To Morrow and to Speed

The one with Mr. Speed and Tomorrow and Tonight is again such a chewing gum affair as we had it already in comparable form with Sweet Pain and Down On Your Knees (1).

In this case the gum is supposed to be the intro and more or less the verse riff of Tomorrow and Tonight as well as the verse riff of Mr. Speed. And it's not really that a bridge is recycled or repurposed into a riff, but that here just a wishy-washy 0815 standard rhythm is shared among the two songs and chewed around by them in an alternating manner. To whom this is too disgusting, I can only say, this is all just a matter of familiarity and harmony with each other, and that of course it can always come more disgusting once real neediness should exist.

Of course, I could also note that in times of need the devil eats flies, if I consider under what time pressure the first Kiss albums were all created. But that would be first of all mean of me, and secondly, these are just gum with fly flavor, and they just chew on it and finally do not eat them.

But back to the harmony, on a musical level, there can't be any impression of distress here in the slightest, because there's nothing but the best mood and good vibrations to be perceived here, and that has to be emphatically credited to Paul. It's a bit like fate and when it offers you lemons and you're supposed to make lemonade out of them. Only with chewing gum. And flies.

And speaking of flies, or their lord. Paul isn't the devil at all (1), because as we all know, that's Gene. He confessed that years ago.

Finds immer krass wenn man so über die Verwaltung von Weimar ließt, dass das quasi Goethes Stadt war. Der Typ war Staatsminister und Geheimrat, Kultusminister (meine ich, bin aber Grade nicht mehr sicher ob das Amt wirklich so hieß), Wege- und Bergbaudirektor, Leiter der Kriegskommission, der Mann hat den Park an der Ilm mitentworfen und war am Bau der Fürstengruft in beaufsichtigender Position beteiligt (ebenfalls gesundes Halbwissen aus dem Bericht der Klassikstiftung. Der genaue Wortlaut entfällt mir.), Ministerpräsident war der glaube ich auch, sein Haus am Frauenplan hat er geschenkt bekommen weil die ihn unbedingt in der Stadt haben wollten, am Theater war er sehr präsent (Theaterleitung meine ich). Der Mann hatte (für damalige Verhältnisse) Geld wie Heu weil er einfach alles in dieser Stadt gemacht hat. Der Großherzog war sein Bestie. Sein Gartenhaus ist so gelegen dass er und der Herzog sich durch ihre Fenster verständigen konnten (erneut ungesundes Halbwissen von der einen Stadtführung die wir mit unserem Deutsch GK auf Weimarfahrt gemacht haben. Diese Frau war ein Engel sie hat mit mir fünf ganze Minuten über Marlene Dietrich geredet. Zurück zum Thema) und obendrauf war er halt auch noch irgendwie der lokale Aushängepromi. Wer ist Großherzog Karl August von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach ich kenne nur JoWo von Goethe.
