I just wanted to share the list of crimes Kabuto Yakushi commited and the amount of jail time he would have been given, though i could only really calculate the average for each individual crime and the jail time for when it is commited once, so his total jail time would be much higher (though the death penelty sorta cancles that out) Oh, and i couldnt take in account how his exact situation would effect these charges but i hope Tumblr can forgive me for that. (Note: This is based off of the legal system in North America, and because im not familiar with the legal system in Naruto, this obviously wouldnt be accurate to how his crimes are canonically percived) 1. Assassination- Life in prison (the murder of the 3th Hokage, 4th Kazekage and it can be assumed may others. The fact that the was at least two political leaders could possibly add the charges of Regicide and Political Assassination.) 2. Grave robbing- 5 years in prison. (Collecting samples for the reanimation jutsu during the 4th shinobi war, and before then for other various purposes incuding the reanimation jutsu.) 3. Treason- life in prison (The attempt to join Danzo and overthrow the leaf village) 4. Child abuse- 10 years (As it was an extream case) (The exparimentation on, physical abuse, and medical neglect of Yukimaru and it can be assumend that there were other children whom were mistreated) 5. Desertation- Death penalty or life in prison (Abandoning his mission assigned by ROOT after his mothers death, the death penalty would only be used becuase of the fact that he left to join Orochimaru) 6. Terrorism- 20 years to life (The attack on the leaf, that one castle he and Orochimaru crushed with those snakes when they were looking for Tsunade, and many other cases) 7. Unlicesend surgery and medical treatment- 8 years in prison. (All of the expariemnts that required surgery along with all the medical treatment he provided to Orochimaru) 8. Abduction- 5 years in prison (but that seems low so idk if that right) (The abduction of Sasuke, Yamato, Yukimaru, and it can be assumed that there were many others, though most were done by Orochimaru alone.) 9. Mutilation- 14 years prison (The specific act of the mutilation during the expariments) 10. Theft- 2 years in prison (considering Kabutos situation, it can be assumed that he has commited theft on several occasions, though i can think of a specific incident) 11. Extortion- 5 years in prison (Of Tsunade, Guren, and most likely many others) 12. Abuse- between 2 years less a day or 10 years in prison. (The abuse of Yukimaru, Kimimaro, Guren, Gozu, Kigiri, kiho, Nurari, Ringi and most likely many others) 13. Fraud- 2 to 7 years in prison (All of the false claims and identitys he had throughout the years) 14. Unethical experimentation (outside of the 4th great ninja war)- 10 years in prison to life in prison (The expariments he did with Orochimaru) 15. Crimes against peace- (couldnt find an average sentence) Planning and excecuting the 4th Great Ninja War. 16. Espionage (outside of war)- a term less than 10 years in prison (all of the spying Kabuto did, including the double life he lived in the hidden leafe village) ---The rest are war crimes, and all the crimes against humainty--- -Attempted Global Domination- life in prison or the death penalty.

-Torture or inhuman treatment, including biological experiments (specifically in war) (this includes the charges of Torture, unethical expariementation, and all the other silly things Kabuto did during the 4th shinobi war) -Espionage (during the war)- most likely still a term less than 10 years (All the spying he did during the war) Thats all i can confirm, but im sure theres many others. that all adds up to 115 years in prison, 4 life sentences, and 2 death penaltys. (with some assumptions about how those individual crimes would actually be treated) Though, those aproximate sentences were if that crime was commited on its own, but i think its safe to assume that if those crimes were all prsented together, he would recive the death penalty. I shouldn't have been so stressed about today because it was honestly excellent. Besides being entirely to hot, it was a really good day.

I slept okay last night. I am still having issues with blankets and pillows and being uncomfy but it was fine. And when I woke up I actually felt pretty good.

James was laying on the pile of extra pillows and blankets on the floor. So I got to see their sweet face first thing. And I got washed up and dressed and they made a big fuss about how cute I looked and that made me feel very good. I had lots of confidence going into the day.

I got breakfast and had a good drive out to camp. I was feeling a little anxious still. But it ended up being totally fine. I got there at 930 and went up to the art building to deal with anything people left for me. Except they didn't leave me anything and I felt really annoyed. Just selfish behavior continues.

