y/n feels the familiar burn behind his eyes, the tears start to roll down his cheeks, making goosebumps rise on the back of his neck at the feeling. despite his blurry vision, he can very clearly see the words on the screen of his phone.

jae-bear 🥰: 'i think we should break up.'

the young male rereads the message over and over, the shock traveling throughout his body, like waves crashing along the shore of a beach. he places his phone face-down on his bed and he stares at his socked feet, not really focusing on one particular thing.

y/n thinks back on his relationship with jaeyun. the two were both just 13, they had no idea what it took to be in a functioning relationship. the two would meet up every morning before classes began, then they would walk to their classes, holding hands. they would exchange short pecks on the cheek whenever they would part ways, and they would enjoy their lunch break together.

it was always y/n and jaeyun. never one without the other.

y/n sighs as he steps into the unfamiliar building, his hand coming up to lightly scratch his chin. his eyes dart around in all directions, hoping to see a map on the wall. seeing none, he decides to just walk in a random direction in hopes of finding either a map of the school, or the main office.

as y/n walks, his eyes glued to his phone, he bumps into a wall. well, he thinks it's a wall, but then he remembers that walls don't make human-like exclamations of shock.

y/n's phone flies out of his hand as his body stumbles backward from the impact. y/n's face heats up from the embarrassment of being so distracted that he actually smashed into another person.

as his mouth opens to spout out a million apologies, his eyes land on the person he ran into. he's met with a very familiar face.

moon jaeyun. his ex-boyfriend from the 7th grade (...could he really be considered a boyfriend?).

y/n stares for a while. jaeyun still harbors the same features, but more mature, more adult. y/n thinks jaeyun looks so much like his dad.

"oh my god, y/n? is that you?" jaeyun says enthusiastically. y/n snaps out of his trance and he smiles gently. the two may have broken up forever ago, but there was no bad blood left behind.

"yeah, it's me. how have you been, jae?" y/n asks, still using the nickname he gave jaeyun when they first met. y/n almost apologizes for using it, feeling like it's too soon.

jaeyun doesn't seem bothered by it because he keeps smiling and even picks up y/n's phone and the tote bag he dropped during the collision.

"i've been pretty good! life's not terrible, you know?" jaeyun says, talking to the other male as if no time had passed in between them. "i had no idea you were coming back this year, but i'm really glad you did! we have to catch up!"

y/n realizes that the air feels light, like it used to when he would hang out with jaeyun outside of school, when they were alone at each other's houses, laughing and making jokes.

"yeah, i was doing online classes at first, but i realized that i desperately needed human interaction. so here i am," y/n explains, taking his items from jaeyun. their hands touch and it seems as if the two of them felt the same tingling feeling on their skin.

they look up at each other with wide eyes and warm cheeks. they both break out into cheesy smiles and soft laughter.

"hey, let's get lunch together. you're still obsessed with pastries, right?" jaeyun breaks the stare-down, his hands moving to take out his phone.

"i was not obsessed with pastries back then! i just really liked them!" y/n defends himself, his arms crossing over his chest as he shakes his head.

jaeyun rolls his eyes playfully before speaking. he knows y/n hasn't changed much since middle school, at least personality wise.

"whatever, you always begged to go to our boba spot because you wanted their cherry tarts! you ordered it every single time!" jaeyun says with a laugh, pointing an accusatory finger at his old friend.

y/n's eyebrows raise. had jaeyun really remembered his favorite treat from the boba place they frequented?

"i can't believe you remember that. before you go," y/n starts, taking jaeyun's phone from his hand and opening the male's contact list, his finger scrolling until he spots his name.

"my number hasn't changed. see you at lunch, jae-bear."

