Ayoooo !! For your birthday ask event I wanted to know a little more about Gavin and 60's relationship in AGBBP ? Are they the chaotic beings 👀?
//Tis is going to be a fun game of how much can I give without spoiling things XD
Alright so the relationship between Silas and Gavin in AGGBP is honestly one of my favorites for the series. I’m going to be completely honest. Silas has always loved computers and computer science, that’s just how he is, there are no limits, or at least he thought so until he met one Gavin Reed. Gavin is that one friend we all have with really bad ADHD and a difficulty understanding actions have consequences and that objects take up space. To top that off he is also clumsy as all fuck. If he can hold it he will or has dropped it at least once. Why is dropping things important? This man spends at least eight hours of his day at a computer. Several hours of that day are also spent drinking questionable amounts of coffee, as one is won’t to do when they spend their nights with strangers. So he spills a lot of coffee and its got to go somewhere if the cup is sitting on the desk. if it falls to the right it spills either on paper work or the keyboard depending on the day of the week and the state of the mess on Gavin’s desk. If it falls to the left it drips into the computer terminal.
This is when it becomes Silas’s problem because he is on the the IT workers as well as one of the scientists for AME. The first time he was frustrated, but it had to have been an accident, so it was fine. He dismantled the computer, cleaned it, let it try and slapped it back together with a few new parts. It was fine. He was fine. Then it happened again, and again, and then he was working on Gavin’s computer at the very least once a fucking week. Which as it stood was not fine. He had better things to do.
Silas only knows what Gavin looks like because he looked up his file to place a complaint, Gavin hasn’t met Silas but they have exchanged emails. Gavin is ready to fight as he always is, and Silas has threatened (with no real heat) to put a virus on Gavin’s computer if it gets sent down for coffee related repairs one more time. Silas doesn’t truly dislike Gavin though, he’s actually pretty sure if they ever met outside of work they would be friends. But first and foremost Gavin is a computer killer which makes him a slight problem, but as a computer buff he knows how to deal with problems.
So that’s a pretty long winded way of saying they don’t quite know each other but they have issues. Silas is being somewhat professional, while Gavin is being Gavin.

Connor Stern is not your average 28 year old.
First off, he has a bit of a drinking problem. Not quite an alcoholic, but if not monitored, he can be pretty stupid. Second of all, he has a disease. The Hanahaki disease, where flowers grow in your lungs because of unrequited love, and don't stop until you find love or suffocate. But Connor's never been in love. This is his mother's problem, passed to him. He hates it
If he isn't drinking to forget his problems, then he's usually at home. That is, until one night, where he passes out and a strange man finds him and brings him home.
Hank doesn't know what to make of the young man he finds in the road on a cold and rainy January night, or three days later as his partner at work. But what he does know is that the kid's brother won't stop glaring at him across the tables and he hasn't even had his coffee yet.
He's trying to be a good dad to his kid after a sucky divorce, but he's lonely. Maybe he doesn't have to be anymore.
- I didn't choose archive warnings, but there's mentions of attempted assault and some gore from being police officers. Nothing too bad but I will put warnings on specific chapters.

archetype test:
Gavin The Orphan
Orphans are independent, self-reliant and are mistrustful of authority. Orphans, fearing exploitation, seek to regain the comfort of the womb and neonatal safety in the arms of loving parents. To fulfill their quest they must go through the agonies of the developmental stages they have missed. Their strength is the interdependence and pragmatic realism that they had to learn at an early age. Shadow Side: The victim. This will manifest itself in your feelings of being victimized by others, and consequently blaming your incompetence, irresponsibility, or even predatory behavior on other people. You might also expect special treatment and exemption from life because you feel so fragile. When your Shadow Orphan takes control it can attack those who are trying to help you, harming these people and yourself simultaneously. Life Goal: Regain safety Fear: Exploitation Response to Problem: Being victimized by it Life Task: Process and feel pain fully Personal Gifts: Independence, realism, resilience, empathy Personal Pitfalls: Cynicism, tendency to be the victim or victimized, chronic complaining
Nines The Warrior (or Hero)
Tough and courageous, the Warrior archetype helps us to set and achieve goals, overcome obstacles and persist through difficult times. However, the Warrior archetype also tends to see others as enemies and tends to think in "either/or" terms. In truth, the Warrior behaves in a relatively simple way, seeking to simply win in any and every circumstance, no matter what confronts them, including the monsters that live inside the mind and their underlying fear of weakness. Their challenge is to bring meaning to what they do, perhaps by choosing their battles wisely, by using courage to succeed, or by developing great self-discipline where needed. Shadow Side: The villain. This will manifest itself in your desire to win, even at the expense of other people and their well-being. The villain is also active in your life any time you feel compelled to compromise your principles in order to compete, win, or get your own way. There is also the possibility of perceiving everything as a continuous battle, where virtually everything that happens is a personal slight, threat, or challenge to be confronted. Life Goal: Win, make a difference Fear: Weakness, impotence Response to Problem: Slay it, defeat it, convert it Life Task: Fight only for what really matters Personal Gifts: Courage, discipline, determination, skill Personal Pitfalls: Fear of impotence leading to ruthlessness, arrogance
Switched at birth much?

