#I so respect anyone capable of doing origami because I could never do anything that wasn't in the beginners level#crafting with my hands is just not my thing#and there's two things I hate:#1. glueing minuscule pieces of paper (you know#the kind where glue is everywhere but in the tiny paper and such)#2. folding stuff#my folds are never straight never where they should be never strong enough idk something always happens#so this is SOOOO COOL#thank you thank you really 🩵🥺🫶

I absolutely HAD to draw something for @phoebepheebsphibs's DTIYS (based on this pose)! I decided to mix things up a bit by experimenting with a more limited color palette, which was a pretty fun challenge.

My nephew & his wife just made settlement on a townhouse so guess who is offering them stuff out of her overcluttered house!!
#he just said yes to the nice wooden folding table and chairs I bought off my friend 2 summers ago & haven't used#for their deck#I have a few other things in mind too but I don't want to overwhelm them immediately#this is great though and I'm happy to save them some money so they can buy more important stuff#and any stuff out of my house is a major bonus!!

#when i was first coloring him in he was gonna be golden chinchilla colored but then i was like ehhh jonah magnus should be red/orange but#elias should be gray ...so i just desaturated what i already did instead of recoloring lol but#he is now supposed to be shaded silver lol#but thats why his coat pattern is on the darker side compared to what it *should* be#og elias bouchard coming from an important/roch family and while whole thing with thinking he just *deserves* stuff bc of his upbringing.#etc. -> he is purebred and matches the breed standards etc for a scottish fold of his color#obviously the eye color doesn't matter because. ahaha#i thought elias fit the Scottish fold vibes because: Scottish folds are known for looking sort of like owls and having intense eyes#and the cat body/face type (also present in british shorthairs) to me gives off sort of... unnasumming vibes?#like ahaha yes i am a boring boss who loves paperwork look at how unnasumming i am season 1-2 elias y'know#trying to think of what cat breed jonah would be. and also jon gerry etc you know all the other characters i like#would it be boring to have multiple british shorthairs#i mean..#Michael shelley/distortion is a laperm that's all I know#i didn't particularly care with the personality attributes associated with eliascat because it didn't need to fit his personality on account#of not being his original body. but i do try to keep in mind the best personality/look/etc. cat attributes as a whole for a character#also sometimes get obsessed with jt making historical and geographical sense but then it just limits me greatly to a point im not into it#so i don't care about specific breeds in that respect lol#tma#my art#elias bouchard#the magnus archives#some notes looking back(made it 2 hours ago but still looking back ok..) on it now are that i feel like elias would never choose this breed#for his next bodyhop because of the inherent health issues in scottish folds. I saw the breed was created in like the early 1960s and#assumed that maybe the health issues wouldn't have been common knowledge until later enough for jonah to be unaware of them but actually no#there's legislation about it like 6 years later LOL so jonah would..maybe not make this choice#i guess in the future when drawing i will just make him a British shorthair#my catTMA is simultaneously 'they are just regular cats or like all show cats or something' and 'exact tma plot but as intelligent cats'#LOL its just vague in my mind idk..also maybe jon can be an Abyssinian#ALSO WHAT WAS I THINKING 'jonah may not have been aware about x thing' like did i...did i forget. me 2 hours ago was dumb as rocks

#my desk is covered in Stuff. i took my meds 40 mins ago. okay uhh today i need to#1) im helpin mom with the wood splitter bc it's stuck in a block lol 2) gonna tidy my room and actually get my school supplies together#3) laundry. i should#4) valorant...it calls to me..#oh i should also take the trash#key word is TIDY room. i need to do a large scale laundry operation today and possibly tomorrow. so many got damn clothes just laying aroun#a lot of them r clean but they're in The Pile and not in the dresser#been Workin.#so. corral clothes. put up what i can. start laundry. play valo. get laundry. put on cr while folding laundry which i might do in one big go#after all the loads are done so i can actually find pairs of socks and shit#the adhd demons.

