I got the lucky chance to ride Amtrak’s Keystone Service from Philly to New York and I have to say I am in love. This is just about the best of what Amtrak could be doing everywhere and it is criminal we are not doing this for more American cities
We really need to nationalize the rail network, and give Amtrak a budget to rival the US military
Yes, Amtrak had RDCs, and the MTA even borrowed them, in the equipment-short final days before the Metro-North Commuter Railroad was formed. On 19 August 1982, two NRPC Budds roll into Pleasantville as Harlem Line train 953.

Amtrak 792 departs Portland in October 1994. According to the timetable, it's 6:00 pm in the Rose City. Also, the timetable says this train is the Northwest Talgo. The trio of Superliners behind F40 AMTK 384 suggest that you shouldn't believe everything you read. That open area on the engineer's side of the train was once the site of Portland Terminal Company's Depot Yard. Today, the area is filled with condominiums.

Amtrak 340, one of the Hiawatha Service trains, moments earlier performed its station stop in Sturtevant, WI and in just over an hour will be arriving in Chicago where the crew will switch ends and run the same route back to Milwaukee.

AMTK is the collaborative practice of artists Andrew Mazorol (Brooklyn, NY) and Tynan Kerr (Los Angeles, CA). Their artistic partnership began 15 years ago in Minneapolis as the two were completing their studies (Tynan Kerr at MCAD, Andrew Mazorol at U of MN). They received early support from a Jerome Foundation Emerging Artist Fellowship and have exhibited at the MN Biennial at The Soap Factory, at Bockley Gallery, and the Temporary Museum of Contemporary Art in Minneapolis as well as Unspeakable Projects (SF and NYC).
In the spring of 1981, PennDot shut down the Parkway East for a rebuilding project. Their solution to this were commuter trains that ran between Pittsburgh and Greensburg. The power for these trains were U36B units on both ends. The train ran only from March to November of 1981, so this scene at Pitcairn of the Parkway Limited that October may very well have been one of the last scenes captured of this unique train.

Screenshot of me pulling AV221 (SCAX 922 leading in operation lifesaver livery) out of Union Station. It's a cloudy day so I chose the Operation Lifesaver livery to use to help people stay alert and stay alive around the tracks. This train will be going to Lancaster, CA.
This screenshot was taken from Train Sim World 4 Antelope Valley on my PS5 and the custom livery displayed is not my creation but that of barefeedbob#2060 (dovetail account name)! Hats off for the outstanding work. I love seeing trains sporting the Operation Lifesaver message so thanks for bringing that to the EMD F125.
Edit: had Amtrak (AMTK) reporting mark instead of Metrolink (SCAX).

A former Union Pacific GP9, which would become AMTK 763 and wear silver paint (of various phases), moves a train about. We’re atop Roosevelt Road once again.
I think the train *may* be the Illinois Zephyr; it’s powered by the short-lived GE P30CH. There’s a nice assortment of legacy passenger equipment in the background.
