AME!! AME!!! AME!!!!
The parents!Harding fics were so good, they're some of my favorite fics ever and definitely my comfort fics 🥹🥹 I'm so glad I get to brainstorm with you about them, thank you a dazillion times for writing them so well, healing my inner child is what you're doing with them 🥹🥹🫶🏻

You don't know how happy I am to read this, I'm on cloud nine of happiness 🤩🥰. Thank you so so much for these lovely words 🥹🥹🥹
I love our brainstroming sessions and have been thinking about them all through the writing. I hope I've done them justice because it's thanks to YOU that I've been able to explore this trope/series and it's been so much fun (and I nearly cried too but shhh 🤭).
I send you lots of love 🥰❤️❤️

Another long post ahead, because I was thinking about what the audience wants to see vs what Emmerdale wants to show.
Fans: We don't want to see animal abuse on the show.
The show: Piper will be a continued focus in the story, this wouldn't be as much of an issue if we had picked an "uglier dog".
Fans: Please don't drag this Belle story out much longer.
The show: The story will go on for like another 6 months, i.e. it's only halftime really.
Fans: We don't like Vanessa and Suzy together.
The show: Vanessa and Suzy are moving in together.
Fans: But we want Charity and Vanessa back together.
The show: Charity is with her soulmate, Mackenzie.
Fans: Mary and Suzy have chemistry!
The show: Mary might get another love interest soon.
Fans: Please, no more (especially unplanned ones, it's 2024!) pregnancy storylines for a while!
The show: Ella will come back pregnant with Liam's baby.
Fans: But we liked Liam with Chas!
The show: See above answer.
Fans: We are interested to see what's next for Aaron, since you brought him back and built him a new set.
The show: Aaron will only appear in like 7 episodes between April and July. But then we might put him with Robert's brother.
Fans: It would be great if Seb was brought back to the village for Aaron to raise.
The show: Seb? We only mentioned him that one time to make Aaron understand that biological parents hurt more when children are taken away.
Fans: Good on Jai for getting revenge on evil Amit over Rishi's death, we loved Rishi.
The show: Jai will be punished, he's a bad person, he'll lose his wife and family over this.
Fans: Is Angel coming back with a new face after going to prison?
The show: No. Same face.
Fans: We need a bit more lighthearted stories.
The show: Lots of more hard hitting stories coming up still. We can certainly throw in some comical scenes featuring the show's best partnership Marlon and Paddy, or our best comedic performance winner, Mandy!
Fans: The show needs more Sugdens to counter all the Dingles.
The show: Ok, here is a new brother for Victoria (and Robert), but we'll make him gay, and the only other gay character in the village at this time is Aaron. But who will catch John's eye??
Fans: Would be cool if the show brought back some old characters for the 10 000th episode.
The show: We are honoring some past characters by dressing up scarecrows to look like them. You're welcome.

I already put this in the Trickstar post's edit, but the LIGHT Duelist Pack has apparently no 000th slot, so there are not going to be special reprints anymore in Duelist Packs. Everybody is going to get reprints based on their new cards now.
This means Animation Chronicles (which will likely retain it because of special Alternate Artwork cards), and current anniversary main sets (for the anniversary promos) are the only remaining sets with this 000th slot.
I guess this really is the start of a new Duelist Pack format. So... I guess if we get another DARK Duelist Pack, Ai, or Revolver will be the cover theme then.
I wonder what they will do with Deck Build Packs now. They are the only sets without an expanded card count, though they have been altered to be more reprint focused.

What if I cheated a liiiiiittle bit with my AO3 word count by going to my fic concept tag and turning the posts there into vaguely edited one shots
Just to help boost me towards the 1 000 000th word published
I'm 35 675 words short and I really want to get there x)
Other option: crossposting some stuff from ffnet, but this one would feel even more like cheating tbh :P
(... although it *would* get me there, I'm pretty sure)

In my experience, such big bargain price-tags generally come on superseded models which the V2 certainly wouldn't have been in June 59. So, would I be double-guessing that the inference is that these V2's weren't selling so well, hence the big discount? That's considerably more than the discount price of $74.50 that JDM's June 59 advert from Broadway Camera Shops shows. Thanks, guys, and a special thanks to Marc for posting those two Minolta Camera Co adverts from 1959 showing the V2's RRP was $99.95. So if anybody has any photo mags from the late 50s/early 60s with an advert for the V2 or V3 with prices, I'd love to see a scan of it. I've done a Flickr Picky and write-up about the V2 here in my Flickr Portfolio thing I've been unable to find, is just how much these Minoltas sold for. When you consider the comparative slowness of film back in the late 50s, that meant realistically only fast black and white film in bright sunlight situations.īoth the V2 and V3 had reliability problems with those high-speed shutters and were soon withdrawn, but they were interesting if flawed designs. Nothing comes without a price though, and in this instance it was that those high top speeds could only be used with small apertures of F8 or less. The V2 had the amazing top speed for a leaf shutter of 1/2,000th sec, with the V3 having an even more amazng 1/3,000th sec. The first of these rocketships was the meterless V2 of 1958 - 60, followed by the metered V3 of 1960. Things seem to have reached their, er, 'zenith' with the Minolta 'V' range introduced in 1958. Existing theory had it that 1/500 sec was the practical maximum, as seen on Compur Rapid and Synchro Compur shutters from Germany. Back in the late 50s, there was a strange speed phobia with some of the Japanese camera makers to get higher and higher top speeds out of mechanical leaf shutters.
