With as long as the nations have been around, it should be no shock that most have experienced one thing. Rabies. Many nations got it from the feral dogs that wandered around villages or wildlife while traveling along their lands. Once bit, the lucky ones were ‘reset’ before the disease could influence them to pass it on to someone else, while the unlucky ones had ‘died’ from the infection. Occasionally, infecting others with them.

Once in a while, someone would attempt to treat them for rabies. Usually, one of the odd homeopathic remedies at the time was used, but that would more often than not fail. Resulting in said nation being ‘killed’ when symptoms worsened.

 Regardless, nations were usually disoriented for a few days after when they returned to a more normal state of self. Often experiencing the lingering effects of paralysis, paranoia, increased aggression, and hydrophobia. And this is factoring in their superior healing abilities.

Thus, in the modern day, nations like both the Canadas and 2p Finland are required to get the human rabies vaccine yearly due to their high likelihood of encountering it.

Matylda (Czech Republic) isn’t one that many would peg for sports. That’s correct with how she snubs soccer, basketball, and most other games. But, there is one exception and that is hockey. Just like a lot of her citizens, ice has always had a call to her, and there is something about the game itself that makes her smile. Though for Matylda, its more of a watching pleasure rather than a desire to compete. After all, she wouldn't want to break a nail.

Both 2p and 1p Micronations are often locked into the same room during the large, once-a-year all-player meetings that the official nations go to. The tension between the two groups usually leaves the room damaged due to their unofficial competitions to prove who is better (think of The Office Olympics but more dangerous). Funny enough, the groups are often watched by both Prussias due to their semi-retired status. Both of which just sit there and watch them go about it.

Now, let’s shine some light on the nations that have been shoved into the corner. For this, I’ve picked four nations, since there are many that I’ve written but have yet to play with.

Luxemburg: Eliot would work like an angler fish as a yandere. He would draw his darling in with sweet looks and hunched posture. As they grow closer to him, he’ll slowly switch the dynamic becoming the dominant force of the relationship. Now cooing at you and providing for you with his nice, but cheap luxuries.

His punishments would be inspired by various video games. Things like letting his darling wake up in a haunted house full of puzzles and traps that can cause harm if failed but if succeeded can give tools that lead them right back to him.

In his case, his rival would be his brother, the Netherlands. These two would leave their darling in mental shambles. Eliot plucked the heartstrings to play the song Unhealthy Obsession, while Baas would use his information to blackmail. Each of these stressors would force them closer to their breaking point. Due to his appeal, Eliot would have them crawling to him and pouring out their soul to him.

At the revelation of his brother’s crime, Eliot would decide it was time to flip the script. Taking her into his home, hiding her away with a simple promise of safety in his care. He fully attends to do so by every means possible, even if it means fracturing his family.

 Lithuania: As much as Kaz is all bark with no bite, he can be a pretty wild yandere to have. His self-absorbed nature means that he believes that they love him too. No matter how much they cry against him or attempt to shatter the fantasy, nothing works. It’s as if it’s a mirror encased in tempered glass.

Kaz would prepare by creating an intricate room with many locks and cravings to keep his dalin’ at first. It would carry the motif of a Lithuanian cottage with green accents. Each little craving is along the ceiling and walls; hours will be spent attempting to figure out the story and yet never catching all the details due to the complexity.

Going up against his more stoic brother, Poland, would leave Kaz foaming at the mouth. Both men are stubborn; creating a never-ending cycle of kidnapping and harm to each other. With Poland's more direct approach, Kaz will have an easier time deceiving his darling that he is easier to escape. Speeding up the taming processes through repeated failures. 

It is important to note, that during all the back and forth. It doesn't matter how many times he is beaten down, killed, or dismembered Kaz will always return to claim his darlin’.

Cyprus: Georgios’ darlin will have to get used to taunting. He will often antagonize to see which emotions will rise to the surface. All these different emotions make him feel closer to them. In return, he unveils other emotions building an unstable trust that is always moments away from shattering.

His darlin would live in near isolation on a Mediterranean beach. During periods when Georgios would be home, they would be allowed outside and can even enter the sparkling waters. Of course, he would be right there, an arm’s length away, waiting for you to slip up.

If I’m honest, everyone could be his rival due to his level of distrust. For this post, I’m gonna make it Canada due to the chaos he caused and got chucked for.

To compete with Matt, Georgios is going to do all he can to sabotage it. Every repair is broken, the camera is thrown out windows, and he speaks smack about Matt to his darlin. Which confuses his darlin at first because this random guy approaches them and warns them about the other stalker. As time goes on and as he helps them, trust builds.

All the while he avoids Matt and makes it more difficult for the Canadian to worm his way in. Taunts abound before Georgios is finally beat down by Matt. With his darlin taken, Georgios pulls out the big guns.

To put it simply, when Matt’s enemies come a knockin’, darlin’s go a missin.

Czech Republic: As a yandere, Matylda will expect her darling to fall in line like her many followers. Hanging on to her word like it was from God, himself. Though, unlike the rest, she will listen intently to the words from their mouth. Noting each thing within her mind. If the relationship were to be summarized in simpler words, she is Aphrodite, and they are Adonis.

