The base was in celebration of course, rightfully so. Enjoying the time to rejoice in all they had achieved, all the work that had gone into everything they’d done. Luke did celebrate too of course, but he soon took a moment to go and see Y/n. He found her in the control room, sitting in one of the chairs looking over the vast maps and plans, nothing was going on of course. But… she still watched them like she expected an empire fleet to be about to appear. It broke his heart that she was still scared, but he couldn’t blame her, not after all she’d been through.

“Hey,” He smiled softly,

“Hey,” she forced a smile using her sleeve to wipe the tears,

“You okay?” He asked as he stepped closer careful not to move too fast,

“Yeah. I’m fine.” she lied,

“Y/n…” he sighed taking a seat beside her, “I know you better than that.”

She smiled softly, “I just… can’t escape the feeling this isn’t over.”

“I know it feels that way,” He nodded, “Honestly… I don’t think any of us will ever escape that feeling.”

She nodded sadly,

“But. Even if this isn’t over, we can breathe for now.”

“Yeah… I guess so.”

“And no matter what, I’m not letting you out of my sight.” He smiled taking her hand,

“You promise?” She trembled,

“I promise, Y/n.” He reassured her,

She softly smiled and gave his cheek a small kiss, "Thank you, Luke."

His heartbeat got a little faster, and he started to feel like there was a swarm of butterflies in his stomach. “I’m serious, I’m not anything like this happen to you again. I’m gonna make sure I don’t go a single day without seeing you.”

She laughed,

“I mean it, no more wandering off or disappearing. I’ll be keeping a close eye on you from now on. Got it?”

She nodded and leaned over nuzzled up into his neck,

Luke had… Never seen Y/n like this. But… He liked it. After all the years they’d known one another, everything he went through to bring her home when the empire took her. “There we go, see? You feel better in my arms, don’t you?” he half-joked,

"Hummm,"

He slowly reached a hand up and started to gently run it through her hair, and he looked down at her again, “I have a feeling I’m gonna be seeing a lot more of this now, huh?”

"Maybe …" She yawned,

He smiled and laughed a little. “What, are you about to fall asleep on me?”

"….maybe,"

“You know, I never knew you could be so soft like this.”

"hummm…" She grumbled her eyes closed as she drifted off to sleep.

Luke wanted this moment to last, but he knew he shouldn’t let her sleep there. He looked down at her and smiled, enjoying how cosy she looked. Soon, he realized she had actually fallen asleep. He carefully shifted his position, trying not to wake her, and gently picked her up in his arms. Holding her close to his chest, he took a moment to admire her as he walked back to his quarters. She looked perfect while sleeping, and he felt a strong urge to protect her. The thought of anyone hurting her again filled him with determination. He took her inside and laid her down in his bed.

As soon as he did, she curled up and squirmed to get comfortable.

Luke watched as she snuggled in the covers, and he couldn’t help but smile. She looked adorable all wrapped up like that. He sat on the edge of the bed, reached down, and gently ran his fingers through her hair. He watched her sleep, feeling mesmerized by her. Her hand in his, the way she looked peaceful, the covers around her, and even her soft humming made his stomach flip and his heart race. He soon found himself yawning. He took off his jacket and climbed into bed beside her, holding her gently.

As soon as he laid down, she buried her head in his chest and wrapped her arms around him tightly, like he was her teddy bear.

He wrapped his arm around her and held her close, with her head resting on his chest. He gently ran his hand over her hair as he relaxed with her, listening to her soft breaths. Soon, Luke fell asleep too, feeling content and happy with Y/n in his arms again.

Luke woke, a few hours later it seemed. To the sound of knocking on his door. He sat up rubbing his eyes trying to get his mind to focus. Finding he'd turned in his sleep and was now spooning with Y/n. And he was shirtless… He didn't know if maybe he did that in his sleep or … If Y/n did it.

The sound of the knocking woke him up quickly, and he took a moment to orient himself, he slowly got out of bed, leaving her on her own as he went to see who was knocking at the door. He opened the door and found Han standing outside.

"There you are. Where the hell did you disappear to last night?" He laughed,

“Sorry about that. I… got a little distracted last night.”

"Yeah? Cause you look like shit."

Luke laughed a little, running a hand through his messy hair as he looked down at himself. “Yeah, I know. Like I said, I was… distracted…”

"By what?" Han laughed trying to come Inside,

Luke quickly stepped in front of the door, blocking Han’s way, his expression suddenly turning serious. His protectiveness started to kick in again, and he was not letting Han in there. At least, not while Y/n was in his room. “Not by anything important. Listen, I’m busy right now, what do you need?”