MYUNGHO: neither of you two knew exactly how it started. all you could remember was myungho returning home to the apartment before his lips ended up on yours. being alone and needy all day, you couldn't help but let the innocent kiss become something more. he sensed this as his hands began to roam under your silk t-shirt. he smirked when it elicited a pretty moan from you. "hey hyung i- oh my god!" yungyu exclaimed, covering his eyes. myungho immediately removed himself from you. "yungyu! what are you doing here?!" myungho asked in surprise, and slight annoyance. still covering his eyes, yungyu replied, "you forgot this," as he threw his sweatshirt at him before exiting as quick as he could. you laughed, "you ruined the child's innocence!" "shut up."

JAEYUN: "can i have a kiss?" you pouted, laying on jaeyun's lap and looking up at him. "jagiya, the members will catch us!" jaeyun countered. "you don't love me," you frowned. "oh stop it," jaeyun rolled his eyes. but one more glance at your puppy dog eyes caused him to cave. "here," he sighed, leaning down to capture your lips in a sweet kiss. but you had ulterior motives, as you gripped his sweatshirt and wouldn't let him go. "y/n-" he mumbled a protest against your lips, but couldn't stop himself when you pulled yourself up to kiss him properly, hands getting a bit naughtier. jaeyun smiled at this. "you're so naughty, aren't you?" "you both are," minho replied. you two froze, glancing over to the guy in the corner of the room. "get a room honestly."

MINHO: you didn't think anything of it when you first got to the dorms. you thought it was a simple movie night with the boys. but when you felt minho's hand slide up your thigh as the other boys got sleepier, you felt a discomfort between your legs. you sucked in a sharp breath, trying to steady your heart. but he noticed and leaned in towards you, kissing your jaw. "need something?" he whispered, quiet enough so the others wouldn't hear. they were too focused on the movie to notice anyway. the second y/n turned her face towards minho, their lips met. she carefully wrapped her arms around his neck as her leg swung over on his lap. "if you start moaning i won't be able to here the movie-" myungho complained. "oops."

YOONSUNG: yoonsung smiled to himself as he saw you making dinner in the boys' dorm's kitchen. you looked so pretty, even with flour on your face and your hair all messy. "little miss chef today huh?" he whispered, his arms wrapping around your waist from behind and his head resting on your shoulder. but this sweet moment didn't last long when he turned you around and surprised you with a passionate kiss. "yoonsung-" you protested, hand on his chest. "what? i know you like it," he teased. his smile was innocent, but the placement of his hands were not. "omg no eww eww eww!" screamed seungheon, quickly exiting the kitchen with a cookie in hand. you two giggled at each other.

HAEMIN: "damn, why do you have to come to my dance practices looking like that?" haemin bit his lip as you walked in with a short skirt and crop top. "because i'm bored," you pouted, head resting in your hands as your elbows rested on the desk haemin was situated at. you took advantage of the fact that your top hung low, giving haemin something to look at. "baby we can't right now," he whined, shifting in his seat uncomfortably as he couldn't tear his eyes off of you. "they'll catch us." "so what if they do?" you smirked, quickly grabbing the collar of his sweatshirt, smashing your lips into his. reluctant at first, he gave in. but all came crashing down when they heard the voice of kyungmin. "hey haemin hyung, you want something to eat or - eww - never mind!"

KYUNGMIN: "kyungminnie?" you asked, holding his hand as you strolled through the park. "yeah?" he tilted his head at you. "what do you think about public sex?" his face flushed, "oh umm, it's... cool i guess," he shrugged. "can we try it?" you asked, looking like an innocent child when you were anything but that. "baby it's fourty-five degrees out here!" he reasoned. "but i need help," you tugged on his shirt. being a very loyal and eager-to-please boyfriend, he gave in. after getting to a more secluded place in the park, he had you pinned against a tree with his lips on yours. "kyungmim, i found you! when you finish - whatever you're doing - we're going to go to the arcade!" haemin announced. "oh well, next time," kyungmin smirked. 

YUNGYU: yungyu was a nervous kisser no doubt. especially when you initiated them. so when you asked him for one while you all were hanging out with the others, he flushed. "right now jagi?" he raised an eyebrow. "yes! you haven't kissed me since last night!" you reasoned. "wow that must be like an eternity for you," he laughed. "whatever you like to tell yourself," you shrugged. looking around to make sure the others weren't looking, you kissed him slowly. yungyu didn't push you away, but instead held your face gently as he tasted your cherry lip balm. "yungyu and y/n, sitting in a tree~" began jaeyun. "stop it!" yelled yungyu, rolling his eyes before kissing you again.

