“He just- Ugh! He gets on my nerves sometimes…”
“I know… just try not to think too much about it alright?”
It was late at night at the Akiyama household, Ena had stormed off to her safe haven, aka Mizuki’s room, after an argument with her father. She knew he only wished to protect her, but at the expense of crushing her dreams before they can even take flight?
So now there she was, sulking in the arms of her best friend, feeling sorry for herself. Of course Mizuki wasn’t having none of that, but Ena could be quite stubborn. Something she found a bit adorable of the older girl.
“C’mon Enanan, pouting won’t do you any good. It’ll only cause more wrinkles~” Mizuki teased her playfully, nudging her side with her elbow. Ena gave a comedic jump, but her pout only deepened.
“Let me sulk!” the brunnette retaliated, facing away from the pinkette.
Mizuki rolled her eyes playfully, as fun as it was to tease Ena, she still cared deeply for her and hated seeing her so upset. That’s when a whiff of inspiration struck on her, a mischevious grin forming across her lips. Mizuki reached over to the stack of paintbrushes Ena would occassionally leave over, and while the brunnette was too busy being moody, Mizuki took the chance to brush the soft bristless against Ena’s leg
“Gyah!! M-Mizuki..!” the squeal that emitted from her got Mizuki giggling, but that didn’t stop her antics.
“Stay still Ena, I’m trying to draw you something! Let’s see… ‘Ena is the greatest’ no ‘BESTEST artist~♡’” Mizuki made sure to really take her time tracing each imaginary word over Ena’s sensitive skin. Starting from her calf and working her way up to her thigh.
“N-nohoho! Quihit it!!” Ena tried to complain, trying to shake her leg away, but Mizuki held it in a solid yet gentle grip.
“Aww, you moved… Now I gotta start all over again~ Any ideas what I should draw next?~”.
Ena was too busy losing her shit as Mizuki teased her knee with their nails. Making sure to really wiggle under that soft, particularly sensitive spot.
“Oh, I know! ‘Ena is veeeery ticklish and has the most adoooorable giggles~♡’” Mizuki couldn’t tell if Ena was getting flustered from the tickling or the things she wrote, or perhaps both. When she looked up at Ena, she was hiding her face behind a pillow, but the joy in her voice was easily heard. Mizuki smiled fondly down at her, happy that she could get Ena to forget about her worries for a moment and just have fun.
Still, that didn’t stop Mizuki from tormenting her.
“Hmm… how about I use your tummy as a canvas now?~"
“MIZUKI NOHOHO!”
Let’s just say that Ena felt happier after the dozen of encouraging and teasing messages Mizuki ‘wrote’ on her skin.

Saruhiko is very resistant about getting pets because they all just cling to him like lost babies. That until Saruhiko finds a cat that hates him and so he decides that's the one worthy of his love.
He keeps his distance from the cat and decides to feed and kill its thirst every day to become acquaintances to the cat. Then the cat begins to visit his house daily, so finally Saruhiko can pet it. He decides to live a little cat bed or cardboard box with blankets for the cat in his backdoor.
A new friendship begins.
It feels very Fushimi that the only cat to win his love would be some janky stray who dislikes everyone, they’re on the same wavelength. Like generally cats (and all small animals) love him, whenever one of the alphabet boys brings in a stray it immediately makes a beeline for Fushimi and he has to snap at the squad to get this stupid cat off him. Benzai thinks it’s unfortunate that Fushimi dislikes cats so much and Fushimi grumbles that they’re just too clingy, that’s all. One day though he spots this stray wandering around behind S4, Fushimi pauses because he expects the cat is going to come over to him and purr and all that annoying stuff, but instead it hisses at him and hides behind a garbage can.
Fushimi didn’t expect that reaction but it’s fine, he’s glad this stupid cat is keeping its distance. He spots the cat again near the garbage cans a few days later though, tearing up some scraps. It hisses at Fushimi again and runs off, this time ducking behind a box and staring at Fushimi all warily with its tail lashing. Fushimi stands there for a while watching it and then finally he turns to go, the cat slinks back out as he’s leaving and grabs its food before going to hide again. Later Fushimi overhears some of the squad talking, Doumyouji is upset because he tried to pet a stray and it scratched him. Benzai tells him to go get the scratch looked at by the medical team, Doumyouji is all teary-eyed because he just tried to pet it. Benzai says he’s seen that stray, it isn’t friendly so no one should try to pet it. Akiyama starts to suggest that they should send Fushimi to check on it, since all cats like him, and Fushimi cuts in that the cat hissed at him too. Everyone is shocked, Benzai wonders if it is truly a feral beast and Fushimi just glares like why would I want to befriend a cat anyway.
But somehow he can’t stop himself from checking on the cat every now and again, since it seems to have taken up residence by the garbage cans. It will be annoying if the cat interrupts regular garbage collection so Fushimi decides fine, he’ll bring it some food and water and try to coax it away from the garbage. The cat starts coming out more regularly when Fushimi appears, expecting food, though it still won’t let Fushimi pet it. Fushimi thinks that’s fine though, imagine him watching the cat eat thinking he wouldn’t want any person touching him either, the cat probably got harassed so much that it realizes it’s better not to be petted. One day the cat doesn’t appear when Fushimi shows up with the food, Fushimi clicks his tongue and thinks this is good right, now he doesn’t have to waste time with the cat anymore. Except as he’s going back to his dorm he hears a ‘meow’ and sees the cat is waiting by the dorms now, waving its tail as Fushimi approaches. He puts down the food and as the cat eats he finds himself reaching out, stroking it hesitantly along its back, and the cat starts to purr. Fushimi will definitely not be adopting this cat though (as he makes it a cat bed and sets it near the tree by his window, and as the cat starts waiting for him by the dorms every day and finally it sneaks inside and waits by Fushimi’s room, and Benzai starts secretly dropping off cat ownership accessories because he suspects Fushimi will need them).

(copying this over from my twitter)
pd101 japan s3 mdh steal list + where i want various trainees to go
yoshida hana would do well at starship
yamazaki mitsuki will probably quit music but in my head she could be in a ninemuses-esque group with ando chiharu, koyama mana, tanaka yuuki
i follow a talent scout/trainer who's actively trying to get moro anon a kpop job so
motohashi meika mdh steal list first inductee
i dont care for mizukami rimika. she should start a yt channel if she hasn't already
matsushita miyu isn't for me but maybe she could join the ninemuses reup
fujimoto ayaka was well-liked enough to have a future somewhere. idk where, but somewhere
hatta mena has some issues but i do think she can still debut somewhere
i have no idea where nakano kokona can go but that's baby sister so i want good things for her. maybe the chanmina show? that's the only japanese survival show in the works that i can think of, plus she suits the vibe
i was convinced that takahashi hina and abe nagomi were gonna be 12 & 13 and be frontrunners for the lapone spin off group but they usually dont bother with people who don't make the finale...my non fact based opinion is that a group with these two and a couple others who were eliminated would still do better than a group of the finalists. as it stands, hina should try for the next korean season of pd101, and nagomi will have a future in jpop, even though the idea of splitting them hurts my head.
i loved takagi mayu but her brief foray into the entertainment world is over i fear
sutani yurara would probably hate it conceptually but im zapping her with my ninemuses ray. sorry.
i don't know what to do with sasaki tsukushi but she needs a win and bad. chanmina show? if keiko and rinon weren't fighting for top 11 id say debut them as a trio, i enjoyed their team's balance on bijin a lot
saito serina...i really like her but idk what to do with her. she has great idol potential and fits kbeauty standards more than jpop standards...maybe the next korean season of produce? she's like 45% mdh steal list but that's my bias talking
kano kurihara ninemuses beam
i kind of love kitazume sakura, she's cute but extremely intense & she tries to hide it by simply not saying anything but it still shines through. i think she's great. produce 101 korea just to see, she shouts instead of sings but honestly she gives izone
kikukawa aki...she's fun but she gives flop group, like majors or something tbh
no idea how nogizaka works but kawabata ranka should aim for something like that
kamio ayano reminds me so much of zhang zining it's crazy. if she had a storyline i think she would've debuted but she just never caught on. she would be a great gg member but im not sure where
oda aruha my beloved disappointment. if she had held on a lil longer she couldnt made lapone trainee status but alas. i could see her just working in dance moving forward
okabe nana could be scouted by someone, maybe akb idk
uchiyama rin might not have a future in music but it's kind of a shame since she has such a nice lower register
ando yui my little sister...idk what to do with her so im gonna blindly put her in mdh jpn ngg and say it makes sense because having 2 yui's would be cute
aramaki joa's push was too obvious and she paid the price, but there's no way she's not being kept on as a lapone trainee or getting offers, finals or not. i actually think her vibe sort of suits tripleS although im not expecting anyone from this show to join
i quite liked akiyama ema, something about her reminded me of jihyo but she never fully caught the audience's attention so unfortunately she might just dance from here on out
to be very real i hope suzu fans dont panic vote her into the top 11. she definitely has a future at lapone.
honestly some company is gonna take half the finalists and throw them in a group together regardless of fit so given they dont make top 11 but disregarding that...
sorry i want shizuku to go back to opera
momoka should go on chanmina's show and then transition into an iri copy, she'd actually do sooooo well with that but if she wants a gg...my ninemuses team is only at 7 rn
haruka will get an offer somewhere
koto & rio lapone, kagura too but i want her for the gg im building in my head
in sum:
discount nine muses: yamazaki mitsuki, ando chiharu, koyama mana, tanaka yuuki, sutani yurara, kurihara kano, kamio ayano, kenmotsu nano, kato kagura
mdh: motohashi meika
sorta mdh but not really: saito serina, ando yui, aramaki joa
final top 11 in my brain: momona, miu, rinon, ran ayane, tsuzumi, kokona, kokoro, rin, keiko, and rino (im delusional)

THY ✨ANON IS BACK FRON THE DEAD JAHAHAHA!
Greetings once again :D!
May I request separated Romantic headcannons with Ena and Mizuki with a Reader that's very much have learned all ways of proper etiquette and have become somehow elegant as such. Bonus if Reader is a noble and which is the reason why Reader bothered to learn etiquette anyway. Another bonus if Reader wears a royal suit or something in one of their dates 👀
I just have been reading a lot of manhwa these days, im so sorry ( ._.)
{Ena/Mizuki with a proper, noble Reader!} [R]
Heya there, ✨! Congrats on becoming the first names anon here! I don't know much about manhwa, but I hope this was enough to fit your likes!
Ena Shinonome
Tumblr media
Let's be fair, Ena hates people with big egos. As someone who has had to work extremely hard and put a lot of effort into what she does to not receive any recognition, she does tend to resent those who believe they deserve it without the same sacrifices...
So when she hears about your noble status, it gives her a bad impression. Since she hasn't actually met any people like you before, she's fallen for a few stereotypes herself, as much as she tried to refuse it.
She was... Stunned when she first saw you. Your look wasn't standoffish, or too overbearing. However, your appearance alone established a regal atmosphere without it feeling suffocating. She was stunned...
She would take a few secret photos of you for her to have fun editing. This was a pretty rare chance, after all! She never used the regal themes much before in her edits, so this could be an interesting change of pace. She wouldn't post them without your permission, and would always block your face though!
Honestly, she was at a loss. What was she supposed to do? Was she supposed to act natural? No, that would be too offensive! Should she act formal as well? She has never been too good at it!
Before long though, she learns that you don't mind her normal attitude, as long as she keeps the condescending part to a minimum, and she sighs in relief.
She will definitely ask about how your place looks! The colors, aesthetics, textures, she wants to know it all! If you're able to show her photos, she'll spend hours staring at them to take in every single pixel! Also...
"How did you just keep your cool talking with that cashier?? She was just so rude! She didn't need to pry into our personal life with those questions! God, it's so frustrating what some people do! But... You didn't bat an eye, nor raise your tone! How...?? You're so amazing!"
You shrug it off as something you have to deal with often, and get used to, and Ena seriously questions the implications that you and others of the group may not be so different...
Offer her lessons in proper manners, it could go a long way! Ena isn't the type to mince her words, so this could help her a lot to stay out of trouble...
All in all, meeting you and spending time with you would be an enlightening experience for her, to learn and to explore a side of the world she knew little about! And with you by her side, she could work on some positive attitudes for a change!
Mizuki Akiyama
Tumblr media
Mizuki knows that acting the way they do isn't the most pleasing for any stranger, so they have learnt about how to act respectfully and properly, even think it may not seem like it!
That's why they were a bit stiff when first meeting you, making sure you didn't mind their normal attitude, before relaxing once you tell them that it's fine, that they didn't need to force it too much.
They will still treat you a bit special, teasing you less and being generally more respectful altogether! It's... Weird. Their usual energy still shines through, and it's evident that they aren't acting as before.
If any of your clothes need a small touch up, they will jump at the opportunity and help you! They will be a bit nervous working with such precious materials, but their talent is unmatched!
They will also host small dress up sessions in your house with all of the clothes you don't use much. They look like they're having so much fun... These clothes are so rare after all!
However, they're taken by surprise when you tell them to try some out. It's... A shock! Mizuki, wearing regal clothes! Well, don't mind them as the session doubles in length and noise with them squealing and getting excited!
Since then, they've fully loosened up and now treat you like anyone else! Teasing you, trying to crack your respectful demeanor, taking cover behind you when someone else (Ena, usually) starts to criticize their behavior...
It becomes a test of sorts, as you try to endure either the urge to shut them up or to laugh at their behavior, although you will laugh more when out of the public's eye. It's such a weird experience, unique of such a person like them!
"Waaaah, why is Ena so meaaaan?? The only thing I wanted was to ridicule her by showing how much editing her selfies went through before being posted! I mean, three hours?? SERIOUSLY?? And she says that I'm the unreasonable one! Waaaahhh... You're on my side, riiiight??"
They do know when to tone it down though, and when they notice that you're tired or simply not having any of it, they return to a more passive attitude, even showing a respectful front instead of you at times!
All in all, they will flip your life upside down, so long as you stay by their side! Everything becomes lighter and brighter next to them, letting you lower your guard with no fear of needing it on, thanks to the casual environments! Just make sure to remain by their side... You're a pillar of strength, even if you don't realize it.

