Drama Review: In Family We Trust (2018) (Thai Drama)

My first Thai drama review is coming from In Family We Trust (2018). First, let me tell you how I found this drama and decided to binge-watching it. I often see this title when I scroll Netflix but never trying to watch it till someone attach me. My whole reason to start this drama is Thanapob Lee or we can called him Tor. He’s one of the main actor in this drama and I love him in his next drama Hua Jai Sila (2019). I think his acting in that drama is really good, he’s perfect potraying his character so I want to find out his another project. To be honest, before this drama I already see him in several movie like Ghost Lab and May Who? and shockingly he’s cameo in the end of The Stranded (Netflix series) but I don’t have any idea that it’s him all this time. Really Hua Jai Sila make me open my eyes and make me found this worth-watching drama.

So here I am ready to review this family drama with a touch of mystery and plot twist story that you can find it in Netflix. When I see the title, I already familiar with that name like I think I see this a lot when I scroll Netflix and just need like 3 days to finish this!!! This is one of my favorite genre, I’m weak with family drama and really love with plot twist story. Because this is a family drama, of course there are so many character in this drama. They’re of course a big family, Jiraanan family. Grandpa or called A-goong and Grandma we called A-ma have 5 children (but we only see 4 children in this drama) and of course their children have their family too.

So in the beginning of the story, we’ll be seen that each of Jiranaan family are get along with each other well and prepared to celebrate their A-goong birthday. A-goong and A-ma eldest son is Prasoet, followed by another son called Mate, and they have a daughter called Phatson, and the youngest son is Konkan. I think they have another child that already passed away because we can see one grandson that live together with A-goong and A-ma. Of course their sons and daughter have child too, so the family become much bigger. Let’s see the family tree first so we didn’t confused.

From the left, the son is Prasoet (Songsit Rungnopakunsi) and right beside him are his wifes. The one in the right is Cris (Sopitnapa Chumpanee) and their son is Pete (JAYLERR). This is the family that he brought into Jiraanan family.

Little does his family know, he had another son with another women who claimed to be his girlfriend in college. His another wife is Nipha (Apasiri Nitiphon) and his son Chi (Ice Paris). From the picture below, we can see Prasoet really love his second family eventhough they’re not officially Jiraanan’s family. This drama will revolve around Prasoet so finally in the end all know that Prasoet has another family beside his family with Cris and Pete.

Next, is Mate( Saksit Tangthong) and his daughter Meimei (Sawanya Paisarnpayak). Mate always pick up Meimei at school. This is quite a little family, but Mate really love his daughter and vice versa. The only daughter left in Jiraanan family is Phatson (Kathaleeya McIntosh). Phatson married with a police and automatically her last name changed into Suriyapairoj. They have 4 sons, the eldest is Yi (Thanapob Lee), 2nd is Ern (Captain Chonlathorn), 3rd is Tao (Third Lapat) , and youngest is Toei (Jackie Jackrin) who in the same age with Meimei. To be honest I love this family the most. So lucky that Phatson has 4 son that love and protect her. Next, they didn’t introduce the parents but A-goong and A-ma has grandson that live together with them called Kuaitiao (Porsche). Last, youngest son is Konkan (Lift Supoj). If we can choose which one is the most chill family, we could say that Konkan family is very chill~ They have 2 son, Vegas (JamyJames) and Macao (Ryu Vachirawich). (The parents like casino very much🤣).

So enough with the introduction, and I will tell a little bit of the story before doing an overall review.

This suspense drama revolves around the Jiraanans, a wealthy Thai-Chinese family that operates its own hotels in Bangkok and Pattaya. The drama follows the members of the family, which seem to enjoy a strong and unbreakable bond. But things are not what they seem. One day, the eldest member from the second generation mysteriously turns up dead in the family estate. His nephew Yi, the oldest son of the victim’s sister and the prime suspect in the case, desperately tries to find out the truth. Source: MyDramaList

Before an incident happen in Jiraanan’s family, all of them just celebrate A-goong birthday together. It is so warm to see a big family gather together, it must be a happy day for A-goong and A-ma that they live till now to see their son and daughter with their little family and have a handsome and beautiful grandchilds. We also can see that the grandchilds really love their A-goong and A-ma. It’s like their family are in happiest moment. Even they took a family picture together.

But who knows, that it’ll be A-goong last birthday. A few days after they gather together, A-goong passed away. This is the real beginning of the story about dark secret that Jiraanan’s family have but no one knows anything about it even the family itself. After A-goong death, it just going worse because of the tradition and old generation believe about differences between son and daughter in the family and honestly A-goong make it worse with his last will that shocking all the family because only his daughter that didn’t accept anything related to their business eventhough she work hard build their family business from scratch. All she got only his father savings; money. Instead, the eldest grandson from eldest son got 1/4 share of the family business. All of it, ended up we’ll see Prasoet the eldest son lying still on the floor.