But I got some bug spray and a few thing so had left behind. And then went down to find out what was up. I knew I was doing ground elements but I wanted some answers about what the group was and ages and stuff.

I went and found Elizabeth and we chatted. The group is an organization that makes 10 year commitments to kids in underserved communities and pairs them with an adult mentor and it seems like a really great program.

I went to set up my stuff. I was already to hot but I was doing my best. I drank lots of water today. And tried to stay out of direct sun for the most part.

We were supposed to start at 11. So I had some time. I went and ate my breakfast sandwich. Walked around. Said hello to the groups adults that were there setting up and putting up cute decorations. Buddy the dog, the cleaning lady's dog, was wandering around and he's such a good boy. Oldest and chunkiest dog. He will push you over if you don't pet him.

We were supposed to meet at the feild at 11. I needed to go get a walkie. So I headed over there. Only to get word that there was a change of plans. And the bus was still not here. So we were on stand by.

I was asked if I wanted to sort the lost and found and I was like. Yes please. So I started working on that. And I was having the best time. I folded all the clothes and towels. Sorted all the objects. It was a great time honestly. I had my podcast on. I was sorting and feeling good.

But the group would come eventually. And it was decided they would become 3 groups instead of 4 and we would push the programs back until after lunch. So I had time to waste until 115.

I had my little lunch. And watched some videos. Chatted with Heather about my fall plans. With my interview tomorrow and the wedding coming up! And just some art idea I'm kicking around. Like printmaking with Legos dots. And she was very supportive and that was really nice.

I went up to the art building to chill there. My hammocks we're up obviously, but I chilled at the picnic tables. I was going to sit in my car but it was in the sun and got to hot. Ah well.

Finally I got to go with my groups. I with with Dachelle as a co but she would mostly be running around helping make sure the other groups were good. And that was fine with me.

I honestly think this was my best go at ground elements and low ropes. I would only end up having two classes and the first one has a little trouble because a few people didn't want to participate. But the second group was so fun. And we had lots of laughs and excitement.

We would start each program with a team activity called 'kings fingers' where they have to move a tire, that has 6 12 ft ropes tied to it, and get it over three wooden stakes that are different heights. After they completed that we went to whale watcher. Where they would balance as a group on a giant seesaw. The first groups longest time was 35 seconds, and the second group got 1 minute and 8 seconds! Amazing. Apparently though at camp this year a group of 8 year olds balanced for a half hour. Which is absolutely wild.

After that we did the low ropes. Which I probably broke some rules but we had spotters and everyone got across and for real it was my favorite part. I love walking across the right rope and I also like showing off how to do a little rope climbing. Using those circus skills a little bit.

Finally we would go over to the tipis feild and do the a frame walkers. Where someone stands on a wooden A frame and then there are 6 ropes that the group uses to hold them up and help walk down the field. And they struggled but they worked hard and were able to get it done. And they were all super excited that they were going swimming after that.

I walked them towards their cabins, because they are staying two nights, and then went to the office to check in. I chatted with the group about how camp is and their program. They are really nice! I hope they are having fun out there tonight.

At the office I got a snack and decided to go sit at the pool with the group. Watched them struggle to try to pass the swim test. Only 3 people did!! Which is wild. I just laid on the pool deck with my legs in the water and that was really nice.

I didn't know what's else to do with myself so I just chilled at the pool. My next program should have been at 5. But right before that Heather texted that they were canceling the evening program. And that we would still get paid but could go home early.

Excellent. Don't have to tell me twice. Well you do because I went to confirm with Elizabeth and then with Heather. But I was still excited to get out of there. I said goodbye to everyone and went up to my car.

I texted James and then called them. I decided to stop at target tonight so I wouldn't have to go tomorrow.

Target kind of stressed me out though. I was very sun tired despite my work to stay out of the direct sun. I got each of the new Halloween keychains from the dollar spot and I love them all. I put the ghost one in our car hanging from the mirror. And then I was able to find the Legos I wanted for my printing idea. I did not find any cake like James asked me to bring home. But that's alright.

I was a little overheated and frustrated. But I would get home in one piece. Even if I had to drive directly into the sun. I hate driving at that time of day.

