You Still Love Me?

Daniel LaRusso x Reader

Warnings: Some Adult Language, Break Ups, Angst, Fluff, Embarrassment, Loneliness, Bullying, Jealousy, and Possible Grammar Errors. (Sorry if I forgot any!!!)

Summary: Y/N and Daniel dated but a fight caused Y/N to break up with him. When Daniel starts seeing a new girl Y/N lets her jealousy get the best of her and she does something she has never done before.

Author’s Note: Here is my first Daniel LaRusso story so I hope you all enjoy. Most of my stories will take place during the Karate Kid timelines. I might write some that take place during Cobra Kai I just haven’t decided yet. This story takes place between Karate Kid One and Karate Kid Two!

Y/N didn’t have much of a love life till a boy named Daniel LaRusso came into town. Y/N remembers the day she met Daniel like it was yesterday. When her eyes met his eyes for the first time, she felt something in her that she has never felt before.

Daniel wasn’t Y/N’s first crush since she’s been on dates with other boys before but those were more of flings than relationships since they only lasted three to four dates. One boy she never even finished the first date with him because she felt like he was driving her up the wall.

All of Y/N’s friends knew Daniel was different from all of the other guy's Y/N went out with. Everyone really thought that Daniel was the one for Y/N, but they were wrong.

Y/N and Daniel had been together for almost five months when one night everything came crashing down. Y/N doesn’t even remember what the fight was about since it all happened so fast, but she will always remember the last thing she said to Daniel before she left. She told him she was done with him and walked out the door slamming it behind her.

Y/N and Daniel have seen and have spoken to each other since the breakup since they are friends with the same people. Everything was okay with Y/N till after a month since the breakup when Daniel started seeing another girl. Y/N couldn’t help but feel hurt seeing Daniel move on so fast. When she sees Daniel with his new girl, she couldn’t help but feel jealous. She hated feeling jealous because she’s the on that broke up with him.

Y/N was at her house all by herself like she always was. Her parents are the owners of a law and business company, so they are always working. Y/N couldn’t help but feel lonely in the big house. When she was with Daniel, he would always be at her house with her which took away that loneliness she felt.

Y/N was sitting in the living room flipping through the channels on the tv trying to find something to watch. When she heard the doorbell ring, she let out a sigh. She put the remote control onto the glass table and stood up from the couch.

She walked up to the front door and opened it to see her best friend, Ali. “Hey Ali.” Y/N said stepping to the side so Ali could walk inside. “Hi.” Ali said with a smile walking inside. “Are your parents' home?” Ali asked her. “That’s a stupid question.” Y/N told her as she closed the door. “Oh yeah right, sorry.” Ali said as her cheeks turned red in embarrassment. “It’s cool.” Y/N told her in reassurance.

“What brings you by?” Y/N asked her walking back over to the couch with Ali following behind her. “Are you still coming to my party tomorrow night?” Ali asked her sitting down onto the couch with Y/N. “Of course.” Y/N answered her.

“Why do you ask?” Y/N asked with a hint of confusion in her tone. “Daniel called me earlier asking if it was okay if he could bring Claire to the party with him.” Ali told her. “Oh.” Y/N said in a soft tone as she looked down at her hands that were resting on top of her lap. “I told him I wanted to talk to you first.” Ali told her. Y/N just gave her a nod as she just fiddled with her fingers.

“Y/N if you aren’t comfortable with Claire coming, I’ll tell Daniel that it’s not okay.” Ali told her. “I rather have my best friend at my party than some girl I barely know.” Ali added. “No, it’s okay.” Y/N said looking up at her. “Daniel can bring her.” Y/N told her. “Are you sure?” Ali asked her. “I just don’t want you to feel uncomfortable.” Ali added with concern in her voice. “Why would I be uncomfortable?” Y/N asked with a hiss. “I’m the one that broke up with him.” Y/N reminded her. “I’ll be fine.” Y/N told her. “Okay.” Ali said with a nod.

“I’ll go home and call Daniel back.” Ali said standing up from the couch. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” Ali said. “See you tomorrow.” Y/N said back. Ali gave her a soft smile and then made her way out of the house.

Once Y/N heard the front door close shut she picked up the remote control back up and went back to flipping through the channels.

At the party Y/N couldn’t take her eyes off Daniel and Claire. Every time she sees him touch his hand or arm, she feels this burning sensation in the pit of her stomach. Seeing Daniel smiling and laughing with Claire made her feel sick to her stomach.

