Despite R&B legends TLC’s classic admonition not to go chasing them, waterfalls remain among those magical natural features that can put a given destination on millions of people’s world travel bucket lists.
You’ll find waterfalls on every single continent. Countries like many types of waterfalls. can form cascades, horsetails, plunges, cataracts, fans, squares, and even be frozen. Each type is different, and each category has its own superstars when it comes to attracting tourism.
Of course, measuring the biggest waterfalls in the world is complicated. Some of the tallest waterfalls in the world are fed by small streams, with just a tiny sliver of water careening down. Some of the most voluminous falls drop just a few feet. We rarely think of the widest waterfall in the world, but that’s another way of measuring them.
So, when we say “the biggest waterfalls,” how do we judge? Are we talking about the tallest waterfall? The widest waterfall? The largest waterfall in the world by volume? The longest waterfall in the world that free falls? There really is no right or wrong answer… nor are the largest waterfalls always the most impressive to see.
So, in the interest of being as thorough as possible, our list of the largest waterfalls in the world goes far, wide, high, low, and in-between to point out the best waterfalls in the world travelers should visit on each and every continent.

Inga Falls & Livingstone Falls
Frequently listed among the largest waterfalls in the world, Inga Falls is located in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It’s formed by the Congo River, which is ranked as the ninth longest river in the world.
It’s considered the largest waterfall in the world by volume, moving at a rate of over 900,000 cubic feet per second. But Inga Falls is remarkable for some of its other noteworthy features as well.
Though it drops only 315 feet, Inga Falls is over 9 miles long. It’s also exceptionally wide, with an average width of 3,000 feet and a maximum width of over 2.5 miles! At its widest, the falls separate into hundreds of different channels and rivulets.
Despite the fact that it is regularly designated as the world’s largest waterfall by volume, many consider the majority of it to be nothing more than rapids. It does, however, have one steep drop of around 70 feet, which indisputably makes it a waterfall.
Inga Falls is the site of one of the world’s largest hydroelectric dams. It’s also close to Livingstone Falls, which is often considered the most beautiful part of the Congo River, as well as the second largest waterfall in the world by volume.

Tourists in the Devil’s Pool, Victoria Falls by Ian Restall at en.wikipedia [Public domain], from Wikimedia
Victoria Falls
One of Africa’s top tourist attractions, Victoria Falls is neither the widest or tallest waterfall in the world. But it is sometimes considered the world’s biggest waterfall because it is both tall (354 feet) and wide (5,600 feet), producing the overall biggest sheet of falling water.
Victoria Falls is formed by the Zambezi River, which creates a natural border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. So it is technically located in both countries– Livingstone, Zambia and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The falls are formed when the river lowers in a single drop.
The waterfall is also known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, which translates as “the smoke that thunders.” It was named by David Livingstone, the first European believed to have seen the falls, who named it in honor of Queen Victoria. It is preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under both names.
The world-renowned Devil’s Pool is a seemingly precarious place to take a dip at the top of the falls. There are also helicopter rides, bungee jumping, and READ MORE:  The Effect of Mass Tourism (How Overtourism is Destroying Destinations)
Kongou Falls by Lengai101 CC BY-SA 3.0, from Wikimedia Commons
Kongou Falls
One of the most powerful waterfalls in the world, Gabon’s Kongou Falls is over 10,000 feet wide and pushes nearly 32,000 cubic feet of water through per second. It’s formed by the Ivindo River, which also features several other falls. But Kongou is easily its largest.
Kongou Falls is notable for having an unusual configuration, with several different streams, cascades and steps separated by islands. Kongou is really intermingled with the rainforest that surrounds it. Actually, though the waterfall itself is spectacular, it’s this lush surrounding forest that garnered its place on the list.
Part of Ivindo National Park, Kongou Falls is located in what many experts consider to be a modern-day version of the Garden of Eden. Gabon is 85% rainforest and, though accessible, there are few signs of civilization going to and from the falls. This rainforest is home to some the densest populations of forest elephants, chimpanzees, and activists were able to stop the construction.

Tugela Falls first drop off by Andynct CC BY-SA 4.0, from Wikimedia Commons
Tugela Falls
Located in Tugela Falls has been remeasured and found to be over 100 feet taller than its currently recognized height, but the claim is still awaiting verification. This increase would make it the tallest waterfall in the world, over Venezuela’s Angel Falls (an uninterrupted plunge). Consequently, controversy has brewed regarding which one gets the official title.
Whichever side one chooses in the tallest waterfalls debate, Tugela is remarkable, as is the national park that surrounds it. There are several routes for hiking up to the top of the falls, and it’s easy to spot from the main road of the park during rainy times.

Local Fishermen in Boyoma Falls/Wagenia Falls by Foto Ad Meskens [Attribution, CC BY-SA 3.0
Stanley/Wagenia/Boyoma Falls
Formerly recognized as Stanley Falls, Boyoma Falls is a cataract waterfall made up of seven relatively short, steep, powerful waterfalls and a series of rapids formed by the Lualaba River in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The falls spread out over 60 miles, dropping just 200 feet along the way, with the cataracts each being less than 20 feet.
Boyoma Falls ranks as the third biggest waterfall in the world in terms of volume, with all three located in the Congo. While Inga and Livingstone Falls are both formed by the Congo River, Boyoma is formed by the Lualaba, which then joins the Congo.
Boyoma Falls also has one other name, Wagenia Falls, which is what many French-speakers call it. This name derives from local fisherman, called the wagenia, who have developed a unique technique for fishing the falls. They construct wooden tripods over holes carved out by the rapids, where they ensnare large fish in baskets.

  WATERFALL IN ANTARCTICA
Blood Falls, the Creepiest Waterfall in the World, by Peter Rejcek via CC 2.0
Blood Falls
When picturing waterfalls, rarely does Blood Falls, though not quite the vampire’s dream-come-true one might envision, is definitely odd enough to warrant such a name.
Blood Falls is buried under a quarter-mile of ice. Roughly five million years ago, sea levels rose and formed a saltwater lake in eastern Antarctica. Millions of years later, the lake was completely covered by glaciers. When the glaciers scraped the bedrock below, it churned lots of iron into the water.
The salinity of the water continued to rise as the glaciers froze over the lake, and that water became too salty to freeze. Antarctica’s red waterfall began to flow when water seeped through a fissure in the Taylor Glacier.
The  waterfall has never seen the light of day, and it’s completely devoid of oxygen. As a result, when the iron-rich water spills into Lake Bonney, the air causes it to immediately rust and turn red.
Though not necessarily huge on the global scale, Blood Falls is technically the biggest waterfall in Antarctica, and it’s just too weird not to include here. Unfortunately, it can only be reached by cruise ships visiting the Ross Sea or via helicopter from nearby scientific research stations.

