And personally, I find it racist to erase all the troll culture on Earth C. It is as if by going to colonize Mars, we take only the American culture and prohibit everything that is African or Asian.

So it's not racist because a purple highblood let it slide, just that a mutant like Karkat, has no right to state his opinion on the topic of if it is racist or not, when a higher being approves of it. But even then, it is Caliborn who spent the most with Gamzee. Calliope barely acknowledges or speaks about her father to Roxy or anyone else despite being raised by him too. Wouldn't it be a good idea for Calliope to tell Roxy or others about Gamzee prior to [S]GAME OVER? What about Act 6 Post Retcon? Did Calliope tell VRISKA about Gamzee's actions and that's why Vriska had to still follow the same steps as Gamzee (like fusing Kernelsprites and meeting with the Alpha Kids)? So how much of troll culture can we allow? Do we allow trolls celebrate their version of Christmas by letting them decorate literal poop? Is incest only fine if it's from trolls that humans can never practice it? What if a human adopts a troll and their sibling is human? Is it okay for them to engage in red or black romance? Is it okay to still talk about the hemospectrum in history form or is it best left unspoken that the trolls never learn about their true origins? Why is it still Jadebloods still caring for the Mother Grub and wrigglers. Why isn't there humans working alongside her that isn't Rose to act as a caretaker or nurse like any other from a hospital? Why isn't there other blood colors working there to help? Keep in mind too, some of the customs, beliefs, and rules were made by people like Doc Scratch and The Condesce, the big bad of the series that purposely made Alternia as a living hellhole.

This is a Vriska who has the spotlight, but uses personas to divide up her life. To the public, she is a shoe reviewer, and has the sickest kicks from the brand Troll Tears. She often puts them to the test by being so balling, as well as the ADHD leg bounce because she has to study for her eventual spot as a legislacerator. When she's talking with her friends on an MMO, she's 110% in character and will shut your face if you try to break her out of it because she worked so hard on the lore and learning the lore of the game. When alone in her forest with her gecko mom, she's weird in a vacuum. She has very little actual in person meetups outside of a video chat.

Instead of having Tavros as a love interest, I want them to be regular besties. Hence, the socks.

Welcome to the 12th Perigee Eve Ball, a winter event designed to let people show off their trolls in beautiful outfits and have a chance to crown a King, Queen, and Grand Couturier of 2023 and maybe even forge some new bonds and roleplays with friends old and new!

Please enjoy and see below for more details!

Attending is easy, since the invitation is open for everyone. Just keep an eye out for the official post about the inauguration for the ball on the 16th of December. After this, how you attend is up to you; whether you post openers under the ball’s open rp-tag, or if you rather roleplay in private, write drabbles or create art pieces, the event is your oyster!

It’s a GREAT opportunity to interact with people you’ve never interacted with before since trolls attending would naturally be in the same area, I highly recommend reaching out to people you normally don’t roleplay with these two nights!

You’ll find most you’ll need to know in the Guidelines, so make sure to read them!

That aside, you can also have your troll nominate a friend, quad, or even themselves, to be the Ball King and Queen, or Couturier! The winner will be crowned during the ball night, based on collected votes by everyone attending.

More information is likely to come up the incoming few weeks if needed! Please feel free to send asks if you got any questions regarding the event, just make sure to read the Guidelines first and check the Q&A-tag if anyone has already asked the same question. Does the Homestuck fandom still remember that trolls celebrate their troll Christmas by decorating literal shit from giant monsters? I mean, it's so of nice to see trolls celebrating Christmas in a way like wearing Santa hats and tacky ass sweaters, but at the end of it all, they have to wait for their lusus to bring back giant feces so they can put in stuff like tinsels, Christmas lights, sea shells, ornaments, and other decorations a human would put on a tree. But it's actual giant crap. I always wondered when it comes to human x troll pairings, be it stuff like Rosemary or Davekat, how do they handle that subject. Like would Rose or Dave allow their troll lovers to celebrate this gross holiday? Or will they try to educate them how their customs are outdated and disgusting and they should be ashamed to have taken part of it, so instead, they should convert to one of the other religious holidays available in order to redeem themselves? Or would they respect their customs and try to make slight alternatives to make it work? Like let's say use other large animal shit like let's say from an elephant? How would the human kids and humans in general, survive having to smell shit everywhere in December if all trolls participate it in Earth C? Would it be fine with Carapacians since they have no physical nose? Do the humans have to wear gas masks every time when it comes around? Would it be offensive for someone to wear a gas mask if it means to shield themselves from a troll's holiday? Do people who make fantrolls realize that their troll OCs would celebrate this holiday? Would they be okay with it? The world building that has been laid out for us gives us deeper implications if you try to apply it in fanworks, be it for events after the canon series or other MSPFA.
