Blind Watch BSD Season Five
I Feel Spiritually Unwell After That. Unfortunately @wafflesarecool and @animusmelodiam and I have completed season five of BSD. fortunately this means I can come back to Tumblr to not avoid spoilers Animus kept reblogging. However, as was pointed out by Animus before we started, this was very stroke inducing.
First off, as always, Animus Numbers:
Waffle disconnect count: 15
"what the fuck" count: 31 (thanks Amenogozen, Bram, and Fyodor!)
Animus numbers keep us pogging through the pain
We started off strong, immediately hating the Russians.
"he's fucking insane. but I'm rooting for him because I hate Fyodor more"
"'I hate both of them, but I hate this one slightly less so I'm rooting for him' is the entire mood"
Kyouka Lucy and Atsushi trio are top tier. We love them dearly.
"I believe Poe is a trained sniper over them not seeing a car in a flat area anyday."
"Waffle Ranpo is being the greatest detective to ever live. Stop dying."
Many, many, many "what the fuck that is a horrible idea" were said
WHY ARE VAMPIRES CANON???
"The most unprofessional UN meeting... why is waffle still dead"
"cuz he doesn't want to see the horrible UN meeting"
"true"
waffle becomes alive
"All you missed was a terrible UN meeting"
Oh look, we finally remember Atsushi has regenerative powers. How nice and convenient.
"where the fuck is emo at"
"How funny of you to ask"
"EMO!"
"EMO!"
All of these characters need to fucking consider getting some therapy
THE FUCKING LIGHTSABER??? IS A CHEAT SWORD!! FUCK THAT FUCKING SWORD I FUCKING HATE IT IT'S HORRIBLE FUCK THAT SWORD!!!
See Akutagawa cares too much about Dazai's approval, therefore, trying to make him betray that trust is tantamount to geeting tiger claws slashing you in the face.
Tachihara become Toph arc! You can learn from Jouno!
Speaking of Jouno what ever happened to that guy. Find out more next time I Guess!
bram pack
Aya and Bram have adopted each other. Kunikida and Bram get to have custody battle over Aya a la fist fighting her father.
"poor aya. I have a baked potato tho."
Never Fucking Piss Off The Happy Person.
Speaking of angered Kenji, how has the one power that was literally compared to Mother Nature itself not been played upon as Kenji being a vessel for a godly power similar to Chuuya and Atsushi? Like it's right there.
Yeet The Kenji.
"dazai don't try to drown Chuuya. Learn some humanity"
Chuuya deserves to kill Dazai As A Treat.
"Bram lives in an eternal state of going through it"
"Well he lives in an eternal state of being impaled, of course he's going through it."
The Fucking Shoujo Springtime Filer?????
"why is he being crucified? Why is bram jesu?"
The comparison of Bram to Jesus was found to be extra funny after Fyodor's last words.
"I love Sigma dearly, but he brought a gun to a knife fight and Lost."
SHOOT EM SHOOT EM DEAD
AYA NO BAD AYA- oh well ok fine sure.
"Atsushi your boyfriend is a vampire"
Bram has officially adopted Aya can't change my mind
"hey look, it's the cockroach" "dammit i was hoping Chuuya killed his ass"
THE END GOAL WAS SO FUCKING STUPID. THAT'S NOT HOW THAT WORKS. THAT'S NOT HOW ANY OF THIS WORKS. HUMANS CAN'T BE UNIFIED UNDER ONE LEADER AND FUCK THE PAGE IF THAT EVER WORKS LIKE THAT WITH IT'S STUPID LITTLE GOD ABILITIES. FUCKING DUMB AS HELL.
ALSO WHO THE FUCK IS THE UN TO DECIDE THQAT? THE UN ISN'T MADE UP OF EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY TO EXIST AND IT'S JUST LIKE 100 PEOPLE AT MAX DECIDINMG THE FATE OF THE WORLD SHOULD BE IN THE HANDS OF ONE ALL POWERFUL PERSON? NO FUCK YOU. LIKE CAT DAD SAID ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY. THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS AND IT SHOULD NEVER WORK LIKE THAT FUCLK THE TRANSMITTER FUCK THAT END GOAL.
THE ARGUMENT OF WHAT A STATE IS IS LIKE A MIDDLE SCHOOL ANARCHISTS IDEOLOGY OF WHY GOVERNMENT IS BAD. THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS AND THAT'S NEVER HOW IT EVER COULD WORK.
Also Ranpo had way too much fun being a terrorist. But like, he deserved to commit crime. As a treat.
Anyway, I gotta go work. This was hell.

Scriptures I’ve been meditating on
After all these things, this word of God came to Abram in a vision: “Don’t be afraid, Abram. I’m your shield. Your reward will be grand!” Then he took him outside and said, “Look at the sky. Count the stars. Can you do it? Count your descendants! You’re going to have a big family, Abram!” And he believed! Believed God! God declared him “Set-Right-with-God.”
Genesis 15:1,5-6 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Genesis%2015:1,5-6&version=MSG
She answered God by name, praying to the God who spoke to her, “You’re the God who sees me! “Yes! He saw me; and then I saw him!”
God continued, “The cries of the victims in Sodom and Gomorrah are deafening; the sin of those cities is immense. I’m going down to see for myself, see if what they’re doing is as bad as it sounds. Then I’ll know.”
Genesis 16:13,18:20 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Genesis%2016:13,18:20&version=MSG
20 After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Neco king of Egypt went up to fight at Carchemish on the Euphrates, and Josiah went out to meet him. 21 But he sent envoys to him, saying, "What have we to do with each other, king of Judah? I am not coming against you this day, but against the house with which I am at war. And God has commanded me to hurry. Cease opposing God, who is with me, lest he destroy you." 22 Nevertheless, Josiah did not turn away from him, but disguised himself in order to fight with him. He did not listen to the words of Neco from the mouth of God, but came to fight in the plain of Megiddo. 23 And the archers shot King Josiah. And the king said to his servants, "Take me away, for I am badly wounded." 24 So his servants took him out of the chariot and carried him in his second chariot and brought him to Jerusalem. And he died and was buried in the tombs of his fathers.