Yes, the eldest son of Jiraanan family was shot dead. He was found first by his sister Phatson who came over to his house talking about their father’s will and end up screaming when saw his brother was dead. Another family at that time in their house hear someone screaming and rush to get out to see Phatson panicked and said that Prasoet was shot in his home so they ran and as we can see in the picture A-ma, Kuaitiao, and Meimei saw that Prasoet lying still on the floor in his bedroom. After that this murder case became the talk of the town, get into the news, so police tried to find the motive why the murderer killed him. Honestly, this event create a most damage for Phatson family. As people know, Prasoet rarely confront someone and had enemy but the last thing he argue with someone, it’s Phatson. But I said in this drama, it’s not over till it’s over. We can’t be sure that the killer is his sister itself because as we go through this we could see that Prasoet had a few secret that we didn’t knew before and it could be a motive to someone done a murder. We just need to see it clearly and evaluate it carefully. I’m not gonna give a spoiler in this review, but I think you guys will guess it right like I am.

My first thought about this drama is I like how the story always give us a new plot twist in almost every near-end episode and make us wanna watch the next episode as soon as possible. This is one way to make us never bored by the story and they can wrap it successfully. Although honestly I can guess the biggest plot twist of this story but still it’s interesting because this drama get some details that we can’t get pass and that’s also give us some plot twist. You can’t guess it throughly, like you can guess this overall plot but still you’ll miss the little part of plot twist that make this story much better. Because it’s a story related to family, it’s really deep even when we already know the real murderer and all we need to see is just see the person in trial, in another drama we usually feel relieved and happy finally the killer is captured. But I think this drama makes me feel more sad and broken?? When we all see the truth, I think the circumstances are not getting better. The story really revolves only between Jiraanan family and the story behind it give us more pain than the murder itself. It’s not easy left by people who we loved especially it is a family, but it is more painful when we know that the one who doing it also our family. But I can say that all of this happens because of karma from their all bad action that happened in the past. When we know literally all the truth we finally realized why all of this happen to them, because every each of them are deserved it. But it’s all in the past, so eventually we must move on. In the end, life goes on. They’re still our family. We just need to let go of the past, and open a new chapter because only family is the place that we can lean on again. I can really feel it how every character in this drama just doing everything that they could to save their family. They’re not bad people, they’re just doing everything to protect their family. Lesson learned from this drama;

Family is the most important thing in our life because in the end it’s only family that we can go back into, and only family that will stay on our side and tried the best to support, protect, and defend if we get into problems. They’ll do anything. But without us knowing, the closest person that standing with us that can hurt us the most, is family too. But in the end, because the name of ‘family’ that will lead us back together and family is the only place that we can still lean on. Mistake happens all the time.

For each family, if I have to choose whose family I love and attached the most, I would say that I really like Phatson family. I can feel their warm family and all of their sons are really get along well. They always root for each other, trying to protect the only woman in the house, their mother Phatson, and the eldest son Yi will do anything to protect and support his family.

One of my favorite scene is when Tao the 3rd son is a celebrity and when he feel he can’t hold back anymore he burst out to his brothers because only them that can give him comfort and feel protected. It’s also my best scene when they give us this brother scene gather together in one room and talking about anything and end up sleeping together on the floor. I can see from that scene, how they think that family is everything and they’ll never let them down because they have each other.

For the character, I have a few character that I like and attached my attention:

My favorite character; I got 2 character that I love, but first the character that I love the most is (of course) Yi. Despite in this drama his character more leaning to the bold action, like doing anything in a rush, bluntly, and doing a few illegal action but I think he did his best for his family. I don’t understand why he must critized by society in the drama because of his action? I think what he did was right because he already doing everything right and ask everyone that connected but no one helping him instead they just block him away. We can see that he never intented to hurt anyone else too so I’m pro to Yi side. I love his scene with his youngest brother, Toei. If I’m Toei, I’ll cherish Yi all of my life till I die. Because when everything is too hard for him, only Yi that confidently always stand on his side. (okay enough it’s a little spoiler). From this drama, I think I know why Thanapob Lee finally got casted in Hua Jai Sila. I noticed him because his acting in that drama was really really good, I can feel all his emotions there. It turned out here we could see him potray Yi perfectly, and it’ll really help him to get his next drama. He’s not only smart and catch the little detail in his family, but his action is always on point eventhough not all of that is always a right thing. But sometimes to get what you want, you need to do a little more dramatic so the thing you want will show up.

My favorite character; The next character that I like is Pete. Unexpectedly, for sure. To be honest I don’t think that his personality is thaaat nice. It’s about his first impression. When I his first scene with his mother, my first impression of him is he’s a boy who like to spent their parents money for fun and study abroad so he can get away from his parents to have fun🤣🤣 in my opinion; he loves money. TURNS OUT I’m 100% wrong. Pete is the most responsible person in this drama. His responsibility and his fair judgement is the best. He didn’t judge people by his relationship, if he know that this person is wrong then it’s wrong. I love how his attitude to his father’s another family. I just thought he’ll upset and didn’t accept them, turns out he accept them, and he cares them just like his father would do if he’s alive. You deserve happiness, Pete!

