ASHURA AND THE SACRIFICES OF SAYYIDINA MUHAMMAD ﷺ, PART 5 #ShaykhHishamKabbani 💕 On #Ashura, Allah ﷻ saved: Adam (alayhi 's-salam) and forgave him; Nuh (alayhi 's-salam) from the flood; Ibraheem (alayhi 's-salam) from the fire of Nimrood; Dawood (alayhi 's-salam) from Goliath; and, `Isa (alayhi 's-salam) by raising him up away from his people. Allah ﷻ saved them from their heavy loads they could not carry and gave that to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ to carry! . Have We not opened your heart and relieved you of the burden? (Surat Inshirah, 96:1) . “We put the heaviest load on you, O Muhammad ﷺ and then took it away!" That is why #ProphetMuhammad ﷺ stood in prayer throughout the night until his feet were swollen and Sayyida Ayesha (radhiAllahu anha) asked him, “Why, when all your sins are forgiven?” He said, "I want to be a thankful servant." Prophet ﷺ asked her, "Why are you crying?" She said, "Because you are on your deathbed." Then Prophet ﷺ whispered in her ear and she began to laugh. She left and he took his last seven breaths, but Sayyida Fatima was smiling. . Sayyida Aisha (radhiAllahu anha) wanted to know what she was told, but Sayyida Fatima said, "That is a secret between me and my father, but after they bury and pray on him I will tell you." . Sayyida Fatima (alayha salam) told Sayyida Aisha that Prophet ﷺ had said, "Do not worry, you will be the first to follow me," and six months later Sayyida Fatima died. ASHURA AND THE SACRIFICES OF SAYYIDINA MUHAMMAD ﷺ, PART 1 The first ten days of the Islamic year are filled with suffering as whomever #Allah ﷻ wanted to save, He saved from the cruel hands of their nations, but it cost them a lot. When #ProphetMuhammad ﷺ first entered #Madinah, he saw the Jews fasting on Ashura (10th Muharram), then known as “ash an-noura,” from two words, but they took out the Arabic letter Noon and it became “Ashura”. Ash means “living” and nour is “light”. On that day, Allah ﷻ saved His Prophets from many harms. Prophet ﷺ said, “We have more rights to Musa,” and ordered the #Sahabah (radhiAllahu anhum) to fast that day, and anyone who fasts that day all their sins of the past year will be erased.
