Austin-Healey Sprite 
Launched in Monaco shortly after the Principality’s 1958 Grand Prix, the Austin-Healey Sprite was intended as a small, cheap sports car that would fit into BMC’s range beneath the larger MGA. It started a dynasty that would provide countless enthusiasts with affordable, fun motoring – a brief that it still fulfils more than 60 years later.Under the stewardship of Geoffrey Healey – son of Donald – the original Sprite featured bodywork that was designed by Gerry Coker, and its distinctive headlamps soon led to it being given the ‘Frogeye’ nickname. Barrie Bilbie’s chassis design made use of unitary construction, and the engine was a twin-carburettor version of the 948cc A-series unit that was also found in the Austin A35 and Morris 1000.Rack-and-pinion steering was used, the suspension was by coil springs and wishbones, and the live rear axle featured quarter-elliptic springs and lever-arm dampers.In 1962, a redesigned Sprite was introduced that did away with the ‘Frogeye’ styling, and an MG Midget-badged variant made its debut. As well as the facelift, the engine was enlarged to 1098cc during the Mk2’s production run and front disc brakes fitted. Over the years, the engine capacity was increased to 1275cc, but production of the Austin Sprite came to an end in 1971. Its MG Midget sibling lived on until 1980.Its fine handling and an engine that was ripe for modification meant that Sprite made a good competition car. Perhaps its most famous successes came at Sebring in Florida, with a class one-two-three in the 1959 12 Hours, which was followed by a class win and second overall (with Stirling Moss at the wheel) in the 1960 4 Hours.

The Very First Mini
1959 - Morris Mini Minor (621 AOK) This was the first one off the production line, never sold, now at British Motor Museum at Gaydon Warwickshire UK.
The Mini is a small, two-door, four-seat car, with FWD and transverse mounted 4-Cylinder OHV engine of 848cc / 998cc / 1098cc and 1275cc options over the course of its development. Developed as ADO15, and produced by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors, from 1959 through 2000, original Minis were built for four decades and sold during six decades, from the last year of the 1950s into the last year of the 20th century, over a single generation, as fastbacks, estates, and convertibles. By the 4th October 2000 A total of 5,387,862 cars had been manufactured, nearly 1.6 million of which were sold in the UK, although the majority of these were sold at least 20 years before the Mini's demise, meaning that the majority of those sold had been scrapped before the end of the original Mini's production life

Usually Minis from this era were either the 850cc, the 1,000cc or the lofty sporty heights of the 1275cc for the sporting models. The first time you go to Niki's you aren't in the least surprised by his house. It is on the larger side, but supremely modern. Clean lines and block colors make up the decor. Open spaces lend room for crisp sunlight to breach the many windows. A sleek fireplace sits along the far wall. He has a fully furnished living room, but it looks rather unused. Instead, he spends most of his time either in his study or the unattached garage out back.
He watches as you pander around the room, taking in the bookshelves full of automobile trinkets and shop manuals. It is the only room that doesn't seem to fit the rest. There is an old photograph in the corner - his family you presume. Niki looks to be about 16 in the picture; his curls are a little shorter and he is lean and lanky. You imagine that you were also quite the sight as a dorky 16 year old with pigtails and a band uniform.
The office is old school; it reminds you of your own father's study. Your hand glides across the back of a high winged leather chair more akin to the likes of bankers and businessmen. Niki did once tell you he came from a long line of politicians and whatnot. You suppose you can take the boy out of the business world but not the other way around.
The chair swivels around and you sit. Facing the desk and Niki you steeple your fingers in front of you and give your most serious face; "I've been expecting you, Mr. Lauda."
"Is that so? In my own house, no less," he taunts.
Sighing, you ask "James Bond?" He shakes his head. "You're no fun."
"I recall you saying the opposite just last night," his tease causes you to snort. "Come, I will show you the garage."
He leads you down a gravel pathway. The garage is nearly as big as the house, you figure it makes sense that he needs space to work on setting up his cars. Turning on the light you are pleased to see a collection of multiple vehicles. A black bike catches your eye.
"You have a motorcycle?"
"I do, yes. Maybe I'll take you for a ride sometime."
You grin at his promise and straddle the bike, careful not to topple over. Niki watches you, your legs spread over his bike. The bell bottom jeans you wear hug your plush thighs. He can't help the thought of you spread over him, your legs gripping his own hips.
With caution you swing your leg off the machine and head to the other vehicles. He has an unassuming and generic black sedan to one side. The red Ferrari is parked up front. You both agreed that it was flashy and not his type off the circuit, but when Ferrari tells you to drive their car off the track too you don't argue.
A pop of blue catches your eye. Moving closer you see he has a little Mini Cooper parked on the other side of the sedan. It's clearly seen some use. Being British you feel a thrill that Niki would drive a car from your homeland.
He walks to join you next to the car. "'67 Mini 'Mark I', 1275cc engine, 4 speed transmission. I used to race these when I was a teenager. Grew attached so I kept one after I moved up in the leagues. It's getting up there in miles but I still like to take it out sometimes."
"My brother had a Mini when we were younger. I used to beg him to take me to parties in it. Didn't quite fly though - he didn't want his little sister tagging along crushing his good vibes," you laugh at the memory.
You wrap your hands around his waist and rest your chin on his chest. His own hold your hips. "What about you, Niki? Will you let me party with you?"
"You know I don't go to that bullshit." Despite the harsh words his tone is light with you.
Pouting at him, you inquire "Mmm. Then how about you take me for a ride in this bad boy? Just around the block once or twice will do."
He fetches the keys and you hop in the front left passenger seat. "Oh it's been so long since I've sat here!"
"Then where do you sit when you drive your Alfa Romeo?" Niki sassed you, knowing the Italian car was situated for left seat driving.
"Buzz off - you know what I mean."
Pulling out of the garage Niki drives the Mini through the neighborhood. He lives in a generally isolated place; few neighboring houses can actually be seen and there's not a car around. As he drives you admire his profile. His curls are exceptionally tousled today; the collar of his polo unbuttoned just enough to see chest hair peeking out. Arousal simmers under your skin. Perhaps I'll just bring the party to Niki.

MG 1100, 1962. The MG version of the ADO16 used a twin carburettor version of the BMC A-series engine that produced 55hp. It was available with 2 or 4 doors and was remarkably advanced for its time with hydrolastic suspension, a transverse engine and front wheel drive. From 1967 it was upgraded to a 70hp 1275cc version of the A-series engine. It was discontinued in 1971 after  116,827 had been built

Austin Mini Banham Roadster 
This stunning Austin Mini Banham Speedster started as an, already desirable, 1967 Austin Mini 850 but has been subject to a nut and bolt restoration  The restoration included a full blasted shell and new heritage panels where necessary, the panels were de-seamed and lead filled before being treated to a 2K Ultra Black finish. The bespoke rear deck is held tight but can be removed, it is held in place with stainless steel screws from the rear window. New subframes, bushes, suspension arms, wheel bearings, brakes including calipers, braided brake lines and servo assisted brakes have all been fitted and every nut and bolt has either been chromed, painted or replaced. Sportspack arches were cut and profiled to fit flush against the panels, they sit above new staggered Minilite wheels and tyres with Spax adjustable dampers and Fusion sound package which includes a Sony stereo hidden under the dash. The car has custom door cards, full carpet and RS Turbo Recaro seats retrimmed in leather with green stitching. The 1275cc engine was completely rebuilt with a stainless exhaust and water-cooled aluminium inlet manifold. As you can see, the build was somewhat painstaking and the quality of the finish is worthy of any show.
