So, since Twitter is a little bit shaky for all of the performance related things, I want to say a couple of things to leave this topic aside, because it's annoying me and it’s driving me crazy. First of all, yes, they deserve a solo stage, YES, they deserved a nomination. But this is way beyond our reach, this is an award show that is 100% mannipulated by others. So, my only point of view at this moment is that I trust them with all my heart, they are doing this for a reason, they want to perform in that stage because it's their dream, and even If  they deserved way more, they are just taking the chance, and I love that. This whole industry created walls for BTS and they are breaking them all, so I hope that this awards are next. Looking it on the other way... just like Yoongi said one time, they came from the very bottom, and they took step by step... they walked and climbed the whole path, they are not taking advantages. I see this as how Yoongi thought of it (and sorry If don't have the exactly words, I can't seem to find them) this is a very step by step thing... they first time they came to GMs, and now they are performing, I hope next time they'd be able to put a whole performance for themselves to their own level. But let me be honest, it might not work that way, it's difficult, because there's no way they are letting them perform the same way they perform in Korea... because those awards are not open to it... so, I hope that after all they put a stage that will highlight their talent and passion. The hashtag on twitter won't help. We need to support them. And I believe in their decision. I trust them, and I understand the decisions they are making. I'm proud of them. I'm proud of what they achieved and what it's coming... So, be ready, BTS is breaking walls, and we need to help them. Final words: 7 is coming. Black Swan stage is coming. So, be ready ARMY! We are making it!

Uma reflexão sobre: “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 'Interlude: Shadow' Comeback Trailer”

Eu não consigo tirar da minha cabeça as cenas do M/V e a letra dessa música. Por isso decide escrever sobre. São tantos detalhes, mas algumas cenas e trechos realmente chamaram minha atenção.  

A cena onde os cifrões são rabiscados sobre os celulares me chamou muito a atenção, pois é algo que venho pensando e discutindo muito com meus amigos.

VIEWS / PUBLICIDADE / RECONHECIMENTO / DINHEIRO

Até onde as pessoas podem chegam por views? Vale apena esquecer que é uma pessoa que está do outro lado, e tratar um artista como uma mercadoria?

O BTS tem uma carreira muito sólida, eles são e continuaram sendo um dos grupos mais famosos da história. Mesmo que agora eles tenham mais infraestrutura, mais dinheiro, mais contatos na indústria da música, mais seguidores, mais espaço para a divulgação, mais patrocinadores e estejam mais velhos e experientes, eles ainda (talvez mais frequentemente) tenham que passar por esse tipo de situação:

Vazamento ou pior venda de informações sobre a vida pessoal e/ou rotina dos membros. O Tae comentou recentemente em uma vlive sobre como eles tem que fretar voos particulares pois as pessoas descobriam e compravam assentos próximos aos deles. Há também as situações quando eles estão em tour e tem seus quartos de hotel invadidos e é claro não podemos esquecer o número de telefone e endereços que sempre acabam na mão das sasaengs.

Sasaengs, eu realmente já tentei entender, mas é impossível, simplesmente não há nada que justifique esse tipo de comportamento, também há alguns fansites e paparazzis que perseguem e invadem a privacidade afim de conseguir informações e imagens exclusivas que mais tarde trocar por dinheiro.

Temos ainda e não menos importante a mídia em geral. Quantas entrevistas, premiações e programas o BTS frequentou nos últimos anos?

Eles se sentiram confortáveis em todas elas? A maioria teve grande impacto na carreira deles? A respostas provavelmente é não. A mídia estava realmente interessada na música, na carreira do BTS e em produzir um conteúdo interessante ou somente no público/atenção que eles atrairiam?  Provavelmente a segunda opção.

Mesmo estando cientes deste tipo de situação eles participaram, por que são profissionais e na minha opinião, muito humildes, sabem a importância do marketing e levam a sério promessa de tentar chegar mais próximo do ARMY e essa é uma das formas.