SEUNGHEON: you had absolutely no idea, why your boyfriend has been so clingy. there was no logical explanation you could come up with. but you weren't going to complain. you liked how he'd peck your lips every time he walked by you. and one time, he lingered a bit longer. "seungheon," you laughed against his lips, arms around his neck. "why so lovey today, huh?" you wondered. he only shrugged, holding you a bit tighter. then, you two saw a camera flash out of the corner of your eyes. "omg new wallpaper!" yoonsung giggled. "i swear, you better delete that!" yelled a very flustered seungheon. "what? are you embarrassed of me?" you teased. "of course not silly."

Would be determined. Knows what he wants and knows how to get it

But he'd also be a gentleman, his lips approaching yours slowly a day giving you a chance to pull away if it's not what you want

Right before his lips touch yours he'd whisper “Can I?” and if you nod or say yes, his lips would be pressed to yours so fast

Definitely a good kisser. Seems like he'd have experience. The way his lips move gently against yours, not too aggressive but with a slight neediness to them, would just drive you insane and have you gripping his shirt

He wouldn't do it for too long, wanting to take things slow and make sure he doesn't overwhelm you. Would just smile and rub his thumbs against your red cheeks once you two pull away

Myungho:

Definitely a little shy. Probably trembling slightly and maybe stuttering a little as he approaches your face and asks for permission to keep going

One he gets that permission, his kiss would start slow, his hands sliding up to hold each side of your face as he melts against your lips

Would just love being able to feel the heat on your cheeks and your heartbeat, reassuring him that he's not the only one that was nervous and excited for this

This is just the first kiss though. By the time you get to your second kiss he'd definitely have found his confidence, kissing you firmer and letting his hands sit on your waist or hips

It'd come so naturally. You'd just be joking about something together while hanging out, or shoving each other playfully, giggling. Suddenly he'd pull you towards him and his lips would be on yours, still smiling as he kisses you

You'd just immediately melt into it, so comfortable that you wouldn't even hesitate before reciprocating

He'd wrap his arms comfortably around you and your hands would rest against his chest as his lips press softly to yours over and over

After pulling away, he'd tease the hell out of you, calling you cute from blushing so hard and kissing your red cheeks and nose

You'd just tease him back, saying that he's the one that couldn't hold back from kissing you and he's the one with a face redder than a chilli pepper. Your jokes would just leave both of you giggling again and your lips would find each other again not very long after

Yoonsung:

He'd definitely have taken you out on a super romantic dinner date. Either that or invited you over where he'd set up his own romantic dinner in his living room. Candles lit, soft music playing, rose petals. The set up would have you giggling from how cliche it is

You'd sit down, eat and just chat. Making jokes, him saying little cheesy pick up lines every now and then. You'd catch him looking lovingly at you when you giggle, making your heart race

He'd eventually ask you to dance, and it'd start slow but suddenly it'd be like a whole tango and he's dipping you, leaning over you and pressing his lips hard and clumsily to yours

It'd be quick but leave your lips tingling, staring up at him with stars in your eyes as he blushes a bit from the dramatic display

You'd sit back down and eat dessert but it's like the whole atmosphere between you would've changed. Suddenly you're both hyper, loud, chatty, and just so comfy and happy together

Haemin:

It'd definitely be while you two are on a romantic walk or something, strolling alone together through the cool evening breeze, his hand eventually creeping into yours and intertwining your fingers

He'd suddenly stop and turn to you, grabbing your other hand and pulling you against his chest. He'd slowly look down at your lips, making sure you noticed and you'd be quick to close your eyes, picking up the hint

He wouldn't waste any time placing the most perfect, soft, romantic kiss to your lips, being respectful about taking things slow but his lips still moving against yours in a way that showed you he was needy