Well so I finished all the Yakuza games just recently, and I wanted to share my thoughts on them individually and rank them if someone wanted a good reason to start the game series. Side note, I played LAD: Ishin a long time ago so it’s not included, but I did enjoy it a lot.
Warning for minor spoilers for all the Yakuza games!!
1: Yakuza 0
0 had one of the most tragic stories imo, with Majima and Makoto. All the side characters were amazing, and the way that the stories all ran together were truly masterful. Love this game.
2: Man Who Erased His Name
If the story was longer, it would probably be #1 on my list. I absolutely loved this game mainly for the fact that Kiryu is finally being deconstructed and becoming “human” instead of the legend.
3: Yakuza 6
I’ve heard some conflicting opinions on this game, but I think it’s a great game. I love this story and I think everything with Haruka in this game did Kiryu’s character justice (The scene where he finds out Yuta got Haruka pregnant and punches the absolute shit out of him was literally priceless and probably my favorite scene in the whole game)
4: Infinite Wealth
God. This game should have been called Infinite Agony. I cried so much during this game. But I think it was a really good send off to Kiryu’s character. And the story was really, really good.
5: Like a Dragon
Ichiban is one of the greatest fictional characters ever made. He is so well written and you can genuinely feel his emotions when playing. The story was so good, and it really did a good job with the forgiveness agenda. (Yet another of Ichi’s amazing character traits)
6: Yakuza 4
Ok, I loved this game a lot. It really did a good job with all the separate characters storylines and connecting them back together. (Akiyama is one of the best characters in the whole series you cannot change my mind)
7: Yakuza 3
OK, I know SOMEONE is gonna dislike this one being higher than one and two. Both great games, but Kiryu was just so good in this game. It was just refreshing to see him be so genuinely happy for a while. I love the introduction to the orphanage in this game too.
8: Yakuza Kiwami
C'mon man. Majima? Fantastic. Haruka? Fantastic. The Florist? Fantastic. Date? Fantastic. I loved all the characters in this game so much. Such a tragic story as well.
9: Yakuza Kiwami 2
Ok, this is where I start to be a hater lol. I really liked this game, but the story just seemed very all over the place in my opinion. And I genuinely HATED Sayama’s character. I was glad they put a female protagonist into the game, but they did such a like, mediocre job of writing her character that it just made me mad. But Ryuji was one of the coolest villains in the series so he gets a pass lol. (Also Daigo? Love him so much. Him and Kiryu’s father son relationship is so tragic and I will never get over it for as long as I live)
10: Yakuza 5
Ok, mega hater time. I literally remember like next to nothing about this game cause I hated playing it so much. I remember Kiryu soloing 100 dudes who had rocket launchers, I remember Saejima fighting the bear, I remember wanting to die for the entire Haruka part, and I remember Shinada being a really good character. That’s it. Half of the game was alright, and the other half was just genuinely boring and weird. The addition of Haruka as a playable character was definitely interesting, and I was excited for it but I think the story with her was just boring. I think my favorite part was the end where she gave her big speech about how much she loved Kiryu, which was amazing but GOD this game was slow to start.

Quick Q&A
Even though I'm not really known in the Yakuza sphere what so ever, I thought it would be fun to have a pinned Q&A on some basic Yakuza related questions so people can get an idea of me and my relationship towards the game.
q: How did you discover the Yakuza series?
a: Funny story, my brother and I were at Target and noticed Yakuza 0 in a display for only $6 so we decided to grab it and give it a shot. I can't recall if he had heard about the series before or not, but I hadn't heard about it until I saw it in person. The copy belonged to my brother but he let me borrow it so I could play it while he was gone for a summer. The rest is pretty much history.
q: What games have you played so far?
a: I have played through 0 all the way through 6, minus the Black Panther games as I only now have the resources to play the fan translation. I do plan on beating them at some point but it's not that high of a priority. I am also going to play through the Judgement games, as I already have beaten Judgement and will be playing Lost Judgement as soon as I'm able!
q: Who are your favorite characters?
a: So in order, it goes... 1. Kiryu 2. Tanimura 3. Akiyama 4. Saejima 5. Daigo 6. Mine 7. Rikiya 8. Ryuji 9. Date 10. Nagumo (Of course there are characters off this list that I enjoy, but this is just my top ten.) This list is separated from Judgement characters and there's no Like a Dragon or Infinite Wealth characters because I haven't played it yet. I do like Ichiban with the small amount of information I have of him (4 hours in Like a Dragon). I also think my list of favorite Judgment characters should remain separated, so expect that soon.
q: What's your favorite RGG game?
a: No contest, it's Yakuza 4 followed up by Judgement. Behind those two are Kiwami 2 and Y0. While all the games are enjoyable in their own ways, Yakuza 4 was the most refreshing game I played throughout 2023 and was well needed after my experience with 3. Plus it has Tanimura in it, so you know.
q: Thoughts on Judgement?
a: Of what I've played so far (on chapter 11 as of writing this) I'm a huge fan and really enjoy the rooster of characters involved in this game. I'm also a big fan of the detective elements when I'm typically not a fan of those elements in other games. I have somewhat of a love-hate relationship with Yagami though, but it doesn't reduce my enjoyment of the gameplay or story. And after beating it I can say it's very well written and I'm such a huge fan.
If I can think of anymore I'll add them here and edit when needed.

Title: Cherry Magic: I Hope my Feelings Reach You
Summary: Fushimi gets hit by a strain that causes him to hear the thoughts of those he touches.
Fandoms: K Project
External: AO3
Based on this ask by Ridas
Why is it always him? Today Fushimi got hit by a strain power. Only problem, it hasn't manifested yet. While in the medical vans, He uses his PDA to search for information in the Scepter 4 database. Nothing came up which annoyed Fushimi even more. Back at headquarters Munakata informed him that the strain power is unknown because those effected had reported nothing happening to them.
Fushimi rolled his eyes and handed his reports to Munakata. During that brief interaction their fingers brush together.
'Excellent job as always Fushimi-kun.'
Fushimi clicks his tongue.
"Excellent job as always Fushimi-kun" Munakata say aloud this time.
"You don't have to repeat yourself." Fushimi grumbles.
"Oh? But I did not repeat myself." Munakata gives him a keen look.
"Never mind." Fushimi says as he walks out of the office. He rubs his temple feeling a headache coming on. Something tells him the coming days days will get on his nerves.
-
Akiyama places coffee near Fushimi as he is working. Their shoulders brush against another.
'I hope Fushimi-san get some rest. He look tired.' His lips are not moving.
Fushimi blinks and shakes his head at the phenomenon. Then it hit him. He is able to read the thoughts of people he touches.
"Fushimi-san?" Akiyama says questionably. "Is everything alright?"
"I am fine." He replies getting back to work.
-
'This is no big deal.' he tells himself. He hate physical contact anyways so avoid people, with an excuse no less, is the best thing ever to happen to him. Although if other people knew, they would probably start acting weird around him. Which would make work difficult. There was no winning, so for now he decides to keep it to himself. After all the power will wear off eventually.
Today he was going to work with Hidaka. As he was walking in the hallway, someone lightly tapped his shoulder.
'How are you faring with you new ability Fushimi-kun?' The captain thinks much to Fushimi's annoyance. How was Munakata using his powers better than Fushimi? He hated it, but it was his power damn it!
Fushimi reachs his office and find Hidaka waiting for him. Fushimi did not think he would have to deal with the tall oaf this early in the shift. "Wait outside I will be ready in a moment."
Fushimi relays his orders and Hidaka brushes past him in glee. 'I'm so happy I get to work with Saruhiko-san again today!'
'Even in your head no one gave you permission to call me by my name!' Fushimi gave Hidaka his most intense glare he could muster.
"F-Fushimi-san...."
-
Not coming into contact with people should have been the easiest thing ever. It was becoming to obvious just how much the little touches matter in the big picture. All day his fingers were brushing up against people when he recied paperwork from them.
'I should feed him more Anko. Fushimi is looking skinnier than usual.' Awashimi thinks as she hands off some papers to Fushimi. Who hands them off to Hidaka.
'Fushimi-san looks so cute today. And Awashima-san's boobs look extra bouncy today.' Fushimi threw Hidaka a look of absolute disgust.
'Maybe I should freak out Hidaka by saying random words in the room.' Goto thinks. Fushimi felt bad for Hidaka.
'Fushimi-san is scarier than usual today. His face is terrifying.' Doumyouji thinks. Fushimi wanted so badly to chase him.
The morning was exhausting. Hopefully he could get through the rest of the day without any issues as long as Hidaka kept his distance.
Hidaka pats his shoulder. "Fushimi-san! Let's give it our all today!" 'I could daydream about kissing him all day.'
Fushimi quickly pulls away. "Let's go."
-
They had to do business at another building. Hidaka could have sat anywhere else in the van, he ops to sit right next to Fushimi. Much to Fushimi's annoyance. The peaceful ride was not peaceful for Fushimi. As their should kept bumping against each other. So Fushimi got a front row seat to Hidaka's current fantasies. He did not need to know about Hidaka's 'Work Trip With Fushimi-san' song, okay! thought he would perfer that over the more lewd fantasies Hidaka has of them.
'Ah~ Saruhiko is really amazing.'
Fushimi look up at Hidaka, this time with a more innocent expression. "What?"
"Oh, I didn't say anything." Hidaka says. Which earns him a click of Fushimi's tongue.
Hidaka grew concerned and places a hand on Fushimi's forehead. Hidaka's thought were full of genuine concern and Fushimi's face starts to get red. Which makes Hidaka even more concered. Fushimi can't handle someone being this worried about him. He eventually slaps Hidaka hand away and puts some distance between them.
They arrive at the building. Fushimi hurriedly gets off the van. Hidaka approaches him grabbing both of Fushimi's shoulders to steady him.
'I wish Fushimi-san would take better care of himself. That just means I have to take care of him even more!'
Fushimi slaps Hidaka away, seemingly flustered.
"Fushimi-san, I can't stay quite any longer. You need to rest!" Hidaka blurts out. "Let's go back to Scepter 4."
Aggravated, Fushimi lets out a sigh. "Why do you keep bothering me about this?"
Hidaka puts a hand on Fushimis's shoulder and both his thoughts and words line up with each other. "Because I care about you!"
Fushimi looks away. "You don't have to worry so much. It's a pain if you care too much."
Fushimi was not sure if that last part was for Hidaka or himself.
"It isn't a pain for me to care," Hidaka smiles as his thoughts finish his sentence. 'Because you are the person I like.'
-
"So when will this go away?" Fushimi grumbles.
"Ah yes. It goes away when you stop being a virgin." Munakata says.
Fushimi cursed his life.

Hey!! 💜
A7, A9, B6, C5, C8, C11, and… a freebie!! Pick one you really wanna answer
A.7) Favorite substory? Most of my favorite substories come from 0. But The Doll Girl is my number 1 favorite. Also, thank Doll Girl for getting me to start writing again, her and Majima were so damn adorable it got my creativity pumping! I will be eternally grateful to them for that. There are definitely some honorable mentions but I don’t really feel like rattling them off because decisions are hard.
A.9) Favorite game location(s)? Serena, the entirety of the Sotenbori map no matter which game
B.6) Are there any characters that you wish you could be more like? Akiyama; rich, hot and dumb of ass.
C.5) Which character would you like to see as an antagonist? Haruka! Can you fucking IMAGINE THE DRAMA?!?!?! That would be a moment. I would love that for her! I mean, think about it! The Tojo Clan fucking ruined her fucking LIFE. They all had it coming tbh.
C.8) What was the worst plot twist? Can I say ALL of Yakuza 4? Because ALL of Yakuza 4.
C.11) Which character has the best taste in clothing? Who has the worst? Best; Nishiki, we'll pretend that double breasted coat didn't happen though. Worst; Majima.
Freebie.) Which character should have died but didn’t? (If that’s too harsh, who deserves to rot in prison?) Iwami Tsuneo. Of all the times they chose to avoid their formula of killing the big bad, choosing NOT to kill off Iwami no bocchan was the flop of the century. He should have died right along with that stupid fucking war ship. All of that for what, because you wanted your damn daddy to give you a wittle pat on the head? Give me a fawking break. I've never hated a character so much in my life. I genuinely hoped that Kiryu would have crossed the line JUST to end his bitch ass. GOD, I hated that man.

❛ ❤ ⋯
Okamura was sat at the island in their kitchen in one of the high stools. She was dressed in something simple and soft : a pale coral dress with a tight bodice, flowing sleeves, and long layered skirt. Pearls hung from her ears. The heiress sipped her vanilla - flavored late carefully in order to preserve her make - up. In her other hand was a pink gel pen with a gaudy plastic crown on the end. Made liked to get them for her mother as an affectionate nod to how often small children confused Okamura for a royal from the pages of a fairy tale.
Idly, the heiress turned to the next chapter of the book she was reading. After the first few lines, she sighed and set down her beverage. This poor woman. The way the author described her sexual endeavors was so bland. A scathing note was made next to the love interest’s attempt at talking dirty in glittering ink. Okamura’s shelves were full of cheap ( and often explicit ) romance novels that she had edited for her own amusement. She snorted several paragraphs later at a character’s effort to explain dancing on a pole. That was not at all correct.
❝ Still working on this, eh? ❞ Akiyama wrapped his arms around her from behind and gently flipped the battered book to look at the cover. He set it back just as she had it to not disturb where she left off. This particularly bad ( and therefore good by her logic ) addition to her collection kept his wife up last night, as well, much to his amusement.
❝ It’s awful, ichigo, ❞ Okamura complained. She leaned into him momentarily, smiling at the state of the loan shark. His dark locks were spread in a number of different directions, and the scruff on his face was badly in need of a trim. He was half - dressed in a fluffy robe and baggy sweatpants. No shirt, Okamura noted with pleasure  ―  and no underwear if she remembered correctly. For now, however, she kept her touches innocent ; the heiress simply craned her neck to kiss him good morning. She had left him in their bed to sleep while their children got ready and departed for school.
❝ Everyone made it out in time, ❞ Okamura murmured when they parted. She remained nestled into her husband, glad for the feel of him. ❝  ―  and there’s breakfast in the fridge for you. The kids wanted eggs and steamed rice. I added cucumber and carrots to yours already. There’s grilled fish on the side that our shikwasa made. ❞
Akiyama smiled at her lovingly. ❝ You spoil me, ma étoile. ❞
❝ Mm. ❞ Okamura hummed out a contented note and stole another press of his mouth. He gave it to her happily, fingers squeezing her side. The heiress nipped his bottom lip as Akiyama pulled away, which made him laugh. She grinned at the sound. ❝ I suppose that means you owe me later. ❞
❝ It’s a date. ❞ Akiyama kissed her hair affectionately. ❝ Isn’t there an ‘ awful ’ movie adaptation of this? ❞ A nod was given to the novel. ❝ What if, after I get home, we find it, hm? A little birdie let me know your favorite champagne is back in store, too. ❞
❝ Careful, ichigo. ❞ Okamura reached out and touched the gold phoenix around his neck.  ❝ Keep talking like that, and you’ll never get out the door. I might have to call Hana - san and let her know that you’ll be missing your meetings. ❞
❝ Oh?  ―  and what’s going to happen to me, Azumi - chan? ❞ The loan shark teased.
His wife’s hand lowered and briefly rested on his bare chest. She contemplated keeping him here but ultimately decided against it. With a wistful sigh, Okamura withdrew. Akiyama took the opportunity to step from her side, as much as he hated to. The appointments he had to keep should be grateful to his grumbling stomach. Still, the moneylender made a mental note to stop for his star’s best - liked bottle on the way back. Anything to make her happy.
Okamura settled back into her chair, though her eyes had a hard time focusing on the pages again. Her attention was rather taken and regularly shifted to follow the loan shark as he meandered throughout the kitchen. After Akiyama put together his breakfast, he sat down with her. Okamura’s chin nestled into her palm as they talked. There was something so sweet about moments like these  ―  precious minutes in which she shared him with no one else. The perfect husband and father who regarded her as if she had fallen from the heavens. At some point, the heiress’ free hand came to rest on top of his on the counter. Akiyama took it and gripped her fingers. His thumb unconsciously stroked over the meteorite band she wore.