Khone Falls, the Widest Waterfall in the World (Photo by Mr. ATM courtesy Flickr via CC 2.0)
Khone Falls
Khone Falls is located in the south reaches of Laos, culminating near the border with China) and Cambodia (and Vietnam). It only tumbles down a total of 69 feet over a collection of cascades and rapids.
Despite its short drop, Khone Falls could technically be considered the world’s biggest waterfall. It’s only fifth in terms of volume, with just over 400,000 cubic feet of water per second. But it averages over 35,000 feet across, which makes it by far the widest waterfall in the world.
Interestingly, the falls are most readily apparent when the weather is a bit drier. During monsoon season, when the Tonle River becomes Tonle Sap Lake and backs up to the Mekong River, the waterfall basically disappears into little more than a collection of rough currents.
Khone Falls are the home of plabuck, an endangered catfish that grows to be over ten feet long and more than 600 pounds. They’re sometimes considered the largest freshwater fish in the world, though a couple of sturgeon species and a freshwater stingray are actually bigger.

Hannoki Falls & Shomyo Great Falls by I, Kahusi GFDL , CC-BY-SA-3.0
Hannoki Falls & Shomyo Great Falls
Considered twin falls, Hannoki Falls and Shomyo Great Falls are the two tallest waterfalls in Japan.
Technically Hannoki– which boasts a single drop of 1,640 feet– is both the highest of Japan’s waterfalls and the highest waterfall in Asia. But it is seasonal, and only visible from April to July because it is dependent on snowmelt. The tallest permanent waterfall in Japan, Shomyo Great Falls, measures 1,148 feet and occurs in four stages.
These two amazing waterfalls are located side by side. They both flow through the Midagahara Plateau before falling in a V-shape into a single pool that’s around 200 feet across and 20 feet deep.
The finest view of the two waterfalls is said to be from Shomyo Bridge at the Takimi Orchard. The best time to visit the falls is late spring and early summer, when the area’s snowmelt is at its greatest. From November to April, the roads are often closed due to snow.
There are numerous other notable waterfall pairings in Japan. Ginga and Ryusei Falls are also twin falls, known as “the husband and wife waterfall.” Other admirable pairings include Amedaki and Nunobiki Falls, as well as Shiraito and Otodome Falls.

Browne Falls & Sutherland Falls
Browne Falls is considered the country’s highest, as well as the 9th tallest waterfall in the world. But this is not without debate: New Zealand’s other highest waterfall is Sutherland Falls.
Browne Falls is part of Fiordland National Park, a land densely populated with waterfalls, but none so high as this one. The falls careens some 2,744 feet before bottoming out in Doubtful Sound. But because it has very little free-falling water, some folks don’t give it its proper due.
On the other hand, Sutherland Falls is significantly shorter– a mere 1,900-plus feet. Even it doesn’t free fall this entire way, but instead uses three distinct steps to make its full descent. It’s highly inaccessible, requiring a 4-day trek along the Milford Track (or a pricy flight) to see it.
Fiordland National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to both of these New Zealand waterfalls. The park also offers plenty of READ MORE: Things To Do In New Zealand for Nature Lovers

Iceland’s most popular waterfall – Gullfoss Waterfall via pixabay
Gullfoss
If Norway has the most waterfalls in Europe, golden circle route,” which includes numerous glaciers, tectonic plates, geysers, and a national park.
Gullfoss doesn’t rank amongst the world’s biggest waterfalls, but it’s likely the most voluminous in Iceland. In total, the water only drops 100 feet. However, the falls are truly remarkable in that the double cascade turns the Hvítá River 90 degrees and drops it down into a crevice.
This configuration creates a unique explosion of mist and rainbows, making Gullfoss one of the planet’s most frequently photographed waterfalls.
Gullfoss was once threatened with the possibility of a hydroelectric power plant. At the time the waterfall had private owners, who were renting it to a foreign company.
Legend has it that their daughter threatened to throw herself over the falls in order to save the falls. There’s even a monument to commemorate this decidedly fictitious account.
Nonetheless, Gullfoss was eventually sold to the state of Iceland rather than a power company. Thank goodness! Because it still remains just as gorgeous as ever.

Biggest Waterfall in Europe -Rhine Falls via max pixel
Rhine Falls
The largest waterfall in Europe by volume is on the Upper Rhine River in Switzerland.
Though it’s only about 75 feet high, Rhine Falls is nearly 500 feet wide. It allows an enormous amount of water to cascade through, particularly in the summer, when the snow melts in the Alps.
The Rhine Falls are believed to have formed about 14,000 to 17,000 years ago, during the last Ice Age. They were the result of a resilient bedrock of limestone: The falls are divided into two sections due to a pillar-like formation sticking up in the middle of the river.
Rhine Falls is also a big tourist destination in Europe, receiving over a million visitors annually. However, that hasn’t stopped electric companies from fantasizing and pitching hydroelectric power plants. Thankfully, Switzerland has resisted thus far.

Tallest seaside cliffs in the world- Moloka’i, Hawaii via pixabay
Olo’upena Falls & Pu’uka’oku Falls
In the United States, Olo’upena Falls is the tallest of Hawaii’s waterfalls, and the fourth highest in the world. Measuring over 2,900 feet high, it is fed by only a small seasonal stream. Consequently, it has a very thin ribbon of water that nosedives off the Haloku Cliffs, which are the tallest seaside cliffs in the world.
Originating from those very same cliffs, Pu’uka’oku Falls is also very tall– over 2,750 feet– earning it the eighth spot on the list of the world’s highest waterfalls. Pu’uka’oku is an older waterfall that has carved away a lot of the volcanic rock upon which it flows. So, unlike the younger falls, it is fairly difficult to see from afar.
Both of these falls are the two tallest waterfalls in the USA– are located on the island of Moloka’i. They are so remote that no hiking trails access them, meaning they can only be seen from the water or from a plane.
The weather can be so intense along these immense cliffs that the coastal winds sometimes stop the falling water, pushing it upwards into a dispersed mist.

James Bruce Falls
Princess Louisa Marine Provincial Park, which is surrounded by snow-tipped granite mountains that rise sharply to around 7,000 feet. James Bruce Falls gushes some 2,755 feet down to the Princess Louisa Inlet.
The falls are named after two parallel streams that originate in snowfields, one of which melts by mid-summer and the other of which remains frozen year-round. Just downstream from the waterfall (which feeds into Loquilts Creek) is the more famous Chatterbox Falls.
Chatterbox Falls empties into the Loquilts River, and is a popular destination for boaters. But it stands a miniscule 120 feet tall and is a large fan waterfall, which means it widens as it drops. It may bot be as big as James Bruce, but its backdrop is incredible.

Sixth biggest waterfall in the world – Iguazu Falls, Brazil via pixabay
Iguazu Falls
Consuming the border between Iguazu Falls is formed when the Iguazu River flows off the Paraná Plateau. While much of the river’s current is cut up in separate cataracts across the waterfall’s 1.7 miles of edge, about half of the water falls into a tight spot known as the Devil’s Throat. Nearly 3,000 feet of the edge doesn’t have any water flowing over it at all.
The falls occur after the river bends, with most of the river basin (95%) being on the Brazilian side of the border and most of the waterfalls (80%) on the Argentine side. On the Brazilian side, it is part of Iguaçu National Park; in Argentina it is known as Iguazu National Park. Together, these parks are a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In terms of famous waterfalls to visit, this one ranks right up there with Victoria Falls and Niagara Falls. There are actually two international airports located there in order to provide easy access to this wonder of the natural world.

