How would the yandere salty spittoon react to their darling wanting to cuddle with them?

The world outside had long shed its sleepy trance. The foliage had returned and became greener as the previous months' excess moisture evaporated away. Birds sang their summer song as nature embraced its abundance.

Yet, the same couldn’t be said for the hidden home.

It was cold inside. The icy air that left the steel vents forced its way into (Y/N)’s veins and chattered her teeth quicker than a distressed sailor using Morse code. Fog puffed from her mouth as she huffed. A rapid turn on her bare heel caused her to leave the warm window behind her.

(Y/N) stalked through the halls. Glancing toward the rooms she passed for a hint of warmth. In her search, she initially passed the living room, ready to brush it off, but a new basket at the L-shaped couch’s bend stopped her.  

It was wicker texture and dark color, matched the atmosphere of the cage she was forced into. Maybe, (Y/N) thought as she stepped into the living room, he was being merciful. Crawling along the chilled, leather cushions, its uneven surface sunk as she moved across. (Y/N) eyes never left the basket as she reached the furniture's end. Leaning over it, she raised her arm, small shivers caused her to tremble as she peered down at the woven container. Slowly, her hand reached for the lid. Small sparks of hope sparked like fresh embers as she lifted it, but like a sudden blizzard, it was quickly smothered when nothing was found within.

She yelled! A feral sound of frustration as her frozen foot kicked away the basket. 

‘What am I going to do?’ (Y/N) thought as she looked toward her stiff hands. She licked her cracked lips as she flexed her fingers. They had begun to tingle and burn with the first sensation of the incoming numbness. ‘He’s made it so cold.’

Hesitantly, her head tilted upward as she debated between survival and pride.

She knew that the only aid HE would give would be himself. A simple offer of a lighted coal. One that promised survival and care, but that isn't what worried her. It was what it could become.

A passionate wildfire.

One that would blaze as he offered higher prices for simple salvation. The type that melted flesh and harshly numbed nerves, that would leave her wholly reliant on him. Yet, (Y/N) debated, that if she would take the plunge once, she could fight another day. Temporary recover enough to dash. Away from his winterous lair and into the sweet spring. Permanently chasing away the freeze that threatened to render her immobile. That could leave her with no more chances of escape. 

Sighing, (Y/N) stepped off the couch. Her footing was wobbly as she walked toward the stairs. Ready to endure a minor burn, in hopes of escaping the coming blaze. 

Let’s not lie, they are all very happy about the bitter willingness. But each would react a little differently to it.

Canada: In his mind, it’s the first step of submission. The spark that could force her to accept that she needs him to survive. Though, unlike his brother, he’s not going to tease or hold her decision over her head. Instead, he welcomes her with a light hug as he leans back into the large bed. Once they've both settled, Matt tightens the grip of his large arms and smiles against (Y/N)'s head. This is a good first step.

He will probably use this trick again. For Matt, it's a good reinforcer after punishment or something he can use as a reminder of her place. That no matter what, she will eventually be forced to choose him.

After all, there is no one else worthy of her.

Finland: - Niilo’s not gonna make a big deal out of it, despite his joy. Mainly just uttering a sarcastic comment about how (Y/N) should have requested this sooner while pulling her to sit next to him on his office couch.

From there he lets her get comfortable under his arm while he continues about doing his paperwork. If she attempts to snuggle closer, he reciprocates with a small squeeze.

Enjoying the contact while relishing the first steps of securing her as his. Maybe this should be repeated. As needed of course. 

Poland: Piotr is like Niilo, he doesn’t celebrate or mock her submission. Instead, he ignores her. Now, this isn’t him dismissing his darling (Y/N). Instead, he’s forcing her to commit to getting what she wants FROM him.

Especially when she finally breaks to ask, Piotr will already be in bed. He has been sleeping after a night of work and will sleepily stare at her before turning over, lessening the pressure of coming to him for help. Though, never fully falling back to sleep.

That’s when she’ll slip under the blankets. Placing herself back-to-back with him. The shared heat will cause her to drift to sleep, deep enough that she’ll only realize the cuddles when she awakes. A simple way to force contact and make her adjust.

Russia: Viktor happily views her desire for him as the first step in domestication and wants her to know that. So, he’ll make her admit it. Usually by questioning her on why? For weeks now, she’s been nothing more than a fractious cat, why the sudden submission?

This interrogation continues until, in frustration and exhaustion, (Y/N) yells out that she needs him. That without him she risks horrible damage or death.

Only then does he let her into his arms. Ready to soothe away the chill for a time. Before continuing the process of adapting (Y/N) to her new role.