(kulemii) admittedly, i haven't played y7. i'm sure you can tell because of that one question, right? haha! anyway, hiiii, can ya answer a few questions for me? a2, a10, b1, c3, c7, d7, e1, f8 thanks again!
awww yeah tbh I just saw that question and cackled, I really do hope you and that anon get to play Y7 because its, something ( a good something but legendary despite the real time combat that was ripped from my hands because turn based does not feel as good as smacking someone with a motorbike over and over again
But omg more questionss!! Here we go guys more rambling
A.2 Favorite Game(s)?
Y0 because they just did so much with it, it was a breath of fresh air after years. Its very balanced to between story and gameplay like its so engaging even tho i kept rushing through it for majima and kiryu to meet as i was so eager to see how they met (bit of a let down for reasons but, probably similar to for others, i started playing when Y0 wasnt a thing yet)
Its such a great entry point to the series and definitely beats Y5 and Y6 in terms of how smoothly everything flows
but so much happens in Y4, it’ll always be legendary to me
A.10 Favorite Weapon(s)?
I love any weapon thats huge like motorbikes, sofas etc because it doesn’t give the enemy a chance to stand back up, i may have used all the sofas in the area during the final boss in Judgement loool
B.1 Which character do you relate to most and why?
the poppo customer assistant as i work in retail myself This is hard, I never really thought of it like I more just yearn to see all the interactions between the characters. but maybe some parts of akiyama? I just don’t want to do anything either lol but i really do want to help people in any way i can
C.3 Which character(s) deserved better?
Hana-Chan, she deserved to be in the story more, woman can even fight and knock out some goons like teach me.
in all seriousness nishiki deserved better people around him. Yakuza kiwami really helped in showing his downfall more than the original Yakuza 1 and it would be a whole different story if Kiryu didn’t go to jail.
C.7 Which character should have died but didn’t? (If that’s too harsh, who deserves to rot in prison?)
idk i feel like I dont remember a lot of charcters i hated but didn’t die, everyone I can think of that should of died, did actually die loool i feel like im forgetting a very alarming obvious character. did that guy who stabbed majima’s eye out die? just checked lol he did shibata is dead
D.7 Who was the least engaging protagonist?
Id’ have to say Shinada, didn’t really enjoy his gameplay sections and his story wasn’t really that interesting to me. i feel the conversations between him and diago could of been better handled like more cooler loool and like hes ok tbh, what happened to him was sad but he wasnt engaging imo
E.1 Explore: Kamurocho or Sotenbori?
Ohhh, i know kamurocho like the back of my hand i don’t use the map at this point, Sotenbori though yes I want to explore there. Its just so exciting and I feel they should of made it bigger to explore.
F.8 Which Morning Glory orphan would you adopt? (Sorry, Haruka is not an option.)
ohhhh sweet babies omg Eri I’d adopt her, I’d adopt them all tbh

every clan reacting to their "hate tweets" or their haters in general
S4, I bet Fushimi doesn’t care since he’s the king of haters, there’s nothing any random stranger could say about him that would even bother him (also like what are people going to say, that he’s an asshole, he knows that already he likes being an asshole). Munakata I imagine being similarly unbothered for the most part, he’s a public figure after all and it’s a fact of life that the common people may not always agree with him. He probably perfectly calm reading his hate tweets until he sees one that came from Mikoto and now he’s angrily typing up very serious rebuttals because he can’t just let Suoh have the last word. Awashima finds the entire thing pointless, surely people have better things to do than complain about a complete stranger on the internet. The squad don’t manage to be as chill as their superiors though, like I can see Enomoto turning out to be unexpectedly focused with this and he’s constantly responding or counter-trolling because he’s not letting normies talk about him this way okay. Akiyama claims they should be above this sort of thing until Hidaka shows him a tweet where someone called him short and now Akiyama has to resist the urge to respond (Benzai, on the other hand, is just delivering pointed verbal beatdowns to anyone who posts hate tweets about himself or Akiyama).
Homra end, Yata definitely couldn’t handle reading hate tweets calmly, he’s yelling and shaking the screen (half his hate tweets are from Fushimi anyway). Totsuka just thinks it’s funny, I imagine him laughing about all his and being very amused by it. Kusanagi is an adult with a job so he doesn’t care much as long as someone doesn’t try to slander his bar, then it’s war. Mikoto’s only interested in sending hate tweets to Munakata and doesn’t pay any attention to his own, the only thing that might annoy him is if like someone suggested the Blue King is better than him. The rest of Homra are probably angrier about Mikoto’s haters than their own, like how dare some asshole say that about Mikoto-san, we should find them and kick their ass. The Homra alphabet aren’t as angry about their tweets as Yata but they’re still annoyed, like imagine Bandou teasing Yata for getting so upset and then he sees someone calling him a ‘maidenless loser’ and is like say that to my face asshole. Dewa calls them all idiots for being angry at random internet people until he sees someone call him ‘Hat Guy’ and immediately starts typing an angry response.
Jungle have the power of the internet on their side so anyone hate tweets them at their peril, like Hisui can absolutely fry your computer if he feels like it. I feel like Sukuna would be trash talking people right back, bragging loudly about how much he showed that guy, take that haters. Yukari doesn’t deign to respond because hating people isn’t beautiful and anyway if someone hates him so much they’re welcome to face him in combat. Iwafune takes the whole thing in stride, haters gonna hate after all, he’s an old man he’s too drunk to care about this stuff. The Silvers are probably similar, Shiro just laughs and lets the hate roll right off him, he doesn’t really mind. Neko only gets angry if people are mean to Shiro, she’s very adamant that mean people are mean. Kuroh would probably be the one who gets mortally offended, I imagine him lecturing the others about not letting this get to you and then he sees someone hating on Ichigen Miwa’s haiku and now Kuroh must Educate Them.