He wouldn't go too far being out in public, but once you get back to the dorm he'd be kissing you again in more of a way he wanted to, whispering to you how he's loved you for so long, his hands on your waist

The only reason he'd stop is because another member would catch you two, making you embarrassed and making haemin secretly annoyed

He seems quite handsome and smooth on the outside, but one the inside he'd be so shy and nervous, almost forcing you to make a move because he simply wouldn't

His hands would be shaky but he'd be trying to play off his nervousness with charming words in his deep voice, the shake in his voice and red tint on his face giving away his true feelings

His breathing would get heavy as you lean closer, starting to close your eyes. He's so nervous because it's actually his first kiss, despite him seemingly like he'd be popular with the ladies

It'd be so perfectly clumsy, his lips slightly off centre to yours as his hands pat your arms, making you blush even harder

When he pulls away, he wouldn't be able to say anything at all, just stare, dazed. His brain would be in overdrive, trying to calm himself down while also screaming on the inside. When he finally snaps out of it, he'd bring your hand up to his lips, staring into your eyes as he kisses your knuckles and confesses

Yungyu:

Wouldn't even do it on purpose. You'd just be talking to him and he'd tease you and you'd pout. He'd think you're so cute, he'd just grab your face and start planting kissed all over it, his finally kiss landing on your lips and causing you to squeak in shock

He's not a bad kisser either. You'd think he must've watched lots of videos on how to kiss, your train of thought then wandering to the possibility of him wanting to kiss you for a while

When he finally pulls away, you're stunned and watch as he slowly realises what he just did. He'd be frantically apologising, trying to explain himself with a face so red you fear he might have a fever. It'd be so charming, so him

nothing felt safer to you than the warmth that haemin radiated. with him, the coldest days of winter felt like summer, and the hottest days of summer melted you into a puddle of love. no matter the time of year, being in haemin’s embrace was your favorite activity. you’d spend hours encased in his arms, basking in comfortable silence.

words weren’t important between the two of you; your actions already spelled out your love for each other in blinding lights. every clasp of your hand in his, every cup of his cheeks underneath your palms, and every twirl of your hair between his fingers was enough.

you adored every touch you shared with him, but nothing came close to having your body tangled in his. being trapped in his limbs, smothered in his scent, and cozied in his presence added up to your idea of heaven, and haemin himself represented the gates.

he opened himself up to you every time he closed you in his hold, and this time was no different. even if he tried, nothing could hide everything he felt for you. each rub of his thumb on your back expressed silent affection, and each of his breaths on your shoulder spoke voiceless words of love.

you spoke back to him, burying your face in his neck. you smiled against his skin, and he shivered in response. the sheets beneath you crumpled as your arms lightly squeezed around his torso once, and he did it back. your bodies conversed with each other, and every movement felt as natural as breathing.

your need for air was equal to your need to give haemin every ounce of love in the world. your heart was his, and you always needed to make sure he knew that. conscious or not, you never never missed a chance to convey your feelings to him.

with your lips against his neck, it was instinct to press soft pecks on it. you trailed kisses everywhere you could reach, disregarding the restrictions of your position. each kiss gradually increased the temperature of his skin, and you could feel the heat seep into your lips.

the warmth traveled down through your body, reaching the soul of your chest. your heart was warm, and you could imagine that haemin’s was, too. together, you made a fire incapable of extinguishing. alone, you were a cycle of given and taken warmth, and it was your turn to give.

in the heat of your moment, you abruptly bit haemin’s neck, feeling him flinch simultaneously.

“what was that for?” haemin questioned, his voice as soft as his giggles. his laughs vibrated throughout his body, and they made their way through yours as a result.

“sorry, haem. a little birdie told me to,” you joked, letting yourself laugh along. the wishes of your heart were unpredictable, and you couldn’t help but fulfill all of them.

“could the little birdie warn me next time?” haemin played along, kissing the crown of your head.

