Next with the redesigns we get to the WarioWare cast! which oh god there's so many people here what the fuck! anyways! Here we have basically the cast of the og with two from later games. The Warioware cast designs are peak so not a lot is changed, but hey, I still changed some things, so let's get to them! (shoutout to the official WarioWare website it was so useful!)

Mona and Joe are the easiest since they keep themselves more or less the same - still the deliverywoman extraordinaire and her lovable boss. Mona here like everyone else is a bit older - a college student, majoring in archaeology, and has upgraded from a scooter to a motorcycle (quite literally upgraded, Crygor took her scooter and turned it into a bike). Joe keeps himself more or less the same, except a bit afraid of losing the best employee he ever had.

The man with the beat Jimmy T and the silly lil alien, Orbulon! With the former I just added some stars on his pants and also gave him melanin, because frankly the bright colors work better with darker skintones and the Mario cast is pale as milk, some variety is nice. for Orbulon I just put him in his human disguise's cute little minidress, because we stan a gender-non-conforming king. Fun trivia: Jimmy has beef with Waluigi over who has the better dance moves. They get along otherwise but if there's dancing happening it is ON. SIGHT.

Diamond Taxi's speed demons, Dribble and Spitz! I similarly didn't change much, just more detail on shoes, Dribble wearing his coveralls differently, and their earrings, which are actually their wedding rings, because look at me in the eyes and tell me these two aren't fucking. that's right you can't. Spitz finally got to publish his novel! It's doing better than Dribble expected.

Mad Scientist and Beleaguered Karaoke Robot Assistant Duo, Crygor and Mike! The levels at which Crygor is a cyborg vary SO OFTEN I just gave him the full helmet, a robotic left hand and a robotic foot. Mike I only changed up a smidge and changing his face to an LED display for better emoting. Still Penny's loving grandfather, he's gently trying to steer her towards a focus on the mechanics rather than chemistry, believing that she can achiever her idol dreams without having to rely on questionable homemade beverages. Mike on the other hand encourages to focus more on chemistry out of the selfish desire she can make a drink that will give HIM a perfect singing voice lol.

Nintendo Fanatics 9-Volt and 18-Volt! For fun I gave them the real names of Nikola and Edison. Now middle schoolers, they still enjoy skating and Nintendo games. I did the same with 18-Volt as what I did with Jimmy T. 9-Volt's helmet is more clearly a firefighter helmet - it's his dad's old model that he gifted to him.

And to finish it off, Kat and Ana! I wanted both of them to have more unique color palletes, and as a further distinction Kat has freckles. Like the rest they're a bit older, now elementary-school kids, and while he's not in this post they also get along a LITTLE better with Leo.

Warioware Headcanon Last Names

(Will be skipping the Crygors since they actually have last names. Also won't be including Young Cricket & Master Mantis because those are actual names.)

Wario "Fallman" Wario-Surname not actual surnames, he legally changed his name just to show he's Mario's rivial.

Mona Wheeler-It's because she has a scooter

Jimmy T.-I'd like the T to remain a mystery no matter what.

Dribble Stellato-Means "Starry Sky".

Spitz Laggard-Means Slow, representing how he's usually the cool one of the two (also because I headcanon him as the brother of Forghinthon of Rhythm Heaven)

5-Volt & 9-Volt Accumulator-Synonym for Battery

Ashley Magia-Synonym for Magic. Dosen't matter what it is though. You won't live to tell.

Red Rumm-Yes it is Shinning Refrence.

18-Volt Sangstar-Means to Sing and to chant in honor of his love of music

Kat & Ana Katana-Sorry it had to be done

Orbulon Uboloxolor-Just sounds like an alien surnames

[12/4/23: edited because Zack is the kitten who's a jerk, not Cory, and I got his crew wrong too.]

Okay so this will not leave my head: It's a rainy day at the Kid Crew's school which means they've gotta do recess indoors, and Desti foolishly decides to set up a game of dodgeball. I say foolishly because do you have any idea how crazy intense Mario characters get about sports!? Bowser Jr's back in his Villain Era and walking around in his Mario Strikers Charged outfit (the one with the massive claws) and according to Cody he gets like this every time they play dodgeball, and Franky's not much better even if he sucks at the game.

Anyway, when BJ makes his grand entrance he makes the mistake of "practicing" his throwing skills in the direction of the Haltmann siblings, and Elanore catches his ball near-effortlessly with an anime-style death glare. At this point we're reminded that she is, in fact, a clone of Mario because she also goes Mario Sports Spinoff Mode and "save everyone from Bowser's evil plan" mode. Desti's in denial about this being a mistake and designates the two of them as the Team Captains, while BJ's excited to finally have a Worthy Opponent.

From here there's some time during lunch for the teams to be formed. most of the kids agree that BJ's being kind of a jerk and needs to be taken down, with Vee and Sage being the obvious exceptions and Lil Coding also being an exception because him and Plurality re-sparked their rivalry somehow and of course Penny's gonna be on Elanore's team come on! Zack's "gang"(him, Larry, and Jim the Pianta) is also on BJ's team because of course they are.

Another surprise entry on BJ's side is 18-Volt, who's kind of going through a Darth Vader moment. Basically Zack mostly accidentally broke his game system during their "practice" and he got mad and threw the ball back in the little asshole kitten's face so hard his head caved in (relax, he's an SMG4 character, he'll be fine in a few seconds). BJ sees potential in this and convinces 18-Volt to channel his rage for Greater (Dodgeball) Power. So now they've got a 9-year-old with the size and strength of a full-grown man on their side.

Not sure how the game itself goes, but partway through Welony pulls out a dispenser and uses it as a machine gun, and that's what finally makes Desti admit this was a horrible idea. But, it's too late to stop now.