A meta and analysis on Hurricane Touchdown
Hurricane Touchdown sure is one of the Digimon entries that’s really difficult to describe. Often said to be “confusing” and “like an acid trip” (for pretty good reason, honestly), it somehow also manages to have a lot of hold in public memory, partially due to being one of the three movies that got widespread international distribution via Digimon: The Movie. Moreover, its relevance has started to re-emerge thanks to Kizuna, the director of which has stated Hurricane Touchdown to be his favorite movie (multiple times). Rather recently, there was even an editorial written by a journalist who had been covering Kizuna, professing that he had watched Hurricane Touchdown as a kid and hated it, only to rewatch it as an adult and appreciate it much better.
With all that, plus the fact that the movie recently got a new translation, it’s probably a good time to go back over the movie and analyze it! Despite what popular sentiment may have you believe, the plot of the movie isn’t that fundamentally incomprehensible, just buried under some rather unusual production and execution decisions. But there’s a lot to be said about the themes and story of the movie, so let’s dig in!
(All screenshots and quotations from the movie are based off the Hudie translation.)
Hurricane Touchdown in meta franchise terms
The full title of the movie isn’t technically Hurricane Touchdown by itself, but rather “Digimon Hurricane Touchdown!!/Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals”. (The Japanese fanbase tends to shorten it to “Digimon Hurricane”, or, for even more shortening, “dejihari”.) The double-titling there is because of how it was originally screened; it was the 02 “summer movie”, screening in July (between the airings of 02 episodes 14 and 15). Functionally, the franchise has thereafter treated it like a single movie, but at the time, the fact it was technically “two” movies gave it the longest running time of any Digimon theatrical movie, clocking in at a little over an hour. (The tri. movies are officially considered OVAs and not theatrical movies due to their limited-screening nature, so as of this writing Kizuna, at 95 minutes, is the only theatrical movie to break this record.)
The movie itself has a pretty fascinating development history – for one, Akiyama Ryou was originally planned to be the starring character instead of Wallace. It’s also the first Digimon movie to be in “questionable canonicity” territory – this is very normal for Toei tie-in movies, since development for these kinds of movies usually starts at the same time or even before the TV series itself, making it hard to reconcile canon, but unusual at the time for Adventure, which had both its first and second movies be plot-relevant to Adventure and 02 respectively. It is generally understood that the movie takes place in “summer” – possibly between episodes 14 and 15, at the same position it screened in real-life – but, interestingly, the Western and Japanese fanbases’ opinions on why it’s questionably canon tend to differ: in the West it’s usually based on the appearance of Tailmon and Patamon’s higher-level evolutionary forms (which shouldn’t be possible as per 02 episode 27), but in the Japanese fanbase it’s based on Wallace’s existence posing a timeline contradiction (according to Adventure episode 45, there shouldn’t be any Chosen Children before 1995, but the movie states that Wallace had been one before then). Add to that The Door to Summer, which seemingly contradicts the ending of the movie (in which Wallace and Gumimon find what’s implied to be Chocomon’s egg, whereas The Door to Summer has the line “Chocomon isn’t here anymore”), and everything is just a tangled mess.
Despite that, it’s pretty remarkable how lasting the movie has been in public memory. Even with all of the factors working against it – the fact it’s often accused of being confusing (or, by many a Japanese kid, boring and slow) or an acid trip – Wallace is a very popular character, more so than you’d expect for a “guest” character in a one-off movie, especially one so controversial. 02 fans often even consider him an honorary seventh member of the 02 group. His article on the Pixiv dictionary wiki is pretty surprisingly thorough, at that. Questionable canonicity aside, the fact The Door to Summer even exists is pretty significant – how many one-off questionably canon movies have you seen getting an actual sequel?
As an aside, Hurricane Touchdown has a bit of an interesting relationship with Ojamajo Doremi, which is in some sense classic Digimon’s sister series (it aired at around the same time as Adventure through Frontier, and was also headed by their producer, Seki Hiromi). Wallace was voiced by Miyahara Nami, a voice actress who grew up in an international school in Austria and thus speaks fluent German and English, thus often putting her in roles that require speaking one of those. (If you listen to Wallace’s Japanese speech through the movie, it has a very heavy accent, which is deliberately affected on Miyahara’s part.) A year later, Miyahara would be cast as major character Momoko in Motto! Ojamajo Doremi, and The Door to Summer would prominently feature Nat-chan, a girl voiced by Shishido Rumi, who voiced Ojamajo’s Onpu (who is generally agreed to be Doremi’s most popular character, and Shishido’s most famous role). Coincidence? Opportunistic casting? Who knows.
The movie itself
But that’s enough beating around the bush. Let’s get to the movie itself!
Tumblr media
I’m not going to dwell on this too much because I’m going to be going more in detail about it below, but our story starts off in Wallace’s hometown of Summer Memory, a fictional rural village in Colorado, in 1995. (As mentioned earlier, this is a bit of a timeline contradiction; Adventure episode 45 establishes that “the one who wishes for stability” and the Agents didn’t get the idea of human Chosen Children until 1995, whereas the events of Hurricane Touchdown imply he’d been one before then.) Chocomon suddenly vanishes, and a gust of wind is left behind, implying that he must have been kidnapped. It’s not exactly said by what he was taken by (Digimon: The Movie ties it into Our War Game! by having both be traced to a “virus”, but no mention of such is made in the original Japanese version).
The mystery of what it is that took Chocomon away is never fully elaborated in the course of the movie, but as it goes on, it becomes increasingly apparent that it doesn’t actually matter. Why? Well, stay tuned.
So, timeskip to 2002!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Takeru and Hikari are visiting Mimi in New York, Hikari, who is known to have a bit of an empathic connection to Digimon, senses that there’s a “crying Digimon” (this will be important later), and Mimi suddenly vanishes – as do the other Chosen Children.
I think part of the reason this movie is often pinned as feeling like an acid trip is that the demeanor and attitude the 02 kids express in this movie feels a little too laid-back for the very urgent situation of their seniors having suddenly up and vanished (which is also not helped by the movie’s overall soundtrack being a lot more laid-back than the events on screen should suggest). This is especially odd because it’s absolutely not like the kids aren’t worried about their seniors at all! Rather to the contrary; “getting Taichi and the others back” is the major motive driving the whole group for the rest of it, and it’s constantly brought up as their goal in dialogue, shaping their actions throughout the rest of the movie. The execution of the dialogue and the overall direction create a bit of a tonal mismatch, but on its face, the actual storytelling checks.
Tumblr media
Shortly after, Chocomon – now evolved and corrupted into something – appears, and Wallace and Gumimon confront him.
The fact that Wallace refers to his partners by their Baby-level names (Chocomon and Gumimon) even after they’ve clearly evolved brings up a lot of interesting implications. One is that, not having been privy to any great adventure in the Digital World before, Wallace doesn’t have a lot of awareness of names changing after evolution the same way his Japanese peers do. But another important thing that comes out here is that, through the course of this movie, Wallace primarily sees his partners the same way he did as a young child. A lot of this movie’s story centers around Wallace’s difficulty in moving on from the past and accepting that things aren’t the same way that they are anymore – and so, just like how he has a hard time swallowing that the circumstances have changed, he has difficulty seeing his own partners as having changed, and calls them by the same names despite everything.
Takeru and Hikari catch on, and Hikari’s psychic sense catches on that something’s happened to her brother, too.
Tumblr media
Oh, and incidentally, said seniors aren’t in a pleasant place to be in at all.
The fact that the older kids are clearly Not Having a Good Time in the realm they’ve been kidnapped to – it’s depicted as cold, lonely, full of negative emotions, and eating away at their ability to even bodily function – is very heavily connected to what we later learn about what’s been going on with Chocomon through the last seven years. Moreover, the one truly coherent thing Taichi and Yamato can spit out at this stage is concern for their siblings – i.e., love. Keep that in mind for later!
Tumblr media
Wallace drops a line to his family (”Amy” presumably being his sister) saying that he’s going to head to Summer Memory, and skips town. Repeat: Summer Memory is in Colorado – he’s doing something as drastic as going out of state to follow Chocomon, which naturally does not amuse his mom very much (as we find out later in the movie). Patamon eavesdrops on the conversation and relays the information to Takeru and Hikari, who contact Daisuke in turn.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So the remaining three kids nyoom all the way to the US using frequent flyer miles (which makes you really wonder whose those are, or what on earth they told their parents to allow three elementary school kids go around unassisted in another country) to go save their seniors, which apparently doesn’t fund their trip all the way to Colorado, forcing them to hitchhike from New York.
(We also get a quick scene implying that Daisuke has better proficiency in English than Iori and Miyako, as he translates some of the statements for the guy they take a ride from. This is pretty surprising, given that Daisuke hasn’t really been portrayed as particularly book smart…but then again, language skills sometimes just happen to come naturally to some people regardless of skill in books, and hey, it might just come in useful for his future ramen chef career in New York…)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We get our first major scene of dialogue between Gumimon and Wallace, and we learn quite a bit about their characters in the process. Gumimon has a similar laid-back attitude to the more prominent Terriermon in Tamers, but beyond that (and a shared voice actress), it’s important to note that they have very different personalities otherwise. In this scene, Wallace and Gumimon get in an argument over how to handle Chocomon, with Wallace insisting that they shouldn’t have attacked him and that they should have just “talked” about it – even though, as Gumimon correctly points out, he was pretty obviously trying to physically attack Wallace.
In fact, at this part of the story, Wallace is being extremely irrational and in denial. You don’t even have to watch the rest of the movie to see that Gumimon’s very practical stance on the matter is reasonable – Chocomon was very much trying to attack Wallace, and getting caught in the fight was pretty much all he could do for Wallace’s safety. But Wallace, still stuck in the past, can’t accept that at this point in the movie, and, honestly, is being a bit of a brat about it too – he’s engaging in progressively more self-destructive behavior over the course of the movie (ditching his family to set off by himself in order to hitchhike to Colorado, for one). We later find out that Wallace is specifically obsessed with going back to the flower field where he lost Chocomon, having independently come up with the idea that this would somehow let everything go back to what it was before – even though there was really no sign this would actually fix anything.
The Adventure universe generally runs on a concept that a Digimon partner is representative of part of the self, and so, tying that into Wallace and his two partners, it can be taken that Gumimon and Chocomon reflect the duality of Wallace as a character – Chocomon representing his desire to latch onto the past and hope that everything can be the same that it was before, and Gumimon as Wallace’s sense of reason, advising him about the reality of the situation and how to practically get through it (and, thus, to move on). In fact, Gumimon is the one constantly advising him about said self-destructive behavior (reminding him that his mom is probably worried about him, but also berating him for just ditching the train as a result instead of thinking about how that’d leave them without reliable transportation for the rest of it).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The symbolism is driven in even further when the only thing Gumimon has to say, in response to Wallace clinging further onto the idea that going to the flower field will fix things…is a cryptic statement that Chocomon didn’t like the heat, then suddenly offering to be a hat to provide Wallace shade. Because right now, Wallace and Chocomon are the same: clinging hopelessly to shards of the past.
Tumblr media
The other 02 kids make their way to meet up in Colorado, but run into some snags when Daisuke, Miyako, and Iori end up missing the exit to Denver (Takeru is not amused), and Hikari and Takeru’s train ends up stranded thanks to Chocomon’s interference…
Tumblr media
…and, making things worse, Daisuke, Miyako, and Iori try to take a plane back to Denver, only to overshoot it again. (Sorry, Taichi…your juniors are idiots.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fortunately, they get lucky by running into the very same boy they’re indirectly looking for on their way to hitchhiking. We learn that Wallace has never had exposure to other Chosen Children before to the extent of knowing there were any Digimon in Japan, nor has he ever been to the Digital World, so for all intents and purposes, his experiences with Chocomon and Gumimon are all he knows (i.e. he has no awareness of large-scale Digital World affairs). He also apparently speaks Japanese, which is convenient for this movie so that they don’t have to have a language barrier, but, amusingly, Wallace claims that it’s because he “had a Japanese girlfriend once”. (Gumimon, who is much more reliable of a source, says that he’d apparently put an honest effort into studying, so an interpretation that Wallace really likes anime or something is not out of the question.)
It’s also interesting to see how the others react to him, especially considering that it’s becoming increasingly apparent that he’s involved with the disappearance of their seniors. Miyako is as openly friendly as she generally always is, Iori presses him very calmly about questions relevant to the disappearances and Chocomon without even batting an eyelid (future lawyer in training here), and Daisuke is suspicious from the get-go…which is exacerbated when Wallace starts flirting with Miyako. The running gag of Daisuke getting angry about Wallace flirting with Miyako has a lot to unpack here – the most obvious standby is the shipping interpretation (or, at least, that Daisuke may be as protective of Miyako as he is Hikari), but there are other points to observe as well. Firstly, Daisuke is a rather abruptly straightforward and overly honest person, and it makes sense that he’d play badly with people who seem dishonest – after all, his suspicions of Wallace started even before he started flirting, and he also shows similar hostility around Takeru (also not a very straightforward person) when he suspects he’s being made fun of. But also, the Pixiv dictionary entry takes the interpretation that Wallace’s personality had gotten a bit “warped” by his experiences – or, in other words, he’d developed this penchant for acting like a flirt, wandering off on his own, and altogether being incredibly wishy-washy because of the trauma of losing Chocomon and his inability to get over it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And as much as Daisuke’s being a prick about it (to the point that mocking Wallace for it gets him left there stranded with him), he’s absolutely right about the contradiction Wallace’s posing – he’s acting all high and mighty about trying to become an “adult” (meaning that going off on his own and flirting with girls presumably are part of his perception of what Mature Guys do), yet he’s being a total mama’s boy by constantly dropping everything to call her repeatedly through his trip. (It’s even worse than the subs here suggest; he calls her “mama”, the kind of super-affectionate language used by Mimi and Ken.) As Gumimon says, Wallace thinks he’s actually right, but he doesn’t actually have it together at all.
Another interesting thing to note here is that at this point of the movie, Wallace calls Daisuke “Daisuke-kun” (with honorific attached, slight distance). Remember this for later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chocomon appears to confront them again, but he seems to not properly recognize Wallace – because, as we later find out, he doesn’t see the current Wallace as “Wallace”, and will accept nothing less than a younger Wallace from exactly the way he was when they were separated. (It is later stated in the movie that this is why he kidnapped the seniors and turned them younger; since he can’t recognize “Wallace” the way he is now, he’s taking anyone he can find with a Digivice and de-aging them in the hopes that he’ll find “Wallace” among them.) Gumimon recognizes that Chocomon is beyond recognition, and tells Wallace to not see him as Chocomon, but Wallace refuses to accept this and continues to intervene in the fight, telling Chocomon that they’ll meet again in the flower field. Again, Wallace’s mentality isn’t that different from Chocomon’s at this point – he may not be delusional to the point he wants to literally turn back time, but he still thinks that reproducing the conditions of seven years prior will fix everything and make it all better again.
Tumblr media
During this whole time, the older(?) kids are getting progressively younger, and it’s turning out to impact not only their physical bodies but also their mentalities. At this point, they’re starting to lose awareness of what’s happening to them, as they become more and more connected to Chocomon’s emotions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daisuke is smart enough to catch on that Wallace definitely knows what’s going on, and starts to interrogate him. Recall that Daisuke is completely within his rights to do so at this point – Wallace is not only acting incredibly shady, he’s also being dismissive and refusing to give Daisuke any concrete answers about something that most certainly involves him at this point. As the 02 kids keep reiterating, their seniors have been kidnapped, and it’s pretty clear to anyone that Wallace knows something about this, but he continues to blow them off.
Wallace also doesn’t seem to be very happy about the fact Gumimon had evolved during the battle – remember, Wallace is very resistant to changes in his status quo, and especially when it involves Gumimon evolving in a similar way to Chocomon.
Tumblr media
Daisuke continues to pry into what’s going on with Wallace and Chocomon, and Gumimon, who understands that there’s no use in denying that this is a problem, tries to be straightforward about it – but Wallace, still stubbornly refusing to open up about it, won’t even let Gumimon tell Daisuke about the truth.
Tumblr media
Daisuke realizes that they’re not going to make any territory as it is, so he decides to have Lighdramon take them to Summer Memory for the time being, bonding a bit more with Wallace in the process.
Tumblr media
Once they reach Summer Memory, the kids learn about Takeru and Hikari getting stalled by Chocomon on the train, and the fact everyone else on it had disappeared – meaning that the responsibility that Wallace is carrying for not taking care of this problem begins to weigh further on him. Daisuke, Miyako, and Iori continue to interrogate him about what he knows.
Tumblr media
But Wallace, still stubbornly, refuses to talk, and being in Summer Memory only drowns him in further memories of his past with Chocomon and Gumimon. We learn a bit more about Gumimon’s past, too – apparently, he was quite the crybaby…
Tumblr media
And when Gumimon finally begins to spill the details of what’s going on – that Chocomon wants to see the younger Wallace and is kidnapping kids with his Digivice and turning them younger as a result – Wallace still continues to double down on his denial. Notice his wording – his specific insistence that things will go back to “how they used to be,” because it’s not just about getting Chocomon back, but also a fixation on recreating that happy childhood he had with him.
(There’s also a bit of a cute moment around here where Daisuke asks Wallace if he needs to call his mom – after having teased him for being a mama’s boy earlier, Daisuke really is starting to care about his welfare. It’s also amusingly mentioned that Daisuke, Miyako, and Iori are broke out of money until they meet up with Takeru and Hikari again…)
Tumblr media
That night, Wallace tries to go off by himself to the flower field, not even bringing Gumimon with him – as he implies later, he doesn’t even want to get Gumimon involved with this because he was the closest to Chocomon – but Daisuke, having finally caught on to his suspicion that Chocomon is not only relevant to Wallace but also Wallace’s partner, confronts him about it. Wallace thus finally spills the details – that Gumimon and Chocomon were born from the same egg, that Wallace kept them from his mother and stuck with them during childhood, and that, seven years prior, Chocomon suddenly vanished while they were playing at the flower field.
Wallace: I’ve never been able to forget about Chocomon since then. Not even after moving to New York, not even once. We were such good friends…So why did Chocomon have to end up like that? Does he hate me for not being able to save him? Daisuke: So the enemy we’re fighting is actually your Digimon? Your most important friend?! Daisuke: Of course you’d never be okay with that…
Daisuke is in shock, even though he’d already started to suspect this.
I said, earlier, that Wallace is being extremely irrational and in denial. I did not say that his feelings aren’t valid. Wallace’s situation sucks, and Daisuke recognizes why this hurts for him so much, especially after putting himself in Wallace’s shoes (and in fact it’s even worse for Wallace; Daisuke’s only known V-mon for less than half a year, whereas Wallace is talking about his formative childhood friend).
Tumblr media
Daisuke: I’d never be able to do it. If V-mon were to turn into something completely different…Even if he went on a horrible rampage…There’s no way I’d ever be able to bring V-mon down. Wallace: Daisuke… Daisuke: So then, what are we supposed to do? Wallace: It’s not something you need to be crying over. Daisuke: But…
This entire scene is an interesting one for many reasons, especially because of the position in which it aired – this was in the middle of the arc in 02 when everyone was getting their second Digimentals. Daisuke had, only a few episodes prior, expressed trepidation over “friendly fire” – fighting any friend who had become controlled by the Digimon Kaiser. This is consistent with that (and the 02 kids’ general bleeding hearts and difficulty with fighting friends), and it’s even worse – unlike before, when we were talking about evil mind control, Chocomon is pretty obviously a victim of his own madness. And although Wallace continues to insist that this isn’t Daisuke’s problem, Daisuke, for all he’s rough around the edges, is a genuinely kind person who thinks of others to the point he breaks down in genuine tears over the problem, and it’s consistent with not only his prior characterization of thinking about others’ feelings in 02 episode 8, but also how this eventually ties into his indignation over seeing others being hurt (episode 20) or their feelings being trampled on (episode 49).
Another interesting thing here is that at no point in the movie is “killing” ever brought up, but rather the word used is taosu, which literally means “defeat”. In 02 proper, its use is somewhat euphemistic – most famously, it was used in episode 44, when Miyako and Hawkmon have a crisis over killing LadyDevimon (so in short, there’s no illusions about the fact killing is in play here). But in this context, it’s not even really about killing. Wallace doesn’t even want to fight in the first place. The sheer action of physically beating up a beloved friend is painful, with killing as the ultimate unwanted outcome. Everything about this sucks. But Daisuke correctly points out that Taichi and the others’ welfare is on the line here, and everything feels like the wrong thing to do. “What are we supposed to do?”, indeed.
Tumblr media
So that’s why Daisuke momentarily indulges in Wallace’s denial-induced pattern of thought, because it really does seem like the only out here. (Especially because, from Daisuke’s perspective, Wallace seems to understands this situation better than he does – even if he doesn’t actually.) If they go to the flower field, they won’t have to fight and everyone will be saved and it’ll be fine! Wallace is irrational and in denial, but you can’t blame him and Daisuke for really, really wanting to believe this.
And Daisuke drops this zinger of a line, too:
Daisuke: So don’t say you’re gonna go alone.
Daisuke’s characterization really is important here, because, again, this movie came out during the first arc of the series, before episode 21 and the second half that centered around Ichijouji Ken’s redemption. At this point in the series, Daisuke was still being extremely deferential to others, especially his seniors, in almost all cases, and although episode 8 was a momentary glimpse into the kind of resolve Daisuke could have when it involved something he really cared about, this movie is really the first major sneak peek into how supportive of a person Daisuke is going to develop into, especially when it comes to Ken.
Tumblr media
And Gumimon reaffirms that he’s going to stick by Wallace no matter what – filling the traditional role of a partner that Chocomon won’t anymore.
So they go to the flower field, and everything…fails spectacularly.
Tumblr media
Well, before that, we get a glimpse of how the older kids are doing (they’re barely even conscious now), and we finally get to see Chocomon “in his element” and not as a rampaging monster. Things really, really aren’t going great for Chocomon either. He desperately and sadly jumps among the kids, trying to find Wallace among them, and what he really, really wants is just to be with his partner again. But they’re all “wrong”…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At first it seems like Wallace is making headway – for a second, Chocomon even recognizes him as Wallace! – but he continues to insist that he wants Wallace to come “with him”, to where it’s “cold and lonely and no one is there”. The way he starts chanting that he wants to go back is represented by the young Chocomon’s voice getting progressively lost in the monster’s voice, and Wallace, starting to grasp how futile Chocomon’s clinging to the past is, makes his first statement of the movie’s core theme: you can’t go back to the past, the only thing you can do is look forward and think about what you can do from there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So after witnessing very clearly, in front of his eyes, how Chocomon is not going to listen to reason and will accept nothing less than something he can’t have, to the point of evolving and distorting everything around him, Wallace’s denial finally hits its limits, and he accepts that fighting him will be the only option out. (Again, note the use of “defeat” here – it’s not really about beelining straight to euthanizing him as much as Wallace has finally gotten over his refusal to fight Chocomon at all.) And considering that the situation is clearly rapidly escalating, and that Chocomon himself is clearly not in sound mind and having a terrible time himself, it doesn’t take much to see why the bleeding-heart Daisuke would also end up conceding so quickly. There’s a limit to how much you can hold out with pacifism when that just happened right in front of you!
(Also, Wallace no longer uses the honorific on Daisuke. Friendship level up!)
Tumblr media
Chocomon evolves further and further, and his personality starts to actually take a turn for the cruel as he starts toying with the Digimon. In fact, it’s made pretty apparent that they’re no match for him from the get-go – he keeps toying with reality and forcing the Digimon back and forth between forms. He ends up “altering the world” into something reflective of his own heart, and it’s repeatedly pointed out that it’s “cold and lonely” – in short, Chocomon is subjecting the world to feel the same pain and loneliness that he felt, the pain that was enough to drive him mad.
And Wallace finally has this to say:
Wallace: Like Daisuke said, I’m a big baby. But you’re not Chocomon anymore. No, you’re the one who did this to Chocomon…Chocomon was all by himself and lonely, and in that loneliness, he tried so hard…But you took his heart and locked it away somewhere! I’m going to fight. If I defeat you…If that means I can free Chocomon from you…Then I want to fight, too! I need strength…
Firstly, Wallace acknowledges that he’s been a brat – that he’s been philandering around and acting spoiled and stringing everyone around (character development!!). And secondly, Wallace finally acknowledges the truth of Chocomon no longer being recognizable anymore. The ending quarter of this movie focuses heavily on the idea that Chocomon has now become so distorted that he can no longer even be considered the same thing anymore – it’s ambiguous as to whether that “you” that Wallace refers to having taken Chocomon away is actually a separate supernatural entity, or whether Chocomon was drowning in his own loneliness to the point those negative feelings became their own entity and consumed him.
In actuality, though – it doesn’t really matter! 02 as a series would also go on to blur the boundaries between external interference and internal forces – Ken having the Dark Seed as an influence but also being personally responsible for his own emotions driving him over the edge, and having to take responsibility regardless, and Oikawa technically being possessed by Vamdemon but still being goaded on by his own fixation with the past (in fact, notice how all three of these cases have to do with a fixation on things that can’t be brought back). Right now, the only thing that matters is that Chocomon is no longer recognizable, the thing in front of Wallace is no longer the same friend he knew, and even being able to bring back Chocomon’s sense of self is something Wallace wants.
(Daisuke also throws in a more charitable interpretation of Wallace’s actions even when he’s being hard on himself, pointing out that he can’t really be called a “baby” when he also did have genuine determination to come all the way there to find Chocomon despite his age.)
Tumblr media
Hikari and Takeru arrive on the scene, and after Daisuke loses his marbles a bit over his happiness at seeing Hikari-chan there, Hikari points out the same thing: “You’re not the Digimon that was crying.”
Tumblr media
Chocomon starts turning the 02 kids younger too – and remember, it was established earlier that he was using the Digivice as a guide. That meant it made sense for him to target the older kids, since they had the same model of Digivice Wallace did. But Daisuke and the others have D-3s, and there’s no way to really mistake them for Wallace – so in other words, Chocomon has devolved to inflicting cruelty for no good reason, with the original motive having completely vanished.
Tumblr media
In increasing desperation, Angewomon and Angemon decide to evolve, and…look, I don’t have an explanation either, but I have to admit I’m somewhat amused by the fact that even they don’t really seem to have an explanation beyond “well, we’re desperate and hopefully it’ll do something!”
So they evolve, and Chocomon oneshots them. But that’s okay, because they released some golden Digimentals for Daisuke and Wallace to use! So V-mon and Gumimon get shiny new golden forms –
Tumblr media Tumblr media
– and Chocomon pretty much oneshots them, too. More specifically, he eats them…and within his body, Magnamon and Gumimon’s consciousness gets eaten apart to the point they start forgetting their partners. Wow, this situation just got worse.
Yeah, so, despite the movie being named after the golden Digimentals, the actual point being here is that power means absolutely nothing in this situation. Remember, I pointed out that even from the beginning Chocomon was straight-out warping reality – they really didn’t have a chance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So basically, everything devolves into complete chaos. Everyone’s being turned into little kids, with the mentality to match. All the Digimon are being oneshotted and being tossed around like tissues. But the one constant through all of this is that the kids are constantly running after their partners.
Remember how, back when the older kids were first getting sucked into Chocomon’s world, the one thing that seemed to remain intact at first was “love”? That “love” is what reaches out to Magnamon and Gumimon inside Chocomon, and makes them remember their partners again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And, more importantly, that “love” is what awakens Chocomon – the real Chocomon – inside his consciousness, and he wordlessly makes a gesture begging Magnamon and Gumimon to kill him. And so they do – with understanding and consent from all three involved.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So in the end, the most extreme conclusion was reached. Chocomon died, at the hands of Daisuke and Wallace’s partners. But in that moment before he died, Chocomon’s pain was relieved, and he was himself again – Gumimon says that “Chocomon was smiling”, even in spite of his usual personality being that of a crybaby. They may have failed in their struggle to prevent the inevitable conclusion of having to kill Chocomon, but they did, to some degree, “save” him – so all of it did mean something in the end. And Daisuke promises that this still doesn’t mean the end of everything – they may have not been able to bring back Chocomon, and especially not in the exact way that would make things “the way they were before”, but the future is still there for him to return someday.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, we clean up loose ends. Taichi and the others are returned safely, and in the end, Wallace decides to still be a vagrant for a bit longer – and to flirt with Hikari and Miyako a bit before he leaves. In the end, Wallace still has a long way to go if he wants to really grow as a person. But as Miyako points out, he’s gotten a bit bolder than he was before – and he’s greeted with an egg in the end, as if opening up new possibilities.
The Door to Summer contradicts the finding of this egg, or at least opens up the possibility that this wasn’t actually Chocomon’s, so it’s ambiguous as to whether the frame of Terriermon and Lopmon at the end of the credits is meant to be taken literally, or if it’s just symbolic. But even in the case of the latter, Chocomon is seen as Lopmon, a form he never got to have in Wallace’s childhood – so, in the end, it’s about different possibilities opening up in the future, rather than replicating that of the past.
All right, let’s recap this movie for those doing a tl;dr! Or, more specifically, let’s recap the events in chronological order:
Sometime before 1995, an egg emerges from Wallace’s mother’s computer, and hatches into twin Digimon, Chocomon and Gumimon.
In 1995, while playing in a flower field in Summer Memory with Wallace and Gumimon, Chocomon disappears for unknown reasons.
For the next seven years, Chocomon is trapped in delirium, full of loneliness and pain from being unable to see Wallace, and starts to become obsessed with the idea of reuniting with him, but, in his madness, accepts only a version of that reunion that involves him being the same young child he was when they parted, as if nothing had changed since.
Wallace, likewise, develops a fixation with getting Chocomon back so that things can be like “the way they were before”, even after moving to New York.
In 2002, Chocomon begins to kidnap kids with the same model of Digivice that Wallace has, and starts to forcibly turn them younger and send them into delirium like his own, hoping that this will bring the “Wallace” he wants back. Wallace starts to chase after him and decides that returning to the flower field in Summer Memory will allow him to communicate with Chocomon and make him go back to the way he was before.
Takeru and Hikari, hoping to find a lead on their seniors’ disappearance, drop a line to Daisuke, Miyako, and Iori, who head to the United States, also hoping to find a lead in Summer Memory. On the way, they run into Wallace, who is evasive about his connection to Chocomon and the kidnapping incidents.
At Summer Memory, Daisuke confronts Wallace and learns about his story, emphasizing deeply with the difficulty in killing an important friend, and agreeing that they should reach out to Chocomon at the flower field.
Chocomon continues to fall deeper into madness at the flower field, and Wallace and the others realize that they have no choice but to fight him. As Chocomon becomes so distorted he’s no longer recognizable, Wallace declares an intent to at least save his consciousness.
As the fight carries on, the kids are de-aged by Chocomon in his madness, and Magnamon (V-mon) and Gumimon are swallowed by Chocomon. However, the kids’ love for their partners awakens Chocomon’s consciousness again, and he asks Magnamon and Gumimon to end his pain.
With everything settled, Wallace and Gumimon are able to face forward into the future in the hopes of meeting Chocomon again and starting anew from scratch.
The Door to Summer
Actually, there’s not much to really be said about Hurricane Touchdown’s spiritual sequel The Door to Summer, except that it revisits similar territory to the movie, observing it more in Daisuke’s context than it does Wallace’s. (The story is very much more Daisuke’s than it is Wallace or Mimi’s.) The short synopsis is that Daisuke, having had a pretty bad time recently, finds himself in contact with a mysterious “winter” (in the middle of summer!) that seems to reflect his own heart…and a mysterious amnesiac girl whom Mimi names Onpu “Nat-chan”, who immediately latches onto Daisuke. In the end, “Nat-chan” turns out to be “a Digimon who’s taken in a lot of evil data,” who goes on a rampage and forces the others to fight and eventually kill her.
Although the reason for Nat-chan going on a rampage is more concrete than what was given in Hurricane Touchdown (it’s portrayed as “data chips” that seem like fireflies), The Door to Summer also makes it very clear that it wasn’t just supernatural influence, but also Nat-chan’s loneliness, desire for a human partner, and jealousy of Daisuke and V-mon’s relationship. Daisuke, while showing immense hesitation about fighting her when she had befriended them, still manages to “save” her in some way, to the point she actually verbally thanks him as she dies. And in the end, Daisuke and the others decide to take her egg and find a partner for her – even if she can’t be Daisuke’s partner like she wanted, she can still start anew with someone else.
Wallace in Kizuna
Warning: The rest of this post contains spoilers for Kizuna.
As said before, Hurricane Touchdown has been said to be the favorite Digimon movie of the director of Kizuna – and certainly, while Kizuna references all four Adventure-series theatrical movies, Hurricane Touchdown’s references are the least subtle, with the plot point of de-aging kids lifted directly from it. (Except, in this case, it’s in the context of trapping oneself in blissful memories rather than being portrayed as the upfront listless torture it is in Hurricane Touchdown.) Moreover, the theme of warning against being fixated on the past is just as present in Kizuna as it was in Hurricane Touchdown, especially when Kizuna’s main antagonist (Menoa) also falls victim to something that’s part supernatural influence and part getting swallowed by her own negative feelings…so it’s only fitting that Wallace himself makes a cameo in the movie. Two cameos, in fact.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fact that Wallace is established as canonically existing within the Adventure main timeline has thrown a lot of people for a loop, especially since recent franchise events have made it questionable as to how it’s possible for canon to even make sense anymore because consistency has just gone out the window, but the Pixiv dictionary’s chosen rationalization for this is that, at the very least, “(some version of) Wallace exists in the timeline of the main story”. I’m inclined to agree with this evaluation; the fact that people around the globe can agree that the movie is questionably canonical but can’t even agree on how, and the fact that certain franchise entries considered canon (Tag Tamers) have their own contradictions, plus the fact that it’s not like Hurricane Touchdown takes a complete knife to timeline and lore common sense and more that it has some contradictory minutiae that are really easy to sidestep, it’s not actually that hard to say that some timeline of events that reasonably resembled Hurricane Touchdown (with maybe only some minor timeline or evolution differences) happened during the summer of 2002, and thus that Wallace exists.
Assuming that the story of our canonical Wallace is mostly the same or similar to that of the story presented in Hurricane Touchdown, Kizuna provides us with quite a bit of interesting information. We’re treated to two shots relevant to him: one in the form of his name at the top of Koushirou’s list of kidnapping victims, and one where he appears in person at the very end. It’s hard to miss him; he’s wearing similar colors to the clothes he wore in Hurricane Touchdown so you can identify him even at a distance, and he’s also the only loser around here with two partners. That’s right, two! Two!! Chocomon is back – and as Lopmon, exactly like the end credits card of Hurricane Touchdown depicted him!
So it looks like that, one way or another (after Hurricane Touchdown, after The Door to Summer, whatever, make up your own story), Wallace did manage to reunite with Chocomon and start a new life with him. It looks like not all of his habits have died – he’s depicted in a place with palm trees, meaning he’s definitely not in New York or Colorado, so either he’s moved again, is still maintaining the vagrant lifestyle, or just happens to be on vacation.
The other interesting thing here is that Wallace is depicted as one of the Eosmon kidnapping victims. According to Menoa, kidnapping victims were ones who were entertaining thoughts of wanting to go back to the past and remain a child forever – something that should intuitively be against everything Wallace learned in Hurricane Touchdown. But it’s important to point out that Eosmon’s lure is depicted as working on a subconscious level – certainly, if the kidnapping victims in Kizuna were to be outright asked if they wanted to be kidnapped and de-aged and trapped in their childhoods forever, most of them would probably say “no!”, and Wallace is likely no exception! But even if he’s starting his life anew with Chocomon now, it’s not hard to believe that there would still be lingering subconscious regrets about everything he’d lost with Chocomon and the childhood they could never spend together, ones that Eosmon’s allure would end up connecting with, even if the events of Hurricane Touchdown had consciously taught him better. Alas, being a human is hard.