“of course,” you assured, your heart nearly soaring out of your chest. the warmth in your heart was no where near gone; you had so much more to give. “in fact, the little birdie is telling me to do it again right now.”

“go ahead,” haemin allowed, stretching his neck a little bit. “i wouldn’t dream of stopping you.”

a small breath escaped his lips before you attached yourself to him again, gently taking his skin between your teeth. he melted further into your body, and you mirrored the affection. you felt somewhat childish, but your heart was fuller than ever, and you could never resist giving it to haemin.

FRESH HUGS AND LAUNDRY SHEETS

yungyu was constantly working hard into the night to practice lyrics or come up with something new. because of this, it was hard to make time for things such as laundry. with nothing but a smile on your face, you take care of these tasks for him, being awarded with many cuddles once he gets home!

there were some nights for yungyu that always ran long. ever since their recent debut, he worked tirelessly to write lyrics and practice his rapping. this hard work and dedication was always something you admired the most about him. 

but before he was your boyfriend, he was your closest friend. during the days of bom. you were always there. to comfort him after a difficult evaluation, to clear his mind from a hard dance.

you worked just as hard to make sure he was taken care of and had lots of snacks to eat. sometimes, you’d even show up just so you could be in his presence. 

jaeyun was always grateful for you to look out after him, but you told him not to mention it. managing seven boys wasn’t an easy feat, but with you, yungyu’s mind was always at peace; so jaeyun knew he didn’t have to worry too much.

of course, since yungyu was one of their maknaes, a lot of teasing followed. it was given, yet you didn’t mind all too much.

“ah, you grow up so fast yungyu! now you won’t rely on your hyungs anymore…” minho teased, seeing the two of you sat in the corner of the dance room together one day.

“hyung!” yungyu laughed nervously, “go bother seungheon, i bet he’s on call with that person he likes right now.”

minho smiled fondly, leaving you guys to go mess with seungheon before leaving back to the dorms.

everyone was so sweet to you, and it truly felt like you were welcomed into their little family. and this night was no different.

you had stopped by when the sun slowly began to disappear. the moonlight was soon overtaking the dark blue sky. after fidgeting with your spare key to their dorms, you came inside and took off your shoes to put them on the rack by the door.

“y/n, hi!” yoonsung greeted you from the couch as soon as you entered.

“hi hi! what’s up? where is everyone right now?” you questioned, plopping down on the couch next to him.

“i was just catching up on a kdrama! haemin is in his room doing whatever he’s doing and jaeyun and minho just left to pick up takeout.” 

“do you know when yungyu will be back tonight?” you tilt your head with curiosity.

“you guys are so adorable, but honestly i’m not sure. him and seungheon were out late last night as well.” he frowns holding a joking hand up to squeeze his heart. “my best guess is three hours.”

“they work too hard for their own good. i’m going to go hang out in yungyu’s room then okay?” you told him, earning a thumbs up before he unpasued his show. 

when you opened the closed door to him and seungheons shared room, you let out the longest sigh imaginable. there were piles of laundry everywhere on yungyu’s side, which ultimately decided what you were going to be doing for the next three hours.

being an idol makes it difficult to do daily (and necessary) tasks to maintain a clean environment, so you did understand. and in all honesty, you didn’t care at all. you loved taking care of yungyu. it was almost like an award everytime he came home to see you and kiss all over your face.

with that, you made yourself busy organizing the different colors of his clothes, making separate piles on the floor. you carried the heavy load to the washing machine, accidentally letting a few socks slip by your grasp as you throw it in. 

you flip the cap up on the detergent to pour it in, letting the citrus smell engulf you. as you continued doing so, making sure all of his clothes get an equal cleaning, you waited patiently in the laundry room for things to finish.

it didn’t take too long for you to transfer the wet load into a dryer with a sheet that would ensure a nice scent. you became very jumpy and excited because you love the warmth of fresh laundry. very easy to fall asleep in.

while you waited, you went back into the room to pick up a few things lying on the floor and change into one of yungyu’s shirts. he loved when you wore his clothes, and you loved the flustered reaction it got out of him. 