Cuba: Hector’s face won’t change when (Y/N) walks in. When she starts to ask about warmth, he just stares. He waits for her to make her intentions known. As in a full-on blunt statement like “Please cuddle me.” Or “I’m freezing, can I share the ‘only’ blanket in the house with you?”. Once that’s said, Hector will open his arms or lift the blanket letting her get what he’s been withholding.

As she fully settles against his side, his mind can’t help but wonder what other ideas his ‘friends’ have that could get him faster results.

Some love for Prussia varieties:

2P Prussia is mute and speaks (mostly) ASL.

His name is Gilen / Giulia, depending on whether you see them more feminine or masculine

He has a prosthetic arm on the right side (from his perspective) thats decorated in steampunk

He likes steampunk but is too shy/embarrassed to wear it

He's non-binary, and doesnt care what pronouns you use and how frequently.

Gilen has a troubled relationship with 2P Germany. They argue a lot and get physical sometimes. Very unhealthy but dont you dare harm one of them because the other will (try) to kill you.

This will ultimately end up becoming a popularity contest, since all the Hetalia polls so far have been swamped with people just picking their favourites, but why don't you all try something different for once and see what happens?

How will this work?

The round robin will have 10 different polls, each with 7-8 different characters, lasting a week. After the week, the 10 winners will come together into a final showdown poll.

Why is my favourite minor character up against so many mains? Can't you fix this?

And funny you should mention skewing the group selections, because my friend was just trying to conduct her own set of polls. The axis/allies would've all knocked each other out in the first round, and some of your favourite minor characters would've actually moved on for once. But some people complained about the choices of minor characters and their groupings, even going so far as to insult her personally...

So guess what, you're getting this poll series instead out of spite! Congratulations, your favourite minor characters are all in the polls, their groupings are purely random, and every character has a 10% chance of being up against Romano in the first round!

But what if I don't want my fave to lose to Romano in the first round?

Finally, a good question. When you find that poll, vote for your favourite and not for Romano, then reblog the post and tell all your friends to vote the same as you! Make sure you're a united force though, Romano only needs the one extra vote if you're all divided.

When can I see who's all in the groups?

You'll find out when I post the polls, as this FAQ post is going up before I even run the RNG. EDIT: The RNG has now been run, the polls are all drafted and scheduled, and the first is live! Links to all 10 polls will be added at the top as their posts are posted!

As for timing, I will post the first poll at approximately 6:00pm PDT April 18 2023, with the other polls all scheduled on 12-hour increments after that.

Once the final poll is closed after its week of voting, which will be at 6:00AM PDT on April 30th, I will create the Congeniality and Final Showdown polls.

What is this newly added Congeniality Showdown?

With the variety of options in these polls, there will indeed be a few nations that lose their round robin poll by a small margin of the vote. For these oh-so-close losers, there will be a Congeniality showdown to honour them for giving the victors such a close run for their money.

As the 10 polls each close, I will track the difference in voting percentages by which the losers lost to the victors. The 10 losing nations whose losing percentages are closest to their victors will go in the Congeniality showdown.

For example, Nation A won the poll by 32%, while Nation B finished with 25%. Nation B’s percentage difference of 7% is what determines whether they will appear in the Congeniality showdown. Should the other 9 polls results in 10 other nations getting less than that 7% difference, Nation B will not make the cut.

What are the Tiebreaker Rules?

This section is being added in case one of the round robin polls miraculously ends in a tie. Obviously Tumblr will not allow more than 10 entries into a poll, so a tiebreaker poll is the chosen method of breaking any ties!

I will post a 24-hour poll with the two (or more) nations that tied in the round robin poll, where you all have ONLY the 24 hours to vote. I will announce the tiebreaker poll ahead of time, so that as many of you as possible know during what period of time to search for it and vote.

Whoever wins this vote moves on to the final showdown. For the runner(s)-up, since they managed to tie the winner on the original poll, which makes a voting difference of 0%, they automatically take one of the 10 spots in the Congeniality showdown.

Tiebreaker polls will be scheduled for the period of April 30th to May 3rd if required, so please watch carefully for the posts. I fly to Norway on May 6th, so the Congeniality and Final Showdown polls must get posted before this Canadian goes on vacation.

Hello! First of all i want to say that i adore your headcanons about the 2p's and your blog. It's my first time requesting, and altho I'm not new to the blog i must admit that i haven't been here in a while and i kind of forgot if you do or don't do the thing with naming the anons, if you do, feel free to call me ⭐ anon.

To summeraize it up, it's just that i didn't have any idea up until now but this one hit me like a shower thought.

So onto the question.

What about the 2p's and a very perceptive S/O?