I have heard the many rumors about me, and I am surrounded by terror. My enemies conspire against me, plotting to take my life. But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. Let your favor shine on your servant. In your unfailing love, rescue me. Don’t let me be disgraced, O Lord, for I call out to you for help. Let the wicked be disgraced; let them lie silent in the grave. Silence their lying lips— those proud and arrogant lips that accuse the godly. How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. You hide them in the shelter of your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. You shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues.
Psalm 31:13-20 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Psalm%2031:13-20&version=NLT
23 Love the Lord, all you his saints!
The Lord preserves the faithful
but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride.
24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord!
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me - practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
2 chronicles 36
15 The Lord, the God of their fathers, sent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 But they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words and scoffing at his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.
20 He took into exile in Babylon those who had escaped from the sword, and they became servants to him and to his sons until the establishment of the kingdom of Persia, 21 to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. All the days that it lay desolate it kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.
Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Interlude The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.” Many sorrows come to the wicked, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the Lord. So rejoice in the Lord and be glad, all you who obey him! Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!
Psalm 32:5,8-11 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Psalm%2032:5,8-11&version=NLT
In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.
Psalm 33:21-22 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Psalm%2033:21-22&version=NLT
Then they celebrated the Festival of Unleavened Bread for seven days. There was great joy throughout the land because the Lord had caused the king of Assyria to be favorable to them, so that he helped them to rebuild the Temple of God, the God of Israel.
Ezra 6:22 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Ezra%206:22&version=NLT
King Artaxerxes had given a copy of the following letter to Ezra, the priest and scribe who studied and taught the commands and decrees of the Lord to Israel: “From Artaxerxes, the king of kings, to Ezra the priest, the teacher of the law of the God of heaven. Greetings. “I decree that any of the people of Israel in my kingdom, including the priests and Levites, may volunteer to return to Jerusalem with you. I and my council of seven hereby instruct you to conduct an inquiry into the situation in Judah and Jerusalem, based on your God’s law, which is in your hand. We also commission you to take with you silver and gold, which we are freely presenting as an offering to the God of Israel who lives in Jerusalem. “Furthermore, you are to take any silver and gold that you may obtain from the province of Babylon, as well as the voluntary offerings of the people and the priests that are presented for the Temple of their God in Jerusalem. These donations are to be used specifically for the purchase of bulls, rams, male lambs, and the appropriate grain offerings and liquid offerings, all of which will be offered on the altar of the Temple of your God in Jerusalem. Any silver and gold that is left over may be used in whatever way you and your colleagues feel is the will of your God. “But as for the cups we are entrusting to you for the service of the Temple of your God, deliver them all to the God of Jerusalem. If you need anything else for your God’s Temple or for any similar needs, you may take it from the royal treasury. “I, Artaxerxes the king, hereby send this decree to all the treasurers in the province west of the Euphrates River: ‘You are to give Ezra, the priest and teacher of the law of the God of heaven, whatever he requests of you. You are to give him up to 7,500 pounds of silver, 500 bushels of wheat, 550 gallons of wine, 550 gallons of olive oil, and an unlimited supply of salt. Be careful to provide whatever the God of heaven demands for his Temple, for why should we risk bringing God’s anger against the realm of the king and his sons? I also decree that no priest, Levite, singer, gatekeeper, Temple servant, or other worker in this Temple of God will be required to pay tribute, customs, or tolls of any kind.’ “And you, Ezra, are to use the wisdom your God has given you to appoint magistrates and judges who know your God’s laws to govern all the people in the province west of the Euphrates River. Teach the law to anyone who does not know it. Anyone who refuses to obey the law of your God and the law of the king will be punished immediately, either by death, banishment, confiscation of goods, or imprisonment.” Praise the Lord, the God of our ancestors, who made the king want to beautify the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem! And praise him for demonstrating such unfailing love to me by honoring me before the king, his council, and all his mighty nobles! I felt encouraged because the gracious hand of the Lord my God was on me. And I gathered some of the leaders of Israel to return with me to Jerusalem.
Ezra 7:11-28 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Ezra%207:11-28&version=NLT
These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy. Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:5-10 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=1%20Timothy%206:5-10&version=NLT
7 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's."
12 Who can discern his errors?
Declare me innocent from hidden faults.
13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins;
let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless,
and innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Then the Jews who lived near our enemies came to us. They told us ten times, “No matter where you are, they’ll attack us.” So I stationed some people behind the lowest parts of the wall. That’s where our enemies could easily attack us. I stationed the people family by family. They had their swords, spears and bows with them. I looked things over. Then I stood up and spoke to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people. I said, “Don’t be afraid of your enemies. Remember the Lord. He is great and powerful. So fight for your families. Fight for your sons and daughters. Fight for your wives and homes.” Our enemies heard that we knew what they were trying to do. They heard that God had blocked their evil plans. So all of us returned to the wall. Each of us did our own work.
Nehemiah 4:12-15 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Nehemiah%204:12-15&version=NIRV
Love for money causes all kinds of evil. Some people want to get rich. They have wandered away from the faith. They have wounded themselves with many sorrows. But you are a man of God. Run away from all these things. Try hard to do what is right and godly. Have faith, love and gentleness. Hold on to what you believe. Fight the good fight along with all other believers. Take hold of eternal life. You were chosen for it when you openly told others what you believe. Many witnesses heard you.

eternal truth
is illuminated by words that have been conserved by which we come to “believe...” in Light and in Love
to filter out the lies of this world so that the heart may be set free by knowing truth. which is what we read in Today’s chapters of the Scriptures beginning with the book of John that illuminates our beautiful mysterious Creator:
[The Bread of Life]
“Don’t waste your energy striving for perishable food like that. Work for the food that sticks with you, food that nourishes your lasting life, food the Son of Man provides. He and what he does are guaranteed by God the Father to last.”
To that they said, “Well, what do we do then to get in on God’s works?”
Jesus said, “Throw your lot in with the One that God has sent. That kind of a commitment gets you in on God’s works.”
