I’ve been MIA for several days, life has been a bit busy. Longer hours at work and for a change it was busy since deadline was up for classes, lots of testing and orientation, etc. Then I would come home and David was here already. Got some last presents and stocking stuffers. My mom asked my sister in Texas to get a couple of Christmas presents for the little man ( my sister has my mom’s credit card), she was stressing about it because it wouldn’t get here in time. I suggested to buy it via Target and I could go pick it up. At the end, I have many more present to wrap up.

Wednesday we went to David’s work Christmas party, however this was only for the department heads with their spouses or partners. It was at a small bar downtown, I don’t really know all of them but it was fun.

Our main campus sent some donuts on Thursday, cute Christmas donuts, too cute to eat! They got to work too early, good thing I had gotten there earlier than usual. They sent the Christmas donuts and regular glazed ones. I was good and had half of a glazed donut. Thursday was crazy busy.

Little man had his Christmas party at daycare.

David had bought tickets to go see a jazz group named Big Bad Voodoo Daddy on Friday. They’re a fun group and there was some room in the front for people to dance. It was completely full and I just kept thinking that so many people have covid around here.

Yesterday they had a small party for the little man who’s turning 3 tomorrow.

i need help to manage my budget... by help i mean 3 million euro sent directly from heaven i guess

#this is not even about The Economy and Housing Crisis this is like. my life and choices lately lol afjsahfjk let's see:#1. christmas gifts - i don't even know how much i spent on them because i had the flu and wasn't really thinking but let's say 1000 pln #2. trip for new years eve to the mountains - 2200 for hotel and then let's say 300-350 for food and stuff #3. bills like the internet and phone is 90; rent is 1100 #4. trip to warsaw 100 hotel 180 food and drinks 200 ?#5. meet and greet with simple plan 800 .... i will never recover sfshdfsj but it was kinda worth it - won't do that again tho #6. groceries since i am back 120 #7. and now i need to travel back home and it's like a cumulation because it was my dad's name day + my mom's birthday and their wedding #anniversary adsfhgsdjhsd so i need gifts again i mean i want to buy them something nice i already spent 180 pln but i will buy something #extra for each of them because i kinda want to because we see each other so rarely #8. public transport ticket for another month is 80 #9. i will have to pay rent again soon and the internet and phone #10. i have a wedding coming and like 37 concerts #to sum up. i am Fucked <3 but writing it out helped a little ;_;#i will eat concrete and drywall by march <3 #personal

I ordered a dog grooming (dryer) it’s actually a vacuum, it says that it’ll arrive on Thursday but I really hope it’ll arrive before Thursday, it’s already in Iowa, I wanted to try it on Lou before I leave.

I already got the hammock and it’s heavy duty and very nice. I think it’ll work great. I hope. I had one before but it was flimsy and didn’t work well.

Literally sitting in the dark on my bed at 6:37 am bc the only day of the week I didn't need to wake up at 5 i woke up at 5:15 anyway

Google having both II and Vessels names on the credits for Atlantic feels malicious I won’t lie.

37 Years Ago Today...

There are many phrases which ease the tension of a wedding rehearsal.

"Cuff keys? I thought YOU had them..." is not one.

There are many phrases used during the course of a wedding ceremony.

"One Ring to Rule Them All, One Ring To Bind Them..." is not one.

Not even when the wedding takes place at a Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention where the phrase "Hey, great hall costume!" from a small child suggests the small child has either Failed To Get It...

...or is Witty Beyond Their Years.

Don't use the phrase "Oh good, it IS you!" at this point...

... or "Will you marry me?" at this point.

Just get on with things.

We've been getting on with things for 37 years as of 10 AM Eastern Standard Time today, and we intend to continue doing so for a good few years more.