But it ended up being perfect because as I was parking Mr Will was there!! I haven't seen him in forever. We chatted and he walked me inside. Asked if he was invited to our wedding. And of course now he is. Because I love Mr Will and I didn't think he was interested but he was like. Of course I am. So now he has an invitation. And also is going to come over tomorrow to fix our counters that broke. Love Mr Will.

And Brandon was here when I came home. Always fun to have people. Brandon was so sweet though and was encouraging my printmaking idea. And he was asking James about our honeymoon plans. And when he heard we were going to possibly fly to our first destination he said his wedding gift to us is paying for our flights there and back. Blown away by the kindness there. Thank you Brandon.

And then I was working on this print making idea. I will for sure need a lot more Lego dots but so far it absolutely works. I think the link will be the resetting and cleaning between participants but I think that will be okay. I am going to look into more dots for prices but I am really excited to try more and get this down as a real project.

James and Brandon watched a movie while I had dinner and did some of my knitting. My hands don't hurt as much tonight. But I lost steam and didn't want to do it anymore after one row. I'll get caught up soon.

I got cleaned up and have been chilling with Sweetp since then. Brandon left a little while ago. And me and James are in bed. I am ready to sleep.

Tomorrow I want to do a lot of art. And I have my zoom internet at 1. I am a little nervous but this very much feels like if I get it I get it. It won't be heartbreaking. I have a lot going on right now, lots of things in the works. And it just feels good to be moving forward after a long summer.

Taylor Swift’s Lyrical Traffic Violations, Ranked

As Taylor Swift continues the slow but steady release of her re-recordings with Red (Taylor’s Version), we’re able to collectively revisit some of her early work through the lens of her discography as a whole. In doing so, there are certain recurring themes or tropes that become apparent, like forbidden romances, colors representing emotions, and the worst driving imaginable. Anyone who’s either a Swiftie or a crossing guard is sure to have noticed just how often Taylor sings about these illegal traffic maneuvers. And after nine albums of this, it’s reached a point where I finally begin to understand why the gay antagonist in “Picture to Burn” didn’t let her drive his “stupid old pickup truck.”

That being said, when really examining these violations with a critical eye, it becomes apparent that most of them were actually committed by the men driving Taylor around. Amongst this “long list of ex-lovers,” there are some reckless drivers, some who make minor mistakes, and some whose licenses should be revoked. The trend has slowed down as of late, suggesting that Joe Alwyn is a very good, responsible driver, whose time behind the wheel is not interesting enough to sing about — thank God.

Here, we rank every traffic violation in Taylor Swift’s discography, considering factors like severity of the infraction, danger level, and importance to T. Swiftian canon. But much like the way traffic cops do their jobs, the reasoning is mostly arbitrary and made up.

15. “Our Song” (Taylor Swift)

“He’s got a one-hand feel on the steering wheel, The other on my heart”

The first thing they teach you in driver’s ed is to keep your hands at ten and two, and yet here Taylor is driving around town with a boy who only has one hand on the wheel. Their “song” is going to be the sound of sirens if he doesn’t get his act together.

14. “Red” (Red)

“Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead-end street, Faster than the wind, passionate as sin, ending so suddenly”

Whether it be a new Maserati, or a pre-owned Toyota RAV4, it is never a good idea to take off full speed down a dead-end street. Particularly if it’s not even a cul-de-sac and you’ll have to do a three-point turn to get out. Now, to be fair, there’s some room for debate on just how fast she’s going since it depends on wind speed. The average wind speed in Taylor’s home state of Pennsylvania is 17.1 mph, the highest wind speed ever recorded on Earth is 253 mph, and the speed of “The Wind” by Cat Stevens is 115 BPM. So do with that what you will.

13. “State of Grace” (Red)

“I’m walking fast through the traffic lights”

Traffic lights, per their name, are famously designed for cars — not pedestrians. So Taylor has absolutely no business galavanting through traffic on foot like a regular Kelly Killoren Bensimon.

12. “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” (Reputation)

“Feeling so Gatsby for that whole year”

Much like Taylor Swift’s discography, The Great Gatsby is also about terrible driving, which I assume is why she relates to it. I know this because I not only read The Great Gatsby in high school, but I also saw the Fergie-scored film adaptation. A cornerstone of both versions is vehicular manslaughter.

