Life Update!!

Haven't done one of these in a while! TL;DR moving and getting ready for school!

Big changes are in the works for me. First off - moving. I move in 2.5 weeks 😳 this is big fot me for many reasons. First, I'm moving in with my partner, which I've never done before. Second, I'm living in DOWNTOWN PORTLAND!! HHHHHHH

I never saw myself as a city person. The energy is dense and busy and the city is loud and packed... but. We found a place that is tucked away that doesn't feel like you're in the city at all. Plus, it's pretty close to my school!

This is going to be a total lifestyle change for me. Living in the city, I decided to by a bike and bike to and from school every day, and most places in town. It will save me hundreds of dollars a month that would normally go to gas and parking, which I'm grateful for. But holyy shittt I am out of shape. I'm glad I got my bike early and am getting practice in, cuz I bike for 10 minutes and I get back sweaty and dying 😂😂

Anywho, that's what most of my time and energy has been going to lately!! Been planning the move and finishing up with work and stuff.

But I'm sooo excited to start school!! I'm so excited to start learning Chinese medicine and more about chi and health and healing. It's going to be SUPER cool and I'm sure you'll see me talk about it here alot (:

I've also been working on becoming a healthier version of myself. I've been doing a ton of self reiki and that has made an incredible difference in how I've been feeling and doing.

I've also been doing an immense amount of mindfulness practice and meditation. The past couple of months I have spent most of it just riddled with anxiety and trauma responses and being disassociated most of the time. Mindfulness has been really helping me stay grounded and seeing when I'm getting caught up in a thought or emotion, and coming back to the center.

All in all, big big changes! While I'm kinda scared and nervous about it (it's in our nature to be, after all), I'm ultimately extremely excited, and grateful to finally be pursuing my dreams.