They waffled: “Why don’t you give us a clue about who you are, just a hint of what’s going on? When we see what’s up, we’ll commit ourselves. Show us what you can do. Moses fed our ancestors with bread in the desert. It says so in the Scriptures: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”
Jesus responded, “The real significance of that Scripture is not that Moses gave you bread from heaven but that my Father is right now offering you bread from heaven, the real bread. The Bread of God came down out of heaven and is giving life to the world.”
They jumped at that: “Master, give us this bread, now and forever!”
Jesus said, “I am the Bread of Life. The person who aligns with me hungers no more and thirsts no more, ever. I have told you this explicitly because even though you have seen me in action, you don’t really believe me. Every person the Father gives me eventually comes running to me. And once that person is with me, I hold on and don’t let go. I came down from heaven not to follow my own whim but to accomplish the will of the One who sent me.
“This, in a nutshell, is that will: that everything handed over to me by the Father be completed—not a single detail missed—and at the wrap-up of time I have everything and everyone put together, upright and whole. This is what my Father wants: that anyone who sees the Son and trusts who he is and what he does and then aligns with him will enter real life, eternal life. My part is to put them on their feet alive and whole at the completion of time.”
At this, because he said, “I am the Bread that came down from heaven,” the Jews started arguing over him: “Isn’t this the son of Joseph? Don’t we know his father? Don’t we know his mother? How can he now say, ‘I came down out of heaven’ and expect anyone to believe him?”
Jesus said, “Don’t bicker among yourselves over me. You’re not in charge here. The Father who sent me is in charge. He draws people to me—that’s the only way you’ll ever come. Only then do I do my work, putting people together, setting them on their feet, ready for the End. This is what the prophets meant when they wrote, ‘And then they will all be personally taught by God.’ Anyone who has spent any time at all listening to the Father, really listening and therefore learning, comes to me to be taught personally—to see it with his own eyes, hear it with his own ears, from me, since I have it firsthand from the Father. No one has seen the Father except the One who has his Being alongside the Father—and you can see me.
“I’m telling you the most solemn and sober truth now: Whoever believes in me has real life, eternal life. I am the Bread of Life. Your ancestors ate the manna bread in the desert and died. But now here is Bread that truly comes down out of heaven. Anyone eating this Bread will not die, ever. I am the Bread—living Bread!—who came down out of heaven. Anyone who eats this Bread will live—and forever! The Bread that I present to the world so that it can eat and live is myself, this flesh-and-blood self.”
At this, the Jews started fighting among themselves: “How can this man serve up his flesh for a meal?”
But Jesus didn’t give an inch. “Only insofar as you eat and drink flesh and blood, the flesh and blood of the Son of Man, do you have life within you. The one who brings a hearty appetite to this eating and drinking has eternal life and will be fit and ready for the Final Day. My flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. By eating my flesh and drinking my blood you enter into me and I into you. In the same way that the fully alive Father sent me here and I live because of him, so the one who makes a meal of me lives because of me. This is the Bread from heaven. Your ancestors ate bread and later died. Whoever eats this Bread will live always.”
He said these things while teaching in the meeting place in Capernaum.
[Too Tough to Swallow]
Many among his disciples heard this and said, “This is tough teaching, too tough to swallow.”
Jesus sensed that his disciples were having a hard time with this and said, “Does this throw you completely? What would happen if you saw the Son of Man ascending to where he came from? The Spirit can make life. Sheer muscle and willpower don’t make anything happen. Every word I’ve spoken to you is a Spirit-word, and so it is life-making. But some of you are resisting, refusing to have any part in this.” (Jesus knew from the start that some weren’t going to risk themselves with him. He knew also who would betray him.) He went on to say, “This is why I told you earlier that no one is capable of coming to me on his own. You get to me only as a gift from the Father.”
After this a lot of his disciples left. They no longer wanted to be associated with him. Then Jesus gave the Twelve their chance: “Do you also want to leave?”
Peter replied, “Master, to whom would we go? You have the words of real life, eternal life. We’ve already committed ourselves, confident that you are the Holy One of God.”
Jesus responded, “Haven’t I handpicked you, the Twelve? Still, one of you is a devil!” He was referring to Judas, son of Simon Iscariot. This man—one from the Twelve!—was even then getting ready to betray him.
The Book of John, Chapter 6:27-71 (The Message)
and there are those in this world who choose to lie and betray to hurt others, sadly. and even so, we still need to keep trusting in Love to make things right, somehow and at some point.
and we read of such things from Today’s reading as well with Psalm 12 for december 12:
A David Psalm
Quick, God, I need your helping hand!
The last decent person just went down,
All the friends I depended on gone.
Everyone talks in lie language;
Lies slide off their oily lips.
They doubletalk with forked tongues.
Slice their lips off their faces! Pull
The braggart tongues from their mouths!
I’m tired of hearing, “We can talk anyone into anything!
Our lips manage the world.”
Into the hovels of the poor,
Into the dark streets where the homeless groan, God speaks:
“I’ve had enough; I’m on my way
To heal the ache in the heart of the wretched.”
God’s words are pure words,
Pure silver words refined seven times
In the fires of his word-kiln,
Pure on earth as well as in heaven.
God, keep us safe from their lies,
From the wicked who stalk us with lies,
From the wicked who collect honors
For their wonderful lies.
The Book of Psalms, Poem 12 (The Message)
and from Today’s reading of Psalm 46 we see the importance of trusting in Love (in God) while here in this world:
God is our shelter and our strength.
When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help.
So why run and hide?
No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails.
When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless.
When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless.
Even in heavy winds and huge waves,
or as mountains shake, we are sure and fearless.
[pause]
The Book of Psalms, Poem 46:1-4 (The Voice)
to be concluded by wisdom from the ancient book of Proverbs with chapter 12 for december 12:
To learn the truth you must long to be teachable,
or you can despise correction and remain ignorant.
If your heart is right, favor flows from the Lord,
but a devious heart invites his condemnation.
You can’t expect success by doing what’s wrong.
But the lives of his lovers are deeply rooted and firmly planted.
The integrity and strength of a virtuous wife
transforms her husband into an honored king.