E é claro temos os falsos e aproveitadores, todos nós lidamos com esses tipos tóxicos no nosso dia a dia, mas agora vamos pensar na escala BTS: grandes empresas, outros artistas, os estabelecimentos que eles frequentam, pessoas do passado, pessoas comuns que estão só caminhando na rua e eu realmente espero que não aconteça com o BTS, mas muitas vezes os próprios familiares querem um pedaço da fama deles. 

Nessas condições é difícil conseguir construir relações profissionais saudáveis, agora imagine na vida pessoal? Como confiar, como deixar as pessoas chegarem até você?

Interlude: Shadow

“Ninguém avisou como é solitário no topo”

“Fugir também é uma opção” - não sei se essa é a tradução correta dessa frase, mas pra mim ela tem vários sentidos, ele pode estar falando de rumores/boatos/haters, do conflito com sua sombra/consigo mesmo ou do relacionamento com as pessoas.

E agora vem meu objetivo principal com esse texto.

Fakenews, entrevistas monótonas, haters e aproveitadores, como eu disse anteriormente eles são profissionais, adultos e cada vez mais experientes eles sabem como lidar/se comportar nessas situações e caso não saibam tem todo o suporte da BigHit. Já ouviu Cypher?

Agora sinto dizer, nossos escoteiros não são a prova de balas, não quando os responsáveis são eles mesmos e o ARMY.

Nós os idolatramos e queremos estar próximos deles por isso consumimos muito BTS, a música, os álbuns, os M/Vs, os shows, as redes sociais, a rotina deles, o vestuário, o merchandising, os cosméticos, a cor do cabelo, o que eles bebem e comem, os artistas que eles escutam/apreciam...

Quantas vezes você já viu uma notícia que porque um membro do BTS estava usando algo, aquele item teve o estoque zerado em pouco tempo?

Bem... você é fã e tem o direito de expressar seu amor da forma que lhe for mais conveniente, mas você está sendo realmente um fã quando:

*Apoiar ou excluir somente um membro? Eles são 7 que se tonaram 1, é o nome do próximo álbum inclusive, é claro que você pode achar um deles mais atraente ou se identificar mais com a personalidade de um membro, mas dizer que um membro deve ser expulso ou seguir carreira solo, com eles afirmando como só conseguem ser felizes quando sabem que TODOS os membros estão felizes?

E todos aqueles resultados de rankings e pesquisas mesmo as vezes sendo pequenos, são ARMYs que participam e tenho certeza que os resultados chegam a eles, como ocorreu recentemente com o j-hope que foi o único membro que ficou de fora de uma dessas listas de popularidade.

*Ships, eles são sete e sim provavelmente tem mais intimidade com um ou outro membro, mas por que trazer as coisas para o lado romântico/sexual, mesmo que algum dia, algum ship desses seja real, vai ser igualmente desrespeitoso ficar tentando adivinhar como é a intimidade deles, quantas vezes me deparei com coisas pornôs relacionadas a ships no Twitter, Instagram, YouTube e até no Weverse, mesmo sendo apenas desenho ou por escrito, eles utilizam essas redes sociais e podem ver/ler. Se você é do tipo que não consegue evitar esse tipo de pensamento e melhor deixar somente na sua imaginação, apesar do próprio Tae já ter dito que não é seguro lá. Por favor vamos ver os ships pela ótica da amizade.

*O jeito como se vestem e mostram o corpo. Você pode ter uma personalidade tímida ou mais ousada, você pode querer passar uma imagem mais sexy ou mais fofa, você pode gostar de mostrar seu corpo ou usar roupas extremamente grandes que não marcam, você pode ter brilho e cores vibrantes em todas as suas roupas ou usar só preto da cabeça aos pés, pode querer mostrar sua roupa intima ou se vestir como seu avô. No aeroporto, quando estão viajando ou visitando família e amigos os membros se vestem como quiserem e acharem melhor, eles não têm que estar com figurinos nem tão arrumados como nas performances. Mesmo assim sempre há comentários dizendo que isso ou aquilo é vulgar, desrespeitoso, que não deveria usar, que está muito magro ou muito gordo, que fica feio de óculos...