Han raised an eyebrow and slightly glared. "What are you hiding?"

“I’m not hiding anything. I just… Don’t need you barging in like that, alright?”

Han immediately didn't believe luke. Obviously. And given he was so much taller and stronger he just forced the door open and stepped into the room. Immediately Han met Luke's eyes with a smirk, "I see. Very distracted."

The sound of which rose Y/n, making her sit up with her hair a mess, her shirt half hanging off one shoulder as she yawns and rubs her eyes. "Ummm Luke, come back to bed." She whined unaware there was anyone else there.

"so…who's this?" Han laughed,

Luke’s cheeks got a little redder, “Ah… this is… Y/n..”

"Ohh… so this is y/n." He laughed, "You had a busy night then."

Luke just turned bright red trying to hide his whole face behind his hand,

"Well, it was lovely to meet you, Y/n. But I'll leave you two to your morning." Han laughed giving Luke a wink before he left,

As soon as the door was closed he let out a deep breath and leaned against the wall in relief.

"Humm?" She grumbled still not awake,

“Don’t worry about it Y/n. He’s… just a dick sometimes.”

She nodded and laid back down patting the bed,

“So… you, ah… want me to come back to bed?”

She nodded making innocent grabby hands at him,

He smiled and couldn’t help but laugh. It was absolutely adorable, seeing her still being all sleepy and needy. He laid down beside her again and wrapped his arm around her, shifting to make sure they were both comfortable. He smiled again, still feeling a little sheepish but mostly just enjoying having her in his arms again. He ran a hand gently through her hair as he spoke “You know, there is something I think we need to talk about…”

"hummm?"

“You… kind of gave me and Han a little, uh, surprise this morning. You know, asking for me to come back to bed…”

"Mhm…"

“Yeah… he’s not an idiot, he pretty much knows exactly what’s going on now, after that little display from you…”

She shrugged,

“You, ah… you don’t care that Han knows about us, or is gonna be teasing us now, do you?”

She shook her head,

He smiled and chuckled a little bit, his hand still gently playing with her hair. “You don’t care that he’s gonna be making his innuendo jokes and all his… suggestive comments?”

She shook her head again. "Cuddles are more important…" She yawned,

He laughed, “Yeah, cuddles are more important, aren’t they?”

She nodded,

He smiled, and pulled her closer to him, wrapping her up nice and tightly. The way she was cuddling up against him, all needy and clingy… he loved it. He loved having her so close to him after being apart from her for so long. He knew she likely needed this more than he’d ever realize, after everything that had been done to her. He gently nuzzled his head against her, enjoying how soft and cosy she was in his arms.

She began to stroke her finger on his chest,

He let out a soft hum from her touch. “What are you trying to do, exactly?”

She didn't stop just speeding up her strokes she clearly wanted something but had made no mention of what she wanted,

He smirked, “You know I’m not gonna give you what you’re begging for until you actually ask for it.”

"kiss." She whispered,

He chuckled, and his heart did a little flip in his chest. The way she was asking for it, in that sleepy needy voice while she was all snuggled up against him, it was adorable. He held her a little tighter as he whispered back, “Where exactly do you want me to kiss”

she rubbed her forehead into his chest,

He smiled and let out a little laugh, “Ah, of course, your forehead, my apologies for not understanding your lack of words.” He slowly leaned his head down until his lips could reach her forehead. He gently planted a kiss there, letting it linger for a while before raising his head back u.p

She hummed happily and smiled widely,

“Was that what you wanted, hm? Just a little kiss on the forehead?”

She nodded

He laughed a little at her innocence. Gods, how was he this lucky to have her so sweet and clingy, practically begging for his attention all the time? Seeing her being so happy for that small thing just made him want to hold her even tighter and kiss her all over. “Oh, that’s all you wanted. Don’t you worry Y/n, you can have all the cuddles and all the kisses in the universe.” He cooed, “So long as I know you're here, safe in my arms.”

Luke stood as he always did, outside his uncle's moisture farm, looking out across the vast endless sand of Tatooine and its two large suns high for the afternoon. Bringing with them the endless inescapable heat. He sighed dreaming of a far-off distant planet, of travelling the endless stars, and as usual, his thoughts turned to Y/n. Who had jetted off with her parents to some distant place, every day he’d look up and wonder where she was.