Ice Pariss as Chi. He doesn’t have much screentime but still his character ini this drama really shocked me. Kinda same with Pete. Look the picture above. Both of them looks like they have a personality that have anger issue but actually not. I watched his drama and movie like Bad Genius The Series and Ghost Lab, and I didn’t like his character but I admit that his face suited the most for that kind of personality. Being a jerk, brave action without thinking, not a literally bad person but not really a good personality too. So I thought he’ll become a jerk too since his dad didn’t bring their family to Jiraanan family and only went to their house 1 time/week. So what did he expect? But he has good attitude even to his step brother, he’s really polite and when he know that his family didn’t get single penny from his father’s will he accept it. He didn’t get mad eventhough in the end of his dad ‘s life, his mother was the legal wife. HE ACCEPT IT WHOLEHEARTEDLY. Okay, respect Chi!

From Pete and Chi, I learned that Prasoet maybe not the best brother, best son, best husband, and best father. But he did really well raising both of his sons to the point that his sons really have a good attitude and personality. I adore their personality so much!

(This is one of the difference between this drama and another drama. It is usually the first son didn’t accept that father has another family and another son demand his part from father’s will and clashed BAM!)

My appreciate for Jackie Jackrin for his acting as Toei. I just know him from this drama ( I think) and he’s potraying Toei really good. I can’t tell too much since it’ll become a spoiler but he can pour his soul and heart so well in this drama. I can see how much he adore his brother Yi so much and wanna say that you did it, you made it to survive with your consistency. You didn’t loose yourself just to make you free when your mother told you to do something. I think Yi had a big part that made Toei become a better person and learn from his mistakes.

The most disappointing character of this drama is *give an applause to* Vegas!!! This is the opposite of Pete. I put a lot of hope for him in this drama that he’ll become one of the rightest people but turns out a big nope. At the very beginning he shows us that he’s honest, fair, doesn’t like act wrong and even brave to tell his father lies. He’s the right person. But as the drama continues, we reach a point that Vegas just an ordinary boy who still has heart. His love is bigger than his principle. The only thing that I hope will be released in this drama, turns out it’ll hidden forever till end because of him. It’s the only proof that clearly helping this case but he choose to hide it forever. Another lesson learned I took from Vegas;

Sometimes we just know that human is not perfect. A person who always doing the right thing, eventually will become a bad person if someone we really love and cherish got a problem. They can ruin their life principle as long they can save their loved one. And often happens that the loved ones is Family.

In this family drama we learned that culture and tradition are taking a big part in our family. When a son and a daughter have a big gap in it, when a daughter didn’t considered as part of family just because she married a man and took his last name. Like having a daughter didn’t as good as if having a son. But actually if I think about it, the one who give birth to is a woman????? Why then a son is more valuable descent. They also differentiate their grandson status into a primary grandchild (son and daughter of the son’s family) and secondary grandchild (son and daughter from daughter’s family). But still we couldn’t get rid of the culture and tradition entirely. We just need to adapt well to the good culture and sort the not-so-good culture better.

Overall, I’m really happy that I found this Thai drama. I watch several dramas from Thailand but never found this kind of genre. A family drama that really warms heart but with a touch of mystery and dark secrets in it. But not like another drama that compete for power and will doing everything evil things between family and make things chaos and ruin their relationship as a family because their greedy and selfish will. In this drama we’ll have a dark secret but it’s not always about money, and I still feel their deep kinship, how this problems solved legally but a touch of their kinship because of their dark past. They need to let it go and open the new chapter because life still goes on for the living one.

Since I really love this drama, I’ll give 4.5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨. Thank you Tor for making me found this drama!

Drama Review: Mouse

I’ve been active lately because I have another drama worth-reviewing for the 2nd quarter of 2021. This drama one of the most complicated story I’ve ever watched. Tips for watching this drama: keep focus and pay attention to all scenes because the details really help you understanding the drama. This story really not as simple as you think, like other drama we find who the villain and protagonist is the main lead, but this drama is not just about that. We’ll be given another plot twist in every episode and suspicious to every character.

The poster describe our main lead in this drama. I’ve been following all SeungGi drama since My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho. Actually he was the man that introduce and lead me to K-drama. My first drama was My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho and I love Lee Seung Gi. I think he always took a good drama and when announced that he’ll take a role in this drama, I’m really excited. As for the other three I knew them but not quite follow their acting career but it turns out they really good portray their character especially the one who played as Go Moo Chi. This drama will center on Jung Ba Reum (Lee Seung Gi) life.

