Today I went to my favorite off-leash park for some dogling. I like this dog park because although it's open to the forest trails and park beyond, it's still kind of enclosed into a big bowl shape with benches around the perimeter. It basically funnels the dogs right to you if you sit down, so there is a higher rate of doggo interactions than other parks.

Some dogs from today:

- A large white great pyranees who was the first to trot over to me. She presented me with her big fluffy butt, which I gladly scratched.

- A brown pitbull with a sparkly rhinestone collar who decided I was who she was going to hang out with when the other dogs played a little too rough. She was so sweet.

- Finn, a big white goldendoodle who for some reason made a beeline for me as soon as he arrived. He leaned his whole body against me for a long time and let me give him lots of hugs.

- Hazel and Arthur: Smol and tol pibble duo. Arthur was incredibly outgoing with a big ol' blockhead which he shoved into my lap, whereas Hazel was a pocket pittie who greeted me with very gentle little sniffs.

- Dug (short for Duglas): Long-low chihuahua mix who had the vibe of a long-suffering middle manager. Trotted around after the larger and younger dogs letting them know how he felt about their shenanigans.

- Sandwich the black lab: Was too busy playing for me to say hi, but c'mon, Sandwich?

Had an amazing time riding horses down at the beach in San Diego this weekend. The guide was telling us how this part of the beach is reservered just for horses (and border patrol agents cuz it’s right by Tijuana hence the giant fence.....). We were the only ones out there and got to canter your and down the beach a couple of times which was pure magic.

The ponies were well trained and while they def wanted to race a bit they also would stop on a dime. They didn’t love the waves crashing into them but didn’t mind so much walking in the water.

It’s always been a dream to ride on a beach and it’s been the absolute highlight of California

I joined a Q&A of a published author that writes mainly queer romance. Somebody asked what advice would he give to someone that also wants to write queer rom-com, and said: Just write it! It's going to take time and work, but if you want it you can do it.

And I know it sounds like a simple advice, but for me it was like a revelation cause I asked to myself: What it is stopping you? and I couldn't find a valid answer.

I know I may not be the greatest writer in the world, but that doesn't mean I can't get better with practice. There are so many stories with female bisexual lead that I want to write, cause I feel myself underrepresented in that area. Is going to take time, but I hope I can get a story out someday. And I also hope anyone that wants to write get to see his/hers/theirs story come to life.

I must say, your stories are the best on this app, really well written. I remember reading your story about August, A Perfect Day, it was a beautiful story and I just read it again and felt the same excitement ❤️

May I suggest doing a second part for it? It’s quite sad, so if you prefer to leave it there it’s totally fine.

Maybe the next part can skip to August being alone with the dog, and reader was kidnapped or hurt by an enemy. I noticed he wasn’t too fond of the dog, and never said to her I love you.

I think this will be an interesting take 🙊

Hey darling, thank you for your compliments and for reading the story again. It gives me comfort to hear that my stories move people and that they linger.

I don’t have plans to write a second part for this story. I think it’s complete as it is now and I like it the way it ends and the statement it gives. So no kidnapping. I’ve done that trope before. Also the person threatening them is Haunt, which is by canon, the good guys… so it doesn’t fit the plot.

August was fond of the puppy, it says his lip was about to give a smile and he didn’t need to say he loves her because it was all showing in his actions.
