This Macrame Mandala is based on the number 6. A unique pattern of perfectly symmetrically made knots is what gives this ongoing piece its unique texture and style! I create structures made from knots and that is why they call me Eric Knots. You can search trough the previous pictures on my page and see more detail of this one of a kind design that I been working for the last years.. I will keep on working on it until someone finds a use for it! More than 30,000 knots knotted in a perfect symmetrical pattern to create a perfect mandala. ~ THE MACRAME THING ~ I just don't know what to say about it... Around 7000 Knots? Empowered with Sacred Geometry, using mandalas and symmetrical patterns to bring life and harmony to the viewer? I have to say that my hands bled to be able to construct this ongoing "thing", the knots just has to be very tide in order to create a perfect solid structure. Based on the number 8 at its core, this piece has 4 axles that divide themselves into 8 simmetrical sections, representing our infinite universe and the complexity of it. This piece is not even finished but it's been a hole adventure! Keep you eyes on the upcoming projects... the plan is to build a house made out from only knots, ropes and a bunch of people from all around! This piece was created around a magnet by using only polyester strings and a technique called #macrame. The structure is achieved by using only knots, working on the concept that each knot has to be tide with the same angle and strength as the last to give a %100 symmetrical view from any angle you may look. (No glue is added nor any other material but strings and knots) . The magnet inside the tower makes the Tower spin endlessly, levitating a few cm from the contra-magnetic base.
