of That It Sounds Chaotic)

Answer 3: Every Time I Learn Something New About The Comics I Get A Little More Confused, Not In A Bad Way, But Like In A "Do I Have The Funds And Bookshelf Space To Support A New Comic Book Obsession?" Kinda Way

Answer 4: As For How The Rise Bois And April Would React To A New Chica Turtle Really Depends Considering The Whole ✨Hidden City✨ Situation Ya Know?

Option A: She's A Turtle Yokai And She Could Be Chill Or She Could Be Workin With Big Mama Who Knows Endless Possibilities!

If She's On Chill Terms With The Bois (And Let's Say She's Got The Badass Ninja Mojo Too) I Feel Like Her And The Hamato Siblings Would Have A "Friends That's Slowly Turning Into Cool/Weird Cousins Status" Type Relationship. Cause I Can't Really See Any Of The Bois Going The Romantic Route, Puppy Love? Maybe But I Don't See It Going Anywhere (But I'm Also Bad At Writing Romance Stuffs So... *Shrugs*)

Now If She's Working With Big Mama On The Other Hand... Leo Immediately Gives Her Draxum Treatment, No Doubt. Donnie Will Prolly Follow Leo On This One And April Will Usually Join The Twins On Stuff Like This, She's Keeping An Open Mind But Thin Ice Man Thin Ice. Dr. Feelings Senses A Possibly Redeemable Person And immediately Becomes Her Worst Nightmare, No One Escapes The Doctor... Raph Is On The Fence About Her But Family Comes First, So First Sign His Family Will Be Hurt By Her And He's Throwing Hands.

Option B: She's A Turtle Mutant! Which Is Fun Because It Can Also Go Many Ways! Was She Human First Or Turtle First? Is She A Hamato (Turtle Mutated By Splinters/Any Other Hamato Members DNA)? Was She Just A Turtle That Ate An Ooze-Squito? A Human With A Pet Turtle/Works With Turtles And Got Biten By An Ooze-Squito? Did Donnie Fuck Around And Find Out Via Cloning??? Who Knows! Either Way My Brain Says Chaos And Feels! + If She Was A Turtle First Then The Bois Get A Mutant Person Who Understands What It Was Like To Not Originally Be Human, Which Can Go All Sorts Of Angsty Ways.

1. Finding my way home(and moving forward)

Out of sheer curiosity, Leonardo and Donatello looked up, and there it was.

A portal.

Had the Universe really taken pity on them? Had it really heard his desperate prayers for one more chance?

It was not like the ones they had seen before, it was an irregular circle made up of several shades of blue, completely different from the perfect and symmetrical pink triangles of the Kraang.

Leonardo and Donatello looked into each other's eyes for a few moments, "Should we go in?" Donatello asked, almost shouting, drawing the attention of the others, who quickly turned to the portal and to see each other, then the two brothers in question.

"It's our best bet, and our only chance," replied Leonardo.

Or rather, with the 2012 kids' home gone, they end up in the Rise verse after a strange portal shows up. Therapy is needed, and start the slow process of healing from their trauma.

2. Strawberry Cookies:

"Mikey here was just about to tell me what we could do to cheer Raph up while he's sick," Donnie says. "Mikey continue?"

Now that Mikey had both of his older brothers attention, he grins. "I was thinking we make strawberry cookies!" He does his jazz hands as he says this and is met with looks of something that he can only put as disapproval. "What?"

"You do know that everytime that we have tried to make it-" Donnie starts.

"We mess it up and Raph has to come in and save our butts from burning the cookies?" Leo finishes, "What would be different this time?"

Mikey huffs, "We are doing this so we can cheer him up and to prove that we can do something on our own!" he says, "That's what got Raph sick in the first place!"

Or rather, Raph gets sick after helping his brothers recover from the poisoned pizza puffs. Mikey, Donnie, and Leo take a shot at baking cookies for Raph while trying not to burn their kitchen down.

 3. Chicken Fried Rice:

“I only poured in half a pot of rice,” Donnie complained.

Mikey stared at him, really stared at him before he spoke. “You do realize that rice expands when cooked right?” he said, “You do realize that?”

