X-15A-2 sports a new full scale ablative coating and external fuel tanks. August, 1967.
This ablative coating would protect the aircraft from the high temperatures associated with hypersonic flight regimes. The coating would help the #2 aircraft achieve its record speed of 4,520 miles per hour, or Mach 6.7, in October, 1967 with pilot William 'Pete' Knight at the controls.

Who will win in a flight race, the SR-71 Blackbird or North American X-15?
For years now when I write an article about the SR 71 somebody will throw the X-15 up and say wait a minute this rocket was faster. It’s interesting to know that at Edwards Air Force Base in 1967 both the X-15 and the SR 71 were on the same flight line. What is your opinion was the X 15 which only flew for 90 seconds because it ran out of fuel a faster airplane than the SR 71? Is the X-15 an airplane or a rocket? And let’s not forget the X-15 had to be taken up to altitude by a B-52 it couldn’t fly up there so you can see which side I’m on. the SR 71
But the X-15 was an interesting experiment.
What are the rules of the race? How far and what restrictions are in place?
The X-15 was able to attain roughly twice the speed of what the SR-71 is said to be capable of (4,500 mph vs 2,400 mph).
However, the SR-71 could fly at least 2,500 miles before needing to refuel (done with a KC-135 over friendly airspace). The X-15 on the other hand utilized a rocket engine that could not be refueled in flight and allowed it to reach a max range of 280 miles.
So if you’re looking at who can go fastest the SR-71 loses to the X-15.
If you’re looking at who can fly the furthest the SR-71 wins.
If you’re looking at who can fly the fastest for the longest time the SR-71 wins.
If you’re looking at an average speed of over an hour or more, the SR-71 would win on a technicality.
And if the race involves high-speed turns to hit waypoints over a course I think the SR-71 would have decent odds of winning as the X-15 wasn’t designed for high-speed turns, just reaching high speeds

"Mistress Momodi said your name is Chuluun; from the Azim Steppe." Sefirah immediately breaks the silence the moment he's close to the table where the imposing-looking Au Ra is sitting.
Still dressed in his eastern garbs on a rare day of solitude, he regards the stranger with calm focus. "She also says you're the man to seek when having troubles with a chocobo. Have I got that right?"

< Be Shelli
< you're a demigod that looks over a kingdom that used to worship you
< One day the monarchy got into a scandal. A pretty bad one, A shame really.
< Anyway, soon the monarchy was close to falling, they've been ruling for a good 15 generations.
< Violence start to rage the kingdom, streets filled with protesters and shops getting destroyed.
< On that same night a young boy comes to your shrine and makes a offering. (Oooooo Starfish, Your favorite!!)
< He prays for that the kingdom fixes its problems soon by any means necessary, for his sister gotten seriously injured in the ruckus.
< Since forever, You agree to help, You do need to punish those people for not worshiping you anyways.
< So on the 15th day of autumn, You destroyed the half of the kingdom including the Monarchy.
< A little days later, the same boy comes to bring a offering again. (You didn't like it but oh well.)
< He asks why did You killed half the kingdom that you watched over. Most of them were innocent...
< You said, 'Because they didn't worship Me, they deserve to rot.'
< He didn't argue back, and left muttering about something.
< You didn't know why he was upset, the kingdom always seem to pick itself back up again when you punish it.
......
< It didn't.

Those who attack the gospel often focus their attention on whether Jesus actually rose from the dead or not. Paul links the gospel with Jesus’ resurrection (Romans 1:4), acknowledging it was so critical that if Christ had not been raised, our faith is in vain...

[Scattered Pages] #1

"Today is the day I leave everything I’ve known behind, and become Sefirah.
It is not the name I’ve always known, yet responding to it feels right. I first heard it at the end of the last season. It reaches my ears, but it’s not in the wind. It has a sound in my mind, but brings no memory with it. The voice who speaks it is warm, and gentle. Feminine. But does it belong to someone I ever met?
Where I was born, to hear voices is an ill omen. A sign of insanity taking hold of one’s mind. Like the creak of wood before it breaks under your feet.
It is possible I have lost my mind, of course. But other answers are possible as well, and one reached too quickly might lead me astray from the truth. My instinct failed me rarely, and it is undeniable that this voice has a direction. My ears always turn to the west when my new name is uttered.
There are many things to the West of the Skatay Range. Most of what I know is myth, and the rest are questions.
Stories of civilizations long lost; of dragons, and magic, and a Great Flood that swallowed all.
If hearing a voice in your mind is not insanity, perhaps it is magic. And so begins my long walk.
It is hard to tell where to stop when you have no schedule, and your destination is nowhere in sight. I climbed down the mountains until the trees left my side, and my legs became weak.
I was resting by the road when a merchant stopped by. He said I was the first Viera he’s seen this year, and the first man among the Viera in his whole life. He thought our encounter would bring him good luck; a funny conclusion. Had we met when I was still a Wood-warder, he would have been of a different advice.
To thank me for his stroke of good luck, he offered me a seat on his wagon, and a drink of his wine. He said if I am truly determined to leave this place, I may as well have a glass of Valens first. That I will never drink anything like it again. I appreciated the gift, and the taste.
We parted ways at the gates of the Desert Sapphire, and here I must make my choice of where to head next. Rumors have it that the lands north and west are rife with conflict. They speak of a Dictator soon to unify all of Ilsabard under his rule with power beyond imagination.
Meanwhile, the Ridorana to the South still devours all ships fool enough to brave its waters. There are not enough riches in the realm that would sway a captain to head for the Sirensong Sea.
With obstacles on both sides, it seems my path to follow is more narrow than I thought."
