Announcement: Please dm me a way to see your completed worksheets or pdfs. However you prefer to turn in your work is fine as long as it does not break the Tumblr guidelines.
Also, if you plan to keep your files digitally, please create a file on your phone, tablet, or computer to store these in.
If you are using a printer and making these hard copies, please create a cute binder or folder to put them in and make sure to order them systematically.
Thank you all for your participation!

@gltterpens hi! I just started a new Tumblr, but even though it's not only about math, im going to be posting a lot of 3rd grade math content, im in your position, and I actually check the curriculums (I'll post the link) and do worksheets on my phone. I have the Samsung s20 note, so that I can edit pdfs really easily.
Hello hot girls this might be a tall order but does anyone happen to know of any good (ideally free) resources for people struggling with math basics? I'm trying to dedicate a few days a week to math this summer, but I struggle even with elementary concepts like multiplication and division. I don't want to save up to go back to college only to fail pre-algebra a third time.

"children don't need to learn phonics"
"children don't need to memorize their multiplication facts"
look I'm not saying these ideas come from the same place but I'm not NOT saying it, y'know?
#I'll talk to 3rd graders n they'll be like 'oh yeah we talked about multiplication in the begining of the year but we moved on pretty quick'#the ONLY thing i remember about being in third grade is learning multiplication (and needing to get glasses lol)#it's at the point where if i assess a student in grades 3-8 and they DON'T struggle with multiplication im pleasantly surprised#educational program designers be like 'im bad at math..... what if EVERYONE was bad at math?'

I swear 2025 age gap discourse would not have survived the absolute clusterfuck that was late 2000s queer anime spaces.
I've legit seen people on IG calling a guy who was 19 at the time he got with his 26 year old boyfriend "grooming" (I swear I'm not kidding) and I'm like. when I was 15 some 22 year old neckbeard I met on a yaoi forum made friends with me so I'd beat off for him on yahoo messenger. *that's* grooming.
#lmao went through my entire fb friend list because i couldn't remember his name#jeremiah i hope your weirdly small fleshlight gives you dick gangrene#meanwhile american zoomers are deadass like “actually the orange juice lady was correct the age of consent should be 21”#if you passed 3rd grade math you'll note the literal gap between 15 and 22 is the same as 19 and 26#yet these are extremely different situations#almost like a 15 year old is a child and a 19 year old isn't#i swear when i was a teenager we were like “yeah the age gap formula is an affine function” but i can't remember the exact formula#and also judging by social media “math” everyone was asleep when they learned pemdas so it wouldn't be any use anyways#ok i think i have it i was doing the order of operations wrong and it was giving me groomy results#i believe it's y=(x-7)*2 for the upper limit and the reciprocal function for ther lower limit (x=(y/2)+7)#being very careful with my pemdas there#but that results in the age gap being small where you want it to be small (teenagers) and expanding as you get older (literal adults)

i keep thinking about dyscalculia and how i always have to explain people what it even is and 9 out of 10 times the first reaction and comment I get is the good old "you know your life is going to be very difficult if you can't even do basic math"
don't worry bestie i'm very aware of it, do you really think i cried on the kitchen floor for fun when i realized im in my twenties and still can't do the most basic unit converting they taught us in elementary school
#i think we as a society should a) recognize dyscalculia in the first place and b) talk more about the way it fucks you up#i was 16 when i found out there is in fact a name for the brain worms that make you bad at math#and its not just something you can fix by staring at the 3rd grade math book for hours while crying#and how even special ed teachers have no idea it is a thing#i remember my first school testing kids for dyslexia almost every year#and now that i know there is a name for This im just jealous and almost angry#because when it came to math even the special ed teachers just gave up on me and told me they couldnt help me and i should just study#but how was i supposed to study when even the most basic math felt like someone is talking to you about rocket science in a foreign language#sadi.txt

They had us
THE STUDENTS
Have a fake vote of who we thought should win
Trump or Hilary Clinton
I don't remeber who I voted for (I was in like 4th maybe 3rd grade..I think 3rd grade) but I remeber Hillary Clinton won
...now why did they have children vote????
Like...huh?????

My experience has been that one of the big problems with online curriculum is no one can decide whether it's a high-tech version of textbooks intended to be supplemented by, you know, a teacher with lesson plans, or an all-inclusive substitute for a teacher. It rarely works well as the latter. Even when I did online math that was mostly self-driven, I had a tutor to communicate with via email and we did so regularly.