Examples: The S/O caught onto their obssesion and schemings, or they saw through their manipulation, or they caught them stalking them, or maybe they somehow managed to escape them, they lead the yandere on a false trail while they escaped on another.

I mainly want to see the Allies, Romania and Poland, if you may.

France: François is like an old, barn cat in that he’s done his work and now believes that he’s owed something easy. His observant Cher decided that wasn’t how it was going to which sly tricks and quick getaways. When the pattern repeats itself for the fifth time, François no longer puts his physical energy into the chase. Relying on the city’s cameras François begins to lay a series of snares. Each one is layered like hair-thin threads, so small that even Cher’s power of perception cannot catch them all. With each pulled off, two have gone unnoticed, until their combined power is stronger than steel cables. Leading to an easy capture for François.

America: A man with a temper like Allen’s doesn’t do well with an observant doll. Similar to what would happen with a professor darling, each escape would be like a tick on a detonation clock. The closer to zero that hands get, the more likely Allen is to become drastic, especially once his pride becomes damaged. His final tactic is the same no matter what, he or allow those around you to die.

Canada: Matt’s work with animals sets him up well with an observant darling. Both rely on their keen sense of awareness to survive in this world and in response, Matt first views each false trail he’s led down as just that. Someone struggling to survive. Unlike the others that chose more physically damaging methods, he doubles down on ways to build reliance on himself. Maple’s car breaks down or her window shatters, Matt makes sure that he’s the one that fixes it. It doesn’t matter if he’s punching a man’s lights out to take their uniform or finding Maple on the side of the road, he’ll be the one to do the repair. Sadly, if his gentle methods fail, then Matt will become harsh. Repairs are replaced with destruction, and gentle herding turns into a bruising grip on her forearm. This game won’t last forever, because at some point he will run her down. It will only take one slip, and she’s doomed.

England: Oliver would watch as Dearie slipped out of his fingers the first time. Tutting to himself as he replayed the days leading up to his failure. Mumbling about the notes left for him by his rabbits, when one thing pops back up in his mind. Dearie always could tell when she was being watched, meaning she was very observant. Like Allen, it’s a similar song to the Professor. He thinks it's cute until it's not. Her avoidance of his ‘gifts’ and duty to remain professional with him rubs Oliver wrong. By the game’s end, a deal is made with a creature of her nightmares. Dearie’s shrill screams show that her punishment is underway, and her silence means she’s almost in his arms.  

Russia: Just like Oliver and Allen, Viktor has also dealt with a professor situation, and she was just as observant. He will not enjoy being outmaneuvered but does take note of what he learns. Slowly creating the perfect tactic to ensure no escape. As the plan commences and his darling runs, swerving like a serpent between the trees as his men give chase. All the while Viktor remains hidden and watches from strategically placed cameras like a wolverine in the trees. Waiting for his darling to sprint past in fear, only to be ambushed. Dragging into his stone chest, stuck forever with a blizzard-like man.

China: Centuries of success can only be achieved by observation. As she knew Jin was on her tail, so did he know Qin had that stubborn, little trait. For a while, Jin will allow her to feel as though he’s been outplayed. Repeatedly allowing her to escape and feel safe, only to repeat the cycle within a matter of hours. It takes a toll on her mental health as her observant nature allows her no rest due to the cycle he had forced her into and the unknown amount of people working under him. As her world became shaky from the lack of sleep and paranoia, her once beneficial trait worsens it. Until the world becomes dark and Jin can take his sleeping beauty home.

Romania: As a hunter, Nicodim would enjoy a perceptive lover. Something about the constant vigilance reminds him of a small creature. A simple, rabbit that thinks as long as its predator is in sight and several feet away that the danger has been managed. Though in reality, Nic is working to change the wide meadow to a dark, city alley. Eventually, she’ll be cornered and Nicodim will capture his prize, eager to dissect every side of his rabbit.

Poland: Piotr is already tired enough and a darlin of this caliber makes him more so. From the constant vigilance to the complex escape plans, this man feels the wariness from those actions deep in his bones as he slowly follows like a true persistent predator. As the chase progresses and her decisions to escape become more often, Piotr becomes annoyed. That annoyance quickly turns into irritation and with that comes aggression. Just like a frog in a pot, his harsher tactics of capture start off pretty soft with pitfalls, snares, and herding by his men. The passage of time brings with it crueler methods; rusty bear traps, home invasions, and the destruction of anything that makes her independent. If she’s perceptive enough to dodge even all of this, then Piotr’s final option is to appeal to his boss for a legal summons. At that point there is no way out, she’s finally cornered and captured. Forever stuck in his cold house, sleeping with the one source of constant warmth, Piotr.
