Nico visits Bon Dylan, Paris 1965
“I didn't know what to expect when we met. Bob Dylan was like a God to me. He spoke a lot that first time. He arrived in Paris where he stays with the French singer Hughes Aufray. At first, he's very open, then suddenly he will go back into his shell. He doesn't put himself out. And he never tries to change anyone. He accepts or rejects them as he expects them to treat him. He is scared of being alone. He could cut himself off and write even with a lot of noise around him. During the week we stayed together, he wrote many songs – including It Ain't Me, Babe.”

On this day, December 8th in 1980, John Lennon was shot outside his apartment and died. Today is the 43rd anniversary of the day that we lost one of the most influential and important people in the world. Words cannot describe what an amazing person like you did for this world John. You were taken from us too soon. I wasn't alive when you were but I miss you every damn day and i'm so sad that I have to wake up in a world where you aren't here. I'm sad that the world will never get to experience you make anymore music. I'm sad that we'll never get to see your beautiful smile shine in this dark world. And i'm sad that we'll never get to see you again. You never knew how much you meant to this world John, but I want you to know know that you are loved and missed every single day. The day you died a part of the world died with you. I hope wherever you are that you're with George and that you two are feeling nothing but love and happiness. Thank you for being with us John even if it wasn't for as long as we wanted.