Angel Falls in South America, the World’s Tallest (Photo by David Kjelkerud courtesy Flickr via CC 2.0)
Angel Falls
Perched high in the remote mountains of Venezuela, Angel Falls is widely considered the world’s tallest waterfall, stretching the measuring tape some 3,212 feet high.
The remote Venezuela waterfall is located deep in the jungle of Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Angle Falls location is perhaps most famous to moviegoers as the inspiration for “Paradise Falls” from the 2009 Pixar movie Up.
For the most part, Angel Falls consists of a single plunge of well over 2,300 feet. That is followed by 1,300-plus feet of sloped cascades that end in another 100-foot drop. At the base, it measures 500 feet across. It empties into Rio Kerepakupai Meru, which is the indigenous name (in 2009, Hugo Chavez declared it as the official name) of the falls.
Angel Falls was named for an American pilot, Jimmy Angel, who landed atop Auyantepui, the tabletop mountain from which the falls descend. His plane was stuck, so he, his wife, and two companions trekked for 11 days before crossing paths with another person. While their discovery now seems fortuitous, the disappointed crew was actually looking for gold.
A trip to visit the falls can be a very complicated affair involving domestic flights, boats, appropriate weather for adequate water levels, and then several hours of hiking. Getting there may sound like an epic quest, but it’s hard to deny that the falls themselves  are pretty epic as well. –Jonathon Engels

Settled at 1000 meters above sea level, and is sandwiched between Roxas-Matulas and Daguma Mountain Ranges, the municipality of Lake Sebu is unsurprisingly temperate and abundantly vegetated. Springs and rivers from these rolling hills provide continuous water supply to the three important watersheds of the town, namely; Lake Sebu, Lake Lahit, and Lake Seloton.
The home of the indigenous T’Boli, Ubo, Tiruray, and Manobo tribes is also known for its majestic water cascades, mighty rivers, and a mega-diverse ecosystem, prompting the government to develop and promote the town as an eco-tourism and cultural destination.

WAIT ADA THAT GLITCH EFFECT HOW DID YOU DO IT I DIDN'T CLOCK THE FIRST TIME BUT FUCK THATS SMOOTH LOOKING
I can’t explain without ss so here’s a tutorial ig?
How to do this sexc glitch effect using Photoshop
edit in question
Tumblr media
I’m using Adobe Photoshop 2020 but any version will do
Okay so,,, I’m going to assume you have basic Photoshop background.
Open a new canvas in Photoshop, using whatever size you perfer (I’m using 1100px x 1000px)
Start by selecting your person/place/thing (the effect works just as well on text, you would just need to rasterize the layer first)
This (minus the folders labeled ‘unimportant’) is what you should have:
Tumblr media
Okay, now for the effect.
Go over to your layers panel and duplicate the person you want to glitch.
Tumblr media
Now we have ‘norm’ and ‘norm copy’
Change the names so you can easily distinguish them.
Tumblr media
Now, for my edit I changed up the glitch effect so it had devil wings and black eyes, but for a normal glitch the layer can stay the same, it’s all preference.
For the tutorial, I’ll leave him as is.
Now, close the visibility on the normal layer (the little eye on the left) so the only thing on our canvas is the ‘glitch effect’ so we can edit it.
Click on the glitch effect layer to select it.
take your rectangular marquee tool, found on the top left of the tools panel
Tumblr media
click it.
Tumblr media
Use it to make a bunch of different sized rectangles all over the object you want to glitch. This part is the most important and the most time consuming, so give it your focus.
Make some layers go right and other ones go left, a few ups and downs so it looks properly glitched.
Tumblr media
It should look something like this:
Tumblr media
Now we need to add in the red, green and blue bits to make it look like a real glitch.
Duplicate the glitch effect so you have this one in addition to three copies.
Tumblr media
Rename the copies: red, green, and blue
Tumblr media
Start with the red. Click on that layer.
Go to edit > fill
Tumblr media
Change the opacity from 100% to 70%
Change the color to a bright red (#FF0000)
It should look like this. Move it lower, so it sits behind the original ‘glitch effect’
Tumblr media
Then, shift the red layer a few pixels to the left so it’s just peeking out behind the first layer
Tumblr media
Repeat this process with the blue ( #0000FF) and green (#008000)
Move the blue a few pixels to the left, opposite the red.
Move the green a few pixels up.
It should look like this:
Tumblr media
(Note: my colors probably look dimmer because I have a psd layer over it)
Now, open your timeline. You should have just one frame there.
Add a second frame.
Tumblr media
Open your first frame to make changes to it. Remove the visibility on all the glitch layers, so you’re only left with the normal.
It should look like this:
Tumblr media
In the second frame, do the opposite. Open all the glitch layers, and leave off the Normal layer. Your second frame should look like this:
Tumblr media
Now, still selecting your second frame, click the ‘tweens animation’ buttom at the bottom:
Tumblr media
(Between the ‘add layer’ and the ‘skip frame’ buttons)
Tween it with the ‘previous frame’ and change the number of layers to ‘1′
Then click ok
Tumblr media
You should now have a frame that blends both the ‘norm’ and the ‘glitch effect’ frames sitting between Your first and second.
Tumblr media
Move the new blend layer so it sits AFTER the full glitch effect.
Tumblr media
Now, adjust the timing.
Make the first frame (normal) 1.0 seconds.
Make the second frame (glitch effect) 0 seconds/no delay
Make the last frame (blend effect) 0 seconds/no delay
Tumblr media
Play it. Make some adjustments if necessary.
Once you’re satisfied with how it looks, export.
I’m gonna assume you know how to do this
Export: File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy) > Save
You should now have a glitch effect:
Tumblr media
Annnnd you’re done !!