Donnie was silent, looking away from Mikey.

“Donnie!”

Donnie makes chicken fried rice. Mikey watches over. Shenanigans and brotherly fluff ensue.

 4. Tea Time with Hortense and Patty: 

"Sooo," Raph starts. She's always been weird with awkward silences. "Are these grandma kinning hours?"

"Grandma hours!" Mikey exclaims excitedly. "Grandma time!!!"

"Ah, if it isn't our favorite girl and her little brother!" Hortense tilts her head over in their direction slightly. "Are you going to join us? We were just about done arguing," she says.

Today is Tea Time. Two old ladies have a tea party, one of them forgets to bring the food, and they are joined by Mikey and Raph. A good time is still had.

5. One of those Days

When Donnie woke up this morning, he woke up with the familiar thrum of anger and irritation running through his body with more intensity than normal. Rubbing the crust out of the corners of his sleep-addled eyes, he jerkily grabbed his phone and turned off the alarm. It's one of Those Days, Donnie noted. Those Days where Donnie isn't capable of handling Mikey's over-enthusiastic optimism or Leon's chaotic trickster nature. His safest bet is to hang out with Raph, his calm and mellow demeanor always helped calm down before Donnie went on a rage fest and say anything he couldn't take back.

Or, Donnie and Raph help each other out, balance each other, and make things a little less difficult.

 6. Gift Hunting: 

“It’s Leo. Tiny Leo,” the voice answers. “I need your help with something.”

“What is it?”

“I can’t say until you say yes first,” Leo says. “It’s really important though.”

Angelo is silent, weighing his options. He could say no, he really could-

“Please, Angelo, you’re the only one who can really help me with this,” Leo pleads.

Rather, Angelo and Leonardo go out in the streets of New York to help the blue banded turtle find gifts for his brothers' sixteenth mutation day. Bonding and fluff ensues.

 7. Aftermath:

“Raphie bear?” Mikey called out, gently tapping Raph, with relief washing him when Raph turned his head to face him. “What’s the matter teddy bear?”

“Th-thi-this doesn’t feel real.” Raph stuttered out, his voice cracking as a sob broke through. “I’m not really here. Neither are you and everyone else. I’m still alone with Draxum and his minions. No one’s coming to save me because I was stupid enough to get captured and no one wants such a worthless turtle like me.”

In which Raph was kidnapped and tortured by Baron Draxum and his family has to deal with the aftermath of it.

 8. To Be the Eldest

Donnie, the second youngest in his family, wishes he was the eldest for once. Then one night, Donnie gets his wish granted and now he was three small turtles in his care.

Donnie adjusts to being the eldest, comes to some realizations, and makes a promise to his (now) younger brothers.

 9. Wanted: Snaggletooth 

Dr. Noel bent down on his knees in front of Raph, a manic smile that showed too many teeth coming about on his face speaking of pain and suffering that has yet to come. He stretched out his hand towards Raph’s face, placing a thumb under his mouth, pressing into his snaggletooth. “Beautiful. Just as I expected,” he crooned, pulling out a syringe and injecting it into Raph’s neck, pushing the contents of the syringe into his system.

Raph’s eyes fluttered as he started losing consciousness, watching through hooded eyes as Dr. Noel's smile grew even wider, with his last thought right as darkness consumed him being that he hoped his family would find him before it was too late.

Post S2 Finale, Dr. Noel remembers Raphael, his snaggletooth, and manages to find and capture the red masked turtle. It doesn't end well for Raphael.

 10. Dimensional Differences:

They bow. Not like one of those pretentious bows like she would do at Yokai parties and not like the ones she would do with her brothers when they hosted tea parties. They bowed deeply, heads stopping at her stomach, one hand closing around their fists. This spoke of respect and honor.

And that unnerved her a little bit. Why are they bowing so deeply?

“Thank you,” they said in unison. It’s unnerving to April and she felt the uneasiness coming from her brothers too.

“Why are you thanking me?” She said finally, voice sounding foreign to her.

“You saved my life?” Baby Leo said slowly, voice tinged with confusion. “That was an honorable thing to do?”

