fic idea? timeloop-ish

kinda long so putting it under a cut

so what if when spock prime goes through the wormhole, his physical body doesn’t, just his mind and he takes the place of his counterpart (rip quinto spock) then he meets jim and realises this is an opportunity to spend another lifetime with him.

then after each lifetime he keeps doing this, going through wormholes and taking the place of that universe’s spock.

but it’s never quite the same, it’s never his jim. the timelines get messed up. butterfly effect etc. but it’s enough so he keeps doing it. but it gets harder and harder to take the place of his other selves.

then somehow he ends up back in the original universe, in 2300 or whenever. but now he knows about the nexus!!!

so he finds a way to enter the nexus and finds jim. it’s easy enough to convince him to leave but spock realises he can’t deny himself (his original self) a lifetime with his jim, after all that’s all he ever wanted. so somehow he stays in the nexus and let’s jim leave with his original self.

(and maybe a version of jim stays in the nexus with him and they life happily ever after on jim’s farm.)