Jung Ba-Reum (Lee Seung-Gi) is a rookie police officer, working at a police substation. He is an honest person and tries to attain justice. He faces a psychopath murderer, who places the entire nation in fear. Jung Ba-Reum’s life is totally changed afterwards.

This picture above show us how our main lead meet each other. When Bareum trying to save injured bird, Go Moo Chi car is blocked by them. They’re police and trying to catch psycopath that killed their important people. We got police as our main leads, television producer, highschool student that will become the main story and also a doctor as a candidate of psychopath and another doctor that proved as a psychopath.

Welcome, this is Han Seo Jun. One of the psychopath that shocked the public because he’s a great surgeon and has a nice reputation before a child revealed him as a psychopath and murder his parents. He’s the cause that this drama exist haha because he was succeed gave his psychopath gene to his child. You can’t say that his child will inherited his father gene 100%, but this is spoiler that Han Seo Jun really succeed. His child really have no emotion and smart, qualified to become the next psychopath.

SPOILER *(I know if you treated better, you didn’t have to become like your father *cries*)*

This is the first candidate as Han Seo Jun child or the new psychopath. Sung Yo Han. If you see his face and expression, he’s really suited to become the next psychopath. And he’s a doctor. Han Seo Jun also a doctor. And it turned out that his mom is Han Seo Jun ex’s wife. Automatically become the 1st and most likely candidate of the next psychopath. I just can say that Yohan was one of the most tragic character in this drama. You deserves better. I’m sorry that people really harsh on you, but believe me I’m always sure that you’re more than psychopath like others said ㅋㅋㅋㅋ.

Meet our main lead, Jung Ba Reum. He’s really kind police officer. But somehow we can’t take out him as the next candidate of psychopath. Jan Seo Jun also known as a kind and humble doctor but it turned out he has no emotion and all of it just an acting. Who knows that Ba Reum actually like that? *(I know I already watched itㅋㅋ)*. But after few episodes, something big happen and it’ll really change Ba Reum life. His life is not the same anymore and will lead the drama to a next level.

The last candidate, but I’m kinda sorry to write this but it’s one of my opinion. This is Detective Shin. I know that it’s not just me who accused him as one of the psychopath because of his father!!! The three of them I think born on the same year, so they were born when Han Seo Jun case was discussed and psychopath test on unborn child was questioned. Detective Shin’s father was one of the important people in government and has a vote to agree or disagree to psychopath test and he chose no because he’s expecting a child after a long time. He didn’t want to let go his baby if it turned out that from the test he has psychopath gene. Eventhough it’s just our speculation but I accused that his child has psychopath gene because of some scenes in the drama. Sorry… In the current timeline Detective Shin’s father also become president candidate while Detective Shin help Moochi and Bareum investigate the predator.

So who’s the real predator here?

We can see that tvN update the new poster after several episodes to show where the story will go. Like I said, something big will change Bareum’s life and it shows in the picture. Kind and innocent image Bareum change to more mysterius and dark Bareum. After watching Bareum’s changes, hm we’ll realized that this drama is more complicated than we think. It’s not just about finding the psychopath, but how we can put all the details that we get into another one story that will blow your mind. Lee Seung Gi as Jung Ba Reum wow he really potrays the character really well, even I the one who always follow Lee Seung Gi’s movie and drama still amazed with his skill in this drama. It applied to Lee Hee Joon that play Go Moo Chi character. Many applause to his acting. He describing sad, sorrow, and losing someone important while angry to situation, he really can describe it well. Argh I really wanna share my opinion about all the details but it’s too much spoiler for the story and I’m sure when you already know too much spoiler, the drama isn’t as good as before anymore.

It was more painful than another psychopath drama because….. we’ll see the story from another point of view that drama usually will show, and I don’t know how the writer-nim can think and make this plot. Because of this, I’m interested to watch this writer-nim another drama. Just a TMI, I heard that Mouse already shows as a cameo in writer-nim previous drama called Black. People said that we can see a few scenes about Mouse drama there but no one realized until the drama really airedㅋㅋㅋ Unfortunately I didn’t watch Black drama so I just knew from other people. Watching this drama feels like we’ll get another perspective about psychopath and I think actually society really made a big impact to create someone’s life. As a parents, you’ll have a big responsibilty of your children. How you raise them, and if you really think about society and peoples judgement but didn’t gave your best to your child then what’s the use??? I kinda hate the mom here. I know she’s scared, but it’s her choice but she can’t take a responsibility for her action. If she believe to her action, I know…. this drama will not be exist 😂😂

So last but not least, don’t forget our child actor Kang Hoon that really portray his character as Jae Hoon really well. I always admire his acting since his acting in When The Camellia Blossom. I’m sure that he’ll be a great actor in the future. His range of acting is really wide considering his age and his experiences. From the start until the end, he give us excellent acting for his character and I hope you will get better and better in the future. Fighting Kang Hoon!

One of my favorite quote but also most heartbreaking scene in this drama:

"In the next life, let’s meet each other when I’m born again as a normal person."