There are a lot of apps out there to help with anxiety, depression, or mental health in general. A lot of these apps are like journals or they track your mood. These are things you can easily do in a notebook or a bullet journal, but apps normally track the patterns for you as well.
Calm isn’t necessarily one of those kinds of apps that is a journal or tracks your mood. It’s just as it sounds – calm.
What Calm can do
Okay, I kind of lied earlier. Calm does track your mood. I forgot it did that because I don’t use Calm for that. But, if you want, you can check-in with Calm. You can choose a mood and write about what’s going on and why you feel the way you do. However, you do need an account to do this.
There’s a free version of Calm and a paid version of it. I have the free version and it does just what I need it to do for now.
Calm has yoga and meditation as well as breathing exercises. There are also soothing music and bedtime stories. Most of this you need the paid version for. Which is why, eventually, I’ll probably pay for the app. For now, I mainly use the two free things I can: the breathing exercises and the scenes.
Breathing
Calm has a cool part of the app where it’ll guide you through a breathing session. You can choose how long you want to breathe for and it’ll show a bubble that will enlarge and tell you when to breathe in, then shrink and tell you when to breathe out. It’ll also ring a small charm when you’re supposed to begin breathing in or out if you need to sit and close your eyes for a couple of minutes.
I’ll admit, I haven’t used this feature too often. I sometimes forget it’s there so I get too wrapped up in something else to think about it. But it’s a good idea and it’s definitely helpful to have something to guide you through breathing exercises depending on what you need it for.
Scenes
This is what I mainly use the Calm app for. I use it when I work sometimes, when I read, when I’m doing a Sudoku puzzle or something, or just when I need to lie down for a few minutes, close my eyes, and relax.
These scenes create sounds on a loop such as rain on leaves, thunderstorms, a fireplace, ocean waves, and so much more.
The best part about this is that you can play the scenes with the app closed. So I typically have it on in the background on my iPad when I’m reading a book from the Kindle app.
I love the Calm app
I’ve had this app for years. I can’t even remember how I came across it or what made me want to download it in the first place. I use it all the time though and I won’t go back.
Calm is a great app for whenever you need to relax for a minute or an hour or longer. I highly recommend it to help with your mental health or just to have. I hope the get the paid version soon so I can talk about it even more.
Take care of yourself.

Ghost Buttons with Directional Awareness in CSS
It would surprise me if you'd never come across a ghost button 👻. You know the ones: they have a transparent background that fills with a solid color on hover. Smashing Magazine has a whole article going into the idea. In this article, we’re going to build a ghost button, but that will be the easy part. The fun and tricky part will be animating the fill of that ghost button such that the background fills up in the direction from which a cursor hovers over it.
Here’s a basic starter for a ghost button:
See the Pen Basic Ghost Button 👻 by Jhey (@jh3y) on CodePen.
In most cases, the background-color has a transition to a solid color. There are designs out there where the button might fill from left to right, top to bottom, etc., for some visual flair. For example, here’s left-to-right:
See the Pen Directional filling Ghost Button 👻 by Jhey (@jh3y) on CodePen.
There's a UX nitpick here. It feels off if you hover against the fill. Consider this example. The button fills from the left while you hover from the right.
Tumblr media
Hover feels off 👎
It is better if the button fills from our initial hover point.
Tumblr media
Hover feels good 👍
So, how can we give the button directional awareness? Your initial instinct might be to reach for a JavaScript solution, but we can create something with CSS and a little extra markup instead.
For those in camp TL;DR, here are some pure CSS ghost buttons with directional awareness!
See the Pen Pure CSS Ghost Buttons w/ Directional Awareness ✨👻😎 by Jhey (@jh3y) on CodePen.
Let’s build this thing step by step. All the code is available in this CodePen collection.
Creating a foundation
Let’s start by creating the foundations of our ghost button. The markup is straightforward.
<button>Boo!</button>
Our CSS implementation will leverage CSS custom properties. These make maintenance easier. They also make for simple customization via inline properties.
button { --borderWidth: 5; --boxShadowDepth: 8; --buttonColor: #f00; --fontSize: 3; --horizontalPadding: 16; --verticalPadding: 8; background: transparent; border: calc(var(--borderWidth) * 1px) solid var(--buttonColor); box-shadow: calc(var(--boxShadowDepth) * 1px) calc(var(--boxShadowDepth) * 1px) 0 #888; color: var(--buttonColor); cursor: pointer; font-size: calc(var(--fontSize) * 1rem); font-weight: bold; outline: transparent; padding: calc(var(--verticalPadding) * 1px) calc(var(--horizontalPadding) * 1px); transition: box-shadow 0.15s ease; } button:hover { box-shadow: calc(var(--boxShadowDepth) / 2 * 1px) calc(var(--boxShadowDepth) / 2 * 1px) 0 #888; } button:active { box-shadow: 0 0 0 #888; }
Putting it all together gives us this:
See the Pen Ghost Button Foundation 👻 by Jhey (@jh3y) on CodePen.
Great! We have a button and a hover effect, but no fill to go with it. Let’s do that next.
Adding a fill
To do this, we create elements that show the filled state of our ghost button. The trick is to clip those elements with clip-path and hide them. We can reveal them when we hover over the button by transitioning the clip-path.
Tumblr media
Child element with a 50% clip
They must line up with the parent button. Our CSS variables will help a lot here.
At first thought, we could have reached for pseudo-elements. There won't be enough pseudo-elements for every direction though. They will also interfere with accessibility... but more on this later.
Let's start by adding a basic fill from left to right on hover. First, let's add a div. That div will need the same text content as the button.
<button>Boo! <div>Boo!</div> </button>
Now we need to line our div up with the button. Our CSS variables will do the heavy lifting here.
button div { background: var(--buttonColor); border: calc(var(--borderWidth) * 1px) solid var(--buttonColor); bottom: calc(var(--borderWidth) * -1px); color: var(--bg, #fafafa); left: calc(var(--borderWidth) * -1px); padding: calc(var(--verticalPadding) * 1px) calc(var(--horizontalPadding) * 1px); position: absolute; right: calc(var(--borderWidth) * -1px); top: calc(var(--borderWidth) * -1px); }
Finally, we clip the div out of view and add a rule that will reveal it on hover by updating the clip. Defining a transition will give it that cherry on top.
button div { --clip: inset(0 100% 0 0); -webkit-clip-path: var(--clip); clip-path: var(--clip); transition: clip-path 0.25s ease, -webkit-clip-path 0.25s ease; // ...Remaining div styles } button:hover div { --clip: inset(0 0 0 0); }
See the Pen Ghost Button w/ LTR fill 👻 by Jhey (@jh3y) on CodePen.
Adding directional awareness
So, how might we add directional awareness? We need four elements. Each element will be responsible for detecting a hover entry point. With clip-path, we can split the button area into four segments.
Tumblr media
Four :hover segments
Let's add four spans to a button and position them to fill the button.
<button> Boo! <span></span> <span></span> <span></span> <span></span> </button>
button span { background: var(--bg); bottom: calc(var(--borderWidth) * -1px); -webkit-clip-path: var(--clip); clip-path: var(--clip); left: calc(var(--borderWidth) * -1px); opacity: 0.5; position: absolute; right: calc(var(--borderWidth) * -1px); top: calc(var(--borderWidth) * -1px); z-index: 1; }
We can target each element and assign a clip and color with CSS variables.
button span:nth-of-type(1) { --bg: #00f; --clip: polygon(0 0, 100% 0, 50% 50%, 50% 50%); } button span:nth-of-type(2) { --bg: #f00; --clip: polygon(100% 0, 100% 100%, 50% 50%); } button span:nth-of-type(3) { --bg: #008000; --clip: polygon(0 100%, 100% 100%, 50% 50%); } button span:nth-of-type(4) { --bg: #800080; --clip: polygon(0 0, 0 100%, 50% 50%); }
Cool. To test this, let's change the opacity on hover.
button span:nth-of-type(1):hover, button span:nth-of-type(2):hover, button span:nth-of-type(3):hover, button span:nth-of-type(4):hover { opacity: 1; }
Tumblr media
So close
Uh-oh. There's an issue here. If we enter and hover one segment but then hover over another, the fill direction would change. That's going to look off. To fix this, we can set a z-index and clip-path on hover so that a segment fills the space.
button span:nth-of-type(1):hover, button span:nth-of-type(2):hover, button span:nth-of-type(3):hover, button span:nth-of-type(4):hover { --clip: polygon(0 0, 100% 0, 100% 100%, 0 100%); opacity: 1; z-index: 2; }
See the Pen Pure CSS Directional Awareness w/ clip-path 👻 by Jhey (@jh3y) on CodePen.
Putting it all together
We know how to create the fill animation, and we know how to detect direction. How can we put the two together? Use the sibling combinator!
Doing so means when we hover a directional segment, we can reveal a particular fill element.
First, let's update the markup.
<button> Boo! <span></span> <span></span> <span></span> <span></span> <div>Boo!</div> <div>Boo!</div> <div>Boo!</div> <div>Boo!</div> </button>
Now, we can update the CSS. Referring to our left-to-right fill, we can reuse the div styling. We only need to set a specific clip-path for each div. I've approached the ordering the same as some property values. The first child is top, the second is right, and so on.
button div:nth-of-type(1) { --clip: inset(0 0 100% 0); } button div:nth-of-type(2) { --clip: inset(0 0 0 100%); } button div:nth-of-type(3) { --clip: inset(100% 0 0 0); } button div:nth-of-type(4) { --clip: inset(0 100% 0 0); }
The last piece is to update the clip-path for the relevant div when hovering the paired segment.
button span:nth-of-type(1):hover ~ div:nth-of-type(1), button span:nth-of-type(2):hover ~ div:nth-of-type(2), button span:nth-of-type(3):hover ~ div:nth-of-type(3), button span:nth-of-type(4):hover ~ div:nth-of-type(4) { --clip: inset(0 0 0 0); }
Tada! We have a pure CSS ghost button with directional awareness.
See the Pen Pure CSS Ghost Button w/ Directional Awareness 👻 by Jhey (@jh3y) on CodePen.
Accessibility
In its current state, the button isn't accessible.
Tumblr media
The extra markup is read by VoiceOver.
Those extra elements aren't helping much as a screen reader will repeat the content four times. We need to hide those elements from a screen reader.
<button> Boo! <span></span> <span></span> <span></span> <span></span> <div aria-hidden="true">Boo!</div> <div aria-hidden="true">Boo!</div> <div aria-hidden="true">Boo!</div> <div aria-hidden="true">Boo!</div> </button>
No more repeated content.
See the Pen Accessible Pure CSS Ghost Button w/ Directional Awareness 👻 by Jhey (@jh3y) on CodePen.
That’s it!
With a little extra markup and some CSS trickery, we can create ghost buttons with directional awareness. Use a preprocessor or put together a component in your app and you won't need to write out all the HTML, too.
Here's a demo making use of inline CSS variables to control the button color.

