My friends, when you see this around your @e3donline v6 (or other branded heater) block and nozzle during printing don't panic! Just stop the print and heat up the nozzle to around 240° Celsius and use some tweezers to carefully remove the blob of material. Be careful that you not damage the heater and thermistor wires. After this you can remove the rest of the material with a steel brush and tweezers. #3dprinting #3dprintingcommunity #3dprinter #3dprintingtips #3dp #3d #e3d #e3dv6 #hotend #v6nozzle #filamentextruder #prusa #prusa3d #prusai3mk3s #makermovement #makerspace #makertips #engineering #technology #tech #robotics #reprap #de3dprintman (at Leiderdorp) https://www.instagram.com/p/CPTUeTPLdrI/?utm_medium=tumblr

3D Printing Tips and Tricks: Molds for silicone objects
Contributor: Glyneva Bradley-Ridout
Here at the MADlab, we utilize polylactic acid (PLA) filament in our 3D printers, which is a strong plastic capable of many uses. But what can you do when you want to create a more flexible object?
Well, a solution has emerged! You can create silicone objects though 3D printing molds in PLA, and then adding silicone. While 3D printing molds is not a new concept, utilizing this idea to create silicone objects opens up a whole new avenue for 3D printing. It is both cost effective, and fast!

This is why I always recommend swabbing your filament to your extruder. It doesn't matter where you get the filament from or what kind of #3dprinter you use, there is always bound to be some dirt on the filament that can cause issues #3Dprinting . 😁 #3dprintingtips #cloggedextruder We use literally a piece of non pilling paper towel with a twist tie. Last clog we had was sometime last year.

When @UPS loses your beloved @ultimaker 3D Printer: I was very specific about sending it to their Customer Center in Oakland because we don't have a safe porch, made a note for them to call upon arrival (Thursday), added an additional large label to the package with my phone number, did not receive a call, called the next day (Friday), was told it was scanned and they should have it and that I could come in to pick it up on Monday. Came in on Monday, waited for them to look for it, they did not find it and said it was placed in the wrong location at the warehouse, was told to call after 7am Tuesday, they could not find it after 2hrs searching but said they would keep looking. Called back around 2pm and was on hold for an hour while they searched, was hung up on, called back several times and was hung up on each time. Then spent an hour with a customer service agent who opened an investigation, now I'm waiting for someone else to call me back. Currently up to about 4hrs on the phone with them. Extremely terrible customer service and I do not recommend shipping anything through UPS. Looks like it has been stolen, along with some pairs of shoes, things for my 3D printed lighting project, cooking stuff, towels, and sheets. This is rediculous . . My dreams of design consulting in San Francisco are currently on hold and there will be no more 3D printing updates for a while, RIP✌️ . . Please share this and any other bad experiences you've had with them and maybe they will do something about it . . #UPS #TerribleService #BadReview #CustomerService #BadService #Ultimaker #Ultimaker2 #BadBusiness #WhereismyPackage #Stolen #Oakland #SanFrancisco #Shipping #Design #3DPrinting #3DPrintingTips #IndustrialDesign #Review #NeverAgain #RIP via Instagram http://ift.tt/2o16FPj

Printing two custom parts for my Father in @esun3dfilament TPU 95A on the Prusa i3 MK3S Bear Edition by @3dprintronics today. eSun TPU 95A is strong, flexible and fairly easy to print. My trick is setting all speed settings to the same value and print slow. Around 20 or 25 mm/s works great on all my machines. #3dprinting #3dprinter #3dprintlife #3dprintronics #gregsaunier #ldomotors #prusa #prusai3 #prusai3mk3s #bearupgrade #fullbear #prusabear #makersmovement #makeinindia #makerslife #esun3dfilament #tpu95a #de3dprintman #3dprintingtips #additivemanufacturing (at Amsterdam, Netherlands) https://www.instagram.com/p/BynmBCPHpnY/?igshid=6rw79yqe9f0s