But the wife who disgraces her husband
weakens the strength of his identity.
The lovers of God are filled with good ideas
that are noble and pure,
but the schemes of the sinner
are crammed with nothing but lies.
The wicked use their words to ambush and accuse,
but the lovers of God speak to defend and protect.
The wicked are taken out, gone for good,
but the godly families shall live on.
Everyone admires a man of principles,
but the one with a corrupt heart is despised.
Just be who you are and work hard for a living,
for that’s better than pretending to be important
and starving to death.
A good man takes care of the needs of his pets,
while even the kindest acts of a wicked man are still cruel.
Work hard at your job and you’ll have what you need.
Following a get-rich-quick scheme is nothing but a fantasy.
The cravings of the wicked are only for what is evil,
but righteousness is the core motivation for the lovers of God,
and it keeps them content and flourishing.
[Wisdom Means Being Teachable]
The wicked will get trapped by their words
of gossip, slander, and lies.
But for the righteous, honesty is its own defense.
For there is great satisfaction in speaking the truth,
and hard work brings blessings back to you.
A fool is in love with his own opinion,
but wisdom means being teachable.
[Learning to Speak Wisely]
If you shrug off an insult and refuse to take offense,
you demonstrate discretion indeed.
But the fool has a short fuse
and will immediately let you know when he’s offended.
Truthfulness marks the righteous,
but the habitual liar can never be trusted.
Reckless words are like the thrusts of a sword,
cutting remarks meant to stab and to hurt.
But the words of the wise soothe and heal.
Truthful words will stand the test of time,
but one day every lie will be seen for what it is.
Deception fills the hearts of those who plot harm,
but those who plan for peace are filled with joy.
Calamity is not allowed to overwhelm the righteous,
but there’s nothing but trouble waiting for the wicked.
Live in the truth and keep your promises,
and the Lord will keep delighting in you,
but he detests a liar.
Those who possess wisdom don’t feel the need
to impress others with what they know,
but foolish ones make sure their ignorance is on display.
If you want to reign in life,
don’t sit on your hands.
Instead work hard at doing what’s right,
for the slacker will end up working to make someone else succeed.
Anxious fear brings depression,
but a life-giving word of encouragement
can do wonders to restore joy to the heart.
Lovers of God give good advice to their friends,
but the counsel of the wicked will lead them astray.
A passive person won’t even complete a project,
but a passionate person makes good use
of his time, wealth, and energy.
Abundant life is discovered by walking in righteousness,
but holding on to your anger leads to death.[o]

A Meeting of Sorts (Female!HumanInquisitorXLeliana)
“This confirms my suspicion. He’s allowing this abuse to continue.”
The door to the Divine’s office was cracked open and a stranger’s vibrant authoritative voice carried into the hall. Her voice had the caramel resonance of a natural leader.
“Nor does it suprise me, Your Perfection," the woman continued, “coming from a templar officer content to wield power rather protect the innocent. The freedom of the mages can only be allowed if you were the one to acclaim it, Your Holiness. Not him.”
Leliana didn’t recognize the speaker but shared her feelings. She despised Lambert van Reeves-loathed Lambert van Reeves-though she knew the she ought not to.
“The Lord Seeker beliefs is his own,” Justina said. “Every being is entitled to it.”
“That’s generous, my lady, but it’s my conviction, and I’m sure it’s shared by others not blinded by regional loyalistes, that you have the say to the matter on the mages and our freedom. You-despite if you deny-are a friend to those with magical capability.”
Leliana stood still in order to better hear. Who was this woman? Their visitor was articulating precisely what she’d spent weeks, even months, telling the head of the Chantry. After all the mages have been through, the Templars and the Seekers still cast them aside as they were all abominations.
Justina ignored the compliment. “What matters now is bringing stability and tranq-I mean peace for both templars and mages,” she said. “The Lord Seeker is a....stubborn man. I doubt he would give the mages up so easily. And many mages are still loyal to the Chantry, young lady.”
Leliana heard the uncapping of an inkwell. Justina must have opened the inkwell to began the day off.
“Lambert is protruding on the mages’ unalienable rights, as well the Chantry for many centuries, yet the mages are still forced to kneel to the Templars corrupt knee? With all do respect, Your Perfection, the mages will always tug on the leash. At least you tried to protect as and help in any way you could.”
The stranger was right on that, Leliana concluded.
“I agree on the mages rights.”
Leliana nearly smiled to her the Divine agree with this stranger. Many of the Grand Clerics even believed that Justina was not being too restrictive, which Leliana disagrees wholeheartedly.
“Any rational being would tug on such a leash.”
Leliana heard the stranger hum in agreement. She was grateful for the visitors for recognizing Justina’s intervention. Justina was ashamed that she couldn't have prevented the infighting of the templars and mages.
“Lambert is an obstacle. Nearly impossible to move, but it can be move nonetheless. He is bitter, and as the Chants say, men are more profound to lust and passion, but also anger. Such behavior is contemptible when human and elves’ freedom is at stake.”
Leliana drew back slightly. Contemptible? Had she heard right? That was how she thought of Labert, but no one dared say it after the destruction at Kirkwall’s chantry. The speaker was confident and commanding, and she agreed with herm but she was foolishly bold.
“Lord Seeker Lambert may be thinking more about his own freedom of action than freedom in general,” Justina said.
I fear you are more than right, Your Holiness. I see that he nearly had me hoodwinked. Thank you for alerting me to the paranoia of the commoners, Your Perfection. It appears I must go back to the University, whether or not I am protected by you or the Chantry. I am willing to fight even the Blight itself if it sets the mages free.
There was something unusual about the stranger. Her voice had a Free Marcher lilt, but that wasn’t it. Perhaps it was her rich tone, or hold denunciation of Lambert. Leliana found herself inexplicably fascinated.
She gave her hood a tug to straighten its folds and crossed the hall to the door of the Divine’s office. She lifted her hand to knock, then dropped it. She felt shy.
“At least Lord Seeker Lambert didn’t begrudge me the good chevalier, the Marquis de Paulet. I spoken to the Marquis  when I visited the institution. Many of the chevalier students were terrified. Some even closed to desertion.”