April blinked, “It shouldn’t be considered honorable for doing what any big sister would do,” she said. “That’s not honor, that’s just being a good older sibling.”

In which April, Sunita, Casey, and the turtles end up in the 2012 verse after a mishap with Leo's ōdachi and stay with the 2012 turtles until they can go home. They find out a lot of things that don't quite jive with them. Some things are the same, some things are different and they're not quite sure how to handle those differences.

 11. Mind Meld Part Deux:

“Oh thank Galileo that you all are back to normal!”

“What do you mean we’re back to normal?” Raph questioned, pulling back from the hug. Mikey and Leo also pulled back to stare at Donnie. “We’ve-we’ve always been like this?”

Donnie went quiet. He shouldn’t have said that.

“Donnie, what did you do?”

The brothers found out about Donnie’s Mental Intelligence Reprogrammulator. Arguments are had, words are said, words that tear a rift between him and his family, and it’s up to Donnie to earn his brothers’ forgiveness. The only thing is, will he get it?

The 2003 turtles somehow, someway ended up in the Rise verse, with Rise Splinter and his turtle tots, and stay with them while the boys try to figure out their way home. 2003 Raphael got attached to his tiny counterpart the moment he laid eyes on the tot. (Raph centric)

 13. Dimensional Self-Isolation

Post S2 Finale, Raph finds himself trapped in the 2012 universe and has a difficult time coping with all of the differences that this world has in store for him. From new villains, unfamiliar familiar faces, and the way the 2012 boys and Splinter treat each other and him, Raph has a heavy plate on his hands during his long term stay.

i did also forgot to mention, level 5s management is like. real horrible

theyre entirely focused on yokai watch and are trying their hardest to catch that once-in-a-lifetime lightning in a bottle that was yokai watchs popularity in 2014 in japan, but because yokai watch has kinda. died. level 5 doesnt really know what theyre doing

there hasnt been any news on a new layton-verse game, no news on a new ni no kumi game (ignore the mobile game) (EDIT found out they took 3 years to port the 2nd ni no kumi to switch. ig), we havent even really gotten a new yokai watch game since 2020's y-academy game (released in 2020 btw), yokai watch has gotten its second anime reboot, still going strong in 2022 (first anime aired in 2013. btw. and this is ignoring the first reboot in 2019). and the "newest" inazuma eleven game that was supposed to come out in 2018 is still in development, aiming for a 2023 release

like. yea, level 5 will certainly die out in the next 10 years if they dont change anytime soon and start revitalizing their older brands before making new ones (or giving too much attention to one)

@masterporky has arrived for an interview! This child in front of him wasn't any sort of Yo-kai Hinozall had seen before... did he leave a rift to another universe open again? That being said, he knew almost immediately the kid wasn't from his world. He had not only lived long enough to know what his own world contained, but could also detect the strange boy's aura was foreign to begin with.

"Oh! An Otherworlder! What brings a kid like you to a place like this?"

"I see! So it's a combination of both! How intriguing!"

His smile then wavered slightly as Nikolai asked about the relationship between humans and Yo-kai.

"It's... a little rocky right now. While I hope for harmony someday, and Enma is working on trying to make that possible, we Yo-kai still can't really integrate with humans yet. Humans that are aware of Yo-kai don't always get along well with us, and plenty of Yo-kai have outdated views regarding humankind that Ancient Enma liked to push. That being said, I like to provide for both Yo-kai and humans alike. Humans aren't much different from us, after all... even if they lack the abilities and power us Yo-kai have. Some of us Yo-kai were even humans before!"

"Huh~? So these strange beings aren't demons~? How interesting~!" The man can't help but laugh at the pun. What an interesting guy!

The man wagged his finger, "Oh I have straight up MAGIC AND an ability~! The two are different from each other though. One is a super power, while the other is raw skills alone!" The Overcoat was his gifted ability. While his magic was straight up skills. Though even in a world of abilities, no one would know how he did it. Sometimes he'd use his ability to aid him in his magic, other times he didn't.

"So tell me, do humans and these... Yokai live together in harmony~?"
