The Mandalorian Ep 1-3 (TOP 3 Things You Should Know About Mandalorians) Three episodes in and The Mandalorian is still holding up. Like I said before, it's solid like Carbonite and precious like Beskar. Great story telling, nice progression in the plot, awesome performance by Pedro Pascal (through body language and voice acting essentially), and extremely meme-able with all quotes and gifs. Negative side, 30 minute run time on these episodes. But hey, we'll take quality of quantity. Lastly, of course, the best part for me is that this show is going heavy in the Star Wars lore. TV REVIEW | Riverdale Season 4 Episode 1 -- RIP Luke Perry Well, this was a heavy episode. I love Riverdale. I love how over the top this show is and how this show does not make any sense. I love how the show runners are fully aware of how ostentatious they can be with the story line. And for all the criticism of Riverdale having bad writing this season premiere episode was in pure and respectable taste. Not only for the character of Fred Andrews but for Luke Perry. TV REVIEW | The Handmaid's Tale Ep 9-13 Okay. So finally getting around to recording and uploading this. It was a fun season. This season finale was a good one leaving a lot of speculations as to what is going to happen next. There was a lot of imagery I pick up the reminded me of the Hunger Games. Wrapping up this season, while there were some slow parts I enjoyed the overall arc. And there is plenty to talk about when it comes to cinematography and underlying symbolism of the show. TV REVIEW | Krypton Season 2 -- Save Krypton A truly entertaining fun ride and great season. Krypton is pretty much the Game of Thrones in space. Which is appropriate because the GoT character Septa Unella (the shame bell nun) is in this show. Also a shame because this show got cancelled. WHYY!?! But at least we got some solid character development just within two seasons. And it was really awesome to see this world be flushed out. Maybe this will be a cult classic. TV REVIEW | The Handmaid's Tale Season 3 Ep 5-8. So far this season is going well. I love episodes 5 & 6. Episode 7 was pretty much setup for episode 8. I love that we're exploring Gilead into the Capitol. Gave me a lot of imagery of the Hunger Games' Panem. I just want to see more of the rebellion. So hopefully we get more of that in towards the end of the season. But I also think this would be a good time to introduce a new antagonist. MOVIE REVIEW | Spider-Man -- Far From Home An awesome and funny summer movie. A great way to end phase 3 of the MCU and cap off Endgame. Not a lot of negatives and drawbacks. Pretty much another coming of age story with Peter Parker dealing with his new responsibilities as an Avenger and how that contends with him wanting to be a normal teenager. GAME REVIEW | Harry Potter Wizards Unite -- Yep, Niatic just released their new Harry Potter mobile game in the start of Summer. Kinda reminiscent when PokemonGo first launch, but this time around I don't think I'll be seeing folks walking around in the middle of the night to catch magical creatures and items. So here are some of my initial thoughts. Pretty fun. Niatic definitely took the time to build this product off of the success of PokemonGo. A lot of the same mechanics are in this game. This time around you focus more of your time developing your avatar vs collecting and upgrading your pokemon. With folks barely starting getting on the broomstick not sure if this game is going to last too long. But it definitely will share a good potion from the PokemonGo community. Overall, it's fun but it might wear off fast. MOVIE REVIEW | XMEN Dark Phoenix ... And just like that the Fox XMen franchise comes to a close. With a just.. okay.. movie. Not really a lot of highs and not too many lows. Just a whatever safe movie. I still enjoyed this film where many others did not. You can definitely wait till redbox. Personally, I just found the ending was rather fun as Sansa Jean Grey Stark goes into the sky like a mockingjay. C'mon my tag name is Haymitchmitch. I love the Hunger Games imagery. Quick Movie Review: Captain Marvel -- HUA, this movie did not disappoint the quality that Marvel as set forth. Totally Gnarly. Terminator meets Guardians of the Galaxy meets Top Gun meets Men In Black. Love everything 90s about it. Great humor, on point music, and rad introduction to Carol Davers. So all the SJW talk surrounding this movie. Thankfully and good on Marvel on not buying into it. If there were sjw parts it was relevant to the Carol's character or story. Overall, I fully recommend this in theaters. It is a great appetizer going into Endgame.