“I don’t recall Marquis de Paulet,” Justina said. “He’s good? Not the type to bolt at the boom of a demon?”
Leliana knotted her fingers. Justina’s guest said things everyone else was too timid to put into words. She must met her. Leliana checked her armor and pushed open the door.
The visitor, she was a mage, sat her back to the door. “He’s just what I prefer in a military parson expect that he doesn't whore or drink. But Paulet will fight and-most important-he’ll not insist on you're going to heaven whether you want to or not.”
Justina sat with her headset propped on her desk. She smiled up at her. “Leliana, my dear. I didn’t realize you need me.”
The stranger jumped to her feet and turned around. Leliana stopped breathing. Although the mage stood only a few inches taller than her, her snug Orlesian clothing revealed a strong, athletic form. Her eyes were a striking color-a spendful yellowish-green-and she held her chin at a tilt, as if expecting a challenge. The mage was young and remarkably, even heavenly, beautiful. The stained colored glass was shining on the floor and it wrapped around the stranger in a godly glow.
Realizing her gaffe, the woman blushed to the roots of her raven black hair that she wore relatively short, up to her shoulders. She must be embarrassed. It was rather adorable.
“Please, pardon me, mademoiselle. I had no idea others were present,” the woman said and gave a graceful bow. A bow that show she was from nobility.
Leliana, allow me to introduce First Enchanter Alexandra Trevelyan of Ostwick,” Justina said without getting up. “She is getting an education at the University of Orlais. I’ve asked her to join us for supper.”
“I am pleased to welcome you, First Enchanter Trevelyan. I hope you’ll not object if we pray to the Maker before dinner. Some of us intended to reach the Golden City-though we shan’t force you to come along.”
Leliana spoke more tartly than intended, yet gave Alexandra her hand.
“Only His Bride can forgive me,” she said with a smile. “You must be destined to get there.”
She kissed her hand with a noble elegance. Of course she would forgive her. Leliana could probably forgive her anything.
Justina laughed. “An excellent recovery, First Enchanter.”
A lay sister appeared in the doorway. “Most Holy,” the sister say in her best company-come-to-tea manner, “suppered is served.”
“Thank you, Renée. First Enchanter Trevelyan, this way please.”
Placing the ugly headset on her head, Justina lead them from her office to dining room. Alexandra followed with a light step that gave an impression of grace and energy artfully controlled. Leliana darted a look at the gilded hall mirror as they passed and pushed back a strand of hair.
The candles’ glow on the red carpet gave a rosy hue to the polished silver, marble, and porcelain. There were only three plates.
“I thought Cassandra would be here by now, Most Holy,” Leliana said smoothly.
“No. I’m sorry to say that she’ll be unable to join us.” Justina turned to their guest as they sat. “My Right Hand is visiting her family in Nevarra.”
Trevelyan’s face showed concern. “I hope it’s nothing serious. Is one of her family members ill?”
“Nothing serious, I assure you. Cassandra’s family is vast and large in numbers.”
“Then she is blessed, Most Holy. I’ve always felt that a thriving family is paradise come early.”
Justina passed a basket of fresh bread. Alexandra took a slice and buttered it efficiently. Leliana noticed and took note that her motions were precise and quick. Every gesture seemed self-assured, and she, despite herself, felt a slight pang of shyness.
“What about you, First Enchanter?” Justina asked. “I heard of your family, and many are part of the Templar Order and the Chantry itself. Do you have any relatives in Val Royeaux?”
“No, Most Holy. I rather keep my family far from the fighting and politics of the mages and templars. And the...distrust has made communication more challenging,” Alexandra said, “My immediate family are rather close, but I confess my extended family and I aren’t close as I’d like. My mother died when I was a girl. The trade winds seem to have scattered us.”
Alexandra turned to Leliana. Her gaze felt as intimate as a hand upon her shoulder, or the gaze of the Maker Himself. She reached for her wine goblet. The spacious room seemed smaller than it was supposed to be.
“Lady Nightingale, I heard that you support the rise of the mages. That was noble, and I thank you.”
Leliana made herself look at her. Although Alexandra looked beautiful, she seemed to have dark circles around her eyes, indicating that she was not getting a full rest. A sudden pang of sympathy filled Leliana and she quickly pushed it away. While she did harbor sympathy for the mages, why should she feel sorry for Alexandra? She seemed like she grew up in a rather luxurious circle. But then again looks can be deceiving.
“I’m free and your people is not. I known mages, most were better than me, I see no reason why you should be put in a prison because you were born with abilities that you can’t control,” she said. “But the needless destruction of Kirkwall’s chantry was hard to defend.”
Leliana again heard a stridency she didn’t mean to intend to convey. What was wrong with her? Although she once felt inclined to mourn Grand Cleric Elthina’s death, she shouldn't betray it to a stranger, especially such an attractive one.
Justina stared at Leliana with keen eyes. “Leliana, it’s alright to mourn over the Grand Cleric’s death. The Maker gave us love and compassion for a reason.”
“Of course, Most Holy,” Leliana said picking at her food, and she felt herself flush. She wish she’d held her tongue.
Alexandra smiled caused Leliana’s heart to flutter. “The Grand Cleric’s death was truly a tragedy, and she's in all of the mages’ hearts and mind.”
Leliana nodded, and began to eat her food slowly.
The First Enchanter and the Divine spoke freely and, to Leliana’s surprise, as if there was no difference in age, rank, or influence. By the ending of supper, it was clear that the Divine of the Chantry and the First Enchanter of the Ostwick had taken a firm liking to one another.
Alexandra turned to Leliana and apologize as the sisters began to bring in dessert. “I pray you’ll forgive me for my rudeness, mademoiselle,” she said. “I’ve utterly monopolized your father and now compound my faux pax by leaving before dessert. If I visited again, and our rights are secured, than I hope you might enlighten me on your views.”
“Of course,” Leliana said, both flattered and dismayed. “It’s highly unfortunate you have to leave so soon.”
“I thank you, Most Holy, for indulging me in this enchanting company. But I must return to the university, or they would not believe I was here on business.”