Okay! So I write this like after the night this drama ends and overall I really like the ending with all the plot and genre it’s perfect. Eventhough this drama is really complicated, but they wrap up the ending well. All clear and all scenes are explained well. I can’t ask for more. My rating for this drama is 5 out of 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Please if you really have time and wanna watch this drama, please watch it. It’s really worth it!

Online Concert Review: MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E

Welcome to my first online concert experience! 

어서와~여기는 처음이지?

2020 is a year that gave us unforgettable memory to everyone. This Covid-19 pandemic put us through in a difficult situation. Go outside, meeting with other people, go for a vacation and many activities are halt for a moment, and almost a year just passed by. Who had thought that 2020 would become like this, when everyone have their resolutions, their plans to achieved before 2020 ends suddenly gone with just a blink. All plans need to be revised, we need another plan to survive in this pandemic, how to survive fighting the crisis, and it’s still happening.

Like us ordinary people, BTS also just an ordinary people who can’t beat this pandemic. They need to cancel/re-schedule their tour this year to undetermined time and make a new plans because Life Goes On. The fans also frustrated how they desperately wanna meet them in person and must be postponed until we don’t know when. So they made a new plans, they decided to make an online concert for ARMY. It’s such one of good news that I can take from 2020. Finally there’s a good news between all the news are talking about this pandemic, economic crisis, just bad news everywhere. BTS held a 2-day concert in early October before they released a new album in mid-November. One thing that we must thankful for, that all of this happens in 2020. We can make everything possible as technology growing so fast. Everyone can work from home, school from home digitally, we still can see each other faces thanks to technology. Likewise this concert can be held because of the technology. It’s not just us who can see them perform again, but BTS also can see us cheering for them. Eventhough the price isn’t cheap, but I think it’s really worth it looking all the props, stages, technology, and all the effort that Bighit team and BTS gave to make this concert happens. 

To enjoy this online concert experience you need to prepare a few things. First, you need a internet connection. It’ll really great if you have an good network, you’ll never suffer from buffering or poor quality image for the concert. Next, you’ll need a smartphone or laptop that meet their specifications. For additional like me, I used HDMI cable and connect my laptop to my television so I can see BTS much better, bigger, and clearer on the stage. Thankfully, all worked well until the end of the concert. No technical problem and internet problem. I think they’re already prepare well for this concert. They already expected all the traffic they need to prepared. They started with an incredible performance of ON.

It’s amazing. They started with an energic performance and all things are perfect. The props, stage, their back dancer and marching band, it makes me missing real concert really much but happy at the same time to be able see them again in a concert. Besides their group performances, they also gave us a subunit performance from vocal line and rap line, also their solo performances. It’s a meaningful concert because they’ll perform songs from their MOTS:7 album that never been perform live before so ARMY also really looking forward for this concert!! Not just that, but they also give us an unique moment in their solo performances.

Overall I really like this online concert and enjoy it. Eventhough we only see each other from screen, but we need to believe that we’ll see each other soon. Thank you for making a good concert and I really enjoyed them.🤍

Drama Review: Vincenzo

Welcome to my first drama review in 2021. In this opportunity I want to talk about the newest drama of Song Joong Ki, Vincenzo.

Okay. From the first picture we can see that the drama is dark, too much horrible scene in drama, very heavy genre to watched. That's exactly my first impression and expectation for this drama.

Even we can see from the synopsis, the drama will be dark and heavy topic will be carried in this drama. I was hesitated to start this drama, but honestly I tried this drama because of Joongki ha ha ha. Wow the drama really beyond my expectation. I love it so much! Honestly, I started to love it around Episode 4 and started to think this drama is really interesting. I think the introduction a little bit too slow to get into the main story but if I think again it is necessary to build the nice story in Vincenzo. But to be honest when I watched Episode 1-2 there are times that I think this drama is too long and made me sleepy, and when Episode 4 came damn!!!! I was like this is so cool??? this is my kind of drama?!?! I love the main character so much!!! Eventhough the story is actually serious and dark, I love how the writer and PD nim can wrapped this drama into an exciting drama, funny drama so the audience won't get bored watching this drama and won't get too serious and furious but enjoying this drama. They also make a few plot twist that will be revealed one by one so the audience will not get bored with the plot. I also love how they make Vincenzo have many different looks just because he had his hair different.

We can see how Vincenzo when he get serious and his Mafia mode is on like in the first picture. Then we can see Vincenzo in his relax activity with all his hair down, and how he looks when he carried a mission (psst if you know what a mission he must do while riding a horse ㅋㅋㅋㅋ). Sometimes Vincenzo can be cute too.