Suddenly a loud whistle comes from behind him, and a Loud shout, "Farmboy!"

The voice was Y/n as she arrived at the farm on her speeder bike wearing her usual sandy brown jumpsuit and wrapping, with her Y/F/C hair in a braid down her back,

Luke turned around, his face lit up excitedly as he saw Y/n, "Hey Y/n! You’re here!"

She pulled up on her speeder bike jumped off and ran up to him, she jumped into his arms as usual kicking her feet, "I missed you!"

Luke chuckled as he spun her around, he held her tightly and hugged her close to his chest with a grin "Missed you too! It’s been so boring here without you around."

"I bet, it feels like forever since I saw you," she pouted nuzzling into his shirt

He nodded in agreement and held her close, "It has been forever, did you forget about me? Hmmm?"

"of course I didn't forget about you!" She chuckled as she pulled back putting her boots back in the sand, "I got you a present!"

Luke’s face lit up excitedly he raised his brows and tilted his head to one side, curious "You did? What is it? Gimme gimme!" And then he jokingly added, "Did you buy me a speederbike?!"

"you don't need a speeder bike that old cream and red land speeder works perfectly well" she laughs,

He grins playfully and rolled his eyes, jokingly acting offended as he places his hands on his hips "Hey! Don't talk about my speeder like that! It's a classic and it still works perfectly fine."

she rolled her eyes and grabbed a bag from the back of her speeder grabbing out something she hid behind her

He tilted his head to the side again and frowned in curiosity as she hid the second gift behind her, stepping closer to her, "Hey, don’t keep me waiting, lemme see what you hid!"

"you can have it... When I get something" she teased

He blinked in surprise and his frown grew deeper, he took another step closer to her and crossed his arms with an impish smirk, "What do you mean 'when I get something'? I’m not trading with you!"

she smiled moving her head a little to turn her cheek towards him, he knew what she wanted, what she always wanted.

He saw her smirk and smile, and he followed where she directed her head so she was presenting her cheek for him. He knew that smile, He sighed jokingly, "You always ask for the same thing."

"yep,"

He gave in like he always did and leaned in to kiss her cheek, He was whipped and she knew it, "There, are you happy now?"

she smiled before she whistled and as she did the tune seemed to be repeated behind her

Luke chuckled softly as she gave a kiss on the cheek too, but he frowned in confusion and curiosity as he heard the whistle get repeated by someone behind her

Luke tilted his head to one side, trying to see what it was,

she pulled the bag to her front and pulled it back revealing a small happy little droid, with one wheel, two little arms, and two big lenses on top, the droid seemed happy and eager to whistle a tune,

Luke's eyes widened in surprise and smiled, seeing the happy little droid whistling. He kneeled down to be at eye level with the droid "Woah, that's a little droid! Where did he come from?"

"found him During my trip, I figured I'd bring him back and let you have him he's a cute little guy"

Luke's face lit up even more and looked at Y/n excitedly, and then back at the little droid with a grin, "Are you serious? Do I get to keep him? He's like the cutest droid I have ever seen, look at him! Look at his little arms!"

"he's all yours, I've been calling him Weevo he seems to like it" she smiled setting the little droid on the sand and it happily ran circles around Luke's feet,

"I love him!" Luke was immediately attached to the little droid, he happily watched Weevo run around his feet while he smiled like a little kid on Life Day. "He's so little! And he's so cute, look at the little guy!"

"I'm glad you like him, maybe he can keep you company next time I go away"

Luke sighed and his face dropped slightly as she mentioned leaving again, he never did like it when she left. It was lonely here on Tatooine. And he wasn’t sure when she would return either but he didn’t want to stop her. He looked back down at Weevo before looking back up at Y/n, "Yeah, I suppose he can. Hopefully, you won’t be gone too long."

"who knows depends on how things go, but you know I'll always come back"

Luke gave a small nod at her words, he knelt in the sand with the little droid running in circles around his feet, he had to admit, at least this time she left with a gift "I just wish you didn't have to leave at all." He said with a pout.

"well, maybe one day your uncle will let you come with me" she smiled giving his temple a kiss as she sat down in the sand too,

Luke's face immediately brightened at the thought of going with her, adventures away from boring old Tatooine? Now that’s a thought he liked. He smiled and tilted his head back to look up at her, "Yeah! Maybe one day Uncle Owen will change his mind, or I can just run away..."