Kiss
REQUESTED BY:
--
PAIRING/S:
RK800-60 x [Name]
A/N:
Kiss = Keep. It. Simple. Stupid.
But for Connil? Ha, yeah right.
A kiss, so sweet and pure. Not like the godforsaken world.
═══════════════════════
"Detective [Last name], I had brought you some sustain nourishment for your lunch today." The [Hair color] haired detective blinked as he was handed a warm styrofoamed container given by his partner. "A-ah, thanks..." [Name] awkwardly muttered as he gave a smile at the android. Patting the chair next to him to indicate the android could sit there. "So, what did you got me?" [Name] had asked as he just saw Connil stood there, stiffly, in front of him.
Registering the detective's question, Connil's LED swirled to yellow for a second as it then swirled to its blue hue. "Spaghettoni served with a sauce of minced beef, tomato, onion, and herbs. It is rather rich in carbohydrates, along with some protein, iron, dietary fiber, potassium, and B vitamins." The android responded as [Name] nodded his head. A bit excited on digging in on this 'spaghettoni' Connil is talking about.
'Kinda sounds like a spaghetti though...' The [Hair color] haired had thought as he opened the container. Looking at the container than at the android in front of him, he gave a blank expression to the brunet android as he finally saw the contents of the container his partner had brought for him. "Connil, this is spaghetti."
"I am very well aware of that, Detective [Last name]." Connil responded. "But the dish is rather called Spaghetti Bolognese. Despite it called though, the pasta used in that dish is a bit larger on an ordinary pasta, which is called as spaghettoni unless if it's smaller then it would be capellin--"
"Alright, alright. Jeez, Connil, please just stop..." The android was cut off when the [Hair color] haired male had told him to stop his rambling despite the amusement evident on his [Eye color] eyes. "I apologize, I will not ramble again." The brunet android awkwardly had said as his partner only chuckled at him. "It's alright, you're cute when you ramble." [Name] had said as the android had a small blue hue on his cheeks. "Okay, Detective [Last name]."
"Didn't I tell you to call me by my first name? Just call me [Name], Connil. We're partners and on a break no less, so no need to be formal." Connil nodded his head as his brown eyes looked at [Name] who grab his cup from the table and drank the contents from it. "Alright, [Name]."
"That's it!" Had said as Connil couldn't help but smile at his partner. "Anyways, why did you bought me a spagh-what-you-call-it though?" The detective had asked as he put his cup back on the table and the looked at the styrofoamed container then back at the android in front of him. "Spaghettoni, [Name]." Connil corrected as he gave the [Hair color] haired male a small smile. "You haven't eaten since yesterday other than the donuts you snatched from Detective Reed." The android had said as his partner gave a hum at him. "So, I took the time to buy you food."
"Thank you again, Connil." The detective had said as Connil merely gave an, "It was no problem, [Name]." as a response. The [Hair color] haired male shake his head as he placed the container in the table and open it wide. Taking the plastic fork provided, the male started to mix the pasta to it's sauce while not paying mind on the android who finally took action to sit on the chair beside him.
The [Hair color] haired male stab the pasta with his fork and then twirled it to get the pasta. After a few twirling his fork, the [Hair color] haired male then ate the pasta. "This is really good, Connil." The detective had said to the android who watched his every movement, the android nodded his head at what the detective had said as he still watched the male twirled his fork back on the pasta then eating it again.
"Where did you buy this?" [Name] had asked as he looked at the android and then raised a brow. "And also, why are you looking at me like that?" He pointed out as Connil seemed to snap out of his state and gave the [Hair color] a confused look. "Pardon, Detec-- [Name]?" The brunet android had questioned as he tilted his side to the side a bit.
"I asked you where did you bought this pasta." The [Hair color] had said as he ate again. Stopping his chewing, he pointed the plastic fork and Connil as he then swallowed. "I also asked on why are you looking at me like--" The male paused as he circled the fork on the android's face then continued. "--that."