This picture above show one of my favorite episode of Vincenzo. I was laughing hard watching this episode. This episode that makes me want to recommend this drama to everyone. Like this is a serious drama, but you can make this episode too. I think I will re-watch this episode😂. When talking about Vincenzo, we can't forget about the other support characters. I love this drama because they make every one of the character is important. They all have their stories and have important role in this drama. At firsr, Vincenzo is trying to get the gold that buried under the building so he must interact with Geumga Plaza residents, but in the end the most precious things that he got are not the gold, but a new family.

I really love how every characters turned out have a secret and how writer nim packed their story to be unrevealed one by one with the plot twist and how it helped Vincenzo to meet their goals. When we talking about Vincenzo, we can't forget about our handsome and cool villains of course. First, we have Jang Han Seo that introduced first as Vincenzo and Cha Young first enemy, and turned back to become one of their squad in the end. Jang Han Seo really have the best character development in this drama.

You'll be missed, the not-smart-but-in-the-end-a-smart-dongsaeng, Jang Han Seo.

Not like his brother, the brain of this villain things, Jang Han Seok played by Taecyeon. Taecyeon really portrayed his character really well. Started as an Cha Young intern, has a bubbly and kind personality, turned out he's an evil psycopath.

He's really the worst. with his partner, Choi Myung Hee. Both are the worst. And I love how Vincenzo made them pay for all their sins. Please watch it if you want to know what happens to them!

Not just about the revenge, thanks to writer and PDnim, they also gave us a little romance in it. Really little romance, but I'm satisfied. Thanks too for the ending. It's funny when Vincenzo and Cha Young had to do a mission,and turned out they trapped in romance mission.

This episode like a turnover and the audience didn't see this coming because of a mission ㅋㅋ But thanks mission, you got us this sweet scene.

Overall, I really love this drama and it becomes one of my favorite drama in 1st quarter of 2021. I give it 4.5 of 5 star for this drama! Really recommended if you need laughter and funny drama but also have a serious plot. If you love antihero character, you will love it!

2021 Grammy Nominees: BTS

Let me introduce you to our first Korean group that nominated in Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at Grammys, BTS!!!!

Finally and officially BTS become GRAMMYs Nominated artist and I'm beyond happy over that. As a person who already watched their journey from the start, of course it's not easy for them. They're not received so much love in the beginning of the debut, but their hard work pays off in the end. I'm not staying with them from the beginning, but I'm staying with them to see them always growing bigger year by year from 2017. I stayed to saw them growing from performing in AMA, performing in BBMA, win award from both of them, invited to GRAMMYs as a presenters, doing a collaboration performance at GRAMMYs, and today finally they officially become a GRAMMYs nominees.

The nominees announcement was streamed on midnight in my country and of course I stay tuned. I got a hunch that Dynamite will get nominations because Dynamite deserves it. When one by one nominations announced, honestly my confidence level descend a lot. I don't know if they'll get nominated at this rate. But I still hoping, there's still chance, it's not impossible. But like last year, if nothing happens then that's okay. It means we just need to work harder and more harder again because honestly all of us know that GRAMMYs is not easy, especially for BTS. When Megan Thee Stallion start reading the nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance my heart's beating faster, one by one and FINALLY DYNAMITE BTS was called as a nominees!!!! Instantly I screamed in the middle of the night because I can't be more proud for them. My heart got warm all of sudden and feels like tears can out from my eyes anytime.

I means, this is what they want. As we know, what Yoongi wants, what Yoongi gets. It's really worth it to waiting this announcement in midnight. It's like a new achievement unlocked again by this group. I'm so happy that they loved by many people and I hope they'll always growing more to become a better person, a better group, and be approved by more people. It's such a good experience for them, and I hope they can prove that anyone who deserve this award will get this award despite of their age, race, gender, and all the diversity should get a fair opportunity.

I'm so happy because as we know that Yoongi is under rehab because of his shoulder surgery, and I know that this thing always brought up by Yoongi in all interviews related next goal. I hope this nomination can be a motivation and passion for him to get better soon and work up his condition so he can join BTS activities as soon as possible and can be celebrate this occasion together with us next year. The other BTS members also posted their reaction got into the nomination and I'm so happy saw their reaction. This is what they want! All the efforts are worth it, thanks to BTS and all the people who helped them to arrived here. Really well-deserved, BTS!

Drama Review: Go Ahead (Chinese Drama)

Wow! An achievement for me. Writing a review for Chinese drama. Never thought that this time would come. Actually, I watched many dramas from many countries, like I watched a little Japanese drama and Thai series too. I always search for Chinese drama if I need drama who have light, fun, cheesy romance vibe, and didn’t have too much bad characters in it. That’s always my mindset for Chinese drama. This few weeks or month? I didn’t found any K-dramas that interesting and I was too reluctant to watch any Kdramas. So I was trying to watch several Chinese Drama that got into my bucket list and starting available in Netflix. Several dramas that I watch before this were Go Go Squid (before found this drama, I think this is the best Chinese drama I’ve ever watched), Le Coup de Foudre, Wait My Youth, My Girl, etc. Till I found this drama on Youtube. Go Ahead not a cliche drama that I can guess where it’ll be heading. Many characters who really bad, tragic fate, heartbreaking story, but also warm family story, friendship, and love. 