making your way back, you take the load and quickly fold everything to put away nicely. you also set out an outfit for him to wear for the next day. once you felt satisfied, you fall onto his bunk with a cozy blanket that just came out of the dryer. 

time passed quickly in the comfort of his bed, that you didn’t even notice when he came home. your head registered voices, but not his.

when yungyu saw you passed out in his questionably clean room, he smiled brightly. leaning on his knees at your side, he shook to wake you up. your barely audible babbles and his clothes hanging off your shoulder made him melt. “baby you look so cute, did you do all of this for me?” he cooed, moving your hair out of your face to kiss your cheek.

“of course..” you mumbled, “i cleaned up while i waited for you, did yoonsung tell you i was going to be here?”

“thank you baby, it really does mean a lot to me. hyung was asleep on the couch when i got home. i just went straight to the bathroom to shower anyways.”

you hummed softly, opening grabby hands for him to embrace you. he climbed next to you, letting your figure get comfy against his.

“have you eaten anything?” he asks, hugging you close. “i ate a bit earlier, wasn’t very hungry.” you whispered against his chest, the feeling of it rising up and down lulling you to sleep again.

“that’s good. seungheon and i worked on a lot tonight so we’ll probably take a day off tomorrow after morning practice.” he told you, rubbing the sides of your arm. “do you want to come with us to the studio?”

“mhm i will.” you close your eyes, leaning into him.

“okay baby, you can go to sleep now.” he plants a kiss on your pouty lips, still a bit blushy from the warmth.

you were always glad to do acts of service for yungyu, he worked so hard, and most definitely deserved it. as you squeeze your body against him, you become familiar with the scent of his body wash still clinging against his freshly washed skin. 

his hands interlock with yours, and you feel happy to be held by him in the comfort of fuzzy blankets that embody citrus laundry sheets.

Yungyu is the type of soft/funny/fun boyfriend

He would put his head on your lap and ask you cutely to stroke his hair

He's a sucker for cuddles and hugs so he would give them even when you don’t ask for it. He's very cuddly and loves hanging on your shoulders

Since he and Seungheon work late, doing lyrics, and practicing their rapping, he'll manage to get some days off to spend it with you.

He'll be too shy to initiate a kiss (guess you will have to do that first)

He would make or buy you gifts on every single date and would cherish/save the gifts you give him. He loves giving gifts so get used to him spoiling you

He would hold and play with your hand/fingers in dates/public/home

Whenever you're studying, he'll make sure to bring you snacks/water, and will make sure you take some time off of your homework

He loves playing pranks and joking around but will later apologize when you get mad because he hates seeing his baby mad.

Matching clothes and shoes with him are a must.

He would remind you how much he loves you and call you when he misses you.

Dates: All his dates are a big deal with him, amusement parks, aquariums, zoos, even movie nights with him, he’ll have tons of snacks and a fort in the living room. He’ll make them special just for you

Seungheon is the clingy/soft/shy kind of boyfriend (beautiful combo if u ask me)

Cuddles (his favorite thing) and hugs are a must

Physical touch is his kind of language so if you aren't affectionate, get used to it

He'd be really down to cuddle you to sleep. He'd have you in his arms all night sharing body heat with you, sometimes even watching ur figure sound asleep with an inaudible smile until he falls asleep to the sight of his beauty

Whenever you guys go on a walk, he'll put one earphone in your ear and the other one in his ear with music playing

He doesn't do much aegyo but you often beg him to do aegyo. You whine and annoy him until he gives in and acts all cute for you and then cringe at himself

He's great at taking care of you while you're sick

He makes you playlists and gives you book recommendations.

He loves playing video games with you like Mario cart or Mario party, anything competitive. He loves to comfort you when he wins the game.

Forehead kisses are a must with him, he loves being little spoon and when you lay on his chest

Date: Cafe, amusements parks, and more. He would also do game nights. When he does that, he will bring you your favorite snacks and gets competitive