11. “betty” (Folklore)

“Kissin’ in my car again, Stopped at a streetlight”

Folklore’s “betty,” “august,” and “cardigan” are a trilogy of songs about loitering told from three different perspectives. The bulk of this love triangle seems to boldly take place in parked cars. In “august” for example, Taylor sings, “Meet me behind the mall,” and I highly doubt that they were grabbing an Auntie Anne’s and hitting up a Macy’s One Day Sale. In “betty” and “cardigan,” they don’t even wait until they’re concealed behind the safety of a closed down DSW, instead opting for a spot under a streetlight of all places.

10. “Cornelia Street” (Lover)

“But then you called, showed your hand, I turned around before I hit the tunnel”

Given that this song is about a street in one of Taylor’s favorite lyrical neighborhoods, the West Village, it’s fair to assume that the tunnel in question is the Holland Tunnel. Those surrounding roads are a nightmare, so I’m nearly certain that this would have to be an illegal U-turn — which I think is a fair leap to make given her history of vehicular crime. That being said, this might just be the most understandable violation given the choice was between Joe Alwyn and Jersey City.

9. “Fearless” (Fearless)

“I wanna stay right here in this passenger seat, You put your eyes on me”

Taylor gets a lot of flack for writing songs about boys she dates, but doesn’t get nearly enough heat for distracting them while they’re trying to drive. This is just one of the many times that she prides herself on being more interesting for a driver to look at than the road.

8. “Style” (1989)

“Midnight, you come and pick me up, no headlights, Long drive, could end in burning flames or paradise”

Thematically, 1989 is an album about Harry Styles being bad at driving. The first of many examples of this is here in his namesake song, where he picks Taylor up with no headlights on. Clearly an attempt to sneak around undetected, it’s actually just a surefire way to hit a deer — ESPECIALLY at midnight of all times. At least Taylor seems to know from the jump the dangers of getting in a car with Harry behind the wheel, understanding that the long drive could potentially end in burning flames.

7. “Cruel Summer” (Lover)

“So cut the headlights, summer’s a knife”

Well it looks like someone didn’t learn her lesson about driving in the dark. Here it sounds like she’s trying to corrupt former frozen yoghurt shop employee Joe Alwyn, instructing him to turn off their headlights to keep a low profile. Still, it’s nothing compared to the far worse crime of this song, which is that it didn’t get a music video.

6. “Breathe” (Fearless)

“Never wanted this, never wanna see you hurt, Every little bump in the road I tried to swerve”

Roads have a lot of little bumps, and if you’re swerving at every single one you’re a danger to society and your driving is sure to give poor Colbie Caillat whiplash.

5. “Getaway Car” (Reputation)

“You were driving the getaway car, We were flying but we’d never get far.”

I mean, what is there to say about this? Getaway cars very rarely are known for their safe, law-abiding driving. The song even references other crimes, like putting the money in the bag and stealing the keys (grand theft auto?), mentions of famed criminals Bonnie and Clyde (who tried to steal Moonlight’s Oscar), and worst of all saying “sorry” with a Canadian accent so it rhymes with “story.”

4. “Style” (1989)

“So it goes, He can’t keep his wild eyes on the road”

Speaking of wild eyes, somebody tell Olivia Wilde to never get in the car with Harry — we still need her Kerri Strug biopic.

3. “Out of the Woods” (1989)

“Remember when you hit the brakes too soon? Twenty stitches in a hospital room”

As any history buff knows, in December of 2014 Taylor Swift and Harry Styles went on a ski trip to Park City, Utah, with Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. It was on this fateful trip that the One Direction singer and future Cats star got into a snowmobile accident, resulting in Harry getting 20 stitches on his chin. Taylor later told Rolling Stone that she saw her life flash before her eyes, which I can understand because if I were in an accident I would also see Taylor Swift’s life flash before my eyes. The incident is shrouded in mystery, with Taylor urging the witnesses not to tell anyone about it, so we may never know what it was that caused Harry Styles to brake too soon. Perhaps a stray Chelsea boot in need of a home.

2. “All You Had to Do Was Stay” (1989)

“All I know is that you drove us off the road”

Why did this woman continue to let Harry Styles drive her around? What kind of adrenaline-junkie death wish did she possess?

