i'm putting out a message to anyone who participated in 2020/2021 mcytblr!

i've recently reignited my passion for archiving niche fandom history! if you were involved in early mcytblr, sleepyblr, idotsblr, or dteamblr, i would LOVE to pick your brain and collect firsthand accounts of what it was like and different mcytblr events!

a short (but by no means exhaustive) list of events/happenings i'm interested in collecting accounts of:

the mcytblr elections, dlying, gay castle, 'kinnie' imposter blogs, friend or host, any discourse you can remember, the general vibe, truthing, critblr, copypastas (dream is a youtuber, hey wilbur, in this video we coded it so that i am in love with georgenotfound) and whatever sticks out to you from that era!

please feel free to reblog/send this to anyone who you remember from back then! i think firsthand accounts are just as important to preserve as physical media, especially right now, before memories get any more faded or warped. if you're interested, shoot me an ask or a message, or say so in the tags and i'll reach out!

having mutuals who’ve never touched the mcyt fandom is so fun for me it’s like an entire cultural experience i’ve had. every so often i remember how many of my Beloved Mutuals don’t know about the mcytblr sexyman tournament. or scitties. they don’t know about the whoreslut survey.

I never watched the last dsmp streams cuz 1) techno wasn’t there, what’s the point and 2) I knew they wanted season 2 but I had a feeling it wasn’t gonna happen, so I knew the ending wouldn’t be satisfying. So anyways here’s what I wanted to happen/ happened in my delusions :

- Tubbo and Tommy blow up Dream with the nukes

- Jack was there and saw it bc why tf not?

- there’s basically no forms of governments left so the syndicate members are like ‘ok let’s chill out’

- dream tried to hide the revive book but Techno knew where he’d hide it, found it, and then revived ranboo. No shut up I’m not hearing criticism on this one.

- techno then proceeds to burn it bc there they’re all tired af so he’s pretty sure there won’t be any more wars

- Phil is like ‘awesome let me go be the dad that I couldn’t be for Wilbur to Tommy’ bc I’m extremely desperate for the SBI dynamic ( Ik he’s not a good parent, I KNOW. Let me live a little )

- Tommy, Tubbo and ranboo go to therapy ( or maybe the whole server bc they ALL need it )

- Tommy pick up new hobbies like gardening n embroidery

- Tubbo moves in next to ranboo with Michael

- Tommy shows up one day to be the cool wine aunt and never leaves so he lives there now

- techno builds a bigger house but doesn’t say anything

- Tommy also happens to find pots of potatoes everywhere in his garden as gifts, wonder who that’s from

- tubbo and Ranboo enjoy gay marriage ( I am dying bc cc! Beeduo haven’t talked in centuries, ok? )

- puffy and Nikki get married ( let’s go lesbians )

- Jack cries at the wedding bc he’s proud of his sister ( Jack and Nikki siblings headcannon real, fight me )

- techno and Tommy eventually forgive each other

- Tommy teaches Phil how to sew

- Jack and phil try to build a car based on a dream Jack had and failed ( don’t ask why idk )

- Jack also ends up working with Nikki to build Phil that mechanical wing typa thing ( for context I was thinking of how to train your dragon so it’s based off that )

- he can’t fully fly but it helps

- boom boom boy ( Wilbur ) is at who knows where

- techno and Nikki help Tubbo build a bee sanctuary at l’manburgs grave

- Michael and techno bond wee

- yeah so has everyone chills tf out and lives happily ever after

This MCC is my 2 year anniversary watching MCC and it started with Cyan Coyotes and now I’m once again watching Cyan ^^

i think anon is being a bit harsh on you about the "gossip" thing cause while i can't speak to other subsections of the fandom to be totally honest dteamblr/404blr was definitely a community that kept itself alive because of blogs like hari and her friends (looking back its because we got such little content but thats another story 😭)... so an interview with her would probably get you almost the entire archive of dteamblr as whole and im sure she'd be happy to do so like she was a veteran 🐛

it's alright-- both can be true! going forward, i'll be more careful to avoid speculation, while also trying to provide individual accounts. it's a thin line between gossip and informed speculation, and i'd like to err on the side of accuracy.

that said, all information put forward within interviews should be taken with a grain of salt; my aim isn't to promote one side of discourse over another, but to get as many varied and biased viewpoints as i can to try and piece together a full and accurate image of what happened. it's increasingly difficult to avoid reigniting discourse as more and more people follow me, so i would like to reiterate that this blog is an impartial archive first and foremost! if that means less color-commentary on my part, i'm more than willing to take a step back.
