(also LMFAO. yeah okay i can see where leona x jamil shippers come from. i wasn't really into it cuz of jamil's utter distaste for royalty and people in powerful positions n stuff like that, y'know? i figured theyd clash too much, but nvm. i mean they'll still clash, that's inevitable, but there could prob be something there at the same time. who knows.)

he needs the distance. a little sense of tranquillity. quite a bit has happened in the past days, but its deeper meaning is lost on mizrak. at least he tries to convince himself of it. whom he must be loyal to, and whom he wants to be. his low muttering only hypes the frustration, while concentrated heat glacially throbs through mizrak's chest.

an ashen shadow branded in the form of a cross, the necklace he refuses to let go. yet, the healing process is too swift for it to seep into his bones. only an irritable mark is left to distract mizrak from all other stimuli around him ( commit your way to the lord; trust in him, and he will act ). the words are fire in his head, spreading and consuming his thoughts. has it ignited to warm and console or to destroy, cleanse and punish?

"Gem eyes?" Ashitaka looked surprised by this revelation from his favorite wolf girl, then chuckled a bit before stepping closer to her.

"San..." He whispered softly, bringing a hand up to cup her cheek lightly. "My wolf girl. The one with the biggest heart I know."

★ ━━━━━━ She huffed at him past her closed teeth, but leaned her face into his touch, like she used to do... with Moro. She missed her Mother, but she had Ashitaka now, to unite the Humans and Gods together.

"Yeah, your eyes look like sparkly stones, Moro called them "gems" so it fits."

At his compliment she bristled a little, still having a hard time accepting them, even if they came from her lover now... things took time to get used to it all, even sharing sleeping arrangements sometimes. "Thanks." Her cheeks turned red under the paint she wore, and she glanced down at his chest.

Jillian stepped away from the window to face Ava.

"Who? What?"

Ava motioned towards the outside.

"There's nothing to know."

"Been there, done that," Ava replied with a grin. "Wouldn't recommend it."

"… What?"

"Denial, doctor Salvius."

Jillian studied her and scoffed lightly.

"You're young, Ava."

"… And stupid?"

"And brave."

"You're helping us save the world too, you know. What's the worse she can say?"

"That she's a bride of Jesus Christ awaiting judgement day…?"

Ava pulled a face.

"Yeah, I hadn't considered that one… But what's the best she can say?"

Jillian looked out again.

okay, so whatever possessed me to finally tackle my drafts, please, stay 🙏💕 i'm running them on queue over a few days, hopefully in somewhat of a chronological order. i still have to study for my exam, so there might be some delays ─ but guys, i see the finish line!