Connil kept quiet for a bit as [Name] had shrugged off Connil's odd behavior and went back to eating. "I bought it at a newly opened Italian restaurant." Connil finally answered as [Name] nodded his head as he hummed at the android's answer. Connil looked at the [Hair color] haired male beside him who was absently eating the pasta he had bought. His LED swirled to red for a second then turned to yellow as he fidget on his spot. "And to answer your second question..." The android had started as he watched [Name].
"I am just fascinated." [Name] seemed to snorted at that answer as he put the fork down on the container and grabbed his handkerchief to wipe his lips from the sauce, missing the android's brown eyes looking at him. "Fascinated of what? Eating?" [Name] had said as he laughed at Connil. "I really need to teach you on how to be human..." Connil only watched as [Name] said that with a smile.
After awhile, [Name] went back to eating while Connil watched him. "I never had spaghetti. What does it taste like, [Name]?" Connil abruptly asked the detective as [Name] looked at the android while still eating. "Well, it taste li-- w-woah- uhh, C-connil?" [Name] had said as he watched the said android came closer to him and grabbed the plastic fork from his hands. The brunet android then twirled a long pasta stripes that was connected to [Name]'s pasta that was hanging on his mouth.
Connil merely ignored his partner's confusion and surprised as he ate the pasta, him inching closer towards the frozen [Hair color] haired male. The android continued to get closer until finally he reached his frozen partner's lips and immediately wrapped his arms on the [Hair color] haired male's neck, bringing them closer as closed his eyes. [Name] seemed to be snapoed out of his frozen state when the android arms wrapped around his neck, eyes widen as he slowly put his hands on the android's hips and kissed him back. Closing his eyes as he brought the brunet android closer towards him.
[Name] swiped his tongue on the android's lower lips as Connil gladly parted his lips for the [Hair color] haired male to explore, tongue darting and exploring every crevice and inch on the android. After awhile, the two finally separated as the [Hair color] haired male softly panted for air while the android looked at him. Both of the two had a hue of red and blue on their face as Connil muttered, "I-I... I didn't expect that to work..."
[Name] turned his gaze to the android who still has his arms wrapped around him. A soft smile on his lips as Connil gave him a smile. "What was that about?" The [Hair color] haired male has asked the android as he softly smiled. "Me, Connor and Conan were watching some of Hank's movies when we stumbled upon some very old movies." The android explained as he placed his head on his partner neck as [Name] hummed. "Hank told us it was some of his very old Disney Classics and we watched it." Connil continued as he nuzzled his head on [Name] neck. "I really liked the movie, Lady and the Tramp." He muttered as the [Hair color] haired male connected the dots on the android's explanation.
The male couldn't help but laugh at his partner as Connil pushed back a bit to look at the [Hair color] haired male with confusion on him just abruptly laughing. "What are you laughing about?" The android quietly questioned as he tilted his head in confusion. The only answer he got was [Name] affectionately pecking his nose and looking at the android's brown eyes with his own, amusement evident on his [Eye color] eye. "Next time you want a kiss," [Name] started as he then kissed Connil on the lips. Parting after a few minutes he finished, "just ask."
Connil softly smiled as he brought the [Hair color] haired male closer towards him, chuckling as he then grinned. "But it won't be romantic." The android muttered as he brought [Name] back for a kiss.
"Is no one going to tell them to stop?" The grey eyed android had asked as he stood next to his self-proclaimed older brother, Connor, and watched his other older brother kissed his partner. Connor only shrugged as he looked at his look-a-like and smiled. "Let them be. He was planning on this for days... It's cute." He had said as Conan rolled his eyes but agreed to the other android's statement.
The two brother seemed to froze when they heard the brunet detective, Gavin, asked on what the fuck is going on. "What th-- oi! You two get a roo--" Gavin didn't seem to finish his statement when he was tackled to the floor by the two androids. Hank let out a laugh as walked in inside the room to see Gavin getting tackled by his two android sons but stopped when he turn the other side to see Connil and [Name] close to each other and was kissing.
The older male let out a sigh as he rubbed his temple. "Jesus Christ..." Hank had muttered as he looked back to Gavin on the floor and his android sons piling on top of the groaning detective. "So his plan worked." Hank had said as Connor, who was on top of Conan nodded his head. "Quite well actually." The android had said as Gavin cursed underneath the two. "Get OFF!!!" The detective below them screamed as he tried to pushed the two away from him but it was futile as the two androids weight.