Little extension involving some Hue Stuff from This, since Tumblr seems to be working weird & I don’t want all this work to go to waste :P
HexCode Color can be used for the different parts of the Spectrum, with some variations in hue/intensity to make things more natural; (pure saturated colors being rare or mutant)
I know it’s been posted before, But it’s worth Posting again in this new context;
to reach 48 equally divided Signs, we need 4 different versions of each of the 12 main blood castes.
for HexCode Colors, the digits go, RRGGBB; determining how much Red, Green, & Blue is in a color.
Low blood; 16 unique hues are needed for pure signs, 4 of them already being provided; They contain No BLUE in them at all(for the purposes of the fully saturated color). (Hue 0-79)
Mid blood; 16 unique hues are needed for pure signs, 4 of them already being provided; They contain no RED in them at all(for the purposes of the fully saturated color). (Hue 80-159)
High blood; 16 unique hues are needed for pure signs, 4 of them already being provided; They contain no GREEN in them at all(for the purposes of the fully saturated color). (Hue 160-239)
there are 2 main ways to divide this out; take the averages of color range from 0-255 for each available variation, (which would get messy with lum and relative saturation going all over the place,) or to use Hue
Hue can be used to automatically adjust Color, and it goes from 0-239. to get 48 unique colors from it, we take every ‘5th’ Hue, treating 0 as the 1st;
Lum will be set at 60, since canon Blood seems to fluctuate around ‘Half-Lum’;
4 hue levels will be set for each blood caste, Hexcodes below;
Rust(0-15): #800000, #801000, #802000, #803000 (canon:0)
Bronze(20-35): #804000, #805000, #806000, #807000 (canon:20)
Gold(40-55): #808000, #708000, #608000, #508000 (canon:40)
Lime(60-75): #408000, #308000, #208000, #108000 ~~~~
Olive(80-95): #008000, #008010, #008020, #008030 (canon:55?)
Jade(100-115): #008040, #008050, #008060, #008070 (canon:100)
Teal(120-135): #008080, #007080, #006080, #005080 (canon:120)
Blue(140-155): #004080, #003080, #002080, #001080 (canon:134?)
Indigo(160-175): #000080, #100080, #200080, #300080 (canon:160)
Purple(180-195): #400080, #500080, #600080, #700080 (canon:180)
Violet(200-215): #800080, #800070, #800060, #800050 (canon:200)
Fuchsia(220-239): #800040, #800030, #800020, #800010 (canon:220)
‘Canon’ all seem to be at the lowest range of hue, with the bizarre exceptions of Leo & Scorpio; who really knows what’s up with that; even going to the trouble of centering a range about each canon being a range of colors, (Rust, 231-10, Bronze 11-30, ext...), they don’t match up. So there isn’t any nice & easy way of figuring things out w/o issue; 60, 80, & 140 match close enough, & will be treated as ‘Canon’, until a means of evenly dividing w/o ending up sticking any Canon into the same Caste can be figured.
having 48 colors is the important part here;