1. “All Too Well” (Red)

“You almost ran the red ’cause you were looking over at me”

Jake Gyllenhaal might as well have been using the scarf that Taylor left at Maggie Gyllenhaal’s house as a blindfold, because this man was NOT looking at the road. When one drives down a little town street, especially with the precious cargo of America’s songstress in the car, it is key to watch where you’re going. Skidding to a halt because you didn’t realize that the light had turned red (the TITULAR color)? Unacceptable, Donnie Darko. The “crumpled-up piece of paper” that he made Taylor feel like was probably a traffic summons. Along with the release of Red (Taylor’s Version), we’re also finally getting the mythical ten-minute version of this song, and I truly shudder to think about what other traffic crimes Jake Gyllenhaal will commit in those extra four minutes and 33 seconds.

1. Why did you choose your url? Keladry of Mindelan is one of my favorite Tamora Pierce characters and one of my favorite fictional characters in general. When I was picking a url that felt like one I would be comfortable committing to, she was the obvious choice. 

2. Any side-blogs? If you have them, name them and why you have them. Technically I do, but they are all defunct so don’t really count. The closest I have is approximately 8 million rp blogs but they aren’t side blogs to this account. 

3. How long have you been on tumblr? Late 2011/Early 2012. Yes, I’m aware that I’m coming up on a decade of this. 

4. Do you have a queue tag? Nope! 

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place? One of my new college friends introduced me to tumblr bc it was the home of Sherlock fandom and at the time I was deep in on that. Then I just never left. 

6. Why did you choose you icon/pfp? One of my other favorite movies is Syfy’s Alice. Alice and Hatter are such a sweet couple, and that almost kiss gets me every time. A friend of mine made the icon for me and I’m so crazy grateful its so pretty. 

7. Why did you choose you header? Book with magic and flower? It’s very on brand for me haha.

The Groom’s Side—pt. 2

CS Genre: Canon divergence from 6x20

Emma smiled a she leaned back against the door, her heat lighter than she remembered it ever being. She was so in love she nearly ached with it, and tomorrow she got to declare that love before all of her family and friends, she got to make a commitment to the man she loved that would last for all eternity. A few years ago she wouldn’t have believed a love like this existed, she wouldn’t have believed happiness like this existed, but a surprise visit from Henry several years ago had changed her entire world. Now she had love, family, a home, a place to belong, a place that not only tolerated her presence but actively wanted her.

It was almost too much to take in.

“You must be thinking about Killian,” Henry said, rolling his eyes as he stepped up before her.

She grinned at him before ruffling his hair.  “What makes you say that kid?”

“That look on your face,” he said.  “If it were any more sickly sweet, I’d probably get tooth decay just from looking at it.”

Emma laughed.  “Hey, can I help it that I am so happy I’m about to explode?”

“Yeah, don’t do that,” Henry sassed, “it would be a pain to have to clean up.”

They were silent for a moment, before Henry abruptly reached up (not so far up anymore) and hugged her. “I know I complain about you and Killian being all lovey-dovey and everything, but I’m happy too mom, and I’m really glad to see you happy.”

Emma kissed his forehead before letting him go.  “Thanks kid. I really am.  Anyway, we better both head to bed.  Big day tomorrow.”

“Okay,” Henry said, turning toward the stairs before abruptly turning back.  “Oh, I almost forgot!  I heard back from them a little while ago.  Operation Groom’s side is a go.”

Emma’s heart swelled. About a week ago, Henry had met with her and her parents to discuss an idea he had for a wedding gift for Killian, a gift from all of them.  It had been unorthodox, to say the least, and something that no one in the world but Henry could have done, but they’d all enthusiastically agreed.  After all, everyone deserved to share their most important moments with the most important people in their lives, didn’t they?

“He’s going to love it, Kid,” Emma said, emotion in her voice.  

A few minutes later, Emma laid in her bed, hoping to fall asleep right away.  The sooner she got to sleep, the sooner she’d wake to her wedding day.  But after tossing and turning for fifteen minutes, she finally gave up, turning on her bedside lamp.

It was just no use. Without Killian here, the bed was too big, too cold, too lonely.  It should scare her how important he’d become to her, but it didn’t.  If Killian had shown her anything, it was that he was never going to leave her.  Even death hadn’t succeeded in keeping him away.