"wouldn't that be nice? You and me doing little trips, maybe I could even let you share my cabin" she chuckled nuzzling his shoulder, but as she did little Weevo noticed he wasn't getting attention anymore so moved and sat his little droid body between their legs forcing them apart

Luke laughed at the little droid forcing them apart like a child trying to get his parents' attention. He reached a hand down to pat the droid's head with a fond smile "Jealous little droid, are you?" He then looked back up at Y/n with a little smirk, "You know I wouldn't be able to keep my hands off of you if we shared a cabin."

"that's the idea, certainly would be some entertainment for the long trip" she cooed rubbing her nose on his

Luke hummed in agreement and his nose scrunched up at her rubbing her nose on his. His smile widened to a cheeky grin as he looked up at her with a glint in his eye, his hand moved from the droid’s head to her lower back and he jokingly tugged at it to pull her closer, "I’d be all over you, I don’t think we’d even get any sleep."

"funny thing about travelling in space, no days, no nights so... You don't really sleep" she smirked leaning in for a kiss

Luke was so close to kissing her but again Weevo interrupted them. He let a frustrated sigh, they would never get to kiss because the droid kept interrupting them. It was cute, but annoying. He looked down back at the droid with a pout "Come on little guy... give us a little privacy here..."

weevo moved away sitting in the sand and folding himself into a cube

Luke was surprised that he actually gave them privacy. He looked back up at Y/n and smiled, now that the little droid wasn’t in their way anymore he was able pull her fully into his arms again and press his body against hers. He tilted his head and looked up at her "Finally... now where were we...?"

"... Hummm I think about here?" She cooed rubbing her nose on his

Luke let out a hum of agreement and chuckled, his hands moved to her thighs and slid up beneath the hem of her jumpsuit, his palms resting against her legs. He let out a sigh and looked up at her with a smirk and a glint in his eye "Yeah, right about here... do you think Weevo will let us kiss this time?"

"guess we'll just have to find out" she shrugged

He knew the droid would start whistling again, but he didn’t care. He wanted to kiss her and this time, droid or not, he was going to. He suddenly let go of her legs and reached up to grip her waist and pull her down on top of him, he smirked and tugged her body flush against his, and looked up at her with a cheeky grin "Let's find out..." With that thought, and with Y/n straddling his hips on top of him, Luke lifted his head to capture her lips with his in a kiss

she happily kissed him back her hands trailing into his blonde hair as she straddled his hips and the two quickly turned a few innocent kisses into a heavy makeout, but it's to be expected given how long it had been since they were together,

Luke let out a hum of satisfaction at the feel of her hands in his hair, he loved it when she ran her fingers through his blonde locks. But he didn't care, he had gone six months without her. His hands slid back down her thighs to rest against her hips, he couldn't keep his hands off her, he wanted more of her

Y/n moaned into the kiss a little as their kisses grew heavier and heavier but -

This time weevo made a point to loudly sing a little wolf whistle at them

Luke groaned and pulled away from her lips with a frustrated sigh. He looked over at the droid, still sitting in the sand in cube form and he knew the droid was doing this on purpose. He scowled playfully at the droid, pretending to glare at it "Damn little droid... he’s cock blocking us AGAIN"

weevo sat in the sand wolf whistling at the two one little hand over one of its lenses like a kid hiding

Y/n chuckled nuzzling her head into his neck "Don't blame him he's just excited"

Luke sighed as Y/n nuzzled her head into his neck, he pouted and he wrapped his arms around her, his hands resting against her lower back as he held her still straddling his hips "Excited about what? That he's interrupting us every time?" He grumbled and gave the little droid another glare,

"he can't talk when he's charging" she hinted in a whisper

A slight sly smirk appeared he hummed in thought at her words. If he wanted to have her all to himself and not be cockblocked by a droid any longer, he had to do something about it "I see... and how long does it take for him to charge?"

"an hour."

A smile slowly crept across his face at her answer and he chuckled, he slowly pulled his hands from her hips to rest them against her butt as he smirked up at her It was just his favourite spot on her, he’s never got tired of grabbing it"An hour huh? That’s plenty of time to have you all to myself"

Y/n chuckled and slapped his hands away before she got up and grabbed her bag heading inside towards Luke's room "Come on you two" she cooed and Weevo immediately bolted after her

Luke let out an offended gasp as she got off of him and hit his hands away from her butt. But He quickly got up and stood to follow her.