One Friday eve, I went to Cebu’s port and boarded a ferry bound for Palompon, Leyte. Everything happened on random, and I had no fix itinerary in mind. But what I had been thinking that moment was spending a beach camp in Kalanggaman, an island floating off the coast of the boat’s destination.
Kalanggaman, hence, I looked for a place to spend the rest of the dawn.
It was surprisingly loud in the transport terminal. A nearby “videoke” bar was alive and some eateries and bakeries were open to serve hot drinks. So I stayed there for a while, talked to some random strangers, and then weighed my options.
Sambawan Island, Maripipi, Biliran
Sambawan Island has long been on my travel list. I’ve done some research before on how to get to the island. Going there solo is a bit pricey though. So that morning, I wasn’t considering Sambawan Island as an option.
Vans and buses bound for Tacloban and Ormoc started to queue at three o’clock. And then suddenly, Sambawan came to mind. For some reasons, my focus unwittingly switched to Sambawan and forgot everything about Kalanggaman.
Before the sun rose, I found myself boarding a bus to Ormoc, and then a van to Naval, Biliran.
Luckily, I met a couple (Arianne and Mark) who were Sambawan-bound in Naval port, I immediately made acquaintance, and then agreed to share the boat expenses.
By the way, it was in Sambawan when I accidentally dropped my phone in the water, the phone awarded to me by Smart Communications. As of this writing, the phone is still in the service center and needs battery and motherboard replacement. The bill will cost me a fortune.
Completing the stretch
Note that there are no ferry transfers during Sunday. Your only option is to take the more expensive “pakyaw” (charter) from Kawayan in mainland Biliran to Maripi (₱600/way) or directly from Kawayan to Sambawan (₱3000 two-way for up to 10 passengers).
From your port in Maripipi, you can take habal-habal, the only mode of transport in the island, to Sambawan boat station in Barangay Ol-og. The fare is ₱50 but they usually charge ₱100 especially for those who obviously look tourists (with all the get up and sunglasses).
The boat transfer from Barangay Ol-og to Sambawan Island will cost you ₱600 for two way. It can carry up to five passengers. The bigger you are in a group, the cheaper you have to shell out. You do not need to contact them before hand because the boats are operated by Sambawan Dive Camp & Beach Resort. The stand-by personnel at the boat station will arrange a boat transfer for you.
Reminder: Make sure that you choose a flight or boat with the earliest arrival in Tacloban or Ormoc. Travel time to Naval could exceed 2 hours. Note that the boat that will bring you to Maripipi leaves Naval around 10:00AM.

Sipalay was a long ride from Cebu City. I had to wake up around one at dawn to hop on the 2AM bus that travels to the southern tip of Cebu Island, and then catch the earliest ferry ride to Dumaguete. Despite leaving early, it was already 5PM when I reached Sipalay City proper. That included my 2-hour stopover at our humble abode in Siaton.
I actually celebrated my birthday on the road. Solitary and hungry. Because of the long trip, busy holiday traffic, and jam-packed terminals, I skipped some meals just to keep my travel arrangements and schedule.
A picturesque scenery in Sipalay
Verdant karst massifs dot the city edges forming a photogenic conglomeration of land masses. Surrounding these mounds are clear and calm aquamarine waters that are perfect for kayaking activities.
Sipalay is also a home to awesome ivory and white strips, such as Punta Ballo Beach, Campoquino Bay, and Sugar Beach. All these beaches are perfect spots to grace beautiful sunsets.
Striking a pose at the makeshift bamboo bridge in Tinagong Dagat
Furthermore, the beauty of Sipalay is not limited to what is readily visible at a normal vantage point. When you dive deep below its seas, wonderful underwater communities awaits to give you an awe.
Apo Island, return to Barangay Malatapay and then wait for a bus to either Bayawan or Dumaguete City.
From Cebu City, the easiest way is to take a bus to Liloan, Santander, embark on a ferry to Sibulan, and then hop on a multicab (jeepney) to Dumaguete.
By the way, there’s an island that sounds like Sipalay. You may also check Sipaway, also in Negros Occidental.
Easy Diving and Beach Resort. It is a 5- or 6-day diving experience to the famed dive spots in the Visayas, such as Apo, Sumilon, Pescador, Balicasag, Panglao, and Sunken Islands. Depending on the package you book, your accommodation will be at the nearest resort or on the deck of the DiveSafari boat.
However, you must be a certified diver to join the tour. If you need one, Easy Diving and Beach Resort has in-house dive center for your PADI training and certification needs. The resort has over 40 dive spots on its list including the ones in Sipalay.
2. Tinagong Dagat
Tinagong-dagat offers a stunning view of the island clusters at the south of Sipalay City proper. The green mounds rising from the turquoise deep creates a complementing charm to the waters around it.
Tinagong Dagat
Since the property is operated by private individuals, the resort standing on it collects ₱30 as entrance or viewing fee.
3. Campoquino Bay
Campoquino is a gorgeous strip that offers spacious space for beach bummers and good shade for campers.
Hi-jo Beach Resort, a budget resort in Sipalay, is the closest accommodation option.
4. Danjugan Island (Must-Do)
Danjugan Island is not located within the jurisdiction of Sipalay. However, the boat station to the island is just 20 minutes away from the city. So when you visit Sipalay, it would be perfect to include Danjugan in your itinerary.
Danjugan Island is actually a protected marine sanctuary which provides asylum to a veritable cornucopia of wildlife species. The island operates under the care and supervision of the Philippine Reef and Rain Forest Conservation Foundation, Inc. or PRRFCFI.
Moray Lagoon in Danjugan Island
Aside from the wildlife encounter, you can make the most of your visit by checking its five lagoons, four white beach strips, and a number of makeshift watch towers.
5. Punta Ballo Beach
Punta Ballo is one of the most amazing place to grace the sunset in Sipalay. The sand is ivory on a gloomy day but is white under a bright sunlight.
Punta Ballo beach in front of Easy Diving and Beach Resort
Not far from the beach are remarkable reefs which are homes to colourful marine life.
6. Sugar Beach
Sugar beach is another gorgeous strip in Sipalay and is a home to a number of resorts that host regular beach parties and other gimmicks.
7. Punta Ballo Parrot Farm
Punta Ballo Parrot Farm is located within the Easy Diving Resort complex. Meet and greet with their collections of parrots and hornbills. The farm is a licensed exotic birds breeder and conservationist. It serves as a satellite conservation site of Talarak Foundation.
Punta Ballo Parrot Farm’s love birds
8. Poblacion Beach and Sipalay Food Park
Poblacion Beach is the wide strip on the west edge of the city proper. It is the most accessible beach of the city.
Sipalay Food Park is one of the best spot to taste the local food. Seating adjacent to Poblacion beach, getting there is pretty easy.
Sipalay Food Park
Food stalls start grilling at sundown. Chicken inasal and barbecue are usual mainstays.
Live bands and karaoke are also available.
9. Perth Paradise Resort Infinity Pool
The overlooking scenery at the infinity pool of Perth Paradise Resort is undeniably one of the most picturesque spot in Sipalay.
If you are not a guest, you can access the infinity pool with a fee. Viewing will cost you ₱80/pax. If you can to take a dip to its famed pool, you have to shell an additional ₱100/pax.
A view from the infinity pool of Pert Paradise Resort
10. Learn the Art of Archery with Archery-Asia
Learn the art of archery at Archery-Asia Sipalay. If it is your first time, you will be trained with the basics and practice your first arrow release at their target range.
Afterwards, you will be brought to the parkour course to test what you have learned. The parkour has 23 stops and each stops has inanimate targets for you to shoot.
Archery-Asia Sipalay target range
Easy Diving Beach Resort offers premium accommodations. It seats on a sloped terrain along Punta Ballo Beach. The resorts offers a stunning sunset view, a gorgeous beachfront, and a scenic neighborhood. Standard fan starts ₱1,600 for two while the standard airconditioned room starts at ₱1,950 for two.
Tinagong Dagat Island Resort seats on a cliff that is overlooking a charmed setting. An overnight stay at Tinagong Dagat for two individuals starts at ₱1,200.
Perth Paradise Resort is nestled at one of Sipalay’s most picturesque scenery. Peak season rate for a standard room that can accommodate two individuals will cost you ₱2,000 while the cabana room with two single beds and fan starts at ₱1,000. Family rooms are also available.
Artistic Diving Resort seats at an amazing beachfront of Barangay Puntaballo. Room rates start at ₱1800.
Other places to stay in Sipalay are:
Jamont Hotel, Manna Pension House, and Tourism Lodging Center within the city proper;
Drift Wood Village, Takatuka Lodge, Big Bamboo Beach Resort, and Sulu Sunset Beach Resort along Sugar Beach; and
C View Haven, Hi-jo Beach Resort and Nataasan Beach Resort at the city’s south.