*Membros namorando. Já mencionei como é difícil na situação deles desenvolver qualquer tipo de relacionamento, eles sabem disso, e se mesmo sabendo disso gostarem de alguém o suficiente para querer assumir, não podemos sentir inveja, ciúmes ou raiva com certeza não temos o mínimo direito de julgar/depreciar as escolhas de parceiros. Isso tudo remete ao sentimento de posse, e nós não somos DONOS de ninguém muito menos do BTS.

*Por falar em escolhas, tatuagens, tamanho do cabelo, fumar, gosto musical, hobbies... Faz parte de quem eles são, da tentativa deles de construir uma personalidade e se afirmar como indivíduo. Você mesmo não fica irritado e ofendido ou mesmo triste quando alguém questiona algo que você faz/fez? Toda vez isso é feito com eles, os deixa com mais medo de mostrar quem eles são de verdade. Como se a sociedade coreana por si só já não fosse pressão suficiente.

Esses tipos de pensamentos que citei acima acabam sendo divulgados nas mídias, com certeza não é da maioria do ARMY pensa, mas temos que lembrar que nosso fandom é gigante e esta sob o holofote então mesmo que seja 1% do ARMY, já são milhares de usuários dando views nesse tipo de conteúdo e isso acaba chegado no BTS. E quando chega neles o que vocês acham que eles pensam? Eles acham que o fandom que é fonte de apoio e inspiração que está errado ou são eles que não são bons o suficiente? Vocês acham que isso afeta a Persona deles ou o eu real deles?      

Tenho certeza que todo mundo já sentiu no modo sério e um tanto triste como eles falam sobre alguns assuntos, a gente consegue perceber de relance o quanto eles sofrem e se preocupam com isso (ultimamente principalmente o JK) e como são raras vezes eles expressam oposição a esse tipo de comportamento.

Mesmo com toda a campanha #LOVEYOURSELF e com o amadurecimento deles como pessoas, esse tipo de situação ainda machuca.          

Hora de refletir:

Nos amamos, admiramos e nos inspiramos no trabalho deles, mas nós NÃO CONHECEMOS eles, e por mais sinceros que eles sejam em suas canções e depoimentos, por mais conteúdo da rotina deles que a BigHit nos forneça e por mais shows que fossemos frequentar, nunca chegaríamos a ser próximos como provavelmente o melhor amigo de cada um deles é.

Provavelmente eles mesmos ainda estão tentando descobrir quem eles são e eu não duvido que sejam pessoas incríveis e interessantes fora dos palcos também.

Agora se você encontrasse um dos membros em um bar em Paris e tivesse a chance de tomar um drinque com ele, você ia tentar ter uma conversa agradável e divertida ou ia se preocupar em filmar/tirar foto para provar que você teve contato com ele?

Você gritaria o nome deles incessantemente e tirariam centenas de fotos enquanto eles estão no aeroporto, no shopping, na loja de conveniência?

Você acha que ficar filmando uma performance deles e melhor forma de compartilhar o sentimento e a mensagem que eles nos querem passar com suas músicas?

Você seria uma das mãos que puxam o eu verdadeiro deles pra baixo pra depois erguer o celular e ficar filmando a Persona deles no palco?

Como ARMY nossa missão é providenciar um espaço seguro para que o BTS possa expressar que eles são de verdade, se eles ainda têm medo ou não querem fazer isso, o mínimo que podemos fazer é tentar tornar a vida deles como artistas mais confortável e feliz. Eu realmente não quero ver novamente um suspiro de frustração do Yoongi ou o JungKook pedindo desculpa por se divertir.

Eu não sei que alguém vai ler e se ler se ofender com esse texto, realmente não é minha intenção. Esse M/V foi um tapa na cara e me levou querer escrever sobre, pois muitas das coisas que descrevi, também ficam me atormentando.

Praticamente tudo que descrevi se encaixa na vida de outros artistas também e serve para todos os fandoms refletirem. O que você fala/comenta sobre seu ídolo, você teria coragem de falar/comentar se ele fosse seu melhor amigo?