“Of course, we wouldn’t wish you to neglect your studies, First Enchanter,” Leliana said as the young woman pushed back her chair.
A sister and the Divine rose to show their guest to the door, where the two women spoke for such a long time that Leliana could see the sun setting behind Justina when she returned.
“I have read, Alexandra Trevelyan’s pamphlets at the start of the war, and heard of her coolness under fire,” Justina said, “but I have no idea what a thoroughly fine scholar she is. Her grasp on political and military matters is remarkable for a woman at a such a young age. And she’s has strength of character. I see why the Ostwick nobles decided to send her to the university. I believe she will do some good in the future. She fights like a dragon.” A sister poured wine for the Divine. A smile played her lips.
Leliana was secretly happy that her friend enjoy herself. The young mage had seemingly restored the glow in the Grand Cathedral.
Yet Leliana wasn’t sure about her own feelings. The Free Marcher said she was enchanting, but her studies consumed her time and conversations. She had thoroughly ignored her. She might as well been a mural to examined.
Leliana took a deep breath. She was acting foolish, like a little girl having a crush on a little farm boy. She had no reason beyond her daring words and devastating, yet beautiful eyes.
Yet her heart seemed to still pounded in her chest, and she already missing the melodious voice of Alexandra Trevelyan.

I wrote this on the Day of Trumpets 2016, aka ‘Rosh Hoshanna’!  New beginnings, new hope, and a new light, Trumpets herald in a new kingdom. As Rosh Hoshanna begets the first day of the New Year; so I take a look at America. The article will reveal that in the future the judgment on this nation is set and that the true foundation has been lain to rest in a grave of old bones. America is not the same, nor has it been for a very long time. So What Foundation has America lain down? The answer you seek is in the article.
What Foundation has America lain down?
Gallows Hill Park, Salem MA
Less than a mile from Gallows hill, Salem Massachusetts is a spot that many know well. At least many think they do. The Boston Globe ran a story not too long ago about the Satanic Temple ,which has grown to about 40,000 members nationwide, opening their new headquarters. The story made the rounds on the internet and few if anyone really seem to care that it was going on.  The Boston Globe called it the ‘notorious spot’ where villagers executed people suspected of being witches so long ago. Of course the Salem witch trials has been the fodder for news tabloids, movies, and now today is the subject of a spot where not far from it is the Satanic temple headquarters.  In an article, ‘Where is the Real Gallows Hill’, the author says that in spite of all surviving court records and documents on the Salem witch trials, the real location of the spot where people were executed and hanged remain a mystery to this day.  Yet as of 2016, a Boston Globe article has said that the exact spot has been pinpointed where the Salem Witch hangings took place.
This is also the same Satanic Temple group whose members lobbied to have a bronze statue of Baphomet erected alongside the Ten Commandments in Oklahoma City.  However the Ten Commandments monument was destroyed by a man who said ‘Satan’ told him to destroy the State Capitol’s Ten Commandments monument.  In the end the Ten Commandments are still there subject to court fights. As of yet the Oklahoma Baphomet has not been erected.
A mirror article is found on www.warn-usa.com and titled America, The True Foundation lain to rest in a grave of old bones
However, not to be outdone; Detroit decided to have its own celebration of Satan. Calling it the “largest public satanic ceremony in history”, a pseudo-named leader of the Detroit Satanic Temple who goes by Jex Blackmore has organized and led the gathering.  The nine foot tall statue reveals not only the lengths to which Americans will go to destroy biblical foundations but also the actual freedom of choice the Lord God has given man. Free to accept or free to deny; it is your choice.
  This slideshow requires JavaScript.
A Facebook page of the group is rife with pictures of upside down crosses and young people who openly flaunt their choices for darkness instead of light. You are free to choose in America and the law that we have has been changed into a license for immorality. Make no mistake under Barack Obama, whom I have been calling lawless since his election has led the way for America and her new openness. This new openness heralded in by Obama and his team has reached a new level of both confusion and immorality. We can see Obama’s fruits of this lawlessness in every aspect of American life from Schools to the Military to the malls of America.
See the Video “National Monument to the Forefathers” continue in post!
Moreover, in all of this discussion let us reflect that the Salem witch trials and their infamous hangings which I mentioned at the start of this article is close to where the pilgrims first landed. The distance from Salem MA to Plymouth MA is a mere 61 plus miles apart. Boston is in the middle, the Atlantic comes into the harbor at Boston with Salem on one side and Plymouth on the other. The view across the harbor is just over 40 miles. Yet the real difference is hundreds of years apart.
Plymouth Harbor, By Linear77 – Own work, CC BY 3.0,
Furthermore, the area where the satanic temple headquarters has been placed is close to the very roots of America. This was where the Pilgrims disembarked to establish a colony at Plymouth. The year was 1620 and they had decided upon Plymouth and thus began construction of their first buildings.  The real landing place of the Pilgrims was at a boulder today known as Plymouth Rock.
“I often note with equal pleasure that God gave this one connected country to one united people — a people descended from the same language, professing the same religion, attached to the same principles of government, very similar in manners and customs, who by their joint counsels, arms, and efforts, fighting side by side through a long bloody war, have nobly established general liberty and independence.” —John Jay, Federalist No. 2, 1787
The real Plymouth Rock was a boulder about fifteen feet long and three feet wide which lay with its point to the east, thus forming a convenient pier for boats to land during certain hours of tide. This rock is authenticated as the pilgrims’ landing place by the testimony of Elder Faunce who in 1741 at the age of ninety-five was carried in a chair to the rock, that he might pass down to posterity the testimony of pilgrims whom he had personally known on this important matter.
Mayflower 2, By Paul Keleher – “Mayflower II” on flickr, CC BY 2.0,
The real extent of the purpose and advocacy of these pilgrims are seen in Gov. William Bradford’s own words which head up his writings. In his writings titled:  Gov. Williams Brantford’s History of Plymouth Colony he writes.