Note
if you're still feeling like playing the rgg game can you answer: a3, a4, a7, b4, b5, c2, c10, e2, f7?
Yeah yeah yeah! <3
A) Just Your Faves:
3.Favorite Protagonist(s) Ichiban Kasuga Ichiban is just such a breath of fresh air; he's funny, relatable, charismatic. I'm more partial to a protag that's upbeat and a little dumb as opposed to someone stoic. I'll give Majima an honorable mention as he's also a lot of fun to walk through a story with.
4. Favorite Antagonist(s) Jin Kuwana. Like many who love this character, it's tied to a personal history of being bullied. There's only so much "waiting for things to change" before you can't take it anymore. Having someone like Kuwana who has decided that kids are dying now, I'm not waiting for the law is a comfort. "Doing what is right" isn't always going to mean following the law. AND HE'S SUPER CUTE JUST LOOK AT HIM. HE'S MY BABYGIRL
7. Favorite substory(ies) I loved hunting for the squirrels in Lost Judgment, and looking for cats in Judgment. In general I love answering the call of the primal urge to hunt and gather.
B) Let's get Personal:
4. Who would you like to post more, but don't? Why don't you? Watase...because I've combed through his tag like five or six times and reblogged everything just as much...and a good bit of the tag is just me being an idiot LMAO
5. Which character do you think you would bump heads with most if you knew them in real life? Masato Arakawa & Yoshitaka Mine. The problem being we're too much alike. The three of us in a room would be an insufferable nightmare. Three introverted loners, two with a complex of being the sibling no one not even your own parents liked? We gotta open a window the edge and depression is curling the paint help.
C) Let's be Subjective
2. Which game had the worst plotline? It's a tie between Y4 & Y6. TBH I couldn't tell you one fucking thing about Y6 and I played it twice other than its shit ending...all of it is shit I hate Y6 LOL. And Y4 is just - I don't get how it's a fan favorite, Akiyama I'm certain is the only reason why anyone holds it in such regard.
10. Which game do you think should get a remake? You could remake Y6 and retcon Haruka shaking up with bighead and I'd be satisfied. You could retcon all of Y6 and I'd be over the moon. Part of that game's problem is it just felt like prestige tv. One really long showcase of star studded named like Shun Oguri, Beat Takeshi, Tatsuya Fujiwara, and Hiroyuki Miyasako. I mean I guess Y0 did that too but it did it well, this one did not.
E) This or That?
2. Bops: Haruka Sawamura, T-SET, or Dream Line? Haruka Sawamura. So Much More is THE song okay. It's bright and catchy. And of course the all star remixes are so goodddddd. It's funny her VA sings the same way for Rise Kujikawa, but I absolutely hateeee her! The character's personality definitely helps make music likeable.
F) Insert Yourself
7. Who are you fighting on top of the Millennium Tower rooftop? I'm getting at least one swing at Kiryu and I'm gonna be screaming my qualms and crying the whole time cuz I'm so mad LMAO. You could line them all up and let me get one hit in though, I'll think of a reason why later >:3

