all the thinkpieces about carlos' performance over charles lately are we forgetting we've been here already. carlos is a great midfield driver who shines in a midfield car. charles shines in a race winning car because he has what it takes to push that car to the limit. do not forget just because carlos won in singapore it's because of the actual frontrunners underperforming--ferrari this year is. a midfield car.

oh, the carlos detail is very interesting. i had noticed that vaguely but filed it away as “carlos trying to make himself ferrari in the way charles is” in order to help his contract negotiations… but, with charles wearing dior and clace in contrast it definitely tells a story.
carlos is trying to tie himself more heavily to ferrari as a brand while charles is distinguishing his personal brand from ferrari. can honestly interpret that both ways (1. carlos is staying and building his connection to ferrari, while charles is preparing to leave; or 2. charles has already resigned and comfortably had a new contract allowing him greater freedom, while carlos is still trying to get his contract renewed and needs the bargaining power).

Fred, my friend, maybe if you had aked CS to cover for Charles at the start this wouldn't have happened? Rb would have catched up anyway because their car is better but at the same time you would have avoided the crash, but obviously only Charles has to be a teamplayer