y'know. i don't often hate the way my brain is and how difficult it makes certain things for me.
i do a little today though.
#i'm probably going to feel this way the rest of the week#got some Stressful Stuff on my plate - none of it is world ending no matter what my brain thinks#but it's stressful and needs to get done#we already took care of One of the big major things just today because i was having a breakdown about it#because peeks threw up on my favorite shirt after having thrown up all over my bed yesterday and i'm like#she does this when there's a lot of change and stress going on and we've just moved and also we're attempting peace negotiations between he#and Solaire and it's. y'know. hampered by the fact that she's poorly socialized and both of them are dumb as rocks#and so she's stressed out because of the myriad of changes happening to her#and i'm stressed out because she's stressed out PLUS all the other bureaucratic nonsense i have in my brain#AND there's external stress in my foundkin (we're workshopping ways i can integrate the Family Label to apply to folks who weren't terrible#to me when i was a child) and it's just like#i had a really good day yesterday#i've been having pretty good days in general and i knew the crash would come and i knew that i'd get stressed about these things to the max#and that's. like. I know the science and paths behind how we got here#but i also hate that i'm here in this mindset with these things and i also cannot do the laundry myself after all#first because stairs are not always conquerable (they are Exceptionally Not For Me as of yesterday to the point where i'm going to have to#limit myself to the bathroom that doesn't have 2 stairs down to it even if it's closer in the moment)#and second because i ABHOR the texture of tide pods but i cannot deny that they are useful and so much easier to use/keep tidy#than a jug of Cleaning Goo is#so like. i'm embarrassed that all my bedding needs washing and i'm embarrassed that my shirt needs washing#and i'm embarrassed that i make dirty clothes in general and i *am* getting over that#it's slow but the fact that physically laundry is not a task i can complete on the wet side of things#(i still really enjoy the process of folding and sorting though i don't get around to it quickly)#but like. this is one of the reasons why i get freaked out about the fact that i create laundry that needs doing#even if it's not actually my fault (i'm trying very hard to remember it's not my fault the cat threw up on my clothes#and them being put away would have meant she probably would have thrown up on something else that needed to be cleaned#like the bed for example - i cannot put my whole bed away so she doesn't throw up on it)#becuase i feel like i'm burdening someone else to do a whole bunch of work for *me* and i can't do anything in return#(as if i haven't been very deliberately trying to keep up with the dishes daily this whole week so i don't feel like i contribute nothing t#the household)

#and its what gets wrinkled the most easily#this one jeans i have#im hating it now#but most of my tops go with it#i need to replace it#but you know how bad im at shopping#i want exact that jeans only it is perfect but old#also omg it gets dirty so fast#the most annoying thing is that#after i iron it#i have to fold it to keep it in my cupboard#AND THAT WHEN IT GETS WRINKLED#and like i cant sit and iron before i have to wear them like my roommate#because 1. i cant do stuff in front of her and 2. i dont have time and 3. i cant do stuff in front of her#gargi is keysmashing

Listening to The Stepford Wives audiobook while doing housework feels so hypocritical.
#I'm getting a vaccine tomorrow#so in case I get a temporary fever from the immune response#I wanted to get some stuff done so I can just lay in bed#my book club picked the stepford wives and of couse I'm behind again#listened for 2½ hours while doing laundry washing dishes taking the trash out sweeping the floor#audiobook#listening to this tale of a progressive housewife trying to not turn into a cleaning drone like the women all around her#while behaving like a cleaning drone#I feel like a fake feminist siding with the antagonistic in the story#I still have to fold laundry go grocery shopping and make a batch of muffins#pray for me#for real though the book is really good#I'm excited to see the movie (the 70's version)

well last i remember from hs bio one parent produces a genetically identical offspring. there is little to no way for any sort of uniqueness for said offspring when produced from one parent, but since this is mythology and gods, the rules dont apply lol. (see hera and heph in that one myth?)
ofc u could always use the genes the parent has from their own (presumably) 2 parents, so each kid would be there own self instead of carbon copies of the parent without the need for introducing external material
ig its up to you really! punnet squares be damned XD
#also the first scenario is for stuff like bacteria where its pretty simple (so to speak) and only one cell so its pretty starightforward#multicellular organism like us however are much more complex and mutations make for all sorts of interesting changes#and on top of that having 2 parents increases the genetic diversity like a million fold#but since here were working with one parent u can either make them the same or slightly different due to preexisting factors#hope that answers your question lol idk if i make sense when i yap about things i enjoy#inbox shenanigans#greek mythology