“SIX IDOLS”
CHAPTER 3: “START LINE!” (Complete)
* K - Six Idols (List of Chapters) * Projects & Chapters
Translation: Naru-kun Raws: Ridia
"Are you sane?"
That was Saruhiko Fushimi's first sentence in response to the offer.
"Fushimi! How do you say that to the president!"
Seri Awashima's scolding flew quickly. Her expression, with her shapely eyebrows and a depressing look, is beautiful and terrifying. Most of the idols would be shaking and flat-headed.
However, Fushimi was no ordinary idol. He gave Awashima a terrible moment and then said...
"Deputy Director. You thought the same thing, right? You can't do that, but if you do, the reputation of this office will collapse."
"Hmmm…!"
Awashima's eyebrows turned more upside down, but she refused to say anything else. From what he could see, Awashima probably has the same opinion as Fushimi.
He took a quick look at "Idol King", Reisi Munakata from "Promotion Scepter 4".
"I don't think it's sensible to be on a talk show."
So…
That was the offer Munakata made to Fushimi.
Darkening his stagnant eyes, Fushimi said that directly to the president.
"You think I have something to talk about in such a ridiculous place? It's horrible to think about having to put up with shitty small talk. I don't want to breathe the same air. Please decline."
Awashima put her thin finger to her forehead and sighed deeply.
"You're..."
Rather than scold, Fushimi distorts only the edge of his mouth and laughs at Awashima's surrender tone.
"That's why it's not suitable. I can't entertain the viewer with a story, even if it's a request from the 'Idol King'."
Fushimi looked at Munakata.
As usual, a soft smile floats on Munakata's face.
"If it's just singing and dancing, that's fine. I reject anything else."
"I see."
Munakata took charge of one and suddenly turned his gaze to the side. Fushimi had to control himself when he was caught and was about to move his face away from him. Even if he took his eyes off, he shouldn't. Right after that, he felt like he was going to lose something.
After a few seconds of silence that seemed to crush him, Munakata fluttered.
"Awashima-kun. Do you think so too?"
Awashima unconsciously stretched her back after being shaken by the question.
"No, in my opinion, the president's decisions should not be questioned."
"I'm not telling you to endorse my suggestions. I am listening to your suggestions."
Awashima bit her lip. Fushimi looks at her in a funny way.
Seri Awashima is an idol who belongs to "Promotion Scepter 4". She is extremely popular as an actress and she is also the deputy director of this office. There are many entertainment magazines that write three-page articles on Awashima, who supports Munakata both in public and in private, but if you look at Fushimi, it is a comedy.
Munakata and Awashima are master-servants who are completely walled in and there is no male and female emotion there.
After caring for Awashima for a long time, he was sure that she would support Munakata.
"I have the same opinion as Fushimi. Fushimi definitely lacks the ability to be considered essential for talk shows, the ability to react according to the atmosphere of the place."
On the contrary, it was comforting to say it so clearly. Fushimi shakes his shoulders slightly and laughs.
Awashima continues.
"It is clearer than looking at the fire what will happen if it appears in such a show. It will respond to the words of the moderator with thorns, it will freeze the air in the place, and if there is a great man in the place, the feelings of that person also will be bad. If such a program were to air, it could cause a drop in the image of "Promotion Scepter 4", not to mention the popularity of Fushimi."
"I see."
Munakata smiled, muttering again.
"In other words, it means, 'I can't do it because I can't do it.'
"……"
"I couldn't do it until now, so I'm sure I can't do it. That's why I won't. You can't do it because I won't. I see, it certainly makes sense. I'm sure you can't even stand on two legs in such a place."
Fushimi's face was blurred.
"Who said I can't?"
At Fushimi's statement, Awashima was quick to reply.
"Hmm, Fushimi? Calm down!"
"I just don't want to do that, so I won't."
"Well that's even more surprising. 'You can do it, but you don't want to.' It's usually an excuse like an elementary school student, right?"
"What?"
"President! Please stop!"
Awashima's restraint was empty and echoed in the president's office. Looks like she could see it. What kind of route did she expect in the future and how will she get involved.
The same was seen in Fushimi.
That's why he showed a vain smile as a resistance as strong as possible.
"Do you have the soul to provoke me and let me do it? It's useless. I know what you have in your hands."
"If you know, you're fast, because you know I'm not such a childish copycat."
Fushimi stood out after the last stand was crushed.
Munakata turned his face slightly. The angle of reflection of the light changed and his glasses glowed brightly.
"Fushimi Saruhiko. This is the president's order. Appear on a talk show. If you can, do it. If you can't, do it."
Facing Fushimi, who distorted his face in anger, and Awashima, who had a pale face, Reisi Munakata showed a dignified smile suitable for the "Blue Idol King".
"If you can't pull this, off quit "Promotion Scepter 4"."
++++++++++
Saruhiko Fushimi is a flower-shaped idol in "Promotion Scepter 4", both in name and in reality.
His popularity is just a word. The number of viewers is less than that of Reisi Munakata, who is an "Idol King", but unlike him, who also serves as the office representative, his exposure as an idol is extremely high. With an overwhelming performance in both singing and dancing, he is the center of the special unit "Shoumutai".
On the other hand, his humanity is not very well received. He is not profitable or domineering, but he is hostile. It is extremely rare to see him smile even in front of fans, and some image that captures that rare smile is taken at a very high price in online auctions etc.
Quiet, unfriendly and lonely idol.
That would be Fushimi's public assessment.
Fushimi thought the evaluation wasn't bad. That was the case, and if it were known, it would not be associated with silly stories. Originally, Fushimi was a person who hated to socialize, and even hearing uninteresting jokes and useless stories, it made him sick.
It was an impossible request for him to appear on a talk show, smile and wave kindly.
"Fu, fu, fu…"
He followed the prescribed steps as he breathed heavily. He stretched out his arms, ducked, turned sharply, and jumped high. From the headphones plugged into his ears, his routine flowed incessantly, forcing him to dance incessantly.
"Promotion Scepter 4". About 8 hours after returning to the "Aoun Bedroom" where the idols from the president's office belong...
He was engrossed in those lessons all the time, except for a short break.
Of course, it was not a necessary practice. If it's his song, Fushimi can dance with his eyes closed and his ears covered. Dance was a physical movement for Fushimi, just as he didn't have to think about it to walk.
So why does he keep practicing mindlessly?
If he sweats and moves his body, he doesn't have to think about anything else.
(Tsk… Damn… Shit!)
Still, Munakata's line emerged between the songs and each rhythm of the dance, and Fushimi had to distort his face each time.
(You can't do it because you can't.)
(I can do it, but I don't want to do it, so I won't.)
(Excuse like an elementary school student.)
"Shit!"
The moment he exhaled irritation in an angry voice, his concentration altered.
Sweat dripped onto the wooden floor, down the back of the worn dance shoes. Fushimi collapsed forward unable to assume a passive role.
"Tsk..."
He bit his back teeth.
When he raised his face, he saw himself lying in a mirror that filled the entire wall.
Sticky anger spread across his chest.
"No, hey...!"
Squeezing a piercing voice from deep in his throat, Fushimi tried to get up again.
At that moment, he opened the door to the lesson room.
"Fushimi-san. Please take a break soon."
Looking back, Akiyama Himori stood there.
It wasn't just Akiyama. Benzai and Kamo were also behind. Among the units to which Fushimi belongs, the so-called "adults".
With that alone, he was able to read most of the circumstances.
Fushimi got up and walked over to the plastic bottle placed near the wall.
"No matter how much I train, you don't care."
When he lifted the plastic bottle, he was light enough to shake. He seems like he had consumed it all before he knew it.
Benzai shook his shoulders and laughed.
"It doesn't matter. Fushimi-san, you are the center."
"Tsk."
Fushimi crouched on the spot with an irony.
"It's a light meal."
Kamo, holding a basket woven from wisteria, opened it in front of Fushimi. Bacon sandwich and mineral water. Facing them, Fushimi finally remembered that he hadn't eaten anything since he returned.
He took it in silence and brought it to his mouth. Fushimi, who chews on the scented golden buns, raises his eyebrows, pours it with water, and then swallows it.
"…Good."
"I'm used to it."
Kamo smiled and said that he was a cook before becoming an idol. When "Shoumutai" meets at midnight, they often gather in Kamo's room in anticipation of his meals.
After eating completely, Fushimi turned his stagnant eyes towards Akiyama and his friends.
"So what are you doing?"
"I am here by order of the president. You are still an irrational person."
"What are you talking about?"
"Both."
Akiyama sat there with his knees aligned. He has a unique history of being a former soldier, and the appearance of he sitting down from him is quite striking.
"Please let us help you, Fushimi-san. You are the center of the 'Dream Corps'. If you continue as you are now, you will greatly disappoint the expectations of the fans."
"……"
"You know that, Fushimi-san. This time, it won't be business as usual. It's a talk. The other part is absolutely necessary."
Fushimi fell silent at Akiyama's theory.
Fushimi Saruhiko is the center of "Shoumutai". However, contrary to his standing position, he rarely appears throughout practice. He believes that there is no point in hanging out with others and slowing down his performance. Fushimi fascinates with the best songs and dances. It was Fushimi's general acknowledgment, no, the body of hesitation that the other members just had to follow him.
So far, that was fine. They were able to offer customers satisfactory performance.
However, Akiyama said that he is different now.
Fushimi tried to swallow what he told him.
"So, are you trying to turn those hiding behind the door into my fellow practitioners?"
From outside the room, a sign of discomfort was felt.
The other members of "Shoumutai" look at their faces. Apparently everyone was waiting outside because they were worried about Fushimi. With Domyoji on top, Fuse, Enomoto, Goto, and Hidaka enter the room.
Akiyama looks at them and looks back at Fushimi.
"They are very experienced in conversations and they know how to behave on stage. They are great practice partners. Besides, they all want to help you, Fushimi-san."
Akiyama was looking seriously at Fushimi's face. The other members also had a serious expression to support the words. They certainly wanted to help Fushimi.
However, Fushimi didn't have the spirituality to be impressed to find out.
He didn't think that was all, but it is true that he felt it was extra care. That person's temperament for warmth and compassion may be weak by nature.
And all the members of "Shoumutai" including Akiyama knew it.
"I am well aware that it is an extra step, and then Fushimi-san, please. Practice it on yourself. That is…"
Akiyama advances on his knees,
"It's work. Work is perfect. That's the motto of 'Shoumutai'."
Fushimi frowned and, after a brief moment, replied.
"...That's it. Damn it."

"Good evening everyone! It's 'Let's Talk' time again this week! The moderator is me and Andy Domyoji!"
"It is a great honor to be here. Thank you."
Fushimi was trying to calm his mind by thinking of a suicide method while he was facing light talk from Domyoji and Akiyama.
Of course, it is not production. Fushimi decided to participate in the fictional talk show "Let's Talk" as a guest because he thought it would be better to get closer to the real situation if he was practicing anyway.
The MC is Domyoji, the assistant is Akiyama, and the other members are regulars, behind Fushimi. MC Domyoji was the one who entered the room, as he only appeared on variety shows with a pin.
"Alright, let's call our special guest! Akiyama-san, I never thought this person would come."
"Yes. It's Saruhiko Fushimi from the center of "Shoumutai". Please applaud him."
Probably because they are from the "Dream Corps", but Fushimi walks up to the two of them, keeping the dip in the back of his throat. The applause from the other members is cold.
Fushimi stepped forward in front of Domyoji and Akiyama, hands in pockets and back huddled.
That was all, but for some reason there was silence.
"……?"
Domyoji's face was still drawn, although he didn't look at it. Akiyama looked at Fushimi with a serious face as usual. What? When he thought about it, Domyoji whispered...
"Fushimi-san, introduce yourself! Come on, introduce yourself!"
"Oh. Fushimi Saruhiko."
"What are you saying! Tell the camera!"
He turns his face to the one pointing there. When he turned his upper body to that side and murmured his name in the same way, Domyoji held his head.
"It's not like that, Fushimi-san, haven't you seen a talk show?!"
"No."
When he replied softly, Domyoji's face turned blue in a funny way. As he exposed his mouth to him, he looked towards Akiyama as if he was seeking salvation. Akiyama didn't panic at all and turned his attention to whoever was behind Fushimi.
"You. Let’s go."
"Yes, yes."
The one who stood up suddenly was Goto Ren, the weirdo from "Shoumutai". He didn't have a private relationship (or rather, Fushimi has almost no private relationships), but he knows that he has many hobbies that he doesn't understand. This is because of Goto's strange hobbies that are always rolling in "Shoumutai's" dressing room.
Akiyama was in a serious tone with Goto, who came forward with a noble look.
"Present yourself."
"Yes."
Goto turned towards the expected direction of the camera without any hesitation. He swings one arm wide as if to point into the distance
"Hello everyone, this is Goto Ren from the "Dream Corps". The instrument I recently started playing is the sanshin. Nice to meet you~"
Then Goto returned to the place that was supposed to be the audience and sat down.
After Akiyama finished the demonstration, he turned his confident gaze towards Fushimi.
"This is how you do it."
"What?"
Akiyama continues his words, ignoring Fushimi's fall.
"It's not just the name you need to introduce yourself on the talk show. There you have to show what kind of person your "character" Saruhiko Fushimi is. If you look at the current self-introduction, you will see everyone who does not know Goto say "Oh this guy is kind of weird"."
"Well, it's terrible."
As expected, Goto looks hurt too, but Akiyama still doesn't care.
"Based on that, Fushimi-san, please try again."
"Tsk."
He doesn't help even if he clicks his tongue. Fushimi looks at the supposed camera. He glances at an empty space with a wet look, muttering...
"I am Saruhiko Fushimi from "Shoumutai". Nice to meet you."
"Hm..."
Domyoji crossed his arms and frowned.
"I wonder... I feel like the air will freeze if we put him on the show as is..."
"If that happens, it's a shame for the 'Dream Corps'. We have to avoid it."
"I wonder if you understand!"
Anger at seeing him invaded the two MCs. People in the audience also start talking secretly and it feels like a show. If this is a dance lesson, focus.
He left him alone and went out, but the fact that it was a conversation practice barely stopped Fushimi.
This is because Fushimi is undoubtedly the one with the least ability to speak. Losing yourself is the same as incompetence wrapping around his tail and running away.
He doesn't like to run away. Now that he has decided to do it, he has to go through it.
At that moment, one of the audience members raised his hand. Domyoji quickly noticed and pointed at him.
"Yes, Enomoto!"
"Ah, yes, thank you. I am Tatsuya Enomoto."
Tatsuya Enomoto, a weak-looking young man with glasses, stood up from the audience. As he glances at Fushimi, he voices his opinion.
"Huh... How about you say your hobbies or special abilities like Goto did before?"
"Oh! Yes! Fushimi-san, do you have any hobbies or special abilities?"
Fushimi thought for a bit and then responded by muttering.
"My hobby is cracking."
"Dazzling project! Never say it at the table!"
"Special ability is singing and dancing."
"Well, it's a 'Dream Corps', right? No, okay?"
"Oh, I see."
Akiyama and Domyoji understand each other. Fushimi asked without understanding the meaning.
"What do you mean?"
"So is."
"Let's call today's special guest. This is Saruhiko Fushimi!"
In response to Domyoji's call, Fushimi stands up and walks in front of the camera. Changes that have been made many times. But he no longer thinks it's stupid. This is the "practice". The practice is meaningful over and over again, repeating the same thing tirelessly.
Fushimi stood in front of the camera. he exhales small and strong. Right before the live starts, like when you go up on the dark stage and wait for the spotlight to come on.
And Fushimi kicked the ground.
He made two tight turns on the spot. He took steps and moved his hands to cut, deciding a vivid pose. It is a movement infiltrated by genes that has been repeated hundreds and thousands of times.
It's only about three seconds in time, but he certainly speaks eloquently. What kind of person is Saruhiko Fushimi?
Fushimi says, looking at the camera with a gentle gaze.
"I am Saruhiko Fushimi from the 'Dream Corps'. My special ability is to be here now. Nice to meet you."
The exclamation of "Oh…" came from the other members of the audience.
Although the number of people was small, there was also a huge applause at the same time. Fushimi looks at them without emotion. He just did what he could, but apparently they were satisfied with his eyes used to speaking.
"That's it, Fushimi-san! Let's go with this!"
Domyoji enthusiastically holds his fist. Fushimi looks at Domyoji suspiciously.
"You only danced for a moment. Do you always do it live like this?"
"It's okay with that. There are a lot of people who haven't seen Fushimi-san's live show. For those people, that momentary dance is just amazing."
When he heard Akiyama's calm analysis, he wondered if this was the case.
"But it can be a little friendlier. Can you make it a little friendlier?"
"No, this is fine for Domyoji and Fushimi. Since they are originally known to be hostile, it can be said that the characters are more consistent. After that, you just have to say something that stops the flow of the story."
"Sure! Then Fushimi-san, let's practice speaking in that direction!"
They don't know what the address is, but they seemed to be motivated by it. Fushimi was clicking his tongue, looking into their eyes.