Christian Reader, I have looked at it as duty incumbent on me to commit to writing the first beginnings and after progress of the Church of Christ at Plymouth in New England. Source Chronicles of Pilgrims
It is clear the intent is to write a memoir and historical record of the colony and the writings are aimed at Christians! There is no debate here. Further the purpose was to inform on the progress of the Church of Christ which was to be started at Plymouth.  This is history, it is a record, and it is true here that godly men and women purposed to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to these shores.
“Here on its Rock, and on its sterile soil, began the kingdom not of kings but men; began the making of the world again.” Plymouth before the Pilgrims, Pg57 Arthur Loyd
The churches that followed out of the first at Plymouth were what were termed ‘Separatists’.  The churches were independent congregational churches and certainly not connected to a government 501c3 nor were they in anyway controlled by such. They were to be and owe obedience only to Christ.
Thus the proper and true, distinctly Christian churches were independent of each other with a body-politic that was endued with power immediately under and from Christ. Source: IBID, pg. 68.
Inscription on the National Monument to the Forefathers
Moreover we also have the guiding six principles which were formulated in writing by William Perkins who was a Cambridge graduate. He had formulated the six principles as the foundation of the Christian religion. This is but only summation of principles contained for those who want the foundational truths of the first separatists.  The spelling is in Olde English!
There is one God, Creator and Governour of all things, distinguished into the Father, the Sonne, and the Holy-Ghost.
All men are wholly corrupted with sin through Adams fall, and so are become slaves of Satan, and guilty of eternal damnation.
Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, being mad man, by his Death upon the Cross, and by his Righteousness hath perfectly, alone by himself, accomplished all things that are needful for the salvation of mankind.
A man of a contrite and humble spirit, by faith alone apprehending and applying Christi with all his merits unto himself, is justified before God and sanctified.
Faith commeth only by the preaching of the Word, and increaseth dayly by it; as also by the administration of the Sacraments, and Prayer.
All men shall rise again with their own bodies; to the last Judgment: which being ended, the godly shall possesse the Kingdome of Heaven; but Unbeleevers and Reprobates shall be in Hell tormented with the Devils and his Angels for ever. Source IBID: 6 principles found on pages 75- 76
I find it wholly conclusive when pondering the writings of historical documents of our forefathers that they were first and foremost Christian. Now while Ben Franklin was said to possess a Koran, the truth be told; here let it be acknowledged that our forefathers were Christian and laid down principles for such a kingdom on earth and a nation that the gospel would be spread throughout the world.
Now that America has fully turned from the truth, with many Churches today being considered heathen by the very nature of the ‘Separatists’ at the beginning of our nation; is it any wonder that Satanism and other atrocities have taken the nation over? It cannot be anything but disheartening to think how we have strayed and allowed the Governments of this land and our leaders to bring us away from our beginnings built upon a solid Rock. That Rock was Christ who blessed the first settlers to this land. The land was first and foremost the Lord Gods to give to whom he deemed. It is here that he chose to honor those who came. Although coming from England and in the name of King George and in the name of Christ; they did end up planting seeds of faith on these shores. The end result was America whether the rewritten history books and others disagree!
The Mayflower Compact:  In Olde English! Was signed on November 11th onboard the Mayflower after she came to harbor off Provincetown Harbor.
In ye name of God Amen· We whose names are vnderwriten, the loyall subjects of our dread soueraigne Lord King James by ye grace of God, of great Britaine, franc, & Ireland king, defender of ye faith. Haueing vndertaken, for ye glorie of God, and aduancemente of ye christian ^faith and honour of our king & countrie, a voyage to plant ye first colonie in ye Northerne parts of Virginia· doe by these presents solemnly & mutualy in ye presence of God, and one of another, couenant, & combine our selues togeather into a ciuill body politick; for ye our better ordering, & preseruation & furtherance of ye ends aforesaid; and by vertue hearof, to enacte, constitute, and frame shuch just & equall lawes, ordinances, Acts, constitutions, & offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meete & conuenient for ye generall good of ye colonie:  vnto which we promise all due submission and obedience.  In witnes wherof we haue herevnder subscribed our names at Cap Codd ye ·11· of Nouember, in ye year of ye raigne of our soueraigne Lord king James of England, france, & Ireland ye eighteenth and of Scotland ye fiftie fourth. Ano: Dom ·1620·|
The question then is, What Foundation has America lain down? The answer is that America born in the hearts of men, blessed by God’s providence, was by a manner possessed of the Holy God to formulate such adherence as to see the gospel spread and the nation unique among nations.  It certainly was not in the minds of the first pilgrims to have such a nation today. Little could they of known how the seeds sown in Plymouth and later on in Virginia could have sprouted a kingdom of nations that today see’s America as a Superpower among nations. Yet this superpower is Babylon and has forsaken the One True God.
In fact George Washington warned of those ‘corrupted morals’ which could reduce this nation so that no amount of words, as our Constitution could forbear nor stop the fall of the nation!
“The blessed Religion revealed in the word of God will remain an eternal and awful monument to prove that the best Institution may be abused by human depravity; and that they may even, in some instances be made subservient to the vilest purposes. Should, hereafter, those incited by the lust of power and prompted by the Supineness or venality of their Constituents, overleap the known barriers of this Constitution and violate the unalienable rights of humanity: it will only serve to shew, that no compact among men (however provident in its construction and sacred in its ratification) can be pronounced everlasting an inviolable, and if I may so express myself, that no Wall of words, that no mound of parchm[en]t can be so formed as to stand against the sweeping torrent of boundless ambition on the one side, aided by the sapping current of corrupted morals on the other.” –George Washington, fragments of the Draft First Inaugural Address, 1789
The very place where the first pilgrims walked and went to church and the area around them has now changed. It was at Salem where the witch trials were first held. And today where the satanic church is now laid a national office at, they do herald Baphomet and immorality. This is their right in the America today. Yet as the lawlessness of America increases exponentially, the judgment of God is not far off. For the wicked and all nations that forget God shall be turned into hell!
Watch the short video on the National Monument to the Forefathers, also learn more about the National Monument to the Forefathers mean.