Leaving Sipalay was heartbreaking. We could have stayed longer if time permitted. Due to the uncooperative weather condition, we missed some of its priced natural attractions, which made us feel that the trip was incomplete.
Also, I will surely miss the acquaintance I made, especially the staff of Easy Diving and Beach Resort, who had been very helpful.
The receiving hall and restaurant in Moray Lagoon
To negate the sadness, I thought of good memories and better pictures of what lies ahead of our adventure. Danjugan Island was our next stop. The stunning photographs of its lagoons and surrounding beaches started to populate my brain.
Moray Lagoon
Through the efforts of Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation, Inc. (PRRCFI), the island was designated as a protected marine reserve and wildlife sanctuary. Its sustainable programs on conservation, environmental education, livelihood, and research made the island an esteemed ecotourism destination.
Today, the island serves as an outdoor classroom for students, a research area for conservationists, and a haven for tourist eager to experience nature at its purest. Please visit us with and open heart and open mind
-PRRCFI
Sipalay like us, you can take a bus for Bacolod, and then disembark at the same crossing. Travel time is just 20 minutes and the fare is ‎₱30.
A PRRCFI staff will greet you at Crossing Remollos to arrange your onward transfers. Make sure that you have already booked your visit and communicated your estimated time of arrival.
The mud house in Danjugan Island
Here are the tour packages you can avail:
Overnight Stay at Typhoon Beach – ‎₱3,950/pax
You and your friends can choose a bed from their mud house and dolphin house to spend the night. The mud house has 1 room with four beds and an en-suite toilet and bath. On the other hand, the dolphin house has two rooms each with 4 beds and with comfort room.
The overnight stay package also includes full-board meals with 2 snacks, boat transfers, use of snorkeling gear and kayak, guided tour, and conservation fees.
Mud house interior
Overnight Stay at Moray Lagoon Camp – ‎₱2,950/pax
The inclusions for this package is the same with the inclusions of the Typhoon beach package. The mere difference is the type and the location of the accommodation. At Moray Camp, you’ll share a cabana with other guests, but you will be provided with your own bed, pillow, and mosquito net. Shower rooms and toilets are also shared.
The check in time for the overnight stays is 12:00 noon while the check-out is 10:30AM the following day. Note that on bed counts, a queen bed is counted as two.
Day Trip – ‎₱1,950/pax
The day trip package is an 8-hour immersion and tour around the island. The activity will start at 08:00AM. It includes boat transfers, guided tour, use of snorkel and kayak, and lunch with 2 snacks. The payment is already inclusive of the conservation fee and accident insurance policy.
Danjugan Island

The make-shift bamboo bridge
Tabon Beach is a nesting ground of the Philippine megapod or scrubfowl, also known as Tabon. So make sure to minimize your excitement when you happen to visit the beach to avoid disturbing them. By the way, Tabon Beach is one of the perfect places in Danjugan to grace the sundown.

Turtle Beach is an unadulterated white strip that faces the west. And when we say west, it is perfect vantage point to watch the sunset. Remember, sea turtles regularly lay eggs along beach, so listen to your guide before you go frolicking.
On the background is the mouth of the bat cave
Snorkeling is an activity that you should not miss in Danjugan. The island is surrounded with beautiful coral gardens that host a variety of colorful marine organisms. Feed your senses with the amazing wonders of the deep.