And that day has arrived.
Just two weeks after Munakata called him into the president's office and forced him to host a talk show.
Fushimi spent a restless time in THK's (NHK) dressing room.
THK is a broadcasting station operated by a government approved production "Tokijikuin Agency". Despite the operation of the idol entertainment agency, the programs that are broadcast are all solid, such as news and documentaries. This is probably due to the nature of Japan's strongest "Idol King", Kokujoji Daikaku, who is the representative of "Tokijikuin Agency".
That doesn't mean there are no variety shows.
The show "Idol NEO", which Fushimi is about to appear on, is a show with a cutting-edge concept for THK, in which famous and unknown idols were invited to talks and variety shows.
There are many idols who like the attitude of chasing variety shows with the seriousness of THK, and Isana Yashiro, one of the "idol kings," is said to appear as a regular fixture.
While acting, Fushimi saw the past "Idol NEO" several times.
The program itself is a concept that combines conversation, planning and control. Fushimi is called in the chat part and seems to be in a position to insert comments looking at the project and the contest.
Overall, it is a smooth, peaceful, THK-like program.
Therefore, Fushimi was heavy and inevitable.
Even though he has been doing special talk training with the "Shoumutai" for two weeks, he was not sure he could do the same performance in production, rather, he did not want to do it. Just imagining himself chatting with a creepy smile in a calm and peaceful environment made him want to die.
(Alright! Fushimi-san can stay hostile! That's the character.)
Domyoji and others emphasized that, but Fushimi didn't like the concept of "character" in the first place. Other than that, he is smart and unfriendly. He doesn't like to talk to people in vain, he just doesn't want them to delve into themselves.
For Fushimi, appearing on a talk show amounts to torture.
(But it's work.)
Those two words barely contain Fushimi here.
Glanced up. The mirror stand in the dressing room reflects the earthy color of him. Fushimi stood up with a distorted face and a sneer that never reached anyone.
He hit the ground with his feet and then made a sharp turn. He walked moving his limbs and decided a pose. It was a momentary dance that he had decided to do when he introduced himself.
His appearance in the mirror was hilarious.
He kicked the chair in front of him for no reason.
The chair rolled on the floor with a loud noise. By that time, Fushimi had already opened the dressing room door and stepped out.
He walked down the hall quickly. All the staff and talents that came across gave in as soon as they saw Fushimi's appearance.
Fushimi, who was walking through the dark clouds, finally came out.
It appears to be a resting place just outside the studio. Two vending machines and a bank. Fortunately, there was no one. Fushimi stopped by a vending machine and bought unsweetened canned coffee.
"Tsk."
He opened the can and put it in his mouth, cursing, but there was no one to notice.
At that moment, he heard a voice behind the vending machine.
"Saruhiko?"
He was about to drop the canned coffee.
From the other side of the vending machine, a familiar girl was staring at his face.
A beautiful girl like a western doll with closed eyes and pure white hair. Although she was not even a high school student, she was not good for Fushimi because she had a distinctive atmosphere.
Her name is Anna Kushina.
A proud top idol of "Homura Entertainment Office" and former colleague of Fushimi.
However, Fushimi and Anna were silent human beings, and since they were separated for years, there was almost no contact. To Fushimi, Anna is only recognized as a girl who wandered alongside "Red Idol King" Mikoto Suoh.
However, Anna got up from the bench and looked at Fushimi.
He wasn't good at that look. He felt that she could see through his heart.
"What happens?"
When he asked her bluntly, Anna blinked and pointed to the vending machine.
"That."
Looking at the dot, there was a bright red canned juice on the vending machine display. It had the image of a large strawberry.
"It's red and it's really delicious."
After thinking about it for a moment and saying "Ah…", he notices it.
Anna's height doesn't even reach the juice button.
"Do you want me to buy it for you?"
Anna looked at Fushimi with a serious look. After blinking twice, she lowered her forehead.
"……"
Fushimi took a deep breath, stopped and, instead of answering "I don't like it, it's stupid.", he exhaled deeply.
He wasn't sure why he decided to do it. However, when he found out, Fushimi had already taken the coins out of his wallet and put them in the vending machine.
Anna hurriedly pulled out the wallet she had in her pocket.
"This…"
"I don't want it. It's just change."
Fushimi tells Anna to put it away and gives her the canned juice that came out. Anna was fuzzily clutching her wallet for a moment, but she finally opened her mouth and received the juice.
"Thanks, Saruhiko."
Fushimi did not reply. Instead, he squeezed the coffee in her hand and tried to walk back to the dressing room.
Anna called to his back.
"Thanks for today."
Fushimi stopped, looked back and asked.
"What do you mean?"
Anna tilted her neck as she brought the juice to her lips.
"Because we will be together on 'Idol NEO'."
Fushimi opened his mouth. He had no choice but to do so.
Seeing his reaction, Anna asked...
"Didn't you see the script?"
"No I didn't look at it..."
Fushimi remembered his eyes and limbs and held his head.
(Is the director sane? More than that, Anna and I are guest co-stars? If there's Anna who barely talks to me and who has never appeared on a talk show, there's no question there could be an accident during the broadcast.)
But if he's okay, he will, even if it means "job failure."
"It's fine."
Anna suddenly said that when she thought he was spinning around.
Fushimi looked at Anna as if he was surprised.
Anna calmly looked at Fushimi and said...
"We just have to support each other and it will work."
The tone showed an eerie amount of confidence.
Fushimi yelled, wandered around for a while and then asked with uncomfortable feelings.
"Are you used to talk shows?"
"Yes. Sometimes they have called me."
Anna took it easy and surprised Fushimi.
"No... but if you don't talk much..."
"Even if you can't talk much, everyone will tell you it's good."
Fushimi closed his eyes. This is because he remembered what Domyoji and the others said.
"It's playing a kind of 'character'."
The definition of the others. If he doesn’t follow that definition, he won't be accepted. He was there because the president put him in that situation.
Anna, however, shook her head slowly.
"I think it's a little different from that."
"What?"
"I always behave like I'm in the office. It's fine like this, Izumo told me."
Izumo is an idol who can give advice to the members of "Homura", probably Kusanagi Izumo, is the real leader of "Homura Entertainment Office".
Perhaps she remembered that time, a slight smile appeared on Anna's mouth.
"Even if you try to get out of the box, it's a lie. The fans want to see me as I am, that's what Izumo said. So I'm not that nervous."
So Anna said...
"Don't be nervous, Saruhiko. I'm sure everyone wants to see Saruhiko as he is."
Fushimi looked away from Anna. He muttered in an apologetic tone...
"Nonsense, I didn't say I was nervous..."
"Kushina-san!"
The door leading to the station opened and staff appeared from there. Fushimi and his eyes meet and grimace, but he soon notices Anna and breathes in relief.
"I'm glad you were here. I have a meeting for the song, can you go to the studio?"
"Yes."
Anna took control, finished drinking all the juice and looked at Fushimi.
"Saruhiko. See you later."
Anna then returned to the station with the staff.
Fushimi, who was left alone, leaned back against the vending machine and looked up at the sky.
"Just be myself?"
Not what they tell him to do, but what he usually does.
Fushimi doesn't know what he is like. He can't do it because he doesn't have an objective view of himself. Fushimi, who sees idols as pure work, couldn't imagine who would be happy to show his true face.
But at least there was no "lie" there.
Anna's words will echo in Fushimi's head forever.
++++++++++
"Promotion Scepter 4", Office of the President.
Fushimi, who entered the room without knocking, found Munakata relaxing behind the office desk and Awashima, who was restless.
Munakata smiled at Fushimi, and Awashima looked at Fushimi and strengthened her face.
"You are on time. Please sit there."
"Yes."
Fushimi sat on the guest couch with his hands in his pockets. Awashima opened her mouth with a rough face as she crossed her legs, but Munakata got to his feet before that.
"Thank you for your hard work on 'Idol NEO'. I just received a copy of the show, so let's watch it together."
"Hmm.", Snorting, Fushimi said wryly.
"Is that why you decided for me to go in there?"
Munakata did not answer the question. Or maybe she didn't need to answer. He picked up the DVD from the office desk and gave it to Awashima.
"Awashima-kun, here."
Awashima turns around for a moment and then opens her mouth as if she dares to question.
"President, it seems awkward to offer it, but Fushimi is a person. In the future, please don't make an early decision."
Munakata smiled deeply. He said that, hiding his mouth from her with a DVD case.
"I will decide when to make a decision."
"Yes."
Receiving the DVD this time, Awashima walked over to the TV stand. On the way, Fushimi and Awashima looked at each other. Fushimi shrugged slightly, and she responded to him gaze as if she was worried about something.
When the DVD player swallowed the disc, the video started streaming after a while.
A boy is reflected in the background of a simple but elegant outfit. A gentle, promising boy with silver-white hair, however, he has the personality of a grown prince that doesn't look his age.
He presents himself with a smile to the camera. "Hello everyone, good evening. I am the moderator of "Idol NEO" Isana Yashiro."
Munakata sat next to Fushimi and laughed.
"Although he's a decent 'Idol King', he acts as a show host for another entertainment agency. This person really has no restraint."
"Because it's a poor office, it can't be helped."
Fushimi responds to the launch. There are many mysteries about Isana Yashiro, the "Silver Idol King". Despite his position as a representative of a government-approved office, he appears on all shows with the comfort of a lost idol. However, that can be said not only of him but of all the idols belonging to "Shirogane Record".
Awashima, who regained her usual calm, muttered in a calm voice.
"Still, the ability is safe."
As she says, Isana Yashiro performs the show in a familiar tone. He talks well to regular performers, he completes the story when he sees the moment, suddenly throws a story at the audience and makes them laugh.
He should have seen it with his own eyes, but he decided to show the edited video again when it was finished. Isana Yashiro's best ability is striking.
And he has reached that moment.
The moment the conversation was interrupted, Isana Yashiro showed a smile in one direction while pointing one arm at the camera.
"Now, let's call today's special guest."
"Finally."
Munakata, he muttered happily. Fushimi exhaled a bit as he watched Awashima, who was standing, clenched her hands tightly at the edge of his field of vision.
Fushimi doesn't know how his actions are perceived.
What can become.
"Today's guests are Saruhiko Fushimi from idol unit "Shoumutai" and Anna Kushina from "Homura Entertainment Office"."
A crackling voice echoed beyond the chamber. With that in the background, Fushimi with a grumpy face and expressionless Anna appeared on the scene.
Fushimi walked to the center of the set with his back hunched over, his hands in his pockets. Anna followed him. Awashima whispered, "Attitude, attitude!" But even now, she couldn't communicate with Fushimi on television.
The camera projected Fushimi upward. Fushimi looked at him with stagnant eyes. He still had his hand in his pocket.
Awashima muttered as if she was even more impatient.
"What's the turn...?"
Fushimi looked at Awashima. He believed that she was still connected. "Promotion Scepter 4" is a vertical company. He does not believe that Akiyama's actions were directed by Awashima, but he could have predicted that the report was being made.
"Shoumutai, Saruhiko Fushimi. Nice to meet you."
Fushimi said that on camera bluntly. Awashima's expression paled. This is because he was doing what they were told him should never do while practicing speaking in "Shoumutai".
When…
Anna, who came from behind, slapped Fushimi's thighs.
"Tsk."
"Saruhiko. Hostile."
At the moment, the audience seats were boiling.
Awashima opened her eyes. Munakata watches him with a calm expression.
The camera panned and projected the same regular entertainers laughing. Isana Yashiro laughs and rushes in when the laughter has died down.
"Anna-chan, you haven't introduced yourself yet."
"Ok. I'm Anna Kushina. Thank you."
She smiled at the camera and curtsied and for some reason there was applause. Anna looked back at Fushimi, who was silent with a sour expression.
"If you want to try, do it."
"I'm Saruhiko Fushimi from "Dream Corps". Thank you."
When he leaned in the same way, laughter echoed again, mixed with applause. One of the comedians said, "What are you guys, a combination!" And the laughter came even more.
In a reasonable place, Isana Yashiro opened his mouth.
"Yes, thank you both for coming. You two originally knew each other, right?"
He took a little glance until Fushimi realized that he had been asked.
"A colleague from the previous office."
"Saruhiko, he's like this from the front. He's always been like this in the office and in the locker room."
As soon as Anna says that, she giggles a little again. Isana Yashiro laughs too.
"I see. Fushimi-kun, is this your first experience on a talk show?"
"Yes, that's how it is."
"In that case, I think there are many things that you are not used to."
"Okay. If Saruhiko acts weird, I'll hit him."
The laughter is repeated. Fushimi, was silent in front of the camera, but deep down in laughter, he seems shy. It was actually just a bittersweet sensation, but in this world, what you see on camera is the truth.
Awashima, who had been watching the video while she was holding her breath until then, sighed in relief.
"The place has heated up."
"Yes. If this happens, whatever you do will be accepted favorably."
And the show continued exactly as it was.
Most of "Idol NE0" was a talk from Isana Yashiro and regulars. There were many conversations with guests Fushimi and Anna, but each time, Fushimi responded in an unfriendly way. Fushimi's response, which could have made the usual atmosphere worse, with the skillful moderator Isana Yashiro and Anna's rescue, all turned into laughter.
Finally, when the video ended, Munakata smiled and spoke to Fushimi.
"It's wonderful. It's a passing score for the first talk show."
Fushimi clicked his tongue.
Munakata narrowed his eyes at the reaction.
"Oh, you are not happy with this result, right?"
Fushimi looks back at Munakata, saying that he knows. However, only a few in the entertainment world can beat his smile. Finally, Fushimi was in a dissatisfied tone.
"Other than that, I have no complaints. I think I made a loan."
"What do you mean by loan?"
"I just did it as usual. The team members told me to do it as a kind of 'character', but I don't have to bother doing it. Just like me. I'll do it how I know how to do it, that's the right thing to do."
Fushimi clicked his tongue again in frustration.
"It worked, not because it was good, but because Isana Yashiro and Anna changed it."
Awashima looks up and asks.
"It's a loan?"
Before Fushimi, Awashima raised her hand to her forehead with a frightened expression.
"That would be common on talk shows."
"It's exactly like Awashima says. You don't have enough research and experience. I was wondering if you've already woven that much."
Fushimi looked really unpleasant at Munakata's words, including laughter. He then he got up from the couch, looked at Munakata and said...
"Anyway, I've kept my promise. It's fine. Don't accept this offer again."
A word from Munakata stopped Fushimi's legs as he tried to walk.
"I cannot do this."
Munakata stood up with a smile on his face. As he watched, Awashima began to move quickly.
"This is a pass. But, Fushimi-kun, do you think I got an offer like that just to harass you?"
"Yes."
"This is also a disappointment. I don't do that irrational imitation. I got this job because I thought it would be a good experience for you."
There is no such difficult problem in this world as seeing through Reisi Munakata's ideas. Awashima handed a pile of materials to Fushimi, who was standing with a rough face.
Fushimi asked.
"What is this?"
"This is a new program that we have decided to launch with "Promotion Scepter 4". We must do our best to bring this project to success."
"Are you going to this?"
"Yes. I will make you act regularly. The moderator is me; I will make you act as an assistant."
Fushimi opened his eyes.
"Ah."
"I'll do it. That's why I experimented with this 'Idol NEO'."
Fushimi looked at Awashima. Awashima shakes her head with an expression of giving up.
Meanwhile, Munakata smashed Fushimi's escape route one by one.
"The skill of" Idol King "Isana Yashiro is excellent. But do you have a grudge against him throwing you? So, get revenge here. On this show, me, the moderator, and the usual "Shoumutai" of course, but the assistant it is an important factor. "
"……"
The material in question was distorted with a loud noise. Fushimi was about to crush him.
Munakata keeps talking without worrying about such a reaction.
"The broadcast is the show's next reorganization period. For now, study all about being an assistant next week."
As he stared at the material like a needle, a smile still appeared on Fushimi's mouth.
"Is it a life plan?"
Munakata shakes his head gently.
"It is not an order. It is a 'job'."
"Hmm.", Fushimi snorted and hit the material.
"Okay. If it's work, I'll do my best."
"That's good."
"But I'll do it the way I am. It's the same as when I was on that show. This time there will be neither Anna nor Isana Yashiro. I probably won't like it, but if it's okay, I will."
Munakata responded to Fushimi's intrepid words with an even more intrepid smile.
"I'm an 'Idol King'. It's not as easy as shooting with you alone."
"Fu."
"Fufufufu."
Two idols laughed.
Anger and revulsion, self-confidence and ambitious laughter echo in "Promotion Scepter 4". Only one of them, Seri Awashima, closed her eyes and stood still as if she had a headache.
Later, it was the beginning of a variety show called "National Popular Show", Countdown Dissolution, "Shoumutai".