Hank merely ignored the troubled male as he walked by them. "Now, now, Reed. Keep quiet or else you'll ruin the sweet moment of the two." The older male had said as he sipped on his coffee. Gavin cursed the older male. "I don't give a shi-- hmp mph pHMMMM" His sentence was cut off again by a hand slapping onto his mouth, preventing him from continuing his sentence. "Shut up, Reed." Conan grunted as he glared at the brunet. "Let those two be."

The Death Penalty in 2019: A Year of Incredible Progress, Marred by Unconscionable Executions
America made big strides in 2019 on its path to dismantle the racist, unfair, and inhumane death penalty. Today, dramatically fewer states permit the death penalty than any time in the modern era, and the number of people on death row is at a 27-year low.
Bi-partisan supermajorities in the New Hampshire legislature abolished the death penalty in May, making it the 21st state to formally reject the punishment. Governor Gavin Newsom imposed a sweeping moratorium on executions in California, closing the death chamber in the state with the largest death row in the country and prohibiting the execution of 737 death row prisoners. Four states — California, Oregon, Colorado, and Pennsylvania — are now under official Governor-imposed moratoria, bringing the total number of states that wouldn’t carry out an execution to 25. Ten years ago, just 12 states prohibited executions. In other words, the number of states prohibiting executions has more than doubled in the last decade — a remarkable pace of change.
The shift in states rejecting the death penalty is mirrored by the movement in public opinion away from capital punishment. The Gallup Poll has tracked public opinion about the death penalty versus life imprisonment since 1985. This year, for the first time since Gallup began tracking public opinion on this issue, a majority of Americans (60 percent) prefer life imprisonment to the death penalty.
Part of this shift is the clear proof that the government does not always get it right — innocent people have been sentenced to death, including the 166 people who have been formally exonerated. This year brought even more proof that the death penalty cannot shake its innocence problem. In 2019, two men, Charles Ray Finch and Clifford Willians Jr., both of whom were convicted and sentenced to death in 1976, were exonerated and released. Additionally, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals granted an indefinite stay to Rodney Reed after a groundswell of public opposition clamored against his execution in light of powerful new evidence of his innocence. Other names like James Dailey, Richard Glossip, and Larry Swearingen also made headlines for credible innocence claims. For Swearingen, those news stories came too late.
While a year of much progress, 2019 was also a year plagued by shameful state executions and the reckless attempt by the federal government to rush the executions of five men after a nearly two decade de facto moratorium. The Supreme Court allowed Alabama to execute Dominque Ray, a Black Muslim who was denied access to the spiritual advice of his Imam — a comfort guaranteed to Christian prisoners. Just weeks later, the Court stopped the execution of Patrick Murphy, a white Buddhist man, triggering concerns that race and religion played a role in the disparate outcomes.
Other unconscionable executions from 2019 include: Georgia’s execution of Ray Cromartie without permitting a simple DNA test that could have fully exonerated him; Missouri’s execution of terminally ill Russell Bucklew in the face of evidence that his execution was likely to be torturous; and Tennessee’s execution of legally blind Lee Hall, Jr. The Supreme Court and the government of South Dakota alike failed Charles Rhines, allowing his execution despite evidence that his jurors sentenced him to death because of their anti-LGBT prejudice.
This year was mixed in terms of the courts willingness to grapple with intractable problems of racial discrimination in the death penalty. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear cases from Oklahoma that challenged the systemic racial bias in the imposition of the death penalty, as well as from California, where the state supreme court had upheld the outrageous claim that a prosecutor’s decision to exclude jurors who did not oppose the OJ Simpson verdict was unrelated to race.
But the North Carolina Supreme Court granted review in six cases where the petitioners were yanked from death row, to life without parole, and back again — without due process or new trials — after they had proved racism infected their cases and the state legislature repealed its anti-discrimination law. And the U.S. Supreme Court issued a powerful decision in Flowers v. Mississippi, reaffirming its commitment to overturning cases in which prosecutors secured death sentences by systematically excluding qualified Black jurors from jury service.
The modern death penalty has churned along for over 40 years since the Supreme Court permitted its reinstatement in Gregg v. Georgia, after finding it unconstitutionally biased and arbitrary in 1972. After more than 40 years, none of the major problems with the death penalty have been addressed. An outgrowth of lynching and slavery, the modern death penalty is still racially biased. Supposed to be reserved for the “worst of the worst” defendants, the death penalty is handed down more often for those with the worst lawyers — not the worst crimes. Geography, money, and race are still the best predictors of who will receive the death penalty. The good news from 2019 is that the country is accelerating in its efforts to finally break with the inhumane and unjust punishment.