First impression from the cover on thumbnail, hm interesting. good. handsome. Picture below was my first impression. What happened with 2 dads and 3 kids? 

Turns out it’s a story about 2 family with no mothers (of course look at the picture!) cared for them, and their dads start to take care of each other and took their 3 kids into siblings with no blood related. Let me introduce you the biggest Gēgē (brother), Ling Xiao the tallest, second Gēgē, He Ziqiu on the right, and little Meimei, Li JianJian, with Ling Dad sitting on the left and Li Dad on the right. Ling Xiao and his parents (yes his Mom) moved into Li family neighborhood. Li JianJian mother’s was dead so Li Dad needs to take care of Li Jianjian by himself. AND he DID really really great job as a father and mom for her. Li Dad was an angel I swear. One day, He Gēgē came to Li’s family because of the circumstances and Li Dad make a decision to take care of him as his own son. Ling Gēgē also left by his mother because of their family problems and I think their mom personal problem. Really, something wrong with his mother’s mind and attitude. I hate her. Because of Ling dad who always busy as a policeman, Ling Gēgē always playing and take care by Li Dad and they agree to take care and treat each other as a real families. It’s become Li Jianjian’s dream for having a big brother and now she got 2 instantly.

They grew up together, really taking care of each other, everytime and everywhere. You’ll get a warm hearted by watching their flashback story. A happy family eventhough they don’t have a mother. I really admire Li Jianjian how she always been cheerful and never feel so little in front of other people. It’s because she already have 2 big brothers that really love her and treasure her. No it’s not over, it’s just starting. When the problems always coming and make this sibling must separated and become far away. JianJian really broke my heart when saw her crying and can’t accept that both her Gēgē will leave her alone. After all this years they’ve been together, how they take care each other, and love each other, they must back to their family who abandoned them. Why she must through this hardship and accept that when it’s the outsiders who left her brothers since they were little. They really separated for a long time, for years, and when they reunited it’s become really awkward moment for them. They become a strangers after all this years. 9 years. When the communication slowly dissapeared. When they didn’t know what to talk about and just send wishes on birthday, new year, and certain events. They also already becoming a grown up. Ling Gēgē is a dentist, He Gēgē is a pastry chef, and Jianjian is a wood sculptor. Interesting, the brothers job was inspired by their Meimei. Jianjian really loves sweets that made her teeth bad. But at the first place they’re family, they just need a little time and space to accept that they’re together again, get used to it,  to become like they used to before. 

I was crying when they need to be separated, when Ling Gēgē must through so much problem that makes him become adult really fast. I love how they potray the character when they were teenagers and after becoming an adult. I can see their growth from the pain and many things. I think the brother’s life were really tragic. They were both abandoned by their mothers, and even one of the mother is really selfish. I really love how they put this story one by one, how their relationship growing into another, like yeah two of the siblings decided to change their relationship to lover. This drama is not just about romance, I think not cheesy romance at least but I love Song Wei Long hahaha. But it’s focused on mental health too. How Ling Gēgē in a mental pressure, nsomnia, and anxiety after all the things he must through in his life, far away from Jianjian and his loved family, how He Gēgē always think that he’s owe all his life to Li Family, always worried as he’s not their real families, and all his fear and worries buried by himself. But I love that they have 2 Dads that always support them, always love them without any condition, and it’s funny when the Dads knew that 2 of them are together in love relationship. 

But one thing that really make this drama more complicated is the loveline really. It’s like the main role and the support role can’t like each other. (IT’S SPOILER) Ling Gēgē likes Jianjian, Mingyue (Jianjian friend) likes Ling Gēgē, He Gēgē friend likes Mingyue, and Tangcan (Jianjian friend) likes He Gēgē friend. It’s like a relay. Why this drama can’t make the supporting role like each other character?! It’s too sad to see a several times broken heart in this drama. Even He Gēgē intend to marry Jianjian, but I think it’s not because he really loves her as a woman, but it more because he really want become a real family legally with her and Li Dad. I’m happy that Jianjian can handle this situation well. But I like it because the siblings are back together eventough it needs 9 years to reunited but they still the same as long time ago.

Overall I really love this drama because of the conflict, story, and have many messages that we can took from this drama. Especially family problem. I’m sure it will make many people crying because the story focused on family problem and how to deal it as you are getting mature and know that life as an adult is not easy especially if you have a selfish mother haha. For the first time I really love the OST in Chinese drama. Like I said, because of the story I think I’m just too immersed to the OST too. I love the acting too. They can portray their characters really well, especially He Gēgē, I always pity him because he got too many crying scenes hahaha he always sad, he deserves to be happy! Ling Gēgē too. I really fall in love with my first Chinese actor. Okay Song Wei Long you’re in! I’m shocked when I knew that their age difference in real life. Their little Meimei in the drama actually a big sister for the brothers. And the biggest Gēgē in this drama is maknae!!! Song Wei Long is born in 1999. OMG even he’s younger than me hahaha. But they can portray their characters well even I can’t see their age gap in the drama. I wrote this when the drama isn’t over yet. So I hope this drama will find their happy ending and I can’t wait and I can’t guess how’s the ending.