Few years prior (When the two of you were 6 years old.):
You were in the park with your parents beside behind you, talking freely. You were singing until you felt something hit your left foot. You stopped and looked at the colorful ball. “Are you okay Hun? Why did you stop?” Your mother asked. “There’s a ball.” You answered with excitement. You picked up the ball and began showing it to your parents.
“We should give this to whoever owns it Y/n. Let’s find the owner okay?” You nodded. You looked around to see someone your age running towards you. “Uhm excuse me!” He shouted. Your parents along with you looked at him. “Is this your volleyball?” Your mother asked to the young boy. The said boy panted and nodded. “Here you go!” You gave the boy the volleyball. “I’m Y/n, what’s your name?”
“.. I’m Tobio. Nice to meet you..!” He introduced. “Nice to meet you too Tobio-chan! Can I play with you?” He looked at your parents, who were nodding. “Okay.” He smiled. “Yay!” You looked at your parents who were also smiling. Kageyama ran to an open space to play and you followed him.
Kageyama showed you every basics he knew about volleyball. “Y/n-san, this is how you receive the ball.” He positioned himself to show you. “Oohh ok!!” You nodded, understanding a bit. You copied his pose and smiled. “Like this?”
“No, you have to lower the arms a bit.” He held your arm and slowly and gently lowered it a bit. Your parents who were sitting in a nearby bench talked to Kageyama’s parents.
“And then when the ball comes to you, you have to lift your hands to keep the ball in play. But don’t try to save it when the ball goes outside the court.” He explained. You nodded. “Ok then. Let’s try!” He walked into a far enough distance and softly spiked the ball for you. You positioned yourself into where you think the ball is going to land, your eyes not leaving the ball. Once you felt the ball on your forearms, you lifted it up, keeping the ball on the air.
Kageyama clapped and congratulated you. “You’re doing great, Y/n-san!” He complimented. “Thank you! I could never have done that without a great teacher.” You complimented back, making him flustered. “Oh! When’s your birthday? I want to celebrate it with you when it’s your birthday.” You asked.
He rubbed his neck, in embarrassment about earlier. “...Today. Is my birthday..” He answered, leaving eye contact. Your eyes lid up at the answer. “Today?! Happy birthday Tobio!” You quickly grabbed Kageyama’s hand and dragged him to where his and your parents are at. “Momma, Papa, Can I please buy Tobio-chan ice cream? It’s his birthday today and I want to celebrate it with him!” Your words made the parents go in awe.
“Of course, Dear.” Your mother softly smiled. You grinned while Kageyama looked at his shoes. “I saw your receive earlier. Good job my little player.” Your father grinned, giving you a thumbs up. “Thank you papa! Tobio-chan helped me!”
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
Your mother bought two ice creams for the both of you. You both sat beside each other, talking and knowing more about each other. “What is your favorite drink Y/n-san?” He asked. “I like f/d! It tastes so good! How about you?” You answered. “I like milk and yogurt.” He replied.
The conversation continued. Little did you both know, the parents took a picture of the first moments you two were playing.
“I forgot to ask, Tobio-chan. What school do you go to?” You asked, curiously. “I go to Akiyama Elementary.” He answered, taking a eating a piece of his ice cream. “Oh really?! Me too!!” You exclaimed, grinning widely. He smiled too. “I wonder how I haven’t seen you before. That’s weird.”
In the middle of silence for both of you, you asked again. “Do you have siblings???”
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
You were invited to come to Kageyama’s house for the day. With your parents acceptance of course. You jumped as high as you can and rang the doorbell. You landed on your feet and waited. When the door opened, you expected to see Kageyama, instead, you saw an older but young woman in front of you.
“Hello, Are you Tobio’s friend?” The woman asked. You nodded. “Mhm! I’m Y/n nice to meet you!” You waved, happiness radiating off you. “Nice to meet you too! I’m Miwa Kageyama, Tobio’s older sister.” She introduced.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
Once you met Kageyama’s grandfather, he teached you how to play volleyball and even playing matches with his grandchildren.
Once it was time to go back home. Your mother thanked them and you waved them goodbye. “Bye bye! See you all next time!!” You waved, leaving with your mother.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
In school, you met with Kageyama, so you greeted him. “Tobio-chan! Good morning.” He looked at you and slightly blushed. “Good morning Y/n-san!”
“Yesterday was fun! I wanna go to your house again!” You widely smiled. “Uh- oh sorry.. I have practice with the Little Falcons today.” Your smile faltered. “Oh..” “But if you want to- You could come see us practice..!” He slightly panicked. You perked up, nodding eagerly.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
“Ah, Nice to meet you again Y/n. Are you here to watch?” Kazuyo asked. You nodded, standing beside him. “I want to learn how to play volleyball, and Tobio-chan invited me! Which is so nice. Maybe if I watch them play, maybe I could be just as good as them!” He chuckled. “Of course you will Y/n.” He patted your head.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
Skip to fourth grade:
“You got your very first Jersey? That’s great! You can play in official matches now Tobio! Isn’t that great?!” You boasted. Kageyama held the jersey tightly and teared in joy. He nodded.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
Skip to Junior High 1st year:
“Hey Tobi- Are you okay?” You asked concerned. “My grandfather..” He muttered, tears falling down. “Kazuyo-san? What’s wrong?” You placed both your hands on each shoulder. He looked at you, pain in his eyes. “He’s in the hospital..... His health, He’s gone...” He choked through some of his words. You felt yourself tearing up with him. His grandfather was also a great teacher and a friend to you. You hugged Kageyama. He hugged you back.
“I- I joined the Kitagawa Daiichi Volleyball team.. I’ll do my best to be the best setter.” He told you. You hummed and nodded. “I know you will Tobio, you’re the best setter I have ever seen.” You smiled.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
During Kageyama’s practices with his teammates, you would regularly visit and watch them play. You became friends with many of his teammates, which made him be slightly jealous but happy.
Kageyama started practicing more with his Kitagawa Daiichi teammates and found worthy rivals in his upperclassmen. He seemed to be happy when he touches the ball or play volleyball. It makes you smile.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
Few days later after the end of practice, with Kageyama idolizing Oikawa. The others left to go home. Leaving only you, Kageyama, Oikawa, and Iwaizumi. You were waiting to go home with Kageyama. You watched as Kageyama went to Oikawa with a volleyball in hand.
Kageyama went to Oikawa with a volleyball. “Oikawa, Can you maybe teach me how to serve?” He asked while innocently smiling. Oikawa looked at him silently. There was no response from Oikawa for the moment, which made you, and Iwaizumi concerned.
Oikawa then gritted his teeth and almost hit Kageyama. Luckily, Iwaizumi was there in time to stop him. You immediately ran beside Kageyama and asked if he was fine. Kageyama only looked shocked as you. “Get a hold of yourself, dumbass!” Iwaizumi scolded. He slowly let go of Oikawa’s wrist once he places it beside him.
“Sorry...”
“Kageyama, we’re all done for the day.”
“O- Ok.” Then Kageyama jogged away. You quickly followed him on instinct. As you both go farther away from the gym, the lower their voices get. Once he stopped, you hugged him from behind. “It’s fine Tobio, It’s not your fault. Maybe Oikawa-senpai was just stressed today..”
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
The next day, Oikawa seemed to be better than yesterday. Kageyama was too. Kageyama went to Oikawa with a volleyball again and asked “Oikawa, can you teach me how to serve toss?”
You were ready to stand up “Yeah right, in your dreams dummy.” He stuck his tongue out. You sat slightly relaxed once more. Luckily he wasn’t going to almost hit him again. Iwaizumi scolded him for bullying.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
Kageyama and the team was in second place when they won a set from the Shiratorizawa. Oikawa was received the best setter award. You giggled as Oikawa told Kageyama that he will beat him one day with a runny nose.
Once they were outside the building, You all congratulated them on their 2nd place and 1st set against the Shiratorizawa.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
After Oikawa and Iwaizumi had left, Kageyama seemed to be more lonely and more demanding towards his teammates. He would always tell them that they should do better. He kept pushing them to much into their limits.
“Tobio- Stop it! Their tired, give them a break!” You snapped. Luckily, the team and you were the only ones in the gym. “But their not doing their best! I have to push them to be the greatest!”
Even though he knew you were right, he ignored it and continued doing what he does. Slowly, he loses all respect from all of his volleyball teammates except for you. You might sometimes hate him for his rude attitude, you still love him as your friend and probably more.
You were watching in the sidelines about the matches of Kitagawa Daiichi Junior High School vs Yukigaoka Junior High School. The Yukigaoka team seemed like they haven’t played volleyball except for an orange haired boy. As you watched the game start, you can’t help but frown as Kageyama boss his teammates around. He was benched soon after. Once Kageyama was back to the court, he did a set which no one spiked, earning a point to the Yukigaoka.
You gasped as he looked at his teammates at disbelief and snapped at them. They only responded coldly making Kageyama’s blood boil.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
After the game, you were going to cheer Kageyama up until you heard someone. A different voice. You hid and peeked to see who it was. “Hinata Shoyo..” You murmured, you heard his name earlier before the match started.
You couldn’t quite guess the words but you didn’t bother to move. Once Kageyama walked away, you immediately got out of your hiding spot and followed him. Hinata saw you and looked at you confused. He followed your figure until you stopped beside Kageyama.
“Hey...” You playfully whispered, trying to get him to smile slightly. He looked in front of him while he replied slightly cold. “What?”
“I got you a carton of milk from the vending machine~” You said in a sing-song tone. He slightly perked up, unnoticed by you. “Thanks-” He tried to snatch it away from you, but failed. “If you wanted it so badly Tobio-chan, Come and get it from me!~” You stuck out your tongue, then ran away.
Kageyama smirked than chased you. You smiled to yourself. ‘Mission accomplished, Making Tobio happy!’.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
You did the entrance exam of every school Kageyama joined to. Kageyama hoped he could join Shiratorizawa, but he failed the entrance exam.
“Did you fail in the entrance exam too?” He asked you. He was lying down beside you. “I passed.” He looked at you shockingly. “I passed all of the entrance exams.”
“That’s great...” His voice said otherwise. “So, which school are you attending?” You asked Kageyama. “Karasuno High.” He sighed. “Then I’ll join Karasuno too.” You murmured, yawning. Kageyama sat up and looked at you. “What?! No! You have to go to Shiratorizawa, it’s better there.”
“-But anywhere is better when my best friend is with me.” You blurted out. You slowly realized what you had said and blushed. He froze and blushed too. You did nothing to change your statement, instead keeping it like that. “Same here too..” He admitted. You both smiled and laughed.
He layed (Or laid) down with you once again. “Hey, remember the time where my teammates turned on me?” He looked at the ceiling, avoiding your eyes. Curious and concerned, you nodded. “Yeah, I do. Why?”
“I thought you were going to leave me too when they left me.” He laughed bitterly. “I’m glad you didn’t.” You hugged him reassuringly. “I’m glad I didn’t too.”
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
The first day was a shock. Hinata was there too. He was slightly hesitant on being friends with you but still gave in, you both became good friends. You regularly visit them on practices. Even Kiyoko offered you to be the next manager since you knew volleyball.
The others waited for your answer. You looked at Kageyama who seemed to be curious for your answer too. “Sure..?” Nishinoya and Tanaka cheered. “Another beautiful manager!!”
You giggled at them. You seemed to catch Kageyama smiling. You smiled back, which made him blush and look away.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
You learned more about being a manager, you also became close to everyone in the team. You helped Kiyoko on everything, refilling waters, cleaning the gym, everything, you name it.
Kageyama is grateful to meet you especially in a younger age. He decided on asking you out on a date later on his birthday. It took a lot of courage from his teammates and himself. You made a gift for him to give him when he told you to meet him later behind the gym.
[After he asked you out. You happily agreed, you also gave him the gift. He liked- no, Loved it. The rest is in your hands.]

your opinion on: each of the yakuza games; i know u like those but theres. so many of them
ok so thisll just be mainline. i have not played the original 1 and 2 or the spinoffs. spoilers minimum yadda yadda start 0- exceptional game. everything is super solid, its basically the peak of the brawler games. big reccomend k1- eh. the remake is basically just y0 2 but funny majima lmao!! and even then the majima shit gets boring after like, idk, 5 times. its alright though, the combat can get pretty crazy but thats like, it. k2- imma be completely honest: this was the most forgettable game for me LMAO. like yea ryuji is cool i guess and sotenbori in the dragon engine is pretty but other than that? its like... okay. like its not bad its just like whatever cool game. also i did like 0 side content in this game i think like i didnt touch the businesses at ALL. 3- its alright. the transition from super high fidelity dragon engine to early ps3 game engine was a little weird at first but other than that its okay. ppl complain about the combat but i didnt have much of an issue with it 4- SPEAKING OF COMBAT! least fave. i barely care abt the story and also the combat just DOES NOT FEEL GOOD. like as akiyama its all fine but then you're hit with a clunky slow style and a style that is not balanced at all with the other enemies. and the boss fights are BAD. genuinely some of the worst fights in this game. ugh i hate 4 so much 5- holy shit if you love side content youd adore this game. i honestly had more fun just doing side content than plot, but thats not to say its bad! its just that you kinda forget whats going on and you just shut your brain off. idk i like 5 its mega amibitious dumb fun with a story that falls apart when you think about it for more than a minute 6- speaking of stories that fall apart when you think about it for more than a minute is 6! its.. fine. ik people have a lot of problems with it but id say its still fun. i will say though that god damn this story is not written well at all. 7- absolute masterpiece. i honestly think if anyone should play at least one it should be 7. its just so good man the story and the gameplay and UGH its so fucking good man when i finish lost judgment ask me again and ill give my hot takes on the judgment games