The only thing, apparently, that could keep him away from her was a stupid wedding superstition. Emma huffed out an exasperated breath as she reached for her phone and swiped at it until she’d reached his phone number.  Her finger hovered over the little phone icon, indecision filling her.  She wanted to talk to him, needed to talk to him, but should she call him?  Did talking to the bride before the wedding risk bad luck too or was it just seeing?

Before she could make up her mind, her phone began to ring, and the butterflies fluttered around Emma’s stomach as she looked down to see the photo she used as Killian’s contact. Apparently she and her True Love had the same idea.

“Hey,” she said.  “I was just thinking about you.”

He chuckled.  Hello love. As it turns out, I’m always thinking about you.

“So apparently we’re not risking bad luck by talking?”  She asked.

Wouldn’t matter if we were. He said.  I just needed to hear your voice, needed to be near you, even if it is just through this talking phone.

Emma laughed.  “Killian, have I told you lately how much I love you and your old man ways?”

As they continued to talk, Emma settled back in her bed, smile back on her face.  The thought that she had an entire lifetime to spend with this man was quite possibly the best thing she could imagine.

Killian’s wedding day dawned crisp and clear and utterly beautiful.   He took a brisk walk along the shore before heading to Granny’s for his morning repast.  He was happy, happier than he’d ever been, but try as he might, he couldn’t banish the small kernel of sadness in his heart when he thought about how much he wished Liam might be with him today.

He took a deep breath and slowly let it out as he boarded the Jolly and headed below deck to his cabin.  He wouldn’t dwell on what couldn’t be changed.  He had to believe his beloved brother was looking down on him today, was with him in spirit.  That was enough.  That had to be enough.

He’d been in his quarters for no more than fifteen minutes when he heard a quick knock.  “Killian, can I come in?  Gramps sent me over with a tux for you to try.”

Killian grinned, letting his soon-to-be stepson in.  “Aye? And does your grandfather have better taste than your grandmother?  That white monstrosity the Lady Snow left for me this morning was truly an abomination.”

Henry laughed, hanging a garment bag on one of Killian’s cabinets and unzipping it to reveal a fully black tuxedo.  “This more to your taste?”

Killian looked it over carefully, before turning back to Henry.  “Aye, that will do nicely.”

“Thought you might like it,” Henry said, his voice a bit distracted.

Killian noticed that the lad kept looking to the stairs.  “Anything the matter Henry?”

“What?  No!  Why should anything be the matter?”

“You look quite agitated, lad,” Killian said, placing his good hand on Henry’s shoulder.

Henry shrugged, looking to the stairs again.  A moment later, there was the sound of footsteps nearing, and Swan’s lad visibly relaxed. “Nothing’s wrong, Killian,” he said with a smile.  “In fact, everything’s right.  I was just afraid the wedding gift Gram, Gramps, Mom and I got you wouldn’t get here in time.”

“Wedding gift?” Killian asked, brow furrowing, “what wedding gift?”

“Permission to come aboard, Captain?” came a booming voice from above.  If Killian didn’t know he was in a far distant realm cut off from communication, he would have thought it belonged to…

“It’s Nemo!”  Henry said, sounding more like the excited child Swan talked of meeting when he was ten-years-old than the teenager who stood before him now.  “Nemo and your little brother Liam!”

Killian’s eyes widened as his eyes sought the lad.  “Nemo and...and Liam?” he breathed.  “But how?--”

Henry rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.  Ah, there was the teenager he knew and loved.  “You gonna let them board or not?”

Killian pushed aside his surprise, a smile covering his face as he called up.  “Aye!  Permission gladly granted.”

A moment later the tall, lanky form of his younger brother bounded down the stairs before Captain Nemo followed at a more sedate pace.  The men greeted each other with much laughter, handshaking and the affectionate clapping of hands on shoulders, before Killian pulled back, looking at his recently found family.

“You’re here!  You actually came!”  His voice was small, filled with wonder.

“Of course,” Liam said with a grin.  “I wasn’t about to miss my own brother’s wedding, especially after how desperately you fought to get back to your lady love after our last adventure together on the Nautilus.”

“But how?” Killian pressed, looking toward the captain for answers.  “Swan and I tried to contact you, but you were beyond the reach of even our magic.  How did you know to come?”

Nemo nodded toward Henry.  “For that, you have your lad to thank.”