Her vast garden is the source of some punishment for her poor darling. When upset, they are forced to run through it like a lab rat searching for safety from a robotic cat. Yet, they never find an exit instead are cornered by the metallic claws.

The rival would be Hungary aka Margita. As yandere competitors, both women would attempt to woo with influence and promise of an easy ride through life. They differ in that Matylda is able to use a large pool to gather information before taking her Adonis. While Margita will attempt to use her seduction to draw you closer.

Matylda will send her men out to give a single warning to Margita. Stop or face her wrath. When the Hungarian woman blows off her threat the warm embers of competition blaze into a passionate inferno.

Her men would be divided into four groups. The first would continue to gather intel on her darling. The second is preparing the home for their capture. Group three is gathering information on Margita and her preparations during which the fourth team is figuring out how to crush the Hungarian’s advances.

Once the teams come together a horribly, unstoppable plan is formed. One that involves kidnapping, a lawsuit, and a metal coffin.

Hetalia Characters and Ships

If I didn’t list a nation/ship, I probably either don’t know enough about it to make a judgement call, or I’m just neutral about them.

☆ What Characters do you Like? ☆

Germany, Canada, Romano, Monaco, Seychelles, and Belarus

Also France, Lichtenstein, Latvia, Japan, Hungary, Finland, Ukraine and China are fun.

Luxembourg, Czech Republic, and Philippines have some of my favorite designs, but I have no idea how to write them. I just love their appearance. 

America, England, Italy, and Austria are fun to make antagonists in stories.

☆ What Characters do you Not Like? ☆

England

He’s cursed- He’s so popular and versatile, and you can’t go anywhere without finding him. I just don’t have positive vibes toward him. He’s fine I just would rather not. I still include him in a lot cause my friend Lemon writes an England I like and since we make AU’s together if England is in it or has a good position in it, you can assume I was talking to them when I made it.

Austria

Nothing big, I just think he’s a bit of a stuck up aristocrat. he’s deeper than that, and I recognize that, but he’s just not for me. I’ve seen him as like- comfort characters for others and I like how they portray him in those contexts, but in canon strips and animation I just have the energy of please go away. Which sucks cause I objectively like his design, just his personality grates on me.

Spain

He’s fine, but as a Romano RP’r I’ve had Spamano shoved in my face so much by every server and almost every Spain I’ve ran into it’s made me sour toward Spain in general. Like the others, nothing wrong with him per say, just would rather not. He makes a good antagonist as well, a good feral one with the fact he’s canonically a dangerous drunk and a y*ndere. Good overprotective father figure to Romano, or over protective friend to cause tension. He’s a himbo, and he’s fine.

☆ What Ships do you Like? ☆

I only really ship in Hetalia, and I am a multi-shipper, I am neutral on most ships so even if I don’t ship them as long as they’re between two consenting adults and it’s not incestuous or abusive I don’t really care. I also don’t try to weasel these ships into other people’s things very often. I tend to just go with the flow. I’ve also listed them by character because it got very repetitive. If a character isn’t on here, then it’s just that I’m neutral to ships with them, or don’t have any ships for them. I also didn’t include any of my 2ps.

☆ What Ships do you Not Like? ☆

Anything that romanticizes abuse of power, p*dophllia and inc*st is out. Abuse of power can be actual abuse, but also just things like mentor student relations, or ships written with the full intent and mindset of one person having power over another. Also nations with their colonies. Cause its... uncomfortable.

Most ships on here are either those kind of ships, or I just don’t get them.

RusPrus/RusLiet are always written with abuse of power in mind. Like I have never seen it written where its not about Russia overpowering a helpless Prussia/Lithuania. Or it’s all about them recovering from it and how its okay for them to still love Russia even if he’s hurt them. Like I have no seen them shipped where the abuse Russia has caused them, or what their countries has done to one another not be brought up.

Japan with just about anyone else in Oceania or Asia is in this boat. The history is just really bloody and I don’t feel personally comfortable shipping it.

Sufin Im not really a fan of, like it’s cute and all but people have just- they don’t give Finland as a character the respect he deserves they always make it about sweden and Sufin so I just have started not liking the ship on that alone. I just- every time I see a sweden or finland I bristle, and any sufin I see Im so cautious around because I dont want to see Finland revolving around sweden and his relations with sweden. Theres so much more to him than that.

UsUk and Spamano, for the above mentioned mentor/student slash familial vibes. I just never got how it was suppose to be romantic. Like-- Spain and Uk raised them- they read them bed time stories, made their meals and their beds- they were basically an older brother/father figure I don’t get how romance would blossom.

A lot of England ships I just don’t get, but I don’t like England. So I’m biased in that regard. Same with Austria, I didn’t like him that much, so ships with him I just see as meh.

If you ship canonical siblings with their siblings I hate you. Germany and Prussia, Italy and Romano, Iceland and Norway, Russia with his sisters. Any of that shit. I don’t like you, stay away from me. I don’t care what mental gymnastics you do to make it work, at that point just go do literally anything else.
