What if all spirituality is nothing but a way to increase the flow of life giving energy that’s already running your body? What if ‘religion’ was defined as upping one’s happiness by upping one’s good energy? What if the most important concept of God across religions and sects became ‘Supplier of Life Giving Energies’? Imagine all the people, …🎶✝️☪️🕉🕎✡️🛐.

What if all meditations conducted at the depth of mind beyond the deepest subconscious is about increasing the flow of Peace? That’s exactly what seems to be happening to my practice now. During no-growth sessions, my attention seems to be kept hooked to restless imagery by intuition. On the growing days, I seem to drink of Peace. There really is no such thing as ‘enough drinking’. In fact, I pray for a steady flow of Peace, without any interruption whatsoever.

It is nothing short of an achievement to experience the mind cooling effects of Peace every time one meditates. That’s a bit like being guaranteed a cool oxygenated breeze every time you opened your room’s window. That’s a bit like being assured great elation every time one consumes 120 ml of alcoholic drink(s).

Last night, soon after I had entered meditation, I genuinely felt as if I will experience fixed eyes. Eyes without movement because they are transfixed with an inner wonder.

Nothing much   17.7.2022

Nothing much has been happening in my life. I am looking forward to next month when so many of our family will be here. There is always something to do but nothing very meaningful.

 About the only good thing that has happened in the last days is a very interesting workshop I have been going to about Mindfulness which is really an extension of the three weeks we had in how to conduct political discussions. Suddenly I realized that although I am so angry but what I am really feeling is pain. Pain for the Palestinians who have no protection from the army or the settlers. Pain for the hopelessness one feels to help them. Pain at the horrible road we are going down morally.

 But there was something funny. One of the women brought little baigels she had made which were very crunchy and good. I could hear myself crunching them in my head because of my hearing device and I thought how tasty they were.  I decided to check and took out the device…..and without hearing the crunching in my head they were still tasty but not as tasty as before!!

 I went with my friend, Karin, to the Redeemer  Lutheran church in the Old City to watch a movie but a very different movie. Nosferatu (vampire). An old version of Dracula. The movie was made in 1922 in Germany and is, of course a silent movie. As in those time, the appropriate music was played as the film was shown  and it was quite an experience to sit in the courtyard of the church in the night watching as people nearly 100 years ago must have watched. I wondered if at the time, watching what to some might have been the first time they saw a movie, if it had actually frightened them. After all it was only about 30 years before the first commercial movie must have been shown. Today we are so blasé about horror films….Psycho, the Birds, The silence of the lambs….I kept wondering how it might have affected them in times where life was more innocent.

 It is really scary what is happening with the government and one of my friends who is definitely  NOT on the left scared me even more. He is usually the person who always tries to say things are not so bad.. I said to him that I was really scared that if Netanyahu came back into power, he would bring with him Ben Gvir and Smokritch and it reminded me of the rise of the Nazi party in Germany and he said that for the first time we agreed about something. It is already being said and not that it is anything new, that the one of the first things that Natanyahu will do if he comes into power is to put more of those on the right in the high court…probably also to save his own skin. And already one sees how the high court does not often vote in favour of cases concerning Palestinians.

 One of the ministers,  Kahane who said he would like to press on a button and send the Arabs to Switzerland. I would like to press a button and send him to a place much hotter. Now he has apologized. How do you apologize for such a blatant statement.

  Remember the elderly lady who was attacked by a terrorist Jew who kicked her in the stomach and then sprayed with pepper gas. She was later carried out of the market on a stretcher because she collapsed. She had to be taken out to the main road up the steps of the Damascus gate. In the video one can see how a Jew with a kipa on didn't even try to understand what was happening and drew his gun and was aiming to shoot, when he was stopped by a soldier. Nothing of course is said on the media about the woman collapsing. But for days the news was full with the soldiers who had been attacked in a Palestinian village. Now the truth has come out that it is not that they went into the village not knowing exactly where they were….the driver had actually served there and that they were actually drunk and started shooting. It is hard to believe that I once thought that we only heard the  truth.  The army has found every which way of defending itself with lies. Sad when I think back to `1967 when I was so proud that we told the truth…..and then today knowing that even then it was no even so.

What's it like to get to work with your friends?

Monaghan: 

It's great. It's always an opportunity that I try and take because those days are enjoyable. I'm not opposed to the getting to know you process. That's a big thing about being an actor walking onto different sets. But that is another way to drain your energy. It's that wonderful way of "What's your name? Where are you from?" I've known Billy now for almost 25 years and we don't need that. I know how he takes his coffee. I know what time he is going to show up in the morning, I know how he's going to show up in the morning. We have a shorthand and we're also in business together in different ways. So, we know each other's families, and it's just easy.

Boyd: 

We know each other. And it's fun to see each other do different things. And then Audible did a great thing where they insisted that we were in the studio together because a lot of time in these things, they'll record one person and then two weeks later record the other person. Whereas me and Dom arrived in the studio . . . and we worked on these scenes every day together, looking at each other, with a mic each. Otherwise, if he'd done it before me, I would've been calling him up: "Why did you do it like that? That's rubbish."

Monaghan:

I think it's helpful with Moriarty and Moran, where the characters themselves very quickly need to trust each other. They need to rely on each other and they go through this adventure together. And it's helpful if you have someone in real life that you feel the same way over.