Y/N was talking with some friends when she saw Claire walk away from Daniel. Claire was standing at the table where all the drinks were at. “I’ll be right back.” Y/N said to her friends. Y/N walked towards Claire and completely lost control of her actions. When she was right behind Claire, she used her right elbow to shove Claire into the table. Claire fell into the table knocking it over. The drinks fell off the table and were spilled all over the floor. Half of the drinks spilled all over Claire drenching her whole outfit. Everyone around started to laugh at Claire. Y/N was just staring down at Claire. Y/N was in shock at what she just did.

Daniel ran over to Claire. He saw what Y/N did. “Y/N! What the fuck are you doing?” Daniel asked her in a snappy tone looking up at her with a glare. “I-I don’t know.” Y/N stuttered since she was still in shock. Daniel just shook his head and put all of his attention on Claire who was trying to hold back the tears. Claire’s face was all red since she was in embarrassed. Daniel helping Claire up off the floor. “Let’s get you cleaned up.” Daniel told her. Y/N watched Daniel walk away with Claire.

Y/N was sitting outside on Ali’s porch. She was sitting on the top step by herself. She feels awful for what she did to Claire. She let her jealousy get the best of her.

“Y/N.” She heard a voice say her name. When she looked up, she saw Daniel standing there with an angry look in his eyes. “You want to explain to me what you did?” Daniel asked folding his arm over his chest. “I don’t know okay it just all happened so damn fast.” Y/N told him with frustration in her voice.

“Why?” Daniel asked her. “What?” Y/N asked in confusion. “Why did you do that to Claire?” Daniel asked her with frustration in his tone. “Ali told me you were fine with me bringing her here and then you do this. What the hell, Y/N?” Daniel said with a snappy tone. “It’s because I’m jealous alright!” Y/N told him standing up. “What?” Daniel asked taken by surprise as he unfolded his arms.

“I know I have no right to be jealous because I was the one that broke up with you, but I realized that I was fucking stupid.” Y/N told him as tears started to form in her eyes. “Y/N.” Daniel started. “Do you still love me?” Daniel asked her. Y/N just gave him a nod. “Y/N.” Daniel said in a soft voice as he looked at her with a sad look in his eyes. He went to go take her hand, but she stepped away from him.

“Doesn’t matter. You have Claire.” Y/N told him trying to hold in her tears from falling but she failed. “Y/N-” Daniel started to say but she cut him off. “I fucked up and that’s the end of the story.” Y/N told him.

She walked down the steps and to her car. Daniel watched her get into her car. Y/N started her car up and drove away. Daniel let out a sigh and walked back inside the house.

It was the next day and Y/N was spending another day alone at her home. She was laying down onto the couch in the living room watching a movie. She was wearing a t-shirt and a pair of black sweatpants. Y/N was exhausted since she barely got any sleep last night. She got home a little after ten the night before. She couldn’t fall asleep because she couldn’t stop thinking about what she did to Claire. She feels awful and wished she could go back in time and change what she did. Y/N has never done something like that before. Y/N isn’t known for being mean and causing pain towards others because she’s not that type of girl. Ali had called her to talk about what happened, but Y/N just ignored the calls.

Y/N was starting to drift off to sleep when she heard the doorbell ring. Y/N let out a loud groan as she sat up. She lazily got up off the couch and walked over to the front door. She was expecting it to be Ali but when she opened the door, she was wrong.

“Hi.” Daniel said in a soft voice. “Hey.” Y/N said shocked to see him. She saw the tired look in his eyes. He must’ve had a hard time sleeping last night, too. “Can I come in?” Daniel asked in a curious tone. Y/N gave him a nod as she stepped to the side for him to walk in.

“Claire and I aren’t seeing each other anymore.” Daniel told her walking inside. Y/N shut the door and looked at him with a sad look in her eyes. “Shit! I’m so sorry Daniel.” Y/N told him feeling responsible. “I can talk to her for you.” Y/N told him, but he shook his head no.

“I’m the one that broke up with her.” Daniel told her. “Why?” Y/N asked with a surprised look in her eyes. “I couldn’t stop thinking about what you said to me.” Daniel told her. He took one of her hands into his and this time she let him.

“I still love you, too.” Daniel told her giving her hand a light squeeze. “I was wondering if you would like to give us another try.” Daniel said with a soft smile forming on his lips. Y/N’s lips turned up into a smile, too. “Yes.” Y/N said with a nod.

“Can I kiss you now?” Daniel asked making Y/N let out a giggle. “You don’t have to ask.” Y/N told him. She used her other hand to pull him down. She connected her lips with his’s.