Killian glanced over at Henry, who was beaming with pride.  “Henry?  I’m grateful beyond words, but how did you manage a feat even both your magical mothers were unsuccessful in attempting?”

Henry rolled his eyes good-naturedly, pulling a pen from his jacket with a flourish.  “Duh.  I’m the author, remember?  The rules say I can’t write my own happy ending and stuff, but they don’t say anything about using the pen to get a message to hard to reach people.”

“And this was the wedding gift you say your mother and grandparents and you put together for me?  My family present for my wedding?”

Henry shook his head. “That’s only part of it.  Captain, did you get the other part?”

Nemo nodded and reached into the satchel on his shoulder, pulling out a large flagon of some kind and handing it to Killian.  Killian turned it over in his hand, felt its weight, and then turned confused eyes at first Henry and then Nemo and finally Liam.

“Spirits?  Your wedding gift to me is spirits?”

Henry barked out a laugh. “In a manner of speaking.”

The furrow in Killian’s brow deepened.  Swan’s boy was talking in riddles, but all three men looked intently at him as though they expected his understanding, so he mumbled out a confused “Thank you?”

“There was one other thing I wanted to talk to you about, Killian, though, before the wedding,” Henry said, an odd, almost expectant glimmer in his eye.  Killian was tempted to pinch himself.  This conversation was so odd he felt he must be dreaming.

“Aye?” he said hesitantly, noting the broad grins on both Nemo and Liam’s faces, “and what might that be, Lad?”

“I’m sorry but I can’t be your best man anymore.”

The statement was swift, to the point with no explanation, and Killian felt as though the proverbial rug had been pulled from beneath his feet.  “You…you don’t wish to be my best man?  Have I, have I done something to offend you?”

Henry quickly stepped forward, placing a hand on Killian’s arm just above the brace for his Hook, the smile slipping from his face.  “No! Nothing like that!  Of course I’d be honored to be your best man, I just figured there was someone else you’d want to have that honor.  The person who’s been the best man in your life since about two-hundred years before I was born.”

Was he suggesting…?  Surely he couldn’t mean…?  It was impossible!  Killian had seen him move “on” with his own eyes!  How could Henry…?

“You can’t mean…?” Killian whispered, feeling the tears prickle at the back of his eyes.

Henry nodded emphatically. “I do mean.  You see, that ale Captain Nemo got you isn’t just any ale.  It’s magical ale from Dunbroch.  I asked the captain and your brother to get some from the witch there on their way back.  You pour it on the ground, and you can bring back one person who’s already passed on. It’ll only last a few hours, but I figured there was someone you might want to bring back for your wedding.”

The tears truly filled his eyes this time, and one escaped its banks and trailed down his face.  “You mean, I can bring Liam here?  I mean the older Liam,” he clarified with a nod in his younger brother’s direction.

“Uh-huh,” Henry said. “He’ll have to go back at the end of the reception, but he can be here for all the main events.”

“And you and your mother and grandparents wished to give me my brother as my wedding gift?”

Henry shrugged again. “Yeah.  I mean, everyone should have their closest family members with them for their wedding.”

Killian felt as though his heart would burst.  It was everything, everything he’d ever wanted.  There was not a thing in the world that would make this day more perfect. “Come here, lad.”

Henry came willingly, leaning into the hug, returning it in equal measure.

When Henry finally pulled away, he looked up at Killian with an excited sparkle in his eyes.  “So, what are you waiting for?  I think it’s about time Uncle Liam got here!”

Killian smiled.  “Aye, I believe you’re right.”

Uncorking the flagon with trembling hand, Killian poured its contents upon the floor of his quarters and watched as a fine mist rose from the liquid.  When the mist cleared, there was Liam, his brother, his hero, his whole world up until Neverland stole him away.  He stood tall in his naval blues, proud delighted grin on his face.

“You look a damn sight better than you did the last time I saw you, little brother,” Liam the elder said, by way of introduction.

“Younger,” Killian corrected automatically before pulling his brother to him in a crushing hug.

Several hours later

Killian took Emma’s hand, lacing their fingers before leading her out the door onto the secluded balcony off of the ballroom of the sorcerer’s mansion, where their wedding reception was underway.  She looked up at his beloved face with questions in her eyes.