In conclusion, America has for a long time taken up this lawlessness and as a foundation has laid another set up by those men in charge today who have defied the True and living God. The foundation that America has lain down is our Christian principles and foundation. No matter what the church looks like in America today, we do not the truth and certainly do not distinguish that which is evil and immoral from what is Truth and righteousness.
It is as Isaiah prophesied concerning Israel. As Israel went so America has traveled the same road of rebellion!
  Isa 5:13-24
(13)  Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
(14)  Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
(15)  And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
(16)  But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
(17)  Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.
(18)  Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:
(19)  That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!
(20)  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
(21)  Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
(22)  Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
(23)  Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
(24)  Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Today’s reading from the ancient books of Proverbs and Psalms
for Tuesday, january 12 of 2021 with Proverbs 12 and Psalm 12, accompanied by Psalm 23 for the 23rd day of Winter
[Psalm 12]
A David Psalm
Quick, God, I need your helping hand!
The last decent person just went down,
All the friends I depended on gone.
Everyone talks in lie language;
Lies slide off their oily lips.
They doubletalk with forked tongues.
Slice their lips off their faces!
Pull the braggart tongues from their mouths!
I’m tired of hearing, “We can talk anyone into anything!
Our lips manage the world.”
Into the hovels of the poor,
Into the dark streets where the homeless groan, God speaks:
“I’ve had enough; I’m on my way
To heal the ache in the heart of the wretched.”
God’s words are pure words,
Pure silver words refined seven times
In the fires of his word-kiln,
Pure on earth as well as in heaven.
God, keep us safe from their lies,
From the wicked who stalk us with lies,
From the wicked who collect honors
For their wonderful lies.
The Book of Psalms, Poem 12 (The Message)
[Psalm 23]
The Good Shepherd
David’s poetic praise to God
The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd.
I always have more than enough.
He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love.
His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss.
That’s where he restores and revives my life.
He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure
and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness
so that I can bring honor to his name.
Lord, even when your path takes me through
the valley of deepest darkness,
fear will never conquer me, for you already have!
You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way.
Your authority is my strength and my peace.
The comfort of your love takes away my fear.
I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.
You become my delicious feast
even when my enemies dare to fight.
You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit;
you give me all I can drink of you until my heart overflows.
So why would I fear the future?
For your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life.
Then afterward, when my life is through,
I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you!
The Book of Psalms, Poem 23 (The Passion Translation)
[Proverbs 12]
Abundant life is discovered by walking in righteousness,
but holding on to your anger leads to death.

Today’s reading in the ancient book of Proverbs and Psalms
for Tuesday, may 12 of 2020 with Proverbs 12 and Psalm 12 accompanied by Psalm 55 for the 55th day of Spring and Psalm 133 for day 133 of the year
lies can stalk us, hauntingly. yet the truth in Love sets us free from this. and we see it in the living Words of God.
to begin with the lines of a Psalm:
[Psalm 12]
A David Psalm
Quick, God, I need your helping hand!
The last decent person just went down,
All the friends I depended on gone.
Everyone talks in lie language;
Lies slide off their oily lips.
They doubletalk with forked tongues.
Slice their lips off their faces! Pull
The braggart tongues from their mouths!
I’m tired of hearing, “We can talk anyone into anything!
Our lips manage the world.”
Into the hovels of the poor,
Into the dark streets where the homeless groan, God speaks:
“I’ve had enough; I’m on my way
To heal the ache in the heart of the wretched.”
God’s words are pure words,
Pure silver words refined seven times
In the fires of his word-kiln,
Pure on earth as well as in heaven.
God, keep us safe from their lies,
From the wicked who stalk us with lies,
From the wicked who collect honors
For their wonderful lies.
The Book of Psalms, Poem 12 (The Message)
and the same theme continues with Today’s reading of chapter 12 in the book of Proverbs:
Abundant life is discovered by walking in righteousness,
but holding on to your anger leads to death.
The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 12 (The Passion Translation)
[Psalm 55]
A David Psalm
Open your ears, God, to my prayer;
don’t pretend you don’t hear me knocking.
Come close and whisper your answer.
I really need you.
I shudder at the mean voice,
quail before the evil eye,
As they pile on the guilt,
stockpile angry slander.
My insides are turned inside out;
specters of death have me down.
I shake with fear,
I shudder from head to foot.
“Who will give me wings,” I ask—
“wings like a dove?”
Get me out of here on dove wings;
I want some peace and quiet.
I want a walk in the country,
I want a cabin in the woods.
I’m desperate for a change
from rage and stormy weather.
Come down hard, Lord—slit their tongues.
I’m appalled how they’ve split the city
Into rival gangs
prowling the alleys
Day and night spoiling for a fight,
trash piled in the streets,
Even shopkeepers gouging and cheating
in broad daylight.
This isn’t the neighborhood bully
mocking me—I could take that.
This isn’t a foreign devil spitting
invective—I could tune that out.
It’s you! We grew up together!
You! My best friend!
Those long hours of leisure as we walked
arm in arm, God a third party to our conversation.
Haul my betrayers off alive to hell—let them
experience the horror, let them
feel every desolate detail of a damned life.
I call to God;
God will help me.
At dusk, dawn, and noon I sigh
deep sighs—he hears, he rescues.
My life is well and whole, secure
in the middle of danger
Even while thousands
are lined up against me.
God hears it all, and from his judge’s bench
puts them in their place.
But, set in their ways, they won’t change;
they pay him no mind.
And this, my best friend, betrayed his best friends;
his life betrayed his word.
All my life I’ve been charmed by his speech,
never dreaming he’d turn on me.
His words, which were music to my ears,
turned to daggers in my heart.
Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders—
he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out.
He’ll never let good people
topple into ruin.
But you, God, will throw the others
into a muddy bog,
Cut the lifespan of assassins
and traitors in half.
And I trust in you.

[Psalm 133]
A Pilgrim Song of David
How wonderful, how beautiful,
when brothers and sisters get along!
It’s like costly anointing oil
flowing down head and beard,
Flowing down Aaron’s beard,
flowing down the collar of his priestly robes.
It’s like the dew on Mount Hermon
flowing down the slopes of Zion.
Yes, that’s where God commands the blessing,
ordains eternal life.