Today marks the release date of Shadow, Comeback Trailer for their new album Map of the Soul: 7. And after hearing the song, which for me should bear the title of Masterpiece, I felt I needed to tell you some things...

The first of them, you might imagine, but still, I want to repeat.

Min Yoongi, I love you.

I love you deeply, honestly and selflessly. I love you with all the purity of my heart, with the sincerity of my soul and the truth in each of my words.

I know you always hear this, practically all the time, but believe me when I say my words are sincere. What I feel for you has transcended any and all explanations; can't be quantify or qualify; is not measured or restricted; it does not fit the standards and does not fade with jokes. That's the truth.

I love you and this is the only truth you need to know...

The second of these, you may not know, or have no idea, but it's also a truth.

Min Yoongi, I'm proud of you. 

I'm very proud. So much, that today, as I watched your stunningly overwhelming trailer, I lost count of how many proud, loving tears I sheded..

A rant about streaming parties

Recently, I came across few fan pages posting guidelines on how to stream music so BTS could rank higher in charts. The guideline included suggestions like using long playlists so you could stream for hours and overnight while one’s asleep, not rewinding or looping songs to avoid bot-like behavior, using headphones if you did not really wanna listen but still stream so BTS could get in top stream. It also mentions how streaming and listening are two different things. Isn’t this ‘Sajaegi’ behavior? It might not exactly be illegal streaming but isn’t this cheating? Isn’t this exactly what Jin hoped people would not do when he spoke about chart manipulation in his MAMA award acceptance speech? Not cheat and make honest music. It was not just meant for the artists or the managers or the PRs or the companies to assess and reflect on it. I believe it is a responsibility of us fans too to stream honestly. Jin too wants a world where good music and artists are recognized and heard. Us as his fans have a duty to keep his words and stream honestly. I am sure with the power that ARMY is and the love that they have for BTS we would not need any of these fake stream numbers. Why should we let the numbers dictate our love for them? Does it really matter if they had fewer streams or fewer likes or fewer views or even fewer awards? At least no one would get to point fingers at them. Everything that they earned would be honestly earned. I am sure none of the fan pages meant ill as all of us just what to do all we can for them, but let us try to make sagacious decisions. Let’s try to keep each other in check.

BTS Concept Photos - Map Of The Soul: 7

Version 4:

I Love this version. From the second I saw these photos, I had a smile on my face. I think it’s because they’re easy on the eyes. There’s nothing else going on it’s just the members smiling as they are and so it’s easy to focus on them. I could engage with this version well with no difficulty in comparison to the other versions which took a while for me to appreciate. And I think it’s because the members look the most normal in this version, they are familiar and this is the only version where they are smiling and they look relaxed as well. Plus in the individual photos, different members feature in some of the shots of a specific member and you can feel their playfulness and their bond. This puts me at ease as the viewer and I also can’t help but mirror their smiles. With this version, we get to see a side of the members which is the one we are all familiar with; 7 guys being together and having fun in all that they do. It makes me think that the concept photos of this era are showing the various personas and/or egos of BTS as they experience and deal with fame. 

And the reactions the different versions have produced in me, highlights how BTS are presenting these sides of themselves to the world to express their perspective of experiencing worldwide fame. It’s not always so cheerful and pleasant for them as some of these versions depict. BTS have had to confront and deal with the shadow of fame and my discomfort with some of these photos that display metaphorical shadows conveys my reluctance to engage with BTS in photos where their struggles are displayed and their smiles are lost. And acknowledging this has helped me appreciate all the concept photos because that’s their reality and I cannot ignore it. These version 4 photos are all the more precious to me and I like that they were released last because it’s like a reassurance that BTS will carry on, shadows and all. 

Finally, this group photo is amazing, because though they are in black and white it doesn’t matter. Their smiles light up the photo and their playful personalities seem to demand the orange/yellow doodles around them. It’s as if even without the doodles, their lively and playful demeanour would make us imagine the cute drawings around them anyway. That’s what BTS are like. Together, they are so filled with this wacky, cheerful, and animated energy, that it amuses anyone who witnesses it. These version 4 photos are but one testament to this.