“Why are we out here?” She asked.

Killian gave her a wicked grin before swooping down and capturing her lips in a kiss that threatened to make her knees buckle.  They’d been together for more than a year now, but he still had the ability to make her feel like she was about to melt into a little pile of goo at his feet. Finally he pulled back, resting his forehead against hers.

“Well, wife,” he caressed the word in a way that made her toes curl in her ridiculously uncomfortable heels, “I thought it was high time we have a moment to ourselves.  It seems the entire town is conspiring to keep us from each other.”

Emma laughed and looped her arms around his neck, bringing his head down for another kiss, this one slow and deep, her tongue swiping at the seam of his lips seeking entrance, a request he readily and eagerly granted.  Reluctantly, very reluctantly, she pulled back several moments later as hands began to wander.  “Think we’re gonna have to hit the pause button for now, sailor.  Married or not, I have a feeling my dad would murder you for having your way with his daughter out in public where anyone could walk in on us.”

Killian grinned and then shrugged.  “It’s not as though I’m unacquainted with the prince’s wrath.  He has, quite literally, stabbed me in the back before.”

Emma laughed and reached up to peck him on the lips once more.  “You’re really never going to let my dad live that down, are you?”

“What kind of a pirate would I be if I let an advantage like that slip through my fingers?”

Emma laughed, cupping his face in her hands and caressing his scruff with her thumbs.  “Was this day everything you hoped it would be?”

He kissed her again, this time making sure to keep it short.  “No, it was much, much more.  I have no words strong enough to express my thanks for bringing Nemo and my brothers here tonight.  You’re a marvel, love.”

She beamed up at him. “Hey it wasn’t all me.  It was Henry’s idea, actually.  He wanted you to feel as loved and surrounded with family as I do.”

The skin around his eyes crinkled as he smiled tenderly at her.  “I already did, Emma.  You, your lad and your parents made sure of it.  Nevertheless, the fact that I got to spend this most important day of my life with Liam…I am blown away that you would do this for me.”

“I’d do anything for you, Killian,” she said, feeling the truth of the statement to the marrow of her bones.

She saw his eyes mist with emotion before he leaned down and captured her lips once more.  She had no idea how long the kiss lasted, it could have been moments, it could have been hours, but eventually they were interrupted by the clearing of a throat.

“I don’t wish to interrupt,” Liam the elder said, grin on his face suggesting he found a good deal of humor in doing just that, “but my time is nearly at an end.  I can feel the other side pulling me back.”

Emma heard Killian’s quick, indrawn breath, and she squeezed his hand sympathetically before letting him go.

“So soon, brother?” Killian said, “It seems as though you just arrived.”

“I’m afraid so,” Liam said. “I sense Zeus already gave me more time than I deserved, but it’s time I get back to my ship and my crew.”

Killian stepped forward and hugged him, burying his face in his brother’s neck as he used to do as a young child in need of comfort.  “And you’re happy there, Liam?” he asked in a choked voice.  “In that great beyond?”

Liam laughed.  “Happy doesn’t begin to describe it.  Killian, it’s perfect happiness all day every day.  It’s fair winds and blue skies, perfect sailing weather.  There’s not a thing I’d change about it, save for the absence of my younger brother.”

“I’m sorry to keep you waiting,” Killian said in a small voice.

“Nonsense,” Liam said. “You deserve this time of happiness, this love and family and joy.  We’ll be together again someday.  Until then, I’ll be watching over you from above.”

Emma felt the tears blur her vision as she watched her husband hug his brother one last time, before stepping back and watching Liam disappear into a bright, glowing light. Stepping forward, she took Killian’s hand and laid her head on his shoulder.

“You okay?”

He turned his head and kissed her forehead.  “Aye, love. More than okay.  Having him here with us on this day, even only for a few hours, it made what was already a perfect day bliss.”

She kissed him one more time and then grinned at him wickedly.  “Speaking of bliss, how about we officially take our leave and then get started on the honeymoon?”

--So there you go, the rest of the CS wedding fluff!

--It probably won’t be next week, but the next installment will take place during 7a.  We’ll get to see what is happening back in Storybrooke while Henry’s off living through curses in Hyperion Heights.  Specifically, I think I’ll focus on something related to Emma’s pregnancy with Hope.