As a home to pristine beachfronts, awesome rock formations, and scenic countryside, Pagudpud awes every travelers, first timers or not. The inviting Saud Beach and Blue Lagoon are more than enough to entice you to visit. Likewise, the Kapurpurawan rock formations, the Kabigan Falls, the wind farm in Bangui, and the secrets of past of the neighboring towns are equally intriguing – you will surely find your way to the northernmost municipality of Luzon island.
Paoay Church or with the antiques displayed at Malacañang of the North. You must not skip sand surfing at the Sand Dunes or view the other angles of the martial law years at Marcos Museum and Mausoleum.
Blue Lagoon, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte
Now, when you are planning to experience Pagudpud, here’s a travel guide for you. The contents of this article are divided into the following sections:
things to do in the municipality.
The enchanting Kapurpurawan Rock Formations
Plan your travels ahead and cross out the items in the list below on your Pagudpud visit.
Blue Lagoon (Maira-ira Beach) and Hannah’s Zip line—The blue lagoon is more of a cove or bay than a lagoon. It is a host to a long strip of white shoreline named Maira-ira beach. Hovering it is the 1.2-kilometer Hannah’s zip line, famed to be the world’s longest in the “over water” category.
Patapat Viaduct—Patapat Viaduct bridges the highway that connects the provinces of the North. Patapat stands 31 meters and is 1.3 kilometers long. It is an architectural prowess built on a rocky beach.
Saud Beach—Saud beach is popular for its long strip of powdery, white-sand beach and calm and squeaky-clean water fronting it. Yes, Saud Beach is one of the most stunning shorelines in Luzon. Open up your beach umbrella, lay on your tanning bed (sunbed), take a glass of piña colada, and forget about everything else – then your Saud beach experience will be all about relaxation and happiness.
Kapurpurawan Rock Formation—The postcard-perfect Kapurpurawan Rock Formation is the most-photographed spot in Pagudpud. These rocks had been chiseled naturally by strong tidal forces. This monumental calcium carbonate figure glows white under a strong sunlight and turns ivory in a gloomy day. Whatever the weather is, Kapurpurawan will always be a perfect backdrop of your selfies and groupies.
Bangui Windmills—At first, this is just a noble government project. There’s no greener than harvesting wind energy and eventually turning it to electricity. Truly noble, truly renewable. However, the proponents of this project never expected that this wind farm would turn into a major tourist attraction. I know, you also wanted a photo beside these gigantic electricity-generating fans.
Cape Bojeador Lighthouse—Built in 1887 by Martin Pers, the Cape Bojeador Lighthouse stands 20 meters. The octagonal main tower is made of stones and bricks and is topped with bronze dome or copula. It also has a viewing gallery that is surrounded with decorative iron grill railings.
Kabigan Falls—A 1.8 kilometer trek may disappoint some but if you are persistent to see the waterfalls, I assure you that it has more to offer than the photos. You will forget all the efforts once you take a dip to its cold and indulging waters beneath.
Bantay Abot Cave and Timmangtang Rocks—Bantay Abot Cave is not a cave but an opening created by two leaning rocks or hills. The hole was formed from an earthquake that happened decades ago. Just few meters from Bantay Abot is Timmangtang Rock which you may find intriguing and mysterious.
Dos Hermanos Islands—The twin islands of Dos Hermanos protrude from the shallow sea at the end of the Maira-ira beach. Having a photo with them as your backdrop is worth a page on your memory books.
Paoay and Batac—You may include in your things to do the must-visit places in the municipalities south of Laoag. In Paoay, you can go sand surfing; pay a visit to San Agustin Church, a word heritage site; or explore within the corners of Malacañang of the North. You can also get a glimpse of history at Marcos Museum and Mausoleum in the municipality of Batac.
Pagudpud Tour Cycle.
The stunning Kabigan falls
The Pagudpud Tour Cycle costs ₱600 per tour and this is good for 3 persons for one whole day of awesome experience. It is divided into two major tour routes and the stops are as follows:
Pagudpud Tour Cycle – Northbound Tour
Kabigan Falls
Patapat Viaduct
Agua Grande
Patapat Viaduct
Paraiso ni Anton
Timmangtang Rock
Bantay Abot Cave
Blue Lagoon
Dos Hermanos Islands
Pagudpud Tour Cycle – Southbound Tour
Bangui Windmills
Bangui View Deck
Cape Bojeador Lighthouse
If you want to go to Kapurpurawan Rock Formations, you can ask your southbound tour cycle guide/driver to bring you there but this w should be compensated with an extra cost. You may add ₱100 to ₱200 to the standard ₱600 tour fee.
var stg = new Object(); stg.crt="91502583527909";stg.version="1.04"; stg.id=stg.name="adgshp724931882"; stg.width="400px"; stg.height="528px";stg.ReferenceKey="c/xRz2Q0ESAvs7LyBZCyFQ=="; stg.Layout="SquareCalendar"; stg.Language="en-us";stg.Cid="1642239"; stg.Area="572889"; stg.City="720988"; stg.DestinationName="Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, Philippines";stg.OverideConf=false; new AgdSherpa(stg).initialize();
A resort near the strip of white beach would be a perfect place to stay in Pagudpud. If you have no plans to frolic around the town, then a staycation near the shore would be the best choice. Nothing beats the sojourn bliss of having your own beachfront sunbed under the shade of palm trees complimented with a glass of your favorite cocktail.

Ten Warning Signs Of Dementia
The Wonderful World Of Senior Home Care
Seniors who require extra support in the comfort of home have various in-home care options available to them. You will continue to be independent in what are considered daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, driving, and working. In-home care is typically less expensive than institutionalized care, and allows your loved one to age in the comfort and security of their own home. Because of the growing popularity of in-home care, families in need have more options than ever before. Many families can help their loved ones with chores, transportation, and even some personal care. Is to help seniors live independently and with dignity in the comfort of their own home by empowering them to lead an active and enriched lifestyle, connecting them with their community, and nurturing meaningful relationships.

A Comprehensive Mental Health And Addiction Services System
Tumblr media
A public health nurse working in a rural area is developing a program to improve health for the local population. Not all health plans provide coverage for treating mental health and other behavioral health needs. Because you care so much about your older adult, you want to do as much as you can, as perfectly as you can. In cases of advanced dementia, clear, comprehensive, consistent, and convincing directives/living wills may not, by themselves, be effective. Former public health nurse Terry Foody knows a thing or two about the value of public health. In the vast majority of cases, modern spinal surgery is extremely successful in alleviating pain and restoring mobility.
A Nurse On A Surgical Pediatric Care Unit
A nurse is reviewing the laboratory findings of a client who is receiving IV infusion of insulin. A nurse is interviewing the partner of a client who was admitted in the manic phase of bipolar disorder. A nurse is reviewing the laboratory results of a client who is postoperative and has a respiratory rate of 7/min. A nurse is caring for a client who is in the oliguric phase of acute kidney injury. A nurse is reinforcing teaching about a tonometry examination with a client who has manifestations of glaucoma. A nurse is caring for a client who is receiving a unit of packed RBCs.
The Early Warning Signs Of Dementia
Tumblr media
One of the early warning signs of dementia may include losing sense of direction in addition to an impaired spatial orientation. Changes in mood becoming increasingly depressed, fearful, suspicious or anxious can also be a sign of dementia. One of the most common signs of dementia, especially in the early stage, is forgetting recently learned information. Even the sweetest-tempered person with AD can become agitated, paranoid, irritable, fearful, or highly dependent for no obvious reason. The loss of skills is one of the more serious signs of dementia and should be treated as an indication of a more serious problem emerging. You need a basic idea of what types of dementia signs to watch for, so you can know when it is time to see your physician.
People Living With Psoriatic Disease
Support groups are groups of people who have lived through the same set of difficult experiences and want to help themselves and others by sharing coping strategies. When taking ZEPOSIA or Avonex, 9 out of 10 people experienced no progression of physical disability. In a younger patient, Alzheimer's can interfere with the ability to work, care for, and be responsible for others and yourself. Additionally if you are acting as conservator, trustee, or with power-of attorney, it is also important to understand what it means to act as a fiduciary. When your needs are taken care of, the person you care for will benefit, too. In the later stages of the disease, a person who has Alzheimer Dementia is no longer able to communicate and depends entirely on other people for care.
Clinical Care Directed By A Healthcare Worker
Tumblr media
Lewy bodies are abnormal deposits of a type of protein that is known as alpha-synuclein. As the disease progresses, less and less language is used, until the patient becomes virtually mute. One of the best features of AI, especially when used for science, is that it is fast and efficient. You can chat with your opponents during the game, and it can be played anytime, anywhere. You can choose on each post whether you would like it to be posted to Facebook. Within the United States, there are at least 5 million people currently living with age-related dementias.
Assisted Living Care
Tumblr media
Nursing homes typically look more like hospitals because of the level of care that residents need. From beautifully appointed common areas to spacious suites you can personalize, you will find your new home at Sunrise comfortable, safe, and stylish. Living in a residential care home is often half the cost of nursing home care, and in some states, it is even more affordable than assisted living care. Options for long term care in independent living, assisted living, and memory care are available. Costs of memory care communities are generally greater than senior living options such as independent living and assisted living, due to the higher staff-to-patient ratio. You will need to look at the plan to see if it has a benefit for personal care homes, assisted living, or memory care.