For you who bored for Kdramas or wanna trying something new and wanna try Chinese drama, I think this drama is a must for you! You’ll be no dissapointed. I’ll give this drama rating 4.5 out of 5 stars because I haven’t watch the finale and curious to see how they’ll packed up this drama.

Drama Review: The Light In Your Eyes/Dazzling

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

In this post, I wanna talk about another drama that catch my heart and become one of the drama i’ve been watching with the greatest plot twist. In the beginning I don’t have plan to watch this drama at all. I even barely knew about this drama. Honestly I’m not a big fans of Han Ji Min or Nam Joo Hyuk. Somehow one day, my friend just told me that I should watch this drama. He said that this drama has many morals and Nam Joo Hyuk acting was so great compared by his last drama. Often I didn’t watch drama because my friends told me to, but I watch some dramas based on my interest. When my friend told me to watch this drama, finally I’m tried to start watch this drama because I don’t have any drama that capture my heart lately. When I watch Episode 1 and Episode 2, I kinda like it. I like how Han Jimin look in this drama and Nam Joo Hyuk seems to be more hmmm handsome?? and he shows many improvement on his acting! Han Jimin and Nam Joo Hyuk also looks good together until I realize that this drama was about time travel. Not time travel but the main character (Kim Hye Ja played by Han Jimin) was able to controlling the time. She can turn back the time with concequences if she did turn back the time repeatedly, her face and body will getting older faster than it should be.

In Episode 2 I think the real story was begin. Kim Hye Ja will face some hardships that lead her to herself becoming old. So from this episode, the character Kim Hye Ja that played by Han Jimin will be replaced by the old cast (her real name was Kim Hye Ja too). She’ll wake up to see that she’s becoming old. Her parents and her brother was so shocked when saw her coming out from her room and crying. For days, months she is not herself, she still can’t accept that she’s becoming old person. Her ‘some’ friend Lee Joon Ha (played by Nam Joo Hyuk) was left alone when Kim Hye Ja suddenly become old. When I watching this, I always thinking that after she was turning back time their conditions not getting better, it become worse for anyone. For Kim Hye Ja, her family, even Lee Joon Ha. Until Episode 7-8 I was talking to my friend, “I wanna see Han Jimin with Nam Joo Hyuk again, why grandma always showing for all episodes”, “I really dont have any idea where the story plot will end”, “I’m kinda bored because the grandma always showing instead of Han Jimin”. I’m almost gave up to this drama in that episode. All of my friends that watch this drama already gave up on Episode 4. I still survive just because I was very curious how the writer will wrap up this story with all the scenes that I’ve seen. I really have no idea. In Episode 8 I still don’t see a sign that Kim Hye Ja found a clues or a way to get back to her young body.

Until the 9th Episode was shown..... THE GREATEST PLOT TWIST EVER. wow. I don’t think this plot at all. But I read that the director already gives us a clues on the first episode when Kim Hyeja went to outing with her friends and met her sunbae-crush and Lee Joon Ha. They were talking about event that happened a long time ago. Yeah. All this story was a story that we seen from a Dementia/Alzheimer patient POV (point of view). SO WHAT ALL WE SEEN FROM EPISODE 1-9 was hallucination??? The story was made by Kim Hye Ja from all her memories that painful and happy for her. So the Father and Mother turns out was her Son and Daughter-In-Law, Lee Joon Ha that she saw was her doctor, all her friends from the exhibition was her friends at the nursing hospital, her brother was her grandson, and her bestfriends it’s just a past. For the last 2 episodes was so great when they reveal the real story. I think the producers and directors and script writer were a genius. They can make this story different from another looklike story. We already have a several dramas that give us a story about an Alzheimer patient but we often see the story how the family or people surrounded the patient get through this. We never see the story from the patient point of view so this drama kinda fresh. Other than that, this drama still can give you many funny scenes but in the other also give you sad scenes. I can’t resist Son Ho Joon character, he is so funny and Kim Hye Ja & Lee Joon Ha past life also very funny. But in the end we can see how they must through a hard life especially for Lee Joon Ha, he had to through his life hardly until the end. I think that plot twist which make this drama become very interesting and become one of the best drama I’ve ever seen. Eventhough I don’t wanna watch this drama again because it was so sad.

For me this drama worth 4,5 out of 5,0 star. So I recommend everyone to watch this drama while you can! After this drama I’m sure you will treasure more your loved ones. Your love, your family, your friends, even yourself. Thank you!
